Yeah - strange as it may seem, “Utah Jazz” has built a lot of brand equity in 45 years.

I feel like the fact that both the place name and the team name have four letters packs a lot to the punch.

I love the bright yellow. I just hate the design elements of ... well ... nothingness.

If the design is based off this year's City Jersey ... meh.

Speaking of bright yellow...I love the Nu-FloJo look the Pacers have been rocking the past few seasons:

I have been hoping that the Pacers do an overhaul of their bland Nike uniforms and use this jersey design for the Association and Icon uniforms going forward. I mean, what's old is new again...

I remember when they wore their Batting Practice jerseys in 2014 and 2016 randomly. It was only a handful of times.

The only thing that is keeping this from being a great uniform IMO would be the yellow piping on the side of the jersey...

Will it be like how the Rockies, Avalanche, and Nuggets have a mountain on their team logos?

I'm thinking there might be some elements of the Colorado flag - for example, the monogram C of the Colorado flag.

  5. Not a uniform detail per se, but I think this might be the only thread where this might be appropriate for this.

Ball State used this logo, known as "Dancing Charlie," from the mid 1960s until the 1990s. Ball State has brought back this logo in recent years (first in football, and then through other sports):

I was going through the wonderful St. Louis Cardinals Uniforms and Logos website a few days when I found this 1958 scorecard for the Slugging Birds:

I feel like it was not uncommon back in the day for college teams to borrow logos from pro teams (heck, Ball State's helmet logo was the St. Louis/Phoenix football Cardinals logo the same time Dancing Charlie was the official athletics logo.) But the fact that I found this is very interesting.

I wonder if the MAC invites WKU again to even out the numbers, now that they would only need them and not MTSU.

WKU just feels like a school that would feel at home at the MAC. I always assumed that they were in the MAC before I realized they were in the C-USA.

And yet, and this is amazing, no pro sports teams called Bulldogs.  Wildcats too (not counting 2020 XFL).  Some of the most common college/HS names are out there:  Eagles, Falcons, Colts, Tigers, Rams, but not Bulldogs, Mustangs, Wildcats.

The only time I can remember a pro team in general having the Bulldog nickname were the former Boston Yanks, who only had the name for the 1949 season.

I could not agree more. Instead of running 500 qualifying laps, we actually had a race that rewarded driver skill. As you said, we saw that with the top three finishers in the race. The top five were all drivers who know who to properly run at a short track. The gun it and run it guys never really figured it out. Yesterday was good lesson for everyone on how important the drivers and crews should be in a race.

I agree. It was such a fun race to watch. Seeing how the drivers adjusted and adapted to the changing conditions was great. Also, even though I have mixed opinions on Ty Gibbs, he did a great job, and he shows that he deserves a Cup seat.

I was going through Twitter yesterday and so many people were comparing it to the '08 Indianapolis race. I'm just wondering how many of them actually watched that race and not a video about it on YouTube.

We have an answer to the will-they-won’t-they between NBC and retaining Dale Jr as a commentator-

Dale Jr has signed a deal with Amazon & WBD starting in 2025

I'm very intrigued to see how Amazon and WBD will present their NASCAR coverage. It's been a while since we have seen a completely new player in the NASCAR TV world. But Junebug is a huge get for them. Legitimizes them.

JR Motorsports announces late model veteran Bubba Pollard as the driver of the 88 at Richmond with sponsorship backing from Rheem

Nice to see these late model veterans get the call they deserve, but that Rheem logo is just way too big and in-your-face. It needs to be smaller.

    Atlanta Braves

This jersey is inspired by the 1929 Braves, which is probably where the modern-day Braves' subtle use of gold can be traced back to.

The yellow ties this whole look together, and it gives it a unique "Atlanta" feel. Yes, all of ATL's teams use red to some extent, but I feel like yellow could be a good secondary color for the city. Great job!

From what I've heard, it has to do with fan amenities - during the spring the area is marshy and would make tailgating/navigating the track tough. I would love to see Sonoma as part of the West Coast swing, personally.

I think also, the fact that this time of the year is also rain season in California as well - and we have seen NASCAR have trouble with rain races before. But I'm in agreement with you, I'd love to see Sonoma earlier in the schedule.

This scheme for John Hunter Nemechek is… certainly a choice.

JTG Daugherty Racing and Kroger have 24 hrs to respond

Looks like something I would had done on Forza 6 a few years ago.

Mobil schemes with a pegasus will always win me over, but schemes without it are pretty generic looking. Not bad but hardly memorable.

Same here. The Mayfield 12 scheme is on the shortlist of my all-time favorite schemes.

The thing about the Packers getting an alternate helmet is that it could just be making their throwback accurate. Remember the throwback was introduced in 2021 when there was no alternate helmet rule. They did wear a yellow helmet in 1950 but in 1953 they had a gold helmet.

Man the Packers sucked at having an identity Pre-Lombardi. It was all over the place.

    1953_GreenBay.png

I was looking through GUD the other day and my jaw dropped to the floor when I saw that the Packers didn't have green on their uniforms until 1935. IMO, this might be the most obscure/weird Packers uniforms:

It feels more like something the early-era Eagles would had worn.

2000 labonte vs Dale, 2005 Edward’s vs. Johnson, 2011 Gordon vs Johnson, yea some were blow outs but that really can happen at any track that isn’t a super speedway. The finish was cool, but does it make up for half the race being under caution?

When the racing was good, it was REAL GOOD. Cindric's insane four-wide pass for the lead is something I'll always remember for this race (besides the ending).

I'm split because the racing was great, but now I'm worried that NASCAR will now gimmick the hell out of the intermediate drafting tracks and transform Texas into Atlanta 2.0. The transformation into a drafting track is so gimmicky, but it seems to have somewhat worked.
