  1. Not a uniform detail per se, but I think this might be the only thread where this might be appropriate for this. Ball State used this logo, known as "Dancing Charlie," from the mid 1960s until the 1990s. Ball State has brought back this logo in recent years (first in football, and then through other sports): I was going through the wonderful St. Louis Cardinals Uniforms and Logos website a few days when I found this 1958 scorecard for the Slugging Birds: I feel like it was not uncommon back in the day for college teams to borrow logos from pro teams (heck, Ball State's helmet logo was the St. Louis/Phoenix football Cardinals logo the same time Dancing Charlie was the official athletics logo.) But the fact that I found this is very interesting.
  2. WKU just feels like a school that would feel at home at the MAC. I always assumed that they were in the MAC before I realized they were in the C-USA.
  3. The only time I can remember a pro team in general having the Bulldog nickname were the former Boston Yanks, who only had the name for the 1949 season.
  4. This would be the perfect uniform to have the Phillies' Fanatic spring training cap with:
  5. I agree. It was such a fun race to watch. Seeing how the drivers adjusted and adapted to the changing conditions was great. Also, even though I have mixed opinions on Ty Gibbs, he did a great job, and he shows that he deserves a Cup seat. I was going through Twitter yesterday and so many people were comparing it to the '08 Indianapolis race. I'm just wondering how many of them actually watched that race and not a video about it on YouTube.
  6. I love that incorporation of the Dollar Tree logo pattern into the actual scheme.
  7. I think it's a worst-case scenario. The font screams like the year 1973 and the colors are too garish and overwhelming.
  8. I'm very intrigued to see how Amazon and WBD will present their NASCAR coverage. It's been a while since we have seen a completely new player in the NASCAR TV world. But Junebug is a huge get for them. Legitimizes them.
  9. Nice to see these late model veterans get the call they deserve, but that Rheem logo is just way too big and in-your-face. It needs to be smaller.
  10. The yellow ties this whole look together, and it gives it a unique "Atlanta" feel. Yes, all of ATL's teams use red to some extent, but I feel like yellow could be a good secondary color for the city. Great job!
  11. I would give a shoutout to the preceding uniforms: Are they simple? Yes. But sometimes simple is the best solution.
  12. I think also, the fact that this time of the year is also rain season in California as well - and we have seen NASCAR have trouble with rain races before. But I'm in agreement with you, I'd love to see Sonoma earlier in the schedule.
  13. Looks like something I would had done on Forza 6 a few years ago.
  14. Is this stretching it? Probably. But personally, seeing Peyton Manning in a blue facemask seems odd, considering that his best season with the Colts and his two SB trips came with the grey facemask.
  15. Same here. The Mayfield 12 scheme is on the shortlist of my all-time favorite schemes.
  16. Byron's scheme is miles better than what he ran last year.
  17. I was looking through GUD the other day and my jaw dropped to the floor when I saw that the Packers didn't have green on their uniforms until 1935. IMO, this might be the most obscure/weird Packers uniforms: It feels more like something the early-era Eagles would had worn.
  18. When the racing was good, it was REAL GOOD. Cindric's insane four-wide pass for the lead is something I'll always remember for this race (besides the ending). I'm split because the racing was great, but now I'm worried that NASCAR will now gimmick the hell out of the intermediate drafting tracks and transform Texas into Atlanta 2.0. The transformation into a drafting track is so gimmicky, but it seems to have somewhat worked.
  19. The Jags concept gives me strong David Garrard-era vibes and I love it. Moving the crest to the pants is a great idea, and the "stripes" concept is executed very well. Great stuff!
  20. I was going to say the exact same thing. I thought the Dollar Tree car for the 500 was good as well.
  21. I'm the same way, especially after seeing the Ford. That thing looks like one mean racecar, and I think seeing on track at Daytona turned me into a fan.
  22. So basically every FBS school is disqualified then?
  23. Boomer Esiason playing for the Jets and the Cardinals feels very cursed.
  24. It sucks because the racing was wonderful stuff. I knew it was gonna be a bad ending when the Big One happened. I do feel like Fox needs to bow out of broadcasting races sometime soon. Or maybe bring in other people in the booth like Bestwick or Dallenbach. I wouldn't be opposed to CBS taking up broadcasting some races again.
