  1. I love the retro/old school revolution that has been happening in college football lately. Some of my favorite examples:
  2. https://news.sportslogos.net/2024/02/18/indiana-hoosiers-miami-hurricanes-unveil-fear-of-god-alternate-basketball-uniforms/basketball/ This makes me fear for the future of uniform design.
  3. That powder blue Cubs jersey is a thing of beauty. They really need to commit to the 80s alt logo more on their uniforms.
  4. This awful uniform match had no reason to exist.
  5. The red looks really good on that 48 car.
  6. For the Red Rocks, it came from a media guide a year they won the NCAA championship. The name has stuck for the past 30+ years.
  7. The one that immediately comes to mind for me are the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors and Rainbow Wahine, but I don't know if that fits the definition that you're looking for. I do know specifically for Utah's women's gymnastics, they are called the Red Rocks instead of the Utes.
  8. I would say NASCAR deserves to be in this conversation as well. NASCAR agreed to a new TV broadcasting deal a few months back with new deals for Amazon and The CW. Pitbull and Michael Jordan investing in teams in the sport is also a hopeful sign. They are starting to attract top-tier international drivers as well. Yes, stock car racing isn't as big as it once was and ratings are still going down, but it still has a sizable base of support. I do think this Netflix series will make progress as well.
  9. Why don't you make the jersey the mid 90's one Shaq wore instead of the modern day one? I hate when teams do this.
  10. I think we need more mashup schemes in NASCAR. There have been some truly awful ones (cough cough JTG) but I feel there is a good market for them with sponsors.
  11. Would it have not been a problem to use the CBS proprietary font for the team abbreviations and not Arial? I actually enjoy the other elements of this new scoreboard, but using one of the most basic fonts in existence really cheapens it and brings it down overall.
  12. I feel like Gritty is on the line between Chaotic Neutral and Chaotic Evil, but that's just me.
  13. Matt Hasselbeck was with the Seahawks during their last AFC year (2001) before their rebranding came the jerseys we most associate with him.
  14. Feels like the perfect mix of old-school and modern. Wonderful.
  15. Have we reached the era of BFBS in motorsports? I find it intriguing how lax the FIA has been in loosening up the livery rules in recent years. Personally, I consider myself a traditionalist and think there should be one scheme all year long (maybe a special one here and there), but especially with the Red Bull US schemes last year, it's starting to feel more and more gimmicky.
  16. I feel like these schemes really compliment the new Camry bodies well.
  17. It just looks like it is just ripping off the Amazon Prime and NBC football graphics with the circle in the middle. It looks good, but it's just repetitive. Also, re: The CW graphics: It's too simplistic. It looks like something a high schooler put together.
  18. That "outer space green" stands out worse than the 2014 Caterham, and that's saying something.
  19. Why did they not switch the sides for LIV (since it was hosted in an AFC stadium)?
  20. Me too. It ties the whole scheme together.
  21. There's been some discussion with the ongoing "blandness" of Super Bowl fields in recent years, and even know it was around for two years, I think the "banner" version of the endzones from XL and XLI are underrated. I think adding this back would add more flair to the end zone designs of Super Bowl fields and be a first step to bringing us closer to more visually appealing fields.
  22. The San Diego Rockets and the St. Louis Hawks only played together during the 1967-68 season before the Hawks relocated to Atlanta.
