  1. hawks jerseys looking pretty sweet (no pun intended) nets one is super meh. its got some cool details but i wish they were actually visible. like let those stars shine whats the point if you can't even see them. i also think it would have been neat if they added that little side pattern into the nets text and numbers since all you have is an outline
  2. gonna hold my full opinions until we can see the side views. but so far a lot of these new statement jerseys just look like changes for changes sake. -sixers, celtics, nuggets, orlando, and grizzlies being the biggest example of this. -the nets one is okay. i get they're trying to backtrack away from the graffiti theme but i would liked to see some more character. then again the sides could make all the difference. -glad the CHA jerseys are gone for charlotte but man, no pinstripes on a purple jersey is criminal. ive been waiting to see what a modern purple pinstripe jersey would look like. hopefully the side design makes up for it? -Mavs is alright, just a cleaned up version of their previous statement jersey. -the timberwolves one is well... something. i cant say if its a back track or an improvement on the eyes sore lime jerseys. but i will say that those were a pretty recognizable jersey across the league and its gonna be weird not seeing them wear those anymore. -new york's is alright. honestly i would have preferred them to stay on the path of having a blue or white statement jersey. but i guess they wanted some more variety. -phoenix's is nice i guess. similar to the timberwolves i dont know if many people liked the statement jerseys but at least they were quite recognizable across the league (i think they were the only team to have a core orange jersey?) now these new jerseys kinda just blend in with the rest of the league. which could be a good or bad thing depending on your perspective.
  3. i think the jerseys had some potential. a black jersey isnt the end of the world i guess. like i said earlier, i just wish they used the core design. its a statement jersey after all theres no need to try so hard to make it look "cool" or different. what they did just looks too gimmicky and would get old within a season. to me an ideal black pistons jersey would look more like something like this (excuse the rushed editing): credit to conradburry and caseyvitelli for the original concept of course
  4. lol take it from the 18 year old here, those jerseys are just not it. wouldn't hate it if they made it their city jerseys. but for statement jerseys? its a no from me, even a younger fan like me would prefer some consistency
  5. im starting to dislike this push for statement jerseys to not even look like core jerseys anymore. statement jerseys should have at least some resemblance of the icon and association. leave the outlandish designs for the city editions. also, these remind me way too much of the old sixers' city edition jerseys from a while back. i dont feel like im looking at anything else. the spacing also just looks so off to me. and i feel like the text should be one with the stripe design especially if the stripe design in question is literally just two blocks of red and blue. kinda like what the pelicans did for their striped jerseys. p.s they couldnt have at least used their regular font?
  6. that is both sad and hilarious. the marketing/design team got their own team mixed up. so now they’re essentially wearing a full uniform that has never existed lol.
  7. i’m actually not a big fan of these. i really liked their statement jerseys as is. i’d rather the MEM pattern be subtle. like how it was originally just on the collar and waist.
  8. since we’re on the topic of throwbacks and anniversaries. i find it pretty funny and sad that the pelicans have completely forgotten about their own anniversary of 20 years. no anniversary for the team has ever been acknowledged before (the 10 year anniversary was overshadowed by tom benson’s purchase of the team, plus they were still called the hornets which still didn’t resonate with the city very well) not even a little 20 year logo anywhere? ouch.
  9. not feeling the warriors new threads. no personality. i see no reason why they should have a navy statement jersey. and if they’re gonna make a navy jersey at least add some personality to it. surely there’s a much better font from the past that they could have used. or surely they could have just continued the front circle emblem design that all their jerseys usually have. and no bridge design either? yikes really took the golden state out of the golden state warriors
  10. new statement edition court concept for the bucks. incorporated the horns element with the wood stain and made the bucks logo black to match.
  11. looks like a city jersey. i don’t know how to feel about these being under the statement category. i feel like they’ll get old pretty quick unless they wear these sparsely. also for some reason i find the solid v neck collar kinda weird on these. maybe go for a grizzlies type route and put the pattern in here too?
  12. my idea was that if the cavaliers had to go for an overly clean look then maybe they could at least add a little subtle shading based off their 90s jerseys. (also do not be fooled by the visible trimming on these generated jerseys, they’re practically invisible irl)
  13. ouch i guess i wasn’t wrong. i just don’t get it. what’s the thought process behind it? why have jerseys with absolutely no character to them? i just don’t get it. the new wordmarking is pretty cool but why just leave it at that? couldn’t have added at least a line going down on the side or something?
  14. judging from that picture it seems like there’s no more contrasting arm holes, collar, or waist band. hard to see if there’s any side design but i see a little something on the left side of allen’s shorts (i think it’s just the C logo) i hope i’m wrong but they kinda look like they’re going the Utah route.
  15. i would have rather them just not include any side design. it makes it so painfully obvious that all they did was just recolor the old unis in the worst way possible.
  16. it like how the guy talks about this new jazz logo but proceeds to wear a shirt with the old one
  17. with the jazz pretty much having no choice but to accept their purple alternate jerseys as part of their main brand, this is gonna be their color palette for the next three seasons at least
  18. it’s pretty ridiculous how they didn’t even bother to add any new elements to the jerseys. couldn’t throw a mountain on the shorts or something? some stripes on the side? not even one line going down the side to show that they at least attempted a new design and not just change the font and colors of their last set??
  19. there’s no good takeaway from this announcement other then the newly designed city edition (which literally could have just worked as a main set design) both those throwback jerseys have already been worn in the last 2-3 years. the new main set is obviously gross. courts are okay. and the way they’re marketing this is just an overall mess. the biggest takeaway might be the fact that the black jerseys aren’t even the icon jersey. so in theory we’ll be seeing them wear that neon yellow more than black. doesn’t even make any sense since they market themselves as a black and yellow team and not a yellow and black team. what a mess…
  20. lol so basically the jazz are hinting/revealing their city edition unis in attempt to distract fans from the horrible main black and yellow jerseys.
  21. gonna leave this here to see if this leak page ends up being right.
  22. fun fact: every year since 2016 the cavaliers come out with at least one new court design. often times two because they also change their main court design very often. no court design has lasted longer than 2 seasons https://www.cavshistory.com/courts/
  23. here’s a cavaliers court for their new rebrand. wanted to tie in a celebration of the franchise kind of theme used their new wordmarks on the sides, new C logo in the three point arcs, and their new shield logo at center court to which i added two extra outlines as a little reference to the trimming of their old unis. another uniform reference is the asymmetrical design on the border. and at the very bottom i referenced the 7 game series that the cavs played for their championship. gold representing the cavs of course.
  24. lol i’m over here just salty cause my pelicans are no longer the only team to wear metallic gold now
  25. pelicans finally getting some changes to their uni set??
