  1. I do like some of Brandiose's work fwiw, but agreed. There are so many talented designers working for pennies on the dollar compared to more established design firms. I watched a long Brandiose video about their process - for the alternate temporary gimmicky brands Brandiose are involved in the naming process. They research all the niche local themes, and come up with multiple options for multiple names. So they aren't just designing one logo. However, they almost exclusively work on MILB branding, so they would have to be earning 2 full time incomes for it to be worth their time.
  2. The new Copa logos were released the other day; seems like most of them were not done by Brandiose. Brandiose have mentioned they charge a good enough price that they can spend a lot of time researching and experimenting - makes me wonder if MILB are moving to cheaper alternatives?
  3. I prefer the full body rat holding the pizza slice than the main logo. Sadly it looks like they didn't produce any merch with this logo. The front face rat looks ambiguous, could easily be a kangaroo.
  4. I'm not 100% sure because I'm on my tablet right now but those pinstripes look awfl thick. Again, I don't know for sure. I'll add one other thing; these were basically like the equivilant of Swingmans today - they were at a lower price point, and none of them had the players name on the back - jerseys with players names on the back were twice as expensive. I was so young during this period; I can't really remember much - but I believe these were available at retail stores. But from a few google searches, I'm having trouble finding much info about Starter and NBA jerseys. It's possible that a wave of fake Starter NBA jerseys hit Australia but I was too young and naive to be aware of this at the time.
  5. Hi Guys; I was hoping somebody could help me out with an early 90s NBA jersey... Back in the early to mid 90;s, Starter NBA jerseys were a huge trend in Australia (and the satin jackets, to a lesser extent). Was Starter a legitimate manufacturer of the lower end NBA jerseys? I know that Champion were making the screen printed jerseys in the mid-90s. Here is an image of something I'm watching on ebay, does it look legit? Cheers
  6. I've bought a few fakies from this seller. I bought this Alonzo Mourning (because a real hardwood Zo jersey doesn't exist) - http://www.ebay.com/itm/Miami-Heat-Alonzo-Mourning-1996-Classic-Away-Red-Jersey-/280795934384?pt=US_Basketball_Fan_Shop&hash=item4160bdeeb0 It looks exactly as pictured. Fake; but absolutely matches detail for detail; what real hardwood classics have. The only difference being; the jerseys aren't as long, and slightly less wide. This is good for me, because I'm short and I hate baggy jerseys. I also bought the Drexler; because at the time I only had a paypal & NBA only took payments via credit card: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Portland-Trail-Blazer-Clyde-Drexler-Classic-Away-Black-Jersey-/280800299267?pt=US_Basketball_Fan_Shop&hash=item4161008903 Again; this was exactly the same as a real one (I later compared when I found one in store), except the sizing was a couple mm's off. I bought the Reggie Miller, because again, no real Miller jerseys exist: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Indiana-Pacers-Reggie-Miller-Classic-Navy-2-Jersey-/270887286484?pt=US_Basketball_Fan_Shop&hash=item3f1223f6d4 Exactly as pictured. This fake has one particular difference; the tag at the bottom doesn't say "Reggie Miller 31 1997-98" as it should. I actually ended up buying a fake Griffin LA jersey that I asked about in this thread - one this particular occasion it wasn't as pictured - the blue was missing from the font, but everything else the same - I ended up getting a full refund and keeping the jersey for sleepware. I bought a fake Lebron Heat; the only singular difference was the material used on side trim. So; to answer your question; It will most likely be exactly as pictured, but you'll have to compare all the materials/colors of the real to the fake. I've bought a few fakes in my time; but now that money isn't as tight as it used to be, I only get legit stuff (UNLESS, it's retro jerseys that I cannot get real). I've also replaced a fake with a real (Tracy McGrady Raptors jersey - there were MANY differences between the fake and the real, because it's a complex jersey). If anyone has any more questions about fake swingman jerseys from Hong Kong, go ahead - I think I know quite a bit. thank you so much! this really helps, I need to compare the pictures between a real and a fake for those ricky rubio jerseys from that seller, because it looks spot on no worries mate; the pirates never attempted Minnesota's previous jersey because the trim was too complex. I've got to admit; the counterfeit jersey market makes very accurate NBA jerseys most of the time; much more accurate than the fake MLBs, NHL & NFL.

  8. Yeah, but at least this guy has the decency to state that they're bootleg jerseys: "Jerseys are replicas and not authentic licensed NBA merchandise." As if it wasn't obvious enough... I like how the description states they've never been worn...You mean to tell me the original owner left these badboys in the closet without ever wearing them?
  9. thinking about an Australian Counterfit? Check out this attempt at the 90s Raptors jerseys - http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NBA-jerseys-Lakers-76ers-Toronto-Raptors-ONeal-Iverson-Bogues-/230679595709?pt=AU_Basketball_Sporting_Equipment&hash=item35b5934abd
  10. Why don't we compare? (Second graphic courtesy the NBA Store) Sorry I couldn't find a Griffin. Collar is off, and there's too much of a red stroke on the Los Angeles script. The LAC is also too low. (It's supposed to be at the tip of the collar) Yeah, i checked the nba website but i was under the impression the official nba website images aren't completely accurate (ironic ey). Just came to that conclusion when comparing a few older, pre revolution jerseys to how they look in real life. Also, the images on the nba website are very touched up to remain consistent with all the other jersey variants that have to coincide on the same webpage. Also, on the nba website you can't distinctly tell the difference between authentics and swingmans just from the image. I noticed the collar was different and assumed it was one of those minor distinguishes that swingman jerseys have compared to the authentics. Haha @ Rebel Sport, in their defense, I saw them charging *only" $70 for Lebron Cleveland jerseys. They're getting new Lebrons back in stock end of January. I asked about Blake Griffin but all the staff looked at me blankly. I told them he plays for the other team that plays in Los Angeles. Concluded Griffin jerseys weren't in stock when the new rev 30 swingmans arrived in Australia as they had never heard of Blake Griffin. was this there response: there's another team in los angeles? Haha, essentially yes. There was a confused silence, so i chimed in the word "Clippers". The couldn't identify ever having any Clippers jerseys.

  12. Can anybody pick out any distinct differences between these Blake Griffin Jerseys and the official NBA swingmans? I'm going to wait (albeit a long wait) for the official swingmans to reach Australia (we only got Lebrons over here a month ago so Griffs will probably be here mid year) but I was just curious what were the differences between the above because I've never seen the jerseys in real life.
