  1. I don't see why it can't be. Sure it breaks tradition, but if it works in college, even for schools with classic aesthetics like OU and Texas, I don't have a problem with NFL teams trying it out. Had the Cardinals used the full-sized wordmark and stripes on all three jerseys, they'd feel exactly like a college team, but I wouldn't mind at all. It's the inconsistencies with this set that bugs me the most, no particular aesthetic choices are actually bad in my book. Even then, a plain home jersey has historical precedence for the Cardinals, so - again - while it's not my favorite idea, I don't mind it all that much. That just about sums up how I feel about the set as a whole. Assuming they avoid monochrome, which they probably will somewhat often, this is at worst a B- set for me. Only the monochrome is truly unforgivable. Everything else is plain and uninspired, but inoffensive. I'll take that over over-designed garbage any day.
  2. Well... They're better than the previous set. Not great, not especially bad. The lack of stripes and giant wordmark on the home jersey bothers me a lot, but it's still by default one of Nike's better redesigns on account of how there's simply not much to talk about. I'm disappointed it wasn't something so extravagant, even if it was horrible, because at least I'd feel something about them. I'd be perfectly fine with them if the home matched the alt and away, but as they are, I can't say I like them, even if they aren't especially bad. I'd give them a C+ grade. Definitely an upgrade, but aggressively mediocre. Just about anyone here on the boards can and has done better, but what they're going with isn't actively bad, save for that goofy wordmark. And yet, after all the chicanery I've seen on this board in the last day, I can't help but feel robbed nonetheless.
  3. Not bad at all, but underwhelming after all this hype and tomfoolery
  4. It's stupid as all hell, but they've been using BIRD GANG for years
  5. Hi, I'm Saul Goodman. Did you know that you have rights? The Constitution says you do. And so do I!
  6. even after all the wild memes and references I've seen in this thread in the last day i still never expected to see a "Amelia Earhart was eaten alive by coconut crabs" joke god bless this thread
  7. up until about a month ago there wasn't any news for this year aside from alternate helmets, so that was most of us
  8. if i don't see at least two full pages of nothing but "AWGMRKHIEKARBGUKAJBGAFHJBDSKUG", gifs, and memes, without a single coherent comment, I'll be disappointed in this community
  9. it's gonna devolve into unintelligible caveman grunts and screaming
  10. at this point I wouldn't even be that shocked if the box actually had Gwyneth Paltrow's severed head in it
  11. This would be the absolute best case scenario for the rumored color scheme, but the problem is that it makes absolutely zero sense for the Cardinals. I like the idea of trying something completely different in order to try and revive a historically bad franchise with little current direction, but I'm not fond of them overhauling a color scheme they've stuck with for 80 years. I fully expect this rebrand to be among Nike's absolute worst. Even memorably bad is better than completely forgettable, depending on how you look at it.
  12. Love this idea! Works surprisingly well. I could see the Columbus Blue Jackets using this inspiration also.
  13. I've always admired the New Orleans-Utah-Miami-Phoenix-Minnesota-Los Angeles name shuffle, plus the Sacramento-Memphis name swap, solely because it's so bonkers whilst making every name region-specific. It's just as perfect as it is ludicrous.
  14. I mean, let's not kid ourselves. Are we absolutely sure the Cardinals' new shade of gold isn't "close to periwinkle"?
  15. Imagine if the Packers did a uniform/brand overhaul and renamed their colors to Muenster and White Cheddar
  16. As much as I love both of those looks, I disagree that the primary home combo should be Black over Purple. In a division with two rival teams wearing black primary sets, the Ravens need to stick with purple, especially since it's such a unique color for the AFC. Black over purple is easily their best combo, but it needs to stay as an alternate for the sake of their brand.
  17. First-round pick, 2-time Pro Bowler, all-around great player. Protected Russel Wilson's blindside during the Legion of Boom's golden years and paved the way for Marshawn Lynch on some of his most iconic runs. He wasn't exactly the flashy type, nor was he an all-time talent, but he was a great player. Still, surprised that some NFL fans had never heard the name before. I immediately recognized the name, and it's super cool to see his transformation.
  18. This uniform kicked ass. Fits perfectly with the Nets' other uniforms whilst still alluding to graffiti. Plus it's a solid nod to the ABA Nets uniforms and the herringbone pattern in the stripe works really well. I'd be down for Brooklyn to use this as a third jersey in the regular rotation, and never use any other alternate ever again, save for maybe a throwback.
  19. My best friend's sister is a chef at a restaurant in North Carolina (pretty sure it's in the Charlotte area but idk for sure) and she's had Cam Newton visit. According to her, he was nothing but impatient and belligerent toward the wait staff, didn't leave a tip, and was all-around the worst customer she had ever dealt with. I don't know exactly how true that story is, but compared with the other antics he's displayed that BBTV mentioned above, I would not be surprised in the slightest if it was completely true. On the field, I have no problem with cockiness, but if that manifests itself as narcissism off the field, then he's a jerk.
  20. I can understand the point of having a unique mark for premier college schools, but slapping the Jordan logo on a jersey makes no sense to me at all. Why the world's premier football league would wear uniforms marked by someone who played an entirely different sport is beyond me. It doesn't make much sense in college football, and it makes even less sense with the NFL.
  21. I absolutely adore this concept. Your retro style is incredibly charming on its own, but this logo package is absolutely stellar and the colors work super well with each other. Amazing job across the board, easily one of my favorite MLB expansion concepts I've ever seen. Really hope to see more concepts from you soon, I can't get enough of your work.
  22. If your pee is that color then you should probably go see a doctor
