  1. That's the thing though, on top of all the other issues, they also just don't look like the Cardinals. Slapping ARIZONA on the chest for people 30 miles away to see doesn't make you look like Arizona's team.
  2. i think this is what they were going for with the no-stripes-on-home thing, but adding the "ARIZONA" completely negates that.
  3. Also, what happeded to "This sock reveal is gonna be (fire emoji)"?
  4. All of this time, just for these? All of this hype, just for these? All of this, just for rejected Ohio State and Oklahoma projects out of Bidwell's breifcase?
  5. Posting the discord link in case of crashing: https://discord.gg/UXvmccjw
  6. Now that the Cards are changing, i would think the race for worst NFL uniforms goes something like this: Commanders. Yeah, sure, the Titans, Falcons, Rams, and Broncos have a case, but all those designs at leat have consitence. Washington looks like all three uniforms were designed by different people, and only 1/3 looks decent. then we get to all the issues like the no-stripe pants, odd designs inside the numbers, BFBS, and so on. It should be unanimous that this is the worst. Titans. What we got from the Titans is a massive dissapointment, given what we could have had with the color scheme. Most of this thread has already beat the Snatit to death, so I won't go in depth here. Broncos. Just let it go already. You have the color rush, just make an all-white version and mix-and-match the two (with navy socks, of course). Stop holding on to the side panels. Everyone else has dumped them. Rams. I think we all know why they're on this list. Falcons/Eagles. Hear me out. I think the Falcons get way to much hate for their set, and I think Philly doesn't get enough hate for their set. Philadelphia looks extremely dated, and the shade of green isn't really the biggets problem I see. the number font has worn out it's welcome, and I think green/silver/black is a great combo, but they've made all three so dark and drab to the point where you can hardly tell when charcoal is being used. And don't ask me what's going on with thier pants stripe. I think Philly nailed the original versions of the Midnight Green, (1997-2002) then proceeded to tinker with it a little too much.
  7. I read Joe Dumars' explanation, and he said a player without Draymond's history would probably still have gotten the suspension, but his history took precedence over the other reasons.
  8. The longest stretch in NBA history without a team winning 2+ championships in 5 years was from 1976-80: Boston, Portland, Washington, Seattle, LA. We have a chance to do it again this year, given that the last four were Toronto, LA, Milwaukee, and GS.
  9. The jerseys likely hit retail store on or after the 20th, and the team is having a PR event on that date, so I think the Cards are trying to hype that up more than the digital release (Sounds stupid, but that's all I can think of).
  10. IDK, but I hope they do, because Alexander's jersey here looks like it would explode if they put an anniversary patch on it.
  11. Why not do a Pittsburgh-type thing and have 1/3 of NY's teams wear the same color scheme?
  12. I meant uniform-wise, but i guess technically they are being used. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ As for the Broncos, our only hope is that they do an all-white inverse of the Color Rush set, that way they can mix and match white pants and jerseys with the orange. But that would rely on Denver being competent, whichi is a big ask from a team that wore this:
  13. Anyone remember the Rams unused tertiary colors? Maybe the Cardinals orange may look closer to that, skewing the line between orange & gold.
  14. Here's a quote from Higgins himself: (https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/32220176/cincinnati-bengals-receiver-tee-higgins-change-number-away-85-formerly-worn-chad-johnson)
  15. I've never seen someone use 9/11 as a time benchmark unless their referring to airport security.
  16. Society operates in cycles. These last 15 years or so have been similar to the 50s/60s/70s, where the younger generation wants change and individuality and the older generation is all up in arms about it. 30 years from now the numbering system may change, because society will change too.
  17. Silver does not appear in the Cowboys' logo, yet (albeit different shades) it's one of their colors. Black does not appear in the Jets' logo, yet is is (unfortunately) one of thier colors. There is very little green in the Seahawks logo, and very little yellow in the Steelers logo, yet if you ask anyone, Seattle is navy and green and Pittsburgh is yellow and black. Furthermore, the Chiefs have been using yellow since 1960, and the only time the Cardinals used yellow was on the state flag, which was 1989.
  18. I think that's part of what's being lost here. The Cardinals made the playoffs 6 times before moving to Phoenix. That's 65 seasons!! From 1922 to 1987, the Cardinals made the playoff under 10% of the time. Since the move to Phoenix they've made the playoff the same amount of times. 6 times in 35 seasons. For reference, the Panthers have made 8 apperances in 29 seasons. Since 1935, the CHI/STL/PHX/ARI Cardinals have the most losses, and only the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have a worse winning percentage. They aren't proud of thier history because there isn't that much to be proud of, outside some pre-SB championships.
  19. I really hope that the Cardinals don't go the Jets route, because they already look like Falcons lite, so putting more emphasis on black is going to be terrible for brand distinguishability. I'm happy and sad to see the Panthers go. I like the fact that they held on to the same uniform for three decades, but (paradoxically) I feel that they've held on for too long.
  20. The problem is that the number should have been retired for Allen before Giannis even got a chance to wear it. Now it's a catch-22: If they do retire it, it 'looks" like the right thing to do, but the #34 streak will end* and Allen's time with the franchise will be more forgotten than it is now. If they don't retire it, it "looks" as if the franchise is doing Giannis dirty. *also, since everyone who wears #34 gets progressively better, the next guy in Milwaukee to wear it will likley become the unquestioned GOAT.
