  1. Agreed on no major changes. Might be a stretch to call the Panthers look classic, but at a high level, the various elements are fairly timeless. Updating our shoulder/pant/maybe helmet striping to be consistent with LSU's style (similar to Colts examples posted earlier) feels like a good compromise between updating & improving, while maintaining a very similar feel to our current design (which is essentially the only design we've had, ignoring small tweaks).
  2. Now I'm wishing a name like Judges or Justices would have been in consideration. For no reason other than I'd love to see a concept for that nickname.
  3. Speaking of Ball State, really liked their look. Best uniform for a football team nicknamed the Cardinals? The only change I'd make is to have the pant striping consistent with the shoulder striping.
  4. At least Akron made a good effort with their set, helps balance out Kent State:
  5. I generally like the simplicity of Washington State's uniforms, but for the players who tripled down on all crimson with the knee length socks / tights, it's not a great look IMO. Strange Santa's elves vibes.
  6. Ah, it makes sense then. After my initial surprise wore off, I actually really like the look.
  7. Turns out, the Block S is only on the right side, the left side is logo-less / blank. Not sure why.
  8. I like the template, but I agree, on the garnets unis, the black stripe isn't contrasting enough to have it be the primary / thicker one. I assume they're going for consistency with the helmet where the white are the secondary / outside stripes, but I think it'd look better (and more consistent with the numbers / lettering), if we had the white inside with black outside striping. I do think it's exacerbated by having black helmets and garnet pants: a splash of white would have likely done a lot to balance out the look. In its current iteration, it has a mid-2000s aesthetic to me, and not in a good way:
  9. There's probably a self-promotional element for the outfitters. While the average CFB fan isn't going to be nearly as vested in uni design as those on this forum, generating any amount of hype for a small school like Temple's unis is bonus marketing, both towards average fans and more importantly to other athletic departments who have upcoming contracts.
  10. Looks like the striping is also applied to the collar. Really clean look, this is a timeless set for us. If we could only remove that faux mesh pattern from the black jersey numbers.
  11. Both Arkansas and A&M just looked "right" yesterday. Very basic designs for each, but that's what works for their uniforms:
  12. Overall, I really like them, but I don't see why we continue to keep the the fauxback mesh look for the numbers. Sticks out like a sore thumb, and we were these often enough now that we can't honestly call them special "throw back" jerseys - they're just our black jerseys. Closer look at number fabric from last year:
  13. New / tweaked home and away uniforms for South Carolina? Did I miss an announcement? https://twitter.com/GamecockSplash/status/1302397668770144259 The numbers are apparently larger, but on the away jersey, the shoulder stripes match our throwback black alternate. Not sure if our home jersey has the same new striping, although I'm generally a fan of applying this throwback template to all of our uniforms, only removing the "jersey" numbers: I both love and am terrified by these uniforms. They're the uniform I think of when I think Arkansas football, and by that, I mean the uniform I think of when I remember McFadden and Felix Jones running setting SEC single game rushing records against us.
