  1. I'm not that one that brought the Patriots in the first place. I didn't even mention them until someone else brought them up. If you want to be the next NFL "dynasty" get used to people calling out your teams arrogance.
  2. I have no clue what you're implying, but Maybe don't bring up Boston sports in the first place if you can't stand people talking about it. Just a thought.
  3. Which is funny because I didn't even bring it up in the first place. Don't bring it up, then complain about it. No one likes double standards.
  4. I thought people were sick of hearing about Boston sports? Yet they constantly bring up Boston sports.
  5. Looks great, nice that the NFL seems to have finally found a decent balance between the standardized look while also being something unique. Though is it just me, or do the colors look a bit muted? It looks a lot "softer" compared to the past 2 they used in this format. Maybe it's just the lighting in the pictures.
  6. Exactly. If they were calling it all game, that'd be one thing, but when that's the only time they call it, it becomes a problem. How refs call games does impact how the players play. Bradberry held because the refs weren't calling it all game, so he thought they wouldn't there. If they were more consistent, and were calling that earlier then players like him are more conscientious of making those penalties. If people want "consistency" from the refs, then in a game like that, it would be not calling it. Of course the problem is they aren't consistent in making those calls.
  7. So are we just not going to talk about the NFL spending nearly a million dollars just for the Super Bowl to have slip & slide grass? They're are so damn lucky no player was hurt.
  8. Ok, this just a ludicrous take with no basis in reality. Take it from someone that lived through it, Patriots didn't even make the playoffs in 02, so a lot of people thought the Patriots were just a "flash in the pan" cinderella team. Peyton & his back to back MVPs were still the big talk of the NFL until the Patriots cemented their dynasty in 04. That's when Brady became the big name. And then the Brady - Peyton rivalry became a thing. Before then, most people thought the patriots defense & Viniatrai deserved more credit than Brady. Amazing how Mahomes being the next guy makes people completely rewrite history.
  9. I'm not denying he's an amazing QB, the rose tinted glasses are people saying the this Chiefs run of the past few years has been more incredible than Brady, or anyone else. Obviously I can see the bias there. Since they'd be saying that about anyone. Chiefs have had maybe 3 or 4 memorable games. (Including this game) But saying those are all better than games we've seen from guys like Peyton, Brady & Rodgers, is absolutely goddamn ludicrous. People have jumped on Mahomes faster than I've seen them jump on any player. Right down to the part where it's already taboo to say even a single bad thing about him.
  10. I never said they shouldn't have called it. I said it sucks they called it (after missing & not calling them all game) because it gave us such a disappointing ending. The nonsense is people saying that's a better ending then what it looked like we were going to get.
  11. Which is my entire point. So I have no clue why people were arguing me about that. It sucks we got the ending we did, especially because it was a call they hadn't made all game. Right call or not (which in this case it was) still not the way anyone (other than Chiefs fans) wanted the game to end.
  12. First that comes to mind is a holding call on Juju even he was up in arms about, around the 2nd quarter. Why do you think Bradberry was holding him? Because as he said, he was hoping the refs would let him get away with it, because they hadn't called it all game. Yeah it was a good call, but it gave us such a lousy ending which is the part that sucks. Are you not allowed to be disappointed that a call (even a right one) took away what was looking to be an amazing ending to a great game?
  13. But the Ref was the one that threw the flag, after not throwing a flag for any other clear holding calls in the game. Except there is no such thing as a fairly called game. Every game has bad or missed calls. Except it wasn't consistent with how the refs had been calling holds during the game. Which is not at all. It was the right call sure, but it sucks that the only one they called is the one the gave us such a lame duck of an ending. Good game. Ending sucked. Don't know why people are trying to argue that.
  14. If you don't think that was a terrible, anticlimactic ending to the game, IDK what else to say. It just sucks when games are decided by penalties rather than the players. It was the right call, but that doesn't change the fact that it's a disappointing way to end the game. Regardless of the teams playing. Like the Bucs - Falcons game this season. when a Roughing the passer is what decided the game. I recall people being pretty pissed about that, and not just Falcons fans. Of course there are dozens of other examples.
  15. The game would be far more different , and a hell of a lot more boring if they made every call 100% of the time. It sucks when refs are the ones to decide the outcome of games like that.
  16. Who is supporting rigging? I'm supporting letting players play, so we can have an exciting game. Was it the Right call? Yes. Does it suck that a game like this had such a lousy ending? Yes. I don't get why both of these are such controversial statements.
  17. So you want the NFL to be more boring than it already is? Gotcha. Besides, If they were being "consistent", they probably would have let that hold go. like they had done earlier. Which is why Bradberry thought he could get away with it. Or is that not the "consistency" you want?
  18. First off, since when has the league suddenly have integrity? Got it. So you want incredibly boring, slow games where penalties are called every single time. Reminds me of the people that want robot umps in the MLB.
  19. Was it the right call? Sure, doesn't change the fact that they've let those kinds of holds go before. The fact that after a game like that, it's a such a soft penalty the decided the game is what sucks. If it was a more blentent holding call, then that would at least be more fair. Even Fox was questioning it. Point is, Is that how you wanted it to end? Or did you want to see Hurts make 1 final drive with about a minute left to tie or win the game? Such a good game like that had a wet fart of an ending. Nevermind who won. to end it like that is just so disappointing.
  20. Brady didn't really become the NFL's "darling" until at least that 3rd Super Bowl win that cemented them as a dynasty. People are so quick to forget they actually missed the playoffs on 2002. Peyton was still a bigger name than Brady at the time. Winning MVP in 03 & 04. Mahomes almost instantly became the NFL's new golden boy in his 1st starting season. It's ridiculous. If it was more obvious, I could see siding with the refs. But the fact that call basically decided the game is what sucks. Refs just need to let them play in those cases. KC probably still scores regardless, but at least Philly gets to respond. At least then there aren't any excuses.
  21. I'm not the one that brought up Boston. But sure, ignore that.
  22. Way to ignore the point. They did the same :censored: with the Raiders. But apparently their arrogance gets a free pass.
  23. Like I said, the rose tinted glasses for Mahomes is insane. Have you forgotten about the Tyree catch? The Butler Pick? 28-3? Philly Special? Yeah, so bland & boring.
  24. And people are already salivating over Mahomes, when that didn't really happen with Brady until at least his 3rd Super bowl The tinted glasses people have for Mahomes is ridiculous. :censored: like this is why the Chiefs have become so unlikable an arrogant.
