  1. [insert obligatory 'so is anyone confirmed to be changing for this year?' post]
  2. It depicts people who, in general, have said that they don't want to be logos. Yes, offensive on that basis.
  3. What the hell does AFL games and select matchups from this season mean?? [Department of Redundancy Department]
  4. Silver - probably in their secondary logos. Brownie the elf and the kicking colt on the goalpost. Kensil? IDK Navy Blue? Yep, it was no longer in use at least in 1959 when Lombardi was hired, who famously declared 'we're the Green Bay Packers' (I can't write that with the emphasis on green like he said it, because too many announcers routinely say it with an emphasis on Green, and there's no emphasis on either word). The team was just slow in removing it from its official team color list.
  5. I'm glad you could take it in the correct manner
  6. Thanks for finding this - it's something like this that I was going to try to look for to see what it said. I'm not surprised. I think it's more a function of the apparel vendor used than the actual color. I see the Packers still included Navy Blue as their first team color in 1964
  7. Don't worry, your assistant GM and starting QB will bring in Aaron Jones (good move) and David Bakhtiari (potentially not good move). I couldn't resist after seeing this on X earlier today.
  8. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/bears-now-say-theyll-build-a-stadium-in-the-city-of-chicago-not-the-suburbs Back to within the city, with the team saying they'll spring for $2B
  9. I think you're missing a couple of zeroes. Nice touch for these boards
  10. The change from maroon to burgundy that happened under Lombardi was an actual change, not an artifact of lighting. I think you know that, though. I totally agree that leagues have gotten more consistent (or vigilant, not sure which is more correct) regarding color presentation.
  11. Thumbs up for your assessment, not for the color used or the color matching
  12. That 'new' logo above looks like the 2016 introduction of the 3-D printed logo I mentioned above. https://www.businessinsider.com/dodgers-new-batting-helmet-2016-4 ETA: https://uni-watch.com/2024/03/04/la-dodgers-make-changes-to-batting-helmet-logo/ Aha - here's a better explanation. It was re-designed to match the cap logo, and it is an embroidered logo rather than one of flexible material.
  13. I *think* it's more of a stitched style logo rather than a puffy sticker. More like cloth and less like foam. PS - You clearly weren't the only one who wasn't sure on the difference.
  14. Lakeshore Chinooks (Northwoods League - summer wood bat baseball) do exactly what you're trying to accomplish. https://northwoodsleague.com/lakeshore-chinooks/
  15. Fine. Bad weather exists. How about I put it this way -- if this were such a dire situation, why did so relatively few people develop frostbite? I'll guess it was because they didn't handle the weather properly.
  16. There's no such thing as bad weather, only inappropriate clothing. As @ManillaToad pointed out, there's some interesting use of headlines and numbers that don't mesh with what the article and past story indicate.
  17. I can't disagree more with your current self. And that's what makes these boards great - different opinions.
  18. Who had Mitch Trubisky as the first free agent QB to sign this offseason?
  19. Why? The both the yellow and white pants look great with the white jersey. I get that the Houston Oilers looked good like this, but it hasn't been the Chargers aesthetic.
