I like the blue pants. The blue pants are honestly not the problem.

Bills need to bring back red socks full time. Home and road. Home: Blue jersey, white pants, red socks. Away White jersey, blue pants, red socks.

I always thought the Bill's early 80's red socks were a great little quirk. One of those things that logically shouldn't work but somehow does. It be in favor of bringing it back. (Of course, I'm in favor of pretty much anything that creates contrast between the pants and socks.)

Too bad they ruin it by wearing Blue socks.  If there ever was a time to wear White socks, this is it.

Quite frankly, they should always wear Gold pants with the White jerseys.

Yeah, to echo what you said about the Patriots only needing to wear gray pants, the Rams just need the one pair of yellow-gold pants, home and road.

(I'd personally burn every pair of pants the Seahawks wear other than their gray, too.)

I read how the players feel more comfortable when wearing white socks or pants. The convenience factor.

    That makes no sense.

The only way it makes sense is if you think about how the players seem to want to pull their pants up over their knees like bike shorts.  When the socks are a contrasting color it’s so easy to spot, and I think it’s still technically against the uniform policy.  When the pants and socks are one long blob of identical color you can’t really tell where the pants end and the socks start.  I’m sure that’s at least partially what is appealing to the players.

  4. The new clock rules in college football this year seriously suck.

I’m watching relatively low power offenses burn up half a quarter by muddling around and not even scoring. Just trying to not get blown out without even attempting to win.

    Who asked for this?

Interesting choices for the bone jersey.

They wore bone over bone the first two years of the current set in Arizona and added blue pants last year.

I'm hoping to see the mono bone with blue socks against red over white for Arizona.

But I suspect we'll get something like this.

I thought the dirty dishwater uniform had gone away.

    Still hideous.

  6. I'm not sure I need to see a horned helmet for Houston, especially as the primary.  It just doesn't work for me... they're the Houston Texans, not the Houston Bulls. The logo works because it's a Texas state flag in the shape of a bulls head... it's pretty clever. Without the flag, the connection isn't as strong.

And the "mean and tough" uniform the dopey players are coming up with is going to straight up, 100% blow.  Zero doubt.

Is there a reason to deride the nickname? Does anyone get all upset about Jimbo being a nickname to put it in sarcasm quotes?

Well, in this particular case I was attempting to deride the way Gus Johnson says it.  Which is why I put it in  quotation marks.

I’m pretty sure sarcasm quotes are something you do with your hands.

Keep the Coach Prime slander going. You're batting 1.000 so far.

Deion Sanders claims some Colorado players 'didn't love football' following overhaul

I admit I was wrong about them losing to TCU (but in my defense, it was more of a hope than it was a prediction... I'm terrible at predictions).

However, this photo proves I'm spot on about the hat.

    This aged poorly.

The only silver lining of Pac-12 dissolving after 100+ years is all the upsets and spoiler wins and finally getting their games seen by the east coast writers before they go to bed.  If only some of them had joined the SEC instead. In my opinion.

Yup, that did not turn out at all as I’d hoped.  Now we have to listen to that tipsy Gus Johnson  keep rambling about “Coach Prime”.

Still,  he does look stupid in that hat.  It’s basically analogous to LSU’s coach suddenly getting a bayou accent.

The current logo slicks are not publicly available. Access to them is restricted.

Every few years I used to stumble across them on some random website.  I’d bookmark it but when I’d go back they were always gone. Eventually it occurred to me that they were being posted by someone who shouldn’t be sharing them so I’d download them whenever I ran across them.  It’s been probably 6 or 7 years at this point and I no longer have those old files.

Too bad … there were always fun to look over.

It shouldn't be a surprise a college team beats the Texans to it, the no fun league has so many obstacles to get through uniform-wise. (Right?)

In the past couple of years the NFL hasn’t had nearly enough obstacles in the way of crappy uniform decisions if you ask me.

I think single-color works because of the horn on the helmet, plus the contrast with the sleeves makes the sleeves look fancier.

Sure, I could see that argument, but I think this thread is for what team will be wearing, not what they should be wearing.

And the throwback the Vikings are wearing in this upcoming game will have trim around the numbers.

(and I see has already been fixed... good work, @canzman)
