  1. I thought the dirty dishwater uniform had gone away. Still hideous.
  2. I'm not sure I need to see a horned helmet for Houston, especially as the primary. It just doesn't work for me... they're the Houston Texans, not the Houston Bulls. The logo works because it's a Texas state flag in the shape of a bulls head... it's pretty clever. Without the flag, the connection isn't as strong. And the "mean and tough" uniform the dopey players are coming up with is going to straight up, 100% blow. Zero doubt.
  3. Well, in this particular case I was attempting to deride the way Gus Johnson says it. Which is why I put it in quotation marks. I’m pretty sure sarcasm quotes are something you do with your hands.
  4. Detroit vs. Kansas City Cincinnati vs. Cleveland Houston vs. Baltimore Tampa Bay vs. Minnesota Carolina vs. Atlanta Arizona vs. Washington Jacksonville vs. Indianapolis San Francisco vs. Pittsburgh Tennessee vs. New Orleans Las Vegas vs. Denver Philadelphia vs. New England LA Rams vs. Seattle Miami vs. LA Chargers Green Bay vs. Chicago Dallas vs. NY Giants Buffalo vs. NY Jets
  5. I admit I was wrong about them losing to TCU (but in my defense, it was more of a hope than it was a prediction... I'm terrible at predictions). However, this photo proves I'm spot on about the hat.
  6. Yup, that did not turn out at all as I’d hoped. Now we have to listen to that tipsy Gus Johnson keep rambling about “Coach Prime”. Still, he does look stupid in that hat. It’s basically analogous to LSU’s coach suddenly getting a bayou accent.
  7. Except of course for the hundreds of examples where these aren’t rules.
  8. I hope Colorado gets pounded without mercy tomorrow and honestly all season long. And that stupid oversized cowboy hat makes him look like a complete douche.
  9. Every few years I used to stumble across them on some random website. I’d bookmark it but when I’d go back they were always gone. Eventually it occurred to me that they were being posted by someone who shouldn’t be sharing them so I’d download them whenever I ran across them. It’s been probably 6 or 7 years at this point and I no longer have those old files. Too bad … there were always fun to look over.
  10. In the past couple of years the NFL hasn’t had nearly enough obstacles in the way of crappy uniform decisions if you ask me.
  11. Because the NFL’s “rules” about alts and throwbacks are only for the teams that bother to follow them.
  12. Sure, I could see that argument, but I think this thread is for what team will be wearing, not what they should be wearing. And the throwback the Vikings are wearing in this upcoming game will have trim around the numbers. (and I see has already been fixed... good work, @canzman)
  13. The Vikings’ glorious throwbacks should have gold trim on the numbers. And, again, are glorious.
  14. The Seahawks' color distribution is all out of whack, anyway. The helmet is navy, with gray and white details, and a tiny drop of green. The home jersey is navy, with a fair amount of gray, green trim and no white. The white jersey has navy numbers, a small amount of green, and no gray. The navy pants have green trim, but no white, or gray. The gray and white pants have no green. WTH?
  15. Millions of dollars of Ford Company advertising says the Lions keep that game.
  16. Yes, starting about ten years ago.
  17. That funny because when I was writing about how cheesy metallic fabrics look, the Golden Knights uniform was exactly what I was thinking about.
  18. I guess in my way of thinking, if it’s innocuous and subtle, is it really worth doing? Like if that area that was created with metallic thread was instead just straight forward gold, would the design be different in any impactful way? Would someone who liked it as is like it less? My philosophy in design is that if an element isn’t adding to the overall look in any significant way you’re probably better off just leaving it off. I feel like so many of these subtle touches get added just to show off some new technology with the hope of selling more down the line. I just don’t need it, personally.
  19. The Cardinals' all white uniforms look like ass. The silver inner stripe on the pants and jersey just completely disappears. It looks like two very thin red stripes placed weirdly wide. And that's because they made the absolutely moronic decision to make those stripes reflective. Why? Same reason teams put useless sublimated patterns in their numbers... because they can. All reflective, or chrome, or metallic thread elements on sports uniforms are garbage. Not usually. Not mostly. Always.
