  1. In the NFL, actually tanking has never really been a thing. I mean, sure, fans and TV gasbags spend a lot of time talking about it, but you'll never get 40 some players who are trying to have a career, and coaches fighting for their jobs, to go out and not try. The NBA is different. There are so few players on the floor at any given time that an owner or GM can really effect the games, but I can't honestly think of a time when an NFL team didn't at least try. (And, no, I don't think the Jets choke job against Las Vegas was intensional. If they were activey trying to lose, it never would've gotten that close.)
  2. So... between the four major sports, two are the exceptions and two are not the exceptions? I'm not sure that's how the word "exception" works.
  3. Yeah, although photo evidence is always sketchy you can kind of see it here... The finish is different and the orange is redder. The old color was clearly better IMO.
  4. Right, we see what a miserable failure that is with March Madness, which everyone absolutely hates and refuses to watch. Wait...
  5. LA Chargers vs. Las Vegas Buffalo vs. Denver Carolina vs. Green Bay Houston vs. Indianapolis Chicago vs. Minnesota San Francisco vs. Dallas New England vs. Miami Seattle vs. Washington Jacksonville vs. Baltimore Tampa Bay vs. Atlanta Detroit vs. Tennessee NY Jets vs. LA Rams Philadelphia vs. Arizona Kansas City vs. New Orleans Cleveland vs. NY Giants Pittsburgh vs. Cincinnati
  6. As for the Guardians, am I the only one worried about the obvious confusion with the team from Gotham City?
  7. Not long ago I took a shot at a Spiders concept with the color scheme of brown and red. I think the name is awesome, and a great chance to transition off navy blue.
  8. Actually, you can find plenty of video evidence of players being slowed down or even pulled down by these undershirts. The idea that it's some kind of strategic bait is pretty laughable. It's just another dopey fashion choice.
  9. My thought was to use the gold trim for the arrowhead, but make the letters gold with a red outline. That way, the arrowhead's colering echos the numbers, and the monogram's coloring echos the stripes. Like this...
  10. Well, yeah, that's why I said, all are good.
  11. All good, but if I had to pick one, it would definitely be the Browns. The dark-brown-might-as-well-be-black mask is just a useless black hole, visually. I have a totally irrational hatred of it. The white just feels like a weird glowing relic of the 80's NFL aesthetic. Gray is perfect... looks great with the orange, and fits the new uniform's old school feel. The Browns need to go back to a gray mask yesterday.
  12. Yeah, I'd keep the current logo, but switch to a gray mask. That's just a great, hard-nosed look.
  13. The Bears would look amazing in a gray mask IMHO.
  14. The beauty of this would be that by only supplying them with green and white jerseys, only gray and black pants, and only green socks, you've eliminated the possibilty of monochrome or leotards. Just take it out of their hands.
  15. For all of you that seem to have such a desire to see color on color games, tune in to this Arizona v Arizona State game. Hideous and moronic.
  16. 17. You could've fooled... well, pretty much everybody.
  18. I doubt it. If northwestern wins out, the B10 send nobody.
  19. From what I can gather from tOSU sources it seems like the B10's thought process at today's meeting went like this... First, they discussed moving games around to find a way to get the idle but healthy teams they will undoubtedly have sitting around this weekend together so Ohio State could get to six games. As this discussion became more and more convaluted and complicated, it occurred to somebody they were bending over backwards to create a game that Ohio State could conceivably lose by five touchdowns and it wouldn't matter, as they have the tiebreaker over everyone in the division. In other words, working their asses off for a completely meaningless game. On top of that, if tOSU is disqualified, and Indiana cancels for covid, two win Michigan State become the east representative. Comedy insues. Also, the six game minimum was put in place to make sure a team couldn't cherry pick their way through their schedule, covid-opt out of the tougher games, and get to the championship with four or five wins. Safe to say, they didn't see this coming. I get why people are annoyed. No one cares if Ohio State feels screwed... in fact, I'm sure most people would love it. But the real issue is whether or not Ohio State gets in the playoffs and that's out of the B10's hands. If you don't like that, blame the selection committee, if it even happens.
  20. Because they hate Ohio State, and this is pissing them off? Just guessing here
  21. Wait, is the above picture an example of what you mean by looking fine? Yikes. I'm sorry, I know we've had to look at this chopped version so long that a lot of people just assume that this is what it's supposed to look like, but no. This sucks. Under Armour might not do much correctly, but they got UCLA's shoulder stripes looking better than they have since the 90's. Nike would easily be able to do the same, but they're way too invested in selling whatever ridiculously named template they're pushing this year.
  22. I feel like the Ravens have a half way decent look hidden somewhere in all those bad choices, but it isn't very often they manage to find it.
