  1. I'm just patiently waiting for the day when my favorite team becomes so successful that everyone has to make up excuses as to why their hatred for them is so justified. I should live so long.
  2. Viking fans like to point out that there was a small four year window when a team could win the NFL championship while still losing the superbowl but, trust me, nobody wants to hear it.
  3. The NFLs rules about changing uniform designs are all about money. They don’t want to make any design obsolete too quickly. The Jets just debuted and manufactured a crap ton of these very popular jerseys. They’re still on sale right now. I’m going to assume that if they say they’re switching to this legacy jersey, that’s exactly what they’ll do.
  4. Houston vs. Baltimore Green Bay vs. San Francisco Tampa Bay vs. Detroit Kansas City vs. Buffalo
  5. When you mentioned 16 seeds, I thought you were talking about NCAA basketball also.
  6. Im just curious… you’ve said this a few times this season. I’m not looking for a fight but what makes you keep saying this? How were things lined up for the Cowboys more than any other playoff team? They had some impressive games (mostly against weaker teams at home) and also struggled a bit. Kind of normal better than average NFL team stuff. What did you think was lining up?
  7. I hate both these teams. I guess I could let myself feel bad because the Packers are going to win, but instead I’ll just be happy that the Cowboys are going down in such a humiliating fashion. What an epic embarrassment.
  8. Nothing is more predictable than you coming on here and whining about something.
  9. As a general concept I’m in complete support of a college athlete taking control of his future as much as possible. That being said, Caleb Williams strikes me as a bit of a douche , and I’m not going to be surprised if he’s a bust.
  10. It all just reminds me of time on here when we were discussing a new NBA city-whatever uniform, and someone decided that I was being intentionally obtuse because I said I didn’t know that apparently every third street in Atlanta is named Peachtree. But in truth I really didn’t know that. But much much more importantly I didn’t… and don’t… care what local significance Peachtree has. Because once again, it’s stupid. So yes, I know how many feet are in a mile. But the very idea of sticking it on the uniform of a national brand sports team makes me want to; A. Play dumb to not give them the satisfaction, and… B. Punch them in the face for being way less clever than they think they are.
  11. Or maybe we just…. Don’t care.
  12. If you walked up to me on the street and asked me how many feet were in a mile I’d tell you 5280. But if you randomly showed me a sports uniform that had that number on it, I don’t know that I’d immediately make the connection that that’s how many feet were in a mile, and that team is therefore from a city that’s a mile above sea level and blah blah… Because it’s stupid.
  13. Yeah, as a non-Lions fan living in Detroit, I can tell you, although locally everyone is guzzling the Dan Campbell kool aide, I do believe it’s only a matter of time until his in game decisions cost them a game. (Actually, in his first couple of seasons it already did.). I get why right now the DC love is enormous… he got them a division championship, he’s a funny goofball you’d want to have a beer with, the players would run thru a wall for him, he totally flipped the team culture. BUT… my assumption was at this point he’d learn a few lessons about when to be a river boat gambler and when to be an NFL coach and play it straight. He seems incapable. He is who he is. I’m not expecting him to rewrite his risky script completely, but come on… sometimes you gotta be smarter. Going for 2 for the win in Dallas was a great call and they certainly seemed to get screwed on the call. But at that point it’s a 2 point conversion from the 8. Just kick for the tie, dummy. He was just so frustrated by the call it became a stubborn “I’ll show you” moment. He let his emotions take over. Because of that dumb tough guy decision, they got what was coming to them. And eventually it’ll happen again.
  14. Wait… is that an actual on court NBA uniform? That’s exactly why I stopped paying attention to NBA uniforms once Nike bent the league over a coffee table. I hate when national brands do this “insider fan” garbage. Peachtree and ATL and Duuuuval. City nicknames replacing the actual city. It all comes off as so rinky dink. Embarrassing. I’d be willing to bet that, even if the Broncos do something stupid, it won’t be as stupid as that Nuggets uniform that looks like they got it at a mall kiosk. But watch them prove me wrong.
  15. I know I shouldn't even ask, but what the hell is an 5280?
  16. The Lions might have kicking issues, too. We just can't tell because Mr. Bite-their-kneecaps never kicks.
  17. Cleveland vs. Houston Miami vs. Kansas City Pittsburgh vs. Buffalo Green Bay vs. Dallas Los Angeles vs. Detroit Philadelphia vs. Tampa Bay
  18. The Chargers have a navy alt and a royal blue alt, but neither color appears anywhere on their primary uniform.
  19. Flush the B.S? Is there anyone in the NFL more full of B.S. than this addle brained pinhead?
  20. Pittsburgh vs. Baltimore Houston vs. Indianapolis Tampa Bay vs. Carolina Atlanta vs. New Orleans NY Jets vs. New England Cleveland vs. Cincinnati Jacksonville vs. Tennessee Minnesota vs. Detroit Philadelphia vs. NY Giants Dallas vs. Washington Seattle vs. Arizona LA Rams vs. San Francisco Chicago vs. Green Bay Kansas City vs. LA Chargers Denver vs. Las Vegas Buffalo vs. Miami
  21. I don't see any way in hell some team would give the Bears a first for Fields. Not at this point. If Chicago puts him on the market they're basically telling everyone they plan to draft a new QB, which kinda kills their leverage. You'd think they might get a 2nd rounder for him, tho I'm not really sure from who. Maybe some team that missed out on a QB in the first round might give a Bears a two for him. But I think you're right about Chicago keeping him. After all they seem intent on keeping that coach.
  22. Yeah, next year, with the top 12 teams going to the playoffs, the old bowl system will be true and completely dead. As a general rule, the playoffs will eat up the top 3 or 4 SEC teams, the top 3 Big Ten teams, the top 2 or 3 Big 12 teams, and probably 2 from the ACC. Throw in Notre Dame most years, and the other bowls will mean even less than they do now.
