  1. I like color on color in football whenever UCLA and USC are playing and also... Ok, that's pretty much it.
  2. Last year we had to listen to two weeks of complants about the fact that both teams coincidentally wore red, and weird theories/ideas about how they should avoid just wearing their uniforms. It's the Superbowl. The home team should wear their primary home uniform and they road team should wear their primary road uniform. Whoever wins needs to look like themselves while doing it. Nothing else is as important as that.
  3. That sock has blue at the top, touching the blue pants. It creates a lack of contrast and obscures the line between the pants and socks. It's a bad look.
  4. Since they don't have white socks with stripes that match the white jersey, the all white socks are their best choice. Anything is better than blue on blue.
  5. Yeah, I have to say, it is amazing to watch Rodgers in the pocket with rushers getting what seems to be obviously held on so many plays, with no flags. Watch the second and third down plays in the red zone on Green Bay's last possession, you can count multiple uncalled holds. I guess Packer fans can complain about that PI if they want (if it was my team, I would TBH) but they can't act like the refs were out to get them. They didn't get called for a single penalty until the 4th quarter.
  6. Ummm... That shirt stretch was kind of hard to miss.
  7. I feel like there are some people on this site who are putting a bit too much stock in the random comment somebody apparently made about the changes being minor. What a frequent poster on this board would call minor vs the general population is pretty different. I'm reminded that back in 2006, when the Vikings were about to change from the Culpeper/Moss uniforms to their Rebok mess the owner's son refered to the upcoming changes as minor. I know I've related this story on the board before, but I once got in a conversation with a Saints fan who was proud of the "fact" that the Saints had never changed their uniforms. I tried pointing out changes in logos, striping, number colors, etc, and he looked at me like I was crazy. Because they'd always worn black jerseys, gold helmets, and had the same logo, in his mind that literally equalled no changes. Minor could mean anything.
  8. As a resident of the great city of Detroit (who is thankfully not a Lions fan, by virtue of not being born here), I feel like I have a pretty unbiased view of Stafford as a quarterback. He has a great arm and is tough as nails, but has a tendency to fail when the pressure is highest. Also, whenever the Lions have tried to bring in a more complicated offensive system, it's been a bit of a disaster, and they've had to dial it back. I certainly wouldn't give up a first round pick for him, especially at his age, but I guess I wouldn't be shocked if someone does. I think that team will be disappointed. I'm pretty sure it won't be the Vikings... They already have Cousins, and he and Stafford are pretty much the same guy.
  9. You forgot the Lions. Matt Patricia might be the biggest coaching turd to ever fall off that tree.
  10. Yeah, the Eagles are right up there, too, for me. Although, like the Cowboys, it's mostly just a color issue.
  11. I don't know... What you just described sounds like an overhaul to me. Changing one of the main colors, adding pants they don't have? What the Saints mostly need is a uniform attitude adjustment. Someone needs to be repeatedly beaten over the head until they understand what looks good and what doesn't. I'd volunteer to do the beating, but only if they pay me a bounty for any injuries I cause.
  12. I'm no fan of Belichick especially, but calling him a fraud is a rather embarrassing case of sour grapes.
  13. After the Bengals, it's Rams, Falcons, Titans, Seahawks, and Cardinals, easily. But since the Rams, Titans, and Falcons are stuck for a while, it's Seahawks, Cardinals, Broncos, Ravens, and Saints.
  14. The Texans are a weird case for me. There's nothing objectively wrong with their basic uniform (other than the moronic use of navy socks with the navy pants, and a truly ugly color rush set) and I was actually a somewhat big fan of their look when they first started, but somewhere along the line they lost me. They really are just a visual empty void. Just the very definition of a paint by numbers NFL uniform. I've been thinking they may be a team that could try out a silver/red/silver scheme. It's odd that that particular color combination is so iconic for the Ohio State University, but it really is almost ignored on every other football level.
  15. "Minor changes" could mean almost anything. But if true, it could be promising. If were talking minor changes, here are the four that are would work for me; 1. Switch to the Color Rush numbers... single layer, white, traditional-ist block. 2. Remove the side panels... an absolute non-negotiable must. 3. Rework the top of the pants stripe to remove the white... without the jersey side panels, the top of the pants stripe doesn't make sense. 4. Switch the "B" logo to the tiger head. This would still leave them with a bit of a cluttered uniform IMO, but would definitely clean up the most egregious parts, and take them from bottom five to middle of the pack.
  16. Since I'm mathematically eliminated... Tampa Bay Kansas City
  17. Well, obviously. Rich people don't pay taxes.
  18. Are you serious? Rich people waste money constantly. That's pretty much the defining characteristic of the lifestyle.
