  1. I see a pattern forming here... Awesome pictures, and yes, the ACC does look like a sweet arena to watch a game in. Good stuff Chris.
  2. Canucks: Game 7 of the 1994 Stanley Cup finals. It was an awesome run, it's just too bad Lafayette couldn't convert his golden opportunity and maybe send it to OT. Mariners: The entire 2001 ALCS vs. New York. When Chuck Knoblauch got on base on the very first pitch of the series, I could feel that something wasn't right...
  3. #11 was never actually retired by the Canucks. It was only unofficially not worn out of respect for him. That being said, I can understand why people were a bit miffed that they did that for Mess when he came here, but at the time, mess was supposed to be the saviour of the Canucks, so they gave him what he wanted, and I suppose in the end, it wasn't a big deal. For the record, the Canucks only have one retired number thus far, and that is Stan Smyl's #12. I imagine we'll be seeing Trevor Linden's #16 hanging alongside it in the rafters at GM Place one of these years too. Plus if it were up to me, Pavel Bure's #10 would be up there with them. Simple Vancouver Math: Kirk McLean > Pavel Bure. I see you failed math.

  5. Mine involves the kiss-cam too. I was at the Sonics/Kings game in Seattle last month and it gets around to these two younger people and they see themselves and they start getting all embarrassed and the girl goes "He's my brother!" and the camera promptly cuts to the next couple. Not hilarious or anything, but I laughed for about 10 minutes straight at it.
  6. Oh well, who needs Bush anyway? I never thought I'd be excited about a 4-12 season.
  7. The Western Block Party's logo is awesome.
  8. I loved the Salt Lake City medals, especially with the XIX right underneath where the strap hangs, I always thought that was a clever little touch.
  9. It's about time. I'd hoped that the NBA would do this for years.
  10. I loved that jersey. These ones too, but I did like the white one more.
  11. The same day as? Guaranteed to raise a smile.
  12. I would say yes in this case, especially cause this will look like WSOS when viewed from far away.
  13. That is gross. And I thought the 98 Olympic jerseys were bad...
