  1. 4 U's uniting to create one big U maybe? That's the best I got right now.
  2. No, that deal fell through when Ted Rogers offered the Argos a deal they apparently couldn't refuse. ...and if you were eavesdropping on one of the conversation Braden and me had on the weekend, you'd have half a dozen reasons why that is a very good thing. Can we eavesdrop now?
  3. As much as DEI wants to deny it I think the swap that Jr. and Waltrip did with the crew, info, crew chief, etc. really messed up the chemistry they had. Although Mikey has benefitted somewhat from the old #8 equipment it's really hurt Jr. as he tries to bring the old #15 up to par. Agreed. Looks like it may not have been the best decision in retrospect. Hopefully the team gets its act together before too long. Either way... Go Junior!!!
  4. That's good to hear. Sure, it's different from the NFL, but it's not without its charm. Some of us would say it has more charm... I've always thought it had equal charm myself.

  6. Like hell it would. I'd never give up my 49ers for a Toronto team, never in a million years. I agree. They could put a NFL team in my backyard and name them after me and I wouldnt root for them. Ever. Hell, if they put a CFL team in my backyard, I wouldn't look out my window to watch them play. What if it was a really nice day outside?
  7. Cal Ripken Jr's always been my favourite athlete. His dedication to his work, for me, was inspiring cause it said to me "Hey, whatever happens, happens, just keep going and try your best." Back in the heyday of the streak, I wasn't at a really good point in my life, and that kinda dedication is part of what kept me going (that was just one thing of course). To this day, I still have this poster in my room right in front of me... And naturally, he was great on the field too where it counted.
  8. You'd be correct, there's a fair bit of Seahawks fans around these parts. I imagine it's easy cause of the fact that Seattle's only a 2½ hour drive away, so it's a lot easier to cheer for a team that's that close than one that would be so far away. Then again, maybe I shouldn't talk cause I am a Niners fan, and they're pretty far away.

  10. Why are they marketing a Canadian team to American fans? Disregarding the faact that pretty much any American baseball fan would know that Toronto is in Canada in the first place. What a dumb reason. As for no blue in the uniforms, it's still stupid cause last I checked, the team was called the Blue Jays, and the colour blue doesn't respresent Canada at all (when I think of Canada, I think of red and white personally) so if that's the reason, then it's a ridiculous reason.
  11. Bring on the Spurs! They're not gonna be as easy as the Kings were though, but I have faith.
  12. I can't say that I agree with the CFL trend, reinforced with many of the new uniforms, of placing the small numbers on the shoulders instead of the arms. I always thought the entire point of the smaller numbers was to be able to identify players while they're in profile. Like the Lions uniforms. Here's a bigger picture of the new Leos uniforms... I like them, but that black stripe has gotta go. Other than that, nice work.
  13. Wasn't he one of the producers of The Brady Bunch? I used to think so too, but no, different guy.
  14. Cause that makes too much damn sense!
