  1. Rumors of Belichick to the Falcons are picking up a LOT of steam lately. The irony of him moving down south to coach the team he forever memed into "28-3" is not lost on me here...
  2. I may be one of the few who don't hate the Jets' current uniform, even with the numbers outlines in black. The problem is the alternate black uniform for which they shoehorned the black into the uniforms in the first place. That said, setting aside my personal annoyance for teams reverting to throwback uniforms "just because" (in this case, nostalgia being a helluva drug), I really won't have an issue with the Jets adopting the Sack Exchange sets as their next primary—so long as they commit to it and don't change it again in 5 years when a new generation of whatever exists of Jets nations starts clamoring for the 60s/70s sets to come back. All that said...I hope they reduce the amount of green on that collar to some trim piping Ala the Buccaneers' collars, because that all-green collar as is currently is incredibly distracting. (Oh, and I also hope Nike doesn't try to "Nikefy" those Champion Block-era numbers, either. Either leave them as is or slap their current numbers, sans trim, on the next sets. But no unnecessary hackneyed cuts/angles on an otherwise standard block style, please...)
  3. (Though the team says the B is not for "B"engals but for team owner Paul "B"rown)... And depending on who you choose to listen to/believe... (There's a hint of an implied E in that logo...whether that was intentional or not, I don't know.) And then there was this from the past... The point is...it's happened several times before. I get the logic behind the statement (I've made the same statement many times up in here), but sometimes I look beyond my own biases and just accept it if it's a good enough logo on its own.
  4. Man say whuuuttt??? Check this out! @edjb93, a concepter after my own kind! Just so you know what @Ted Cunningham is talking about, my very first concept series ever on this board was the Airline Football League, way back in like 2006 or something. Nice to see this come back around dang near two decades (!) later! I'm actually half-curious now to go back and look at those early designs of mine. Anyway, you've got some great work going here thus far. So far you seem to be focusing more on international airlines, which I most certainly did not. (Then again, back then, we actually had a lot more domestic airlines to pick from before they all cannibalized each other into the big 3+1 we have now, plus a random offshoot of others.) I'll be watching this here...this is some good stuff!
  5. I caught their New Year's Eve game on TV (I came thisclose to actually going to the game in person, and I probably should have since they straight up STOMPED the Blackhawks), but I was surprised beyond belief at myself by how much I found myself marveling at that jersey/those uniforms. If they go on sale after the season, I might just see about ordering one... (And that's saying something considering my fervent angst for most things Dallas...)
  6. Without knowing the inspiration behind that logo, the first thing I thought of was Kento of Hard Rock (or Xiu, if you prefer the original version)...
  7. Yyyeeeaaahhh, y'all remember that Reddit-rumored Denver Broncos uniform mockup from a few pages ago? The one with the "mountain sleeves"? Well, by chance encounter I think I may have found where that supposed mockup actually came from. Read: I am NOT saying these are the new Broncos uniforms, just a guy's concept from 2022. Check this out: https://www.behance.net/gallery/148837051/Denver-Broncos-Uniform-Redesign Welll.....all I'm gonna say about this is that a couple years back I heard grumblings within that team's organization about a possible update to come. I'm not saying it will or won't happen, or what that update could entail, just that I heard the grumblings. All of which is to say: I wouldn't be the slightest bit surprised if they actually/finally do spring (ha!) an update on us in the months to come. And I'll be right here with the rest of you all wondering what they'll be or if it even happens.
  8. Just a funny little anecdote for all of the rest of y'all: both Fiddy and I had a cousin on those Super Bowl teams, one on each team. Of course, for one of us those blood ties ain't mean jack, but both of us ended up celebrating after it was over (or rather, once we knew it was over for good...after one of those cousins ran back a pick-six to ice it.)
  9. I don't know how you felt about this, but that game to me felt like Tampa Bay's Super Bowl. Once they won that (and a/ exercised the demons of both Philly phatigue and b/ the cold--which actually happened a week or two prior, at Chicago), I knew they were winning the whole thing. (Think Miracle on Lake Placid...as humongous a milestone victory as that was for the US Olymic Hockey team, it was still only the semifinal game.) That they went on to wreck Bill Callahan's Raiders as thoroughly as they did was just icing on the cake. That kinda just happened, no? (Dolphins at Chiefs in sub-freezer conditions)
  10. Not for nothing, but those Sapp Bucs only stomped the McNabb Eagles once in the postseason...the one in which they went on to win it all.
  11. For years I have tried to get on board with the Dolphins' current aqua but...I can't. It just looks way too washed out. Of course their former aqua is dang near similar to the Jaguars' teal, but still...I think darkening that hue just a smidgen would do wonders for that look. (Well that and losing the top-left rounded corners on what are otherwise their longtime Machine Block numbers...)
  12. I never understood why they chose to darken the orange trim back in 1997 when this look first unveiled, either. I still don't know why they did that. But yeah, if anything all they really need to do is lighten that orange up to either 151C orange (or whatever TC-xxxx code they may be using now) or to their original creamsicle orange. I guarantee it'll pop more then (and not bleed so much into the red on the white jerseys' red numbers).
  13. And the reason they have Aaron Judge's NOB on that jersey is...what now??
  14. I mentioned this in another thread (or maybe it was this one?), but perhaps Houston missed their workaround of the Oilers IP. Rather than simply adding light blue to navy and red a la the 2003 LA Avengers (and for those who remember, the amount of light blue seemed to increase ever so slightly from the time they first added it as the slightest bit of trim), perhaps they should have explored co-opting the Colorado Rapids/West Ham United colorway of light blue and maroon/crimson/garnet...??? Just a thought...I or someone would have to concept that out to see how it'd look.
  15. Aijuswannabackthisuprightqwik, because truthfully, even though I always knew about the reason Atlanta has so many streets named Peachtree, I also thought it was dumb as heck to put THAT on the front of a basketball jersey. (And while we're on this, it was/is just as dumb for Miami to spell out "Heat CULTURE" on their City jerseys. But this is the kind of stuff that happens when new designs are forced every year because talks...)
  16. In other words, a winter Saturday in western New York...
  17. Hey, Buffalonians are a different breed, man... ....That's what I love about them.
  18. Okay, so...show of hands for all who had THIS in their 2024 betting pool: Bill Belichick and Atlanta Falcons rumored to have "mutual interest"...
  19. The Colorado Rapids also use a variation of it (which i know is easy to forget—I keep forgetting it ): And of course West Ham uses it over in the BPL, but unless I'm missing something somewhere, the Rapids are the only North American top-level pro team that uses it as a primary colorway. I'm actually considering rebranding my personal identity in this colorway. (Shoot, maybe the Houston Texans should have thought of this colorway for their next branding life...just sayin'.)
  20. I can't speak for other folk, but I'm probably more aware of otherwise obscure or at least relatively unknown factoids/tidbits/associations with certain cities due to having piloted between 80K and 84K lbs of hardware, human and cargo (and a bunch of unnecessary safety software) in and out of all of these places, so there's that. If there is one thing I continue to marvel at in however many years its been of me being around these Creamerite parts (though I shouldn't be surprised just knowing the nature of some people in general) is the level of density and/or obliviousness in some people's heads...and it becomes blatantly obvious after they hit "post" and the evidence gets left on screen.* But that's another topic for another forum. Moving on... On one hand, I agree with you. BUT...at the same time, it's not always wise to assume everyone everywhere knows all the little unique little tidbits about other places/cultural aspects of these places. Big country, lots of people, and (again, alluding to my previous paragraph) some folk just either haven't had the chance or choose not to travel out of their own little pickets of whereverville (or make broadstroke generalizations about other places ignorant of actual feet-on-the-ground experience—but again, another topic for another forum.) All that said, I do find it neat when certain sports design/uniform design features incorporate previously obscure facets of local cultures. As much as the whole City Edition (and now City Connect) program annoys me, I will give it/them credit for bringing some of that to light. Of course, some of those alternates do it way better than others (like here and here). No, it does not. It should, but you know the States got to be different from everywhere else in the world, because 'MURICA!!!4321 and all that....
  21. It must just be me, but I thought the 5280 ft thing in regards to Denver was pretty common knowledge.
  22. I'd prefer jerseys based more on the '65-'66 jerseys myself: ...but with the D-horse logo and helmet from two posts up.
  23. That name sounds familiar...wasn't he a linebacker up there for the Patriots for a good little bit? Or am I thinking of someone else?
