  1. They'll meet at the ball so that's a nice visual metaphor to lean into.
  2. Nostalgia for a player is more important for some fans than is historical context. That's going to be a big push for college jerseys as well.
  3. It's not inspiring, so I expect them to change it up some next season. Just making the football solid would help. Another of trophy companies might do a discount price if they let them "sponsor" the trophy and the post game presentation
  4. I assume they will do the college/ hs markings and leave it at that. It will be interesting to see if they fill in the end zones.
  5. The Hall got brand new blank turf that will allow them to have more clean looking events like the USFL and the occasional soccer and Canton McKinley football.
  6. They screw up every so often for some reason. They were probably too lazy to fix it after the name and logo changes
  7. It's the template and it looks like they shrunk it so it won't stretch into the armpit. They still could have done this with the new template. I think they went big because it's so plain.
  8. I see the away and alternate as a copy of Detroit. Same stripes and same team name in stripes.
  9. They also could do what theXFL and college does and pick a side. I think the USFL ends up looking cheaper because of the width of the collars, loose jerseys, and dare I say it, a maker's mark. It looks incomplete. Like Hugh school all star game jerseys that are all one size.
  10. I think it's kind of an even split. Most USFL unis are bland pants and decent traditional jerseys. The XFL is a different bird and if they had kept the 2.0 uniforms, I would pick them in a run away. The Pittsburgh white jerseys looked ok to me. I think I prefer them to the black. The replicas in the USFL are ridiculous. There's no real reason to do that to the jersey front. They'd be better served to do an homage to the big logo World League uniforms if they weren't going to match the actual jersey look
  11. Clock rules probably look to meet the pace of the XFL. The QB rule is interesting but will it come into play? The new KO rules are a head scratcher. I like the fumble change.
  12. This was when Adidas went to their super tight and stretchy unis. Most NFL players wore th e standard look.
  13. or, they're going back to the norm before the norm.
  14. Did Riddell make a helmet pad to make those gladiator lids obsolete or is that their version of the Vicis Trench?
  15. I get the nostalgia of it, but it wasn’t a good logo.
  16. A video from today's practice showed it only on the left side.
  17. While it could against some teams, Orlando would be messy IMO.
  18. Even with a network connection, they're going to squeeze every drop of moisture out of those leagues.
  19. I'm interested in seeing what Pittsburgh will look like. Hopefully not just a recolor but I'm not sure what else they could do. It would be interesting if they have maker's marks this season and some sponsor patches like CFL or Arena Football
  20. Both leagues are going to have that minor league aesthetic. XFL let Under Armour go wild and I think there's good and bad all throughout. Except for Vegas and Houston, the old logos didn't need touched. Orlando and Vegas should have been renamed and San Antonio would have been better off just using the Rocks logo. The "full" horn ball logo is awful.
  21. I think this is exactly what minor league teams should do. No reason to be advertising phobic if it keeps these league afloat. It's also an opportunity for local sponsors and their namesake cities to get a cheaper ad for a "pro" team.
  22. I think the only way they paint the end zones is for the final. That's the only time I can remember Canton actually doing that.
  23. A) I think they should have gone with a yellow lid. B] I don't think the Steelers will care unless they do a logo on just one side. They should have done a patterned stripe maybe so that it resembled steel.
  24. It could be the Championship location again.
