  1. Use a clipping path. https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/using/clipping-masks.html#id_8421
  2. Coming from a designer's point of view, I just love reading the comments of people on rebrands. It's hilarious. I doubt many of them couldn't make a stick figure look like a stick figure. Thanks for the humor.
  3. Probably, if I thought about it, I like grey facemaks. Do I want everyteam to have them? No, but they are a nice tertiary color that doesn't compete with other colors. And I think one reason I do like them, is that they were originally used, so I'm use to seeing grey facemasks from older pictures.
  4. Rumors have it that when the Kings get around to raising their Stanley Cup Banner, that it will along with all the other Kings' banners, will be hung from the rafters as opposed to be displayed on a wall. The wall display was something that the Kings and Lakers did at the Forum and carried over to Staples Center.
  5. Depending on what view you are looking at, it sometimes looks strange when it's actually normal. I noticed the image you are showing, it's being viewed at 70%. Look at it at 100% and you will see that they are normal and the size you want.
  6. Screen shots will help. Are you hitting align left or align center? Also which version of Illustrator do you have? I have noticed that if you have objects near the edge of an art board, it sometimes acts funny.
  7. Obviously these morons are just too stupid to learn from history. This CUSA/WAC merger is nothing more than the WAC 1996-1998. It failed then because of the amount of schools and the distance. This new formation will fail also, as will West Virginia in the Big 12. They will eventually leave and join the ACC, and all these other schools from the West in the Big East will leave and the Big East will fold and become a basketball conference only.
  8. http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/browse/popular/ http://wp.smashingmagazine.com/2008/01/08/100-excellent-free-high-quality-wordpress-themes/ They may not look like a lot, but it's what you do with them, that makes them shine.
  9. But I'm not using the same mark. My question was is if this: ...infringes on this: Or if they're different enough to where it shouldn't be a problem. Was it inspired by the Bears' "B"? If someone off the street will say it looks like the Bears' "B", then any judge/jury will say you stole it. That's what the court uses in infringement cases, how much two images are alike, not different. Your best bet, create a new logo. If they Bears find out, then you're going to get a legal letter to remove the logo.
  10. Control or Command H. Your box is hidden and either Control-H or Command-H will turn it on or off.
  11. With all this realignment in college football, I'm starting to lose interest in college football. I'm sorry, but college football is about tradition and rivalries. The fact that the Big 12 is inviting West Virginia is beyond ridiculous. West Virginia makes no sense for the Big 12. Recruiting? TV draw? Does someone think that West Virginia vs anyone in the Big 12 is going to get ratings? That's where the money is coming from, tv ratings. The fact that West Virginia is going to the Big 12 and the Big East is looking at adding Boise State, Air Force, and possibly BYU is how stupid things are. BYU will not go to the Big East, Big 12 maybe, Big East no. Then again BYU going independent shows they saw what really was happening in college football, just plain stupidity by each conference. West Virginia does not improve the Big 12, it just keeps it from imploding right now as is the Big East going after schools in the Rockies. And what really happens to Texas, the big "bully" in all of this with it's Longhorn Network that has miserably failed? When does Texas start begging conferences to let them in? Texas has been so full of themselves, that it's quite amusing to watch them fail in trying to strong-arm college football.
  12. I just don't understand why we don't disband conferences and go all independents. I know that sounds crazy, but are we really that far away from having so many super conferences that one day we'll have just one? If everyone goes independent, they can schedule who they want, get the money they want and it still wouldn't change the fact that big name schools will be the ones vying for the Mythical National Championship.
  13. It's a good thing BYU is going independent next year, because with the way they are playing this year, no one would want them, not even your local pee-wee league.
  14. One thing that you are missing about BYU going independent, is the fact that BYU will control it's fate and who it schedules. Instead of leaning on just beating one or two schools and the rest of your schedule is just a bunch of patsies. Now going independent, they can continue to schedule tough like they do, but if they run the schedule of tougher opponents then they put themselves in a better position to go to a BCS game than they do if they run the Mountain Least schedule. BYU has never been afraid to play the big boys in the big boys stadium and that is something that a lot of the big boys can't even say, I'm talking to you Florida and Nebraska. People sit there and talk about how BYU isn't Notre Dame, that's correct. At least BYU has done something over the past few years, what exactly has Notre Dame done? Oh yeah, that's right, they are still living off the legend of the Gipper.
  15. Make it about 100 pixels tall save it as a jpg and then got to "what the font" upload it and match it there. It's a standard font, so it should show up there.
  16. Look for an Indiana Jones font, that'll get you close.
  17. I like the Arizona Diamondbacks original colors better than the current colors. I love the teal of the Marlins original uniforms and own an all-teal cap. I actually like the Clippers home and blue jerseys, oh and the Charlotte Hornets original look with the purple, green and teal pinstripes, oh and the Warriors orange/red in their uniforms they just got rid of. Then again, there's also my opinion that if you put teams like Boise State in the Big 10, that over time they could compete! Isn't that right infrared?
  18. My initial response to adding Utah was, "Eh." I'm a Pac 10 fan and wanted to see the likes of Texas and Oklahoma on a yearly basis. I know distance and all, was an issue, but purely on the competition side, to see those two in football alone would give credence (media-wise) to the Pac 10. The fact of the matter is the the Pac 10, no matter how good it is, will always be looked down upon because it's west of the Mississippi and the media is centered around NYC. It's not whining, it's just stating a fact. Heck, if the SEC schools all went 1-11 and the Pac 10 schools went 11-1, the media would crown the SEC the toughest conference. I realize that's actually impossible, but you get my point. I'm not bashing Utah, which is a quality school all around, but Utah's not as sexy as Texas or Oklahoma. If it was up to me, I'd still rather see BYU replace Colorado and keep that rivalry going in a conference. I'm a BYU fan, until someone tells me I have to be because I'm a member of the Church, and then when the do that, I root for BYU to lose. Then again, I root for BYU to lose, just to piss people off! I just am not sold on Colorado, or should I say Berkley in the Mountains? We've already got one liberally nut-case for a school in Berkley, why add another? If you got Colorado from the late 80's, that to me would've been a better fit, but today they are a middle of the road school in everything.
  19. I'm completely confused by all this. As of right now, the Pac 10 becomes the Pac 10 plus 1, the Big 12 becomes the Big 12 minus two, and the Big 10 plus 1 becomes the Big 12? Okay that makes sense... or not!
  20. We all know the perfect match is Notre Dame, now whether Notre Dame and the Big 11 will ever put their egos aside is a whole different story. A couple things I wouldn't mind seeing. If the Big 11 does expand, then change the name to the Great Lakes Conference or something like that. I also think that maybe they should ditch a member and truley become the Big 10. The question is, which is the least valuble member? Minnesota? Northwestern? Maybe Illinois? I'm thinking money-making sports here. I know someone posted about San Diego State joining the Pac 10. It will never happen. Vanderbilt has a better shot of becoming a member than does SDSU. San Diego isn't really a sports town, they don't support the Aztecs and the Aztecs are good in basketball and pathetic in football, and it's academic standards, I don't think are up there with Stanford and UCLA. There is nothing there attractive to the Pac 10 about SDSU. I can't figure San Diego out, it's like this black hole of sports.
  21. That's interesting. It's got to be in his settings where he's getting the rounded corners. I would honestly email him and find out, because that to me might be the "secret" ingredient he's not showing. I see what he's doing and I got the same effect as you did, so there's something he's not telling us!
  22. To get rounded corners on both the inside and outside, you have to draw them that way. So instead of going down to the edge of a hard corner, stop a bit before it drop a anchor and then go diagonally at about a 45 degree angle and place your next anchor and round it out to the shape you want it to be. It really doesn't like hard edge corners, there's a reason why, I just couldn't begin to explain it to you.
  23. On the "g" and the "n" that notch is called and "ear", I'm not so sure on the "u" though.
