NBA "Likely" going to advertisement on jerseys
Slickster replied to roxfan00's topic in Sports Logo News
Satirical image. -
I think the team's color scheme is more memorable than their logo. As long as they keep that iconic color scheme I think they can tweak or radically change the logo and it won't be a Buffalo Sabres situation.

Julius Seizure, did you get my PM?

Check out the Giants logo on that lunchbox!

Maybe the screws in the helmet itself could get colored green. -

If only there was a way for the Seahawks to include the green in their helmet's ancillary elements. Does the Riddell panel on the back of the helmet have to be white? -
The U flying directly at the viewer must look great in 3D.
-
Wouldn't mind seeing the old 'conference logo on helmet' tradition referenced with a simple banner in each team's endzone or on the goalpost pads instead of being painted into the endzone itself.

What's it supposed to be? Vaguely shaped like Brazil.

When the heck did they ever wear that? For about 8 games over the 1995-96 and 1996-97 seasons. What you can't see in that photo is the checkerboard side panels and trim... http://aroyalpain.com/2009/08/13/phenomenal-swag-96-97-peja-stojakovic-jersey/

Prokhorov: Nets to change name for 2012 Brooklyn move
Slickster replied to Waffles's topic in Sports Logo News
Brooklyn Knights is in no way generic when you consider people from Brookyln are called Brooklynites. It's rather clever. Agreed Nacho. Not to mention this name has been thrown around for over a year now for that very reason. While "Knights" is a generic name in general, it works perfectly in this situation. Sometimes depending on the circumstances the simplest most generic names work the best. Also, the Brooklyn Knights initials are BK, which is ANOTHER nickname for Brooklyn. They could just use the initials on merchandise and it will be instantly identifiable with the team and with the area. -
What's the Chiefs' AFL logo patch say?

I love how the only thing people remember from Any Given Sunday is the Dallas Knights' uniforms.
