  1. I think this is a hybrid of Mardi Gras mask designs and the French Quarter architecture. Nice homage to both if that's the case.
  2. I wish they would at least return the AFC and NFC logos to the end zones.
  3. If we're being reminded of the fact that the NHL prefers teams to have the same front crest logos on home and away uniforms, will they pressure the Hurricanes to do this rather than the three different ones they have now?
  4. Are the gold socks returning? Or will they remain black?
  5. Possible unpopular opinion: I hope they DO NOT MAKE THESE THEIR FULL-TIME UNIFORMS. The current color scheme and logo, which the Minnesota Wild have used since Day 1 of the franchise (October 6, 2000), beautifully fits the description of forests and wilderness. I like the newly-minted alternate uniforms and they're a nice and colorfully vibrant homage to the North Stars, but they belong in the regular season and up to 15 times a year. This is the Minnesota WILD, not North Stars, and as such, the abstract bear head/forest scenery logo should never be altered or changed on a full-time basis.
  6. I've always wondered why that was too. I was surprised when Buffalo and Vancouver switched to their alternates when the rules clearly say only one set of home/away uniforms can be used for the playoffs.
  7. Premier League have new in-game graphics on the world feed.
  8. https://www.nbcsportschicago.com/nfl/chicago-bears/bears-news/chicago-bears-seemingly-change-primary-logo-to-the-bear-relegate-the-traditional-c/500431/ I must say this is a head scratcher from the Bears. The Wishbone "C" is legendary and historic. Why demote it?
  9. Canes look too much like either Harvard or Boston University with the red helmets on the road.
  10. I totally agree. I ABSOLUTELY LOVED this jersey and wasn't happy they never wore it in the playoff before retiring it.
  11. Edmonton's wearing royal blue in the playoffs for the first time since 1992.
  12. I'm not a new user. I've been a user on this board for 19 years, but my old account was locked so I had to make a new one. You know how annoying that is. Anyway, have any teams announced if they will wear their alternate jerseys in the postseason? Unless I missed it, I haven't seen anything.
  13. I agree this jersey should be a full time alternate, but keep it at that. DO NOT make it the basis for full time regular uniforms. IMO, the Wild logo and colors that have been around since 2000 must stay.
  14. The Blue Jackets jerseys in Finland had the Global Series patch on the right chest with the Safelite patch not there. So that leads me to think that the Stanley Cup patch will remain where it's been if a team with a sponsored jersey is in it.
  15. Probably throw in the fact that their success in 2004 was out of nowhere and their run to the Stanley Cup Finals was a total surprise, especially with it being their first playoff appearance in eight years.
  16. So with the ads on the jerseys, where would the Stanley Cup patch go when the time comes?
  17. I wonder how long it will be before the Hurricanes fanbase demands they go back to these full-time and change their road whites accordingly.
  18. Before Super Bowl LIV, Fox never debuted new graphics at the big game. That was the first time they ever did so. It'll be interesting to see if they do it again this year.
  19. What about the logo? Is the alternate stick and flags logo going to be the primary and the primary storm logo getting phased out?
  20. If you win the Super Bowl wearing your alternate, you might as well make it your full-time uniform. (1994 49ers didn't get the memo obviously)
  21. https://www.instagram.com/p/Cc_Ch06plYa/ Right I was
  22. As I always ask this time of year, is there any word of which teams will use their alternate uniforms in the postseason? I'm guessing the Canes will use theirs for a fourth consecutive year.
  23. If I remember right, Fox used that lower right hand corner graphic for only their first week before moving it to the upper left their second week.
  24. https://www.espn.com/nhl/story/_/id/33444428/nhl-unveils-fresh-new-look-postseason-first-makeover-13-seasons-includes-reimagined-stanley-cup-logo As nice as this looks, it makes me think much too much of the Kings.
