  1. I didn't get a chance to post it last week but OITGDNHL would the commissioner decide to pick a new uniform supplier and go with the almost universally hated merch partner.
  2. Following that logic: UAB to the SEC (baseball at Hoover). Georgia Tech and Georgia State are off to the SEC. USF is off to the SEC because the basketball tourney has been in Tampa. Charlotte to the ACC and the Big South. UNC Greensboro is headed to the ACC. West Florida to the Fun Belt. UNLV is going to be in the PAC-XX as well as the WCC, WAC, and the Mountain West. And maybe even the Big West if you wanna lump Henderson in with Vegas. TCU to the American. UNC Asheville to the SoCon. Evansville is leaving the MVC for the OVC. Boise State to the Big Sky. SMU is headed back to CUSA. This all checks out.
  3. Just because they moved media day to Vegas, you think they're adding UNLV? It's more tied to the league having their football championship game in Allegiant.
  4. No, March Madness is too much of a cash cow. They may get football autonomy though.
  5. Has the NCAA lifted the moratorium on new bowls?
  6. I had a soft spot for UAB since well before the program got axed. I'm about to give up on them until Mark Ingram is no longer the AD. Dilfer's hiring is one thing but that absolute show of a "search" is made even more hilariously bad when you realize he had since June to find a replacement.
  7. The Noles look good tonight. It wasn't just a good game against an assy Miami team that quit 2.5 drives into the game.
  8. The only way to get out of the ACC GOR is to have something like 5 or 7 schools all on board to axe it at the same time. It's going to be incredibly had to get landing spots for that many teams all at once.
  9. 9 is easy. Everybody plays everybody and you have a 8 game conference schedule.
  10. That stadium was designed with easy expansion in mind. The KSU to CUSA move almost seems like, "hey, FIU is asleep at the wheel, just replace FAU with another Owls team. It'll be fine."
  11. Crazy for an athletic department that almost went D3 due to financial impacts of a D1 department then almost went D2 (to the point of competing a year as a D2 independent and being accepted into the Gulf South) before ultimately deciding to keep D1 athletics. This was only a decade ago and now they're almost certainly adding football.
  12. Are you implying that Anderson was behind the leaks. That's highly unlikely for reasons not to hard to figure out.
  13. Well they'd need a partner joining the MWC or Sun Belt so it's CUSA or nothing. The MWC didn't want UTEP so I doubt SFA would move the needle, especially with UTEP being in Mountain time and SFA being in Central time and practically Louisiana.
  14. ESPN doesn't cover you unless they broadcast you. It's not necessarily because they're partnering with the XFL but I'm sure that helped.
  15. Augustana (SD) will play in the CCHA when their varsity hockey team starts play in 2023.
  16. As is the usual after an Olympics
  17. ESPN settled this forever ago ... nevermind they closed the voting early due to the bots.
  18. Tennessee State being needed by the OVC doesn't mean jack. Tennessee State having ambitions of going to FBS is not new. The NCAA isn't going to give TSU a waiver like they gave Liberty. The MAC has already said no to central Tennessee, the Sun Belt might kick the tires as Tennessee State does bring a solid fan base with them (which the SBC values more than being in Nashville) but the most logical landing spot is CUSA. Tennessee State seems to have embraced the "athletics are the front porch of the university" mentality. They were (and maybe still are) considering the SWAC, though I think the Jackson State/Southern Heritage Classic debacle soured that. They're considering jumping up to FBS (probably more so now after the aforementioned debacle). They've even moved beyond just the feasibility study and are pursuing funding to launch men's and women's hockey programs.
  19. If you had an intro course to the CCLSC, it would mostly be lore and not actual uniform/design stuff.
  20. Don't need to buy airtime from your owner (Fox) and NBC has an interest in seeing this be successful so they're going to hype this up along with Fox.
  21. Marshall and Southern Miss have temporary restraining orders against CUSA right now. ODU is working on one too. This just makes it seem what we've all known: the most likely outcome will be financial compensation. Which is what the schools wanted anyway.
  22. Per Wikipedia, he played collegiately for the University at Albany
  23. And the Lindenwood board voted to approve the transition to D1.
