Seriously? Not only is it beyond old, LeBron was just posted on the previous page. I think it's high time that people got over it. I think he's trying to make a joke that the Cavaliers uniform is the "wrong" one for LeBron... I think. You're a genius. w/o a Doubt.

This was an excellent idea for a thread, but I think we exhausted its true purpose in the first several pages. Now, people are posting in it, just to post. Come on, almost every athlete plays for a handful of teams over a career anymore, it's kind of stupid to keep posting pics every time a guy (especially someone fairly young) gets traded or signs with another team. We had something here, when we were sticking to big stars who played maybe that one year somewhere else, or oddball stuff like Mike Piazza with the Marlins. Now we're just being stupid.

I agree with all of that. Me too. They don't look perfect, but the Brewers have never looked better.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Modano hasn't worn a green or gold jersey in ages. He didn't say the jersey was green or gold. Nitpick fail. How silly of me to assume he meant Dallas' undetectable green and gold trim. Nitpick fail nitpicker. You didn't think maybe he was referring to the main team colors he's worn for 20 years?

Same old championship banner design... Nothin' wrong with that. Plain and dignified, won't appear dated 10 or even 50 years from now.

How would Mario Lemieux wearing the "C" affect jersey sales? I don't know, that's why I ended with a question mark. It was just a guess at the question I posed. Maybe it would make a SWB Lemieux jersey more appealing or authentic with his customary "C"?

The thing I noticed is that they bothered to give him the "C". Why not let the regular guy keep it, for such a one-off appearance--jersey sales? For additional fun, here's a link to the story behind the picture.

is this where we're supposed to look dumb and say "Don't you mean Renaldo Balkman? He has always been on the Knicks as a pro, you idiot"? I thought it was where we completely got off the "legends" topic and started naming guys like Amos Otis and Freddie Patek--and with no pictures, to boot. Can they really be in the "wrong uniform" if we've never heard of them?

I thought the same thing right away when I saw this thread...we've done this before, complete with most of the same examples. I was going to post the same link, but knew people would ignore it.
