  1. Yeah, that was a sad day when they announced that they were. Boston Store has been a downtown staple since before I was born. It's also going to be a very heavy blow to The Shops of Grand Avenue, which is pretty much a glorified food court with a TJ Maxx at the toher end from Boston Store.
  2. Shaddup lol. This looks right to me. He came back "home" and it is the uniform that SET the career home run record in. We have Hank Aaron State Trail here in Milwaukee, and a statue outside of Miller park, and his 44 rightfully hangs on the outfield wall underneath the roof there as well. If it wasn't for those two years here, that doesn't happen.
  3. It looks like a bunch of bowling ball returns to me.
  4. ESPN hasn't been the same since these days anyways.
  5. That would have looked more jarring on natural grass and a dirt infield.
  6. Little Stephen was probably wandering the Bradley Center during this time.
  7. Sweet! And yes they are. My first New Era fitted I bought was the M hat. I had a SnapBack Motre Bame one too. 19 hours ago, bwburke94 said: Here's a great version of that with a little explanation from John Tesh. I love this theme.
  8. That's why I said Year. Plus, at that time both teams already had some sort of alternate. I would have to find photos from every game to figure out the exact amount of games worn per uni.
  9. According to the Mothership, the only Year these two uni's matched up.
  10. I see you there, and raise you with this... Right stadium. Wrong uniform AND position.
  11. Yeah they do! And they have a party suite on the club level themed to that too.
  12. I remember that, btw the pic isn't showing up. I'll try and find it, but yeah speculation was all around that moment. I wouldn't have minded back then. Even though he was the reason we missed the Finals in 2001. Here it is...
  13. I was at that game! Unis looked spectacular on the court!
  14. This whole thread reminds me of this.... And speaking of stadiums, would St. Louis citizens be up for converting the Dome into a pretty big basketball arena for use as an almost permanent Sweet 16™ And semi-regular Final Four™ Venue?
  15. Is there any chance that sigs will be viewable on mobile?
  16. You sure about that? No one is sure what #4 is. I've seen Philadelphia, Toronto, the Bay Area, Washington-Baltimore, Houston, and I think Boston. I find it best to smile and nod. Well for North America, you have to factor in Mexico too. My "research" on metro areas (consisting of a 5-second Wikipedia search) shows: 1 Mexico City 21,163,226 2010 Mexico 2 New York 19,069,796 2010 United States 3 Los Angeles 12,828,837 2010 United States 4 Chicago 9,461,105 2010 United States 5 Dallas-Fort Worth 6,426,214 2010 United States 6 Philadelphia 5,965,343 2010 United States 7 Houston 5,920,416 2010 United States 8 Toronto 5,583,064[1] 2011 Canada 9 Washington 5,582,170 2010 United States 10 Miami 5,564,635 2010 United States Now I have no idea how that translates in to TV Market size, but I don't think that even switching this to "CSMA" would change it much. Philadelphia might jump over Dallas and Toronto could jump a notch too. I didn't realize just how much of Wisconsin isn't very populated. The entire state doesn't even crack that list. Back on topic.... I know I haven't posted in here, but I get what a lot of people are saying about losing teams. It's still very real to Braves fans up here with the hurt from them leaving. When the Brewers play them, it's like a conflict of heart. Everyone that was around then looks back fondly, then it turns to a little hate. As far as the Rams go! I'm happy that they are back in LA. Something about them being in St. Louis never really sat right with me. I think that in a few years it'll be old hat again. And you don't have the Cleveland issue as a franchise is returning. I feel bad for St. Louis fans, coming from a Brewers fan, that says a lot, but we'll save that for the baseball thread lol.
  17. Yeah, it is excusable in the earlier systems. Nintendo, SNES, Genesis with the limited color pallets and who can forget when you had the licensing issues too. City names yes, team names no. Logos, lol I remember Sports Talk Baseball. The Milwaukee logo was some kind of Expos hybrid lol. I will try and find a pic. Anything post X-Box and PS2 is inexcusable, the rendering is so much better. It's more on the R&D department and the artists. I remember NFL 2k5 had a gold alternate for the Packers, I guess because, like the real world today everyone had to have an alternate.
  18. Are you sure about this? I seem to remember the Brewers having the correct font. I know because it would have driven me batty as well. Since All Star Baseball was about as accurate as you could get as far as unis, and I owned them both.
  19. Okay, I haven't posted here yet. Judging by my, screen name, location, and various avatars and sigs, you know who my favorite of all are, but here are a few more that you may not know... Chicago Cubs: My mom was from Illinois, and we had cable when I was growing up, so got WGN too. I would watch Cubs games every afternoon during summer vacation. Harry Carry and Steve Stone along with Bob Uecker will always be the boys of summer to me. But when '98 came around, did times change! Although I did root for them this year, sucks that I did lol. Nashville Pradators, Titans, and Sounds: My brother lives there so I adopted them. What was cool was for the longest time the Sounds were the Triple-A affiliate for the Brewers, so I got to see a game with future Crew members down there. And on the flip side. The Admirals are the Predators AHL affiliate. So there are and we're still local ties there. The Brewers new Triple-A affiliate is Colorado Springs now. Toronto Blue Jays: not because of now, but I always liked there uniforms. And when Paul Molitor, my favorite Brewer signed with them I kinda followed him there too. Minnesota Twins: Can't say a bad word about them or their fans. One of the best friendly rivalries out there. Was great when we were in the AL together and is great now as the "natural inter league" one too!
  20. What is going on with these links just showing up as regular text?
  21. That's all well and good, but blue jays are found all over southern Ontario. So it's not like they needed to change the identity. The blue jay worked, and works, when it comes to having a name with a local connection. You're right too! Good call! It was just one of those moments I had when I realized something. And maybe it also coincided with the loss of the Expos and becoming more of Canada's team. Either way it's cool, cause they kinda did what the Bucks are doing now!
