  1. Notre Dame aligning themselves with the ACC for all sports seems to make sure they'll have an "in" if it comes down to that. I wouldn't be so sure... If we have to get down to four 16-team conferences, of the five major conferences left, three are safe bets (SEC, B1G, PAC) for the final table. That leaves the ACC and B12 fighting over that last spot at the dinner table. Also, it appears that with the B1G moving into the Atlantic, they're looking for 2 more ACC schools (UNC, GA TECH?) to round them into 16. Then you pair that with rumblings that FSU and Clemson are looking to split for either the SEC or B12... And all of a sudden, that leaves the ACC with VA Tech football, Duke basketball, and Big East leftovers. You really think ND will leave football independence for that? It will be interesting to see what happens first: the B1G and SEC getting to 16 (which, odds are, will pick the ACC dry and save the Big 12) or the PAC 12 expanding southward and getting to 16 (which will likely kill the Big 12).
  2. Hearing rumors that this is another step in Jim Delaney's master plan (which I have to imagine is written with crayon in the middle of a Lisa Frank coloring book) of a 16 team super-conference that ends with getting North Carolina into the B10. Going back to rams' point, if this is nothing more than the B10 playing the role of "spurned lover turned arsonist" to Notre Dame, I would be slightly surprised. Don't get me wrong, nothing would make me happier than a 4 super conference alignment with ND freezing out in the cold of football independence, but I'm not sure what Rutgers or Maryland bring to the table outside of being located somewhat near large metropolitan areas. If you ask me, a school like Boston College would be a much better fit than a Rutgers from an academic and athletic tradition standpoint.
  3. Well to add to the Penn Conspiracy, you could look at how: 1- Spanier asked the state open records law not to include Penn State. 2- Sara Ganim (a PSU graduate) went on CBS's "Face The Nation" and called Penn State, "the Kremlin" in terms of getting information. However, the McMartin Trial turned out to not be what it was called out to be and there also was a story. And there was a much bigger headline in 1989 which became to be false. You could even interpret something like the President of the university jumping on the NCAA's offer so quickly it doesn't even go to a trustee vote as a sign that there's something else at play here (if you wanted to). I'm far from a conspiracy theorist, and I haven't yet (and really don't want to) spent the time to figure what fits and what doesn't, I just think this whole thing has been really strange from very beginning and I wouldn't be shocked to find out it's not done yet. But, like admiral said, I tend to believe this is more than "just four people." People who are this sick usually surround themselves with others who are in the same mold...
  4. Something still isn't right here. Ok, follow my thinking for a minute. If PSU knew about the alleged incidents involving Sandusky back in '98, why not just come out with it? Just turn the pervert in, wash your hands of it, and go back to being Penn State. Sure, your reputation would take a hit, but you could play the "shocked and appalled" card and get the media and press on your side and move along relatively quickly. (And no, I don't believe "fear of JoePa" is enough reason for starting a university-wide cover-up). It doesn't add up... ...UNLESS, PSU knew that if they came out with it then, people will start digging into the story and find that this goes much deeper than Jerry Sandusky. Or, at the very least, Sandusky had some real juicy dirt back then on some pretty important people... There's too much smoke here for my liking... You see a DA who vanished into thin air. You read stuff like this: http://gratewire.com/topic/sandusky-scandal-tied-to-philly-pedophile-network... Unfortunately, I think this may go way, way deeper than anyone realized.
  5. Why make a donation to the people who are going to own you in the lawsuits? They'll be getting plenty in due time...
  6. I'm curious to hear your reasoning why Tampa Bay and Carolina have "proven" themselves as productive hockey cities while Anaheim and NY Islanders are contraction fodder. Please elaborate.
  7. It would be great if you share your templates. The former one that was just a promise and never happened, and this one -which is also great-. If all you want is to show us that you are the greatest photoshop and Cinema 4D guru, you have accomplished that, no problem, but again, It would be great if you share your templates with common people like me, just good enough in photoshop. Cheers.
  8. Huh? When did Morgo turn into Lights Out?
  9. I'll be releasing the sig template in the next few weeks... hang tight!

  10. A shame most of the faculty and coaches involved in this don't have half the integrity of that young man.
  11. See, that's the problem... waiting for "them to come" is what got baseball into this mess. The Rays need to move to an area with demonstrated baseball interest. I know that the Vancouver Canadians have drawn really well since they were brought back in 2000... maybe it's time to give that market a shot at the major leagues. Please tell me you realized that was a reference to Field of Dreams.
  12. simple but requires illustrator: 1. take your logo. 2. draw a square around it and place your logo in the respective corner, depending upon how you want it to curve. in this case, i would like it to curve up and to the left away from the camera so it goes top left. group the objects 3. apply warp>fisheye until satisfied. by moving the square about behind the logo you can achieve the correct perspective by adjusting in real time. 4. expand the whole group, delete the square, et voila. and thats how you warp your logo. youll have to hand draw your stripes, but its really not that difficult. use the pen tool and adjust to fit. fd Appreciate all the templates and the tutorial. I'm attempting to warp a logo I have in illustrator per the instructions above. I actually did it with my first attempt. But now I can't get by a certain point. I apply the fisheye to image, but when I "delete the square", it removes the fisheye from the image. I have tried "ungrouping" the image and square first but this also removes the fisheye. How do I delete the square without removing the fisheye from the image? Thanks! You have to select Object>Expand Appearance THEN delete the square.
  13. Also, I recently bought a Detroit Vipers jersey so I'm not looking, but this is truly an amazing jersey, if not only for the person who wore it has the best name a hockey player could ever have... Jeff Winstanley.
  14. Accidentally stumbled over this while browsing eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com/Wheeling-Nailers-Thunderbirds-hockey-jersey-/260790272613?pt=U_Hockey_Fan_Shop&hash=item3cb84fc265
  15. 1994/95 Detroit Tigers Batting Practice Jersey
  16. I firmly believe that this is the best jersey the Mighty Ducks have ever worn:
  17. Me too. I also love the original Nashville Predators 3rd Jersey. That shade of mustard was insanely cool and the 3D cat looked great on the front.
  18. I'm looking for some Flash help, so I'll see if I can get any help here. Currently I'm developing a Flash website/portfolio for myself, but I've run into an issue. I would like to use transparent backgrounds on my logos (which are .png format), but every time I try to implement the transparent images into the site they get a black background. Does anyone know any coding tips on how to allow for transparent images in Flash sites? So you know what I am referring to.

  20. Oh, I don't care... please don't waste your valuable time. I was just hoping to point out something that you may/may not have meant to do. last render i did was a three bar mate. did you get all the render layers i emailed yesterday? ahh, I tried to respond as soon as I could, but I guess you beat me to it... and yes, I got all the PSDs.. I haven't been able to give much more than a fleeting glance at it now, but I plan to spend some time studying it this weekend... Thanks so much!

  22. Hey Fraser... I think you have one too many vertical bars in your template's face mask. You have 4 bars while it is actually 3.... Now you may have based it off of another facemask design... (I'm guessing here) ...but because of some of the views you have used it hid it just enough so it wasn't noticeable.
