  1. I think a better, or at least more-interesting way to phrase this would be most "characterless" jerseys. Which team's uniform most abandoned the charm/aesthetic of it's team (or city.) To me, the Dallas Stars mid 2000s jerseys is the most glaring example. Going from the NorthStars classic ID - to the updated relocation- to the All-Star jersey...to a bad college rip off, and worse making their gold a flat khaki. I'll always see them not rebranding as the Lone Stars (irony of the plural of that aside) a major miss. But the 2000's "blandification" is just plain lazy and bad branding. The Sonics rebrand before they left is also on that list. The jerseys are...okay. The logos and typefaces are an absolute disaster, and such an utter downgrade from anything prior.
  2. Way too much white on the Navy ones. What is the hierarchy of colors? I assume white is 4th...so thats weird.
  3. Haha, nice work on these. Really capture the shackles-off feeling sublimation brought uniform production.
  4. So...nearly every primary in baseball?
  5. The Vikings uniform is fantastic. But they have the benefit of a unique color palette and a proud period of success to draw from.
  6. I always wait to see the full presentation, but this looks like a design-by-committee frankendesign. I really wish Nike released more behind-the-scenes unused designs, just so we can rightfully blame the teams' management for meddling. Hey, its their money. But Its refreshing when marketing management just trusts creative after turning over a thorough brief, but this is the eternal struggle for corporate design.
  7. I'm so glad they made Target Field open air. It may cause a few headaches in April, but its a gorgeous park. Can't wait for summer to get here.
  8. I hated them. But I’ll live. I need them to surprise me with another Full Banana. And I liked the Goldy helmet. Almost everyone that’s a gopher fan did. Too much white on the Maroon, don’t like Anthracite, and get yellow into the the white helmet. the oars...in knew they were coming. The white helmet has the seamless number pattern with the oars and the mariner star in the oar in black...really odd choice. but I like that it’s not as over the top as I thought. The knee-jerk hyperbole will subside, they aren’t nearly as bad as everyone is chiming in on. As much as I love a good LAbolt pileon.
  9. Glad you explained this because before you did I wasn’t seeing the connection. Great alternate!
  10. Awesome Series. Florida, Buffalo, Columbus, Calgary and Tampa my favs.
  11. Really looking forward to that 2021 authentic, sponsored by Sesame Street, and the letter L.
  12. Who was the sleeper cell Adidas designer that snuck over to Nike? Or is Hockey so far down their radar they're letting Phil's "Woke" Nephew design these from his luxurious dormroom. Holy crap, i'm old now. Still, these are Burning ButtTrash.
  13. I dig em. Copying the Steelers is look we're accustomed to, but is hardly too iconic to tinker with. I bet this is generally well-received outside of here. Yes it's a bit "paint-by-numbers" pro combat alt, but it's nice to see Iowa mix it up. I love the use of yellow.
  14. Much prefer Michigan in the yellow pants they are wearing tonight. Really highlights that these are the best white jerseys they've had since at least the early 90s.
  15. 95 I think. Year after they won it with the shadow throwbacks. I miss these. Not for the 49ers, but these were fantastic jerseys.
  16. Matchy-Matchy... you mean...Uniform? (I actually totally agree with you, and like when they have a little personality. I just had to take the shot.)

    NHL 2017-18

I applaud the attempt to be restrained, and feature yellow. However this rebranding reeks of upper management choosing a toothless compromise of what the creative team was probably pitching.
  18. I'm a gophers fan and that is fricking adorable.
  19. Yeah. MN needs zero white on their uniforms.
  20. Gophers Matte/Satin helmet days may be over- but who knows. Fleck has said new unis next year - I expect many helmets this year
