  1. I really like the look of team specific ugly Christmas sweaters with the snowflakes, Reindeer and other Christmas related imagery but I could never justify spending the 80 dollars for something I'm only going to wear one month a year. So I decided to use my photoshop knowledge to make ugly Christmas sweater themed wallpapers for my friends and I. Here are some I've made so far let me know your thoughts.
  2. Not exactly sure where to post this. I recreated (to the best of my ability) the NBA championship banners they hang on the stadiums. This should actually be a thing in this site. Just reply if you have any corrections. To hell with wordmarks. Enjoy.
  3. Let's just take a look at each team's first attempt at adding an alternate jersey and choose the best (or worst): Celtics: Clippers: Hornets/Pelicans: Wizards: Bulls: Cavaliers: Mavericks: Nuggets: Pistons: Pacers: Heat: Bucks: Lakers: Timberwolves: Jazz: Nets: Knicks: Magic: Warriors: Suns: Blazers: Kings: Spurs: Rockets: Sonics/Thunder: Raptors: Hawks: Grizzlies: Bobcats/Hornets: Sixers:
  4. Concept basketball league. Anyone can upload teams until i feel we have enough teams. start off with just a logo or logo package. Teams can be anywhere in North America.
  5. Hi, I am a first time designer and logo creator. I wanted to design a brand to use for my school's basketball logos. I did some research on this site, as well as others and Google, and came up with my ideas. I used Photoshop to create these and although I do not have much experience with the program, but I think that the logos came out well. Our main colors are royal and white, with grey and black serving as accents, and I tried to incorporate each color into the logos. I would appreciate it if you readers would review my logo designs and give me constructive criticism so that I may make the logos perfect. The blue basketball with white outline and a grey "C" in the middle would serve as the alternate logo for the basketball team. The "C" stands for the city of Columbus and the name of my high school. The grey basketball surrounded by the white "C" in the blue circle would serve as a throwback logo. I was going for a Seattle Supersonics type look, referencing their white "S", yellow basketball, green circle alternate. Thank you for your time and constructive criticism. (ALL LOGOS ARE PROPERTY OF nstevens0 AND ARE FOR MY USE ONLY)
  6. AHL Outdoor Classic (Whale Bowl 2010/2011)
  7. Hey Please check out my latest Ben Simmons Identity concept and give any feedback necassary! https://www.behance.net/gallery/42758743/Ben-Simmons-Nike-Identity-Concept
  8. I made a graphic, to touch on the idea of the 2017 NBA All Star Weekend to come to Indianapolis, Indiana. I added another one that actually features the NBA logo in the graphic.
  9. Let me start by saying I have got this idea from both the NFL and NHL alternate universe threads. In 1976, the National and American Basketball Association reached a merger agreement, with four ABA teams (San Antonio Spurs, Indiana Pacers, Denver Nuggets, and New York Nets) joining the NBA. However, both the Kentucky Colonels and St Louis Spirits were both told that they would receive a spot in the NBA - but they didn't. What if the NBA did honor their agreement with Kentucky and St Louis, and they added 6 new teams into the league? I will not be doing a yearly standings, but will state the champions. I present to you an alternate universe. (My phone is almost dead, so I won't post any designs now)
  10. This is my first ever attempt at creating a logo using a computer program, so take it easy on me. I really, really do not like the Rockets current identity and I think its the weakest in the NBA (just ahead of OKC). That being said, I really love their old logos and colors, so I wanted to go with a retro yet modern design. C+C appreciated!
  11. Got into a discussion at work about various sports and their standard or non-standard playing surfaces. Specifically, in North American sports football, basketball and hockey all have identical measurements from one field/court to another. Soccer and baseball do not. Yes, I realize there's a difference between leagues (see: NFL vs CFL) but there is not a difference between teams in those leagues. The field measurements for the Cowboys and Steelers are identical. Or the Tiger Cats and Bombers. But they are very much NOT the same for the Yankees and Red Sox. Why is that? Does it offer more/better home field advantages in the sports where teams get to pick their own field size? Just interested to hash it out and get some folks' opinions.
  12. Here is an NBL Australia court concept. All concepts use Darth Brook's basketball court template. The first team is the Adelaide 36ers. I opted not to use their current logo and to use the Los Che 2014 font and "create" a logo. Next is the Cairns Taipans I used a horizontal line pattern to add uniqueness to the Taipans court. The logo is a small modification of their current wordmark.
  13. Hey there, I have developed a new concept for the Phoenix Suns identity. It's clearly just a concept so not even close to an entire identity scheme, but the primary logo is pretty much developed. It's a clear tribute to a couple of my loves: Modernism as a style of graphic design (even if with a contemporary twist) and the Seattle Supersonic (yes, the design take the lead from the same structure of the Sonics classic logo). To maintain the connection with the present, I kept the two primary colours the franchise is using right now, black and orange. However, this is something I would like to experiment more in the next few days. Let me know what you guys think, any feedback appreciated. Cheers,
  14. I just created these Utah Jazz Jersey Designs to go with there new logos. I am aware that there are already official Jerseys, but this is what I wish Utah chooses to wear if they decide to redesign. Tell me your thoughs?

  16. Hey Guys! Today I have a concept for the Pittsburgh Condors basketball team. I'm a big fan of Pittsburgh sport teams and think they can expand to other sports, like the NBA. I wanted to pick a team name that had some history in the city. I chose the ABA's 1970-72 Pittsburgh Condors. Previously known as the Pipers. The logos I've designed mirrors the city of champions with the good old Black and Gold. I went with Wing-Theme to be slightly different from the Hawks and Pelicans. With the basketball logo, I had to give a nod to the ABA Condors so they are not completely forgotten. ( Although their logo should ) Hope you like this one! ABA 1970-1972 Logo: NBA Pittsburgh Condors 2017 Logo: C&C Welcome!

  20. Hey I made this Grizzlies court revamp please don't judge all the white spaces because I made it on a iPad.The brands on the side are brands voted by British Columbia.
  21. A few days ago, I finally decided to join the boards after lurking for months. After seeing both the AFA and PHL, I was inspired to create a fictional basketball league. However, I have no Photoshop or Illustrator skills, so I am doing this hand-drawn with colored pencils. This league starts in 1947, and is the first organized basketball league since the war. I will not include logos in this series, and the main reason for that is because I am horrible at drawing animals. The inaugural 10 teams are: Cleveland Bulldogs, New York Knights, Washington Eagles, Pittsburgh Smokies, Richmond Steamers, Philadelphia Colonels, Boston Minutemen, Baltimore Admirals, Chicago Lions, and the Detroit Warriors. I am looking for feedback and criticism so I can not only show off my personal league, but get help on my drawing.
  22. Hi guys sorry to be a burden and ask for one more thing but im looking for template for the sports i listed in the tags thanks!
  23. so, 2 thoughts inspire this thingy could i 'paper doll' a line of NBA legends in illustrator & the weirdness of the 80-81 topps set. 3 players random players on a card and you were seriously meant to rip the cards apart! no rhyme or reason here. sometimes the year is a career highlight.... or maybe when i think they just looked the coolest. ill try to be as accurate as possible with the unis and dudes. part of the fun is sleuthing out references to making vector logos from scratch off of an memorabilia auction photo, to figuring out some dudes hairline, to making sure what color Dr.J's knee brace was in 1976.... shoutout to blase!
  24. https://twitter.com/SmithRaps/status/720036366902542336 This must be a Toronto thing because the Jays like unveiling banners during the post-season too. I prefer this, tbh then waiting until the following year to unveil it. Also if you end up winning more than one, it gives fans something to look at.
