  1. The Lions are another team getting new uniforms for the 2024 season. My interest is one that is commonly shared amongst those who have created Lions uniform concepts, which is the look that they dawned during the 70s, 80s, and 90s. Modernizing retro looks and combining history with the present is my go-to style, and the Lions have a brand that I believe could thrive with something like this. As always, I love hearing feedback and other interests/ideas that are out there! Here is a summary of the changes from the current look. Helmet - Updated the stripe (pants as well) to a blue/white/blue pattern - Changed the facemask color from silver to Honolulu Blue (I think a metallic version would look sharp) Numbers - Used the current font with an increased width - Changed the outline color from dark gray to white on the home jersey Sleeves - Removed the "Lions" wordmark and the current WCF logo from the sleeves - Added trim to the stripe pattern Logos - Added a slightly modified WCF logo to the front of the jersey (Stripes in the logo are angled to match the numbers and wordmark) - Added the "One Pride" slogan to the inside of the jersey collar Primary Home & Away
  2. This is the latest iteration of a project that I've been working on for quite some time. I've never completely finished it, for one reason or another. Anyway, this is my vision of what the league could look like if it was Nike that had the exclusive contract with the league rather than Reebok followed by Adidas. The jersey template is based on pre-2014 Nike designs, so no flywire collars. Those look stupid. (No longer true as of the 2022 iteration of this project - the template is now based on the 2022 jerseys.) Following the real-life example of Nike and the NBA, every team will have four jerseys. However, they won't follow the same pattern as the NBA, i.e., teams can wear whichever jerseys they want whenever they want. The Nike NHL teams have one dark home jersey, one light road jersey, one dark alternate jersey and one light alternate jersey. Teams still wear dark colors at home and light colors on the road. Anyway, on with the show. NEW TEMPLATE Western Conference Pacific Division (8/8 primaries done, 8/8 alternates done, 3/? Heritage done, 1/? 3. With the rumors about new Seahawks uniforms for 2024, I figured I might as well take a stab on what I think these could look like based on the detailed rumors. Maybe this could serve as a starting point for the direction we all feel a new set of Seahawks uniforms should go. Let's find out! (Throwback set to follow) Primary Home & Away
  4. Just a little update to what I think is already a solid uniform set. Following the modern throwback trend and added a slick design element to the stripes of the sleeves, which I envision being some sort of subtle, shiny material that stands out but doesn't take over. Love to hear thoughts!
  5. With word that the Houston Texans plan on unvieling their new uniforms this April, I decided to give it a go. I actually like the Texans brand and I don't hate their current set, so I kept the changes minimal. That being said, I think minimal changes can go a long way for this team with the right approach. Also excited to hear that the light blue color will be returning in some capacity! Of course I had to incorporate it, but I left it subtle... for now. Enjoy! Primary Home & Away
  6. Why hello there everyone its me Bass. Today marks the first post in a what if scenario that came into my head when I was just thinking one day.... you see Arena Football may of bitten the dust in the US ((Don't really count China's league per say because China doesn't exist in Football in general)) but considering the whole Amateurism in the NCAA is now officially over and athletes can now be sponsored again, the NCAA realised that they are in legit trouble. This has not stopped the penny pinchers from considering Arena Football as a means of retaining control and that is what they did... today is the start of what if the NCAA brought back Arena Football? PREMISE The rules of College Arena Football is essentially the same as Arena Football... a reduced squad, smaller venues and more importantly no FBS teams... all of them including the independent teams turned down this idea because they all thought it was a hot fad and another league rejecting Arena Football is the Ivy League... those stuck up pricks laughed at the idea... Teams accepting this are Non D1 schools, D1-AA schools (FCS) and a mixture of D2 and D3 schools as not all of them can afford the reduced rates. There will be 256 teams in 16 divisions of 16, 4 in each region... divided into East, North, South and West.... top 2 of each region advances to a elimination bracket where all roads then eventually will lead to Las Vegas. The following divisions are as follows: New England, Apple, Capitol, Atlantic, Great Lakes, Wolverine, Great Plains, Ohio Valley, Southeast, Coast, Gulf, Lone Star, Southwest, Rockies, California and Pacific. The first team today takes us to the New England division where it consists of Maine, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont... all of the Northeast States and this first team is literally the latter: VERMONT CATAMOUNTS
  7. Inspired by actual Club Football which is where the likes of Vermont and Milwaukee still exist with names such as Pitt and Ohio State, the idea I figured was essentially bring in around a minimum of 12-16 teams from the North region and the South region (like USFL) but have a mixture so it's not just big names... so I figure I would start off with a team that refused to go into Arena Football but was essentially coaxed into this league by backers who wanted to see a long standing rivalry re-establish themselves... We begin with a side known for their multiple claimed national titles. YALE BULLDOGS Yale has prestige, has class, has arrogance... essentially one of the older clubs that are entertained by the idea of a league that goes up against their old foes but also big clubs as well. There will be no teams from the West in this.
  8. HELLO EVERYONE! I am Exceed Idiot, currently a college student and hobbyist graphic designer (which is probably why a lot of my designs are bad :[ ). As a fan of Indian sports and Asian sports in general, I just wanted to create a series set in the future where Asia has developed well in various (especially India). The first league I'll start with is Pro Liga India, which is a football league. This series has been inspired by PascalHugo 's Alternate Football Universe series. I chose this one first because the Indian Football pyramid will finally completely enable promotion and relegation in the 25/26 so I thought what else would be a better time to rebrand and completely restructure Indian football as a whole, especially since it would be the 25th anniversary and a World Cup year in 2050. In this Universe where I have become God , here is what I have done: Turned the football pyramid into a closed 4-tier structure, with 5th,6th and zonal divisions happening after 2060 or so. Started off with 70 teams in 2025, 74 in 2030, 80 in 2035 and finally 84 from 2040 and onwards. 35 of the 84 teams are brand new clubs, with some of the real teams getting rebranded while others retain their identities. Various brand new stadia and rivalries (once I master Blender and drawing, I'll post stadiums here too). Made 50+1 mandatory for all clubs. (No full control for Man City over Mumbai City anymore). Have the league get a streaming service with the other leagues of the series where the league gets the subscription fees and ad revenue directly and equally distributed among clubs.
  9. Welcome to my version of the No Fun League National Football League, where every team will look (what I think) their best possible. There are some ground rules before we begin: Socks must contrast the pants. No exceptions. No straight throwbacks. Something (even if minor, as we'll see with the first team) must be different from previous looks. That includes classic teams like the Bears, Packers, Raiders, Cowboys, ans so on. The model player will be that team's QB unless he doesn't wear a double-digit number. Everyone is free to voice their opinions, whether constructive or critical. I'll try to keep up with suggestions, but I'll be going by my pace. Don;t be disappointed if I don't immediately post your suggestion; I will eventually get to it. With that being said, lets begin with our first team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Sure, the Bucs have spent most of their recent history in pewter, but their "creamsicle" look stands out to me, and we need more teams with bright color schemes. Bright orange and red screams tropical Florida, and for a team named after a bay, it just looks right. The Bucs signature logo gets a creamsicle color swap, but remains the same design-wise. The basic design of the throwbacks are the same, but I brought back the orange pants they wore for a few years as an option. Instead of a bland gray facemask, the cage is now red. A new red alternate is added, but I chose orange numbers to distingush them from their Super Bowl opponent Kansas City.
  10. Hi everyone, I have recently started a new project where I have made it a goal of mine to combine all of the sports logos from NHL, NBA, NFL and MLB (and at times MLS) from all of the major cities in the U.S. and Canada to create a singular city logo. I know this has been done countless times before but the way my designs stand out is they are more cohesive. They feel less like something was Frankenstein'd together and can almost act as a standalone logo. Consider this the definitive collection. I say this with confidence because they were all composed in Adobe Illustrator with linework redone to make the designs more seamless, images rendered in crisp high resolution quality, each one taking several hours of work and trial and error and the cherry on top of the cake is that I own my own print shop so I can make stickers and shirts out of these designs. It's a true passion project for me. My journey began when I was first getting serious about graphic design, the summer right before I enrolled at DePaul in 2013. I created a mashup of all the Chicago logos because I wanted my own version of it. All the variations I had seen online did not do the city justice and I wanted something genuinely more badass that wouldn't look cheesy. I dubbed it "The Chicago Beast". It was cool for a few years and then I sort of forgot about it - well in 2019 I decided to take another crack at it and make a wildly popular rendition of this logo mashup combination - you may have seen it online (I made a North Side - Cubs and a South Side - White Sox version. Both featured elements of the Blackhawks, Bears and Bulls. I have made slightly different variations - some including the 6 star Chicago flag and others with different color arrangements. Fast forward to 2021 - A whole year of the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown had me yearning for another creative project that I can do for fun. I decided - why not give every city this same treatment? And so I did - "Major League Remix" (#MajorLeagueRemix). I will be posting the designs in this thread and would love some feedback! While I do consider these designs to be 'complete', as a true designer, I know there is always room for improvement, especially since teams change logos frequently. A few things to note (ground rules) for my concepts: They don't necessarily have to use the entire design of the logo in the mashup. They can be as little or as much as possible - the only rule is they have to look cohesive and make sense - no Frankenstein work! I often use past versions of team logos although I try to use the current ones as much as I can. This is because my goal is to make the logo look good, and if I use the core logo, it may not look the best. I have struggled a lot to piece some of these together because of the lack of uniqueness, clean design or symmetry so I have had to resort to alternates. Colors are fair game - as long as they are pulled directly from within the color palette of the city's sports logos. They all have a white border with rounded corners for consistency and also to set them up for sticker printing. That is all! I am so glad to be a part of this awesome forum - I can't think of a more perfect place to post this kind of work on the internet. If you want to follow me on social media - I am @DeluxeGraphicSupply on Instagram and Facebook. My website is also DeluxeGraphicSupply.com Chicago Bulls x Bears x Blackhawks x White Sox
  11. With the Season about to start, I figured now would be a good time to finally finish restart my long awaited 32-team NBA project. Going in order isn't going to be possible for me, so I'm going to post these as I gain ideas for them. Starting with...the Detroit Pistons. I always liked the 2002 recolor of the 90's teal horse logo for Detroit. It actually has some character to it, other than the plain red/blue basketball that we've seen different variations of. THis time around, I'm removing the navy, going full red/blue/silver. Now for the Uniforms. Association/Icon: I brought the recolored horse-head wordmark to the front of the jerseys (just like the 90's Grant Hill-era), I swapped the stripe colors back to normal, and the number gets the logo treatment with the outline. "DP" goes on the shorts leg, while the horse-ball goes on the waistband. Statement: I brought back the fan-beloved red alternate. It's a simple recolor, really, but the fans adored it, so back in the rotation it goes. City: For as much flak as the pistons get for their "Motor City" alternates (especially on these boards), It is an actual nickname for the city. Silver, mostly used for trim on the main jerseys, becomes the base. The stripes bring back the teal, gold, and red of the Grant Hill-era, while black and gold go on the wordmark & numbers. The waistband, shorts trim, and neckline are half teal/half red, corresponding with the nearest stripe. And the new courts: Main: Nothing spectacular, just placing the recolored logo on the current court. City: Old 90's logo returns to center court, with "Motor City" in the mid-range area.
  12. I do pub trivia and drafted a sort of "visual identity" for our team, The Greyhounds. Colors come from the mixed drink of the same name (vodka -> grey; grapefruit -> pink and orange). As a bar trivia team, my first attempt was a Drunken Greyhound Trivia King. I went so far as to 3-D print and "enamel" into a pin. Team thought that was a little too silly, though, so I tried for a more "regal" greyhound: Which I eventually worked into a soccer style crest: The custom typeface and diamond pattern are a nod to the German-influenced bar we play trivia at. Per Scientiam Vincimus tranlsates to "Through Knowledge we Conquer" Like I said, probably spent too much time on this. Any thoughts?
  13. The news of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers updating their absolutely terrible uniforms has gotten my creative juices flowing to create something new for the 2020 season. The Bucs have had two great color schemes in their history. Both the creamsicle/red and the pewter/red/orange color schemes were truly inspired and the original Jolly Roger logo is damn near perfect. There is a rich visual history to draw inspiration from for a new uniform and logo package. With the relative futility of the franchise for the last 20 years in the pewter and red, I thought it was time to move on to a third era of color for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The new color scheme features their trademark pewter, but the color has been tweaked to be less brown and more gray. It is paired with the current shade of creamsicle orange and a color I’m calling Bone White, an ever so slightly creamy white (I know @BucsBoy02 has a great concept here too that uses cream, but I swear the idea came up independently, not trying to piggyback on his ideas). The new logo takes a lot of inspiration from the skull and crossed-swords of the original Jolly Roger flag. I made some tweaks of my own to freshen it up a bit, but that logo is great, IMO and it doesn’t need a ton of work. The biggest change I made was removing the flag all together. I think the Skull and Crossed-Bones is great on its own as a primary logo. I also designed a custom word mark and numeral font with some design cues taken from a classic pirate cutlass. The uniforms are pretty straightforward. Orange and white never touch and the pants and sleeves feature a striping motif based on the swords from the logo. I wanted to keep the uniforms simple to let the bold colors speak for themselves without being interrupted by intricate striping patterns. It is difficult to communicate in a flat presentations such as this, but the helmet is intended to have a high gloss metallic finish. I also included both grey and orange socks to avoid the dreaded yoga pants situation where the pants match the top of the socks. Thanks for taking the time to have a logo and I’m looking forward to any and all feedback on the logo, colors and uniforms.
  14. Here, I'll be posting a few NFL concept uniforms I've created over the years. Pretty simple stuff. I'm relativley new to the digital design, so if you have any constructive criticisms or suggestions, be sure to let me know.
  15. I'm trying to create a team concept associated with the Union from the American Civil War Besides Yankees or Yanks, what other examples do we have? What can be some names for Union themes and what city or state could I base the team on?
  16. Going off of my MLB uniform concepts (which can be seen at this link https://boards.sportslogos.net/topic/121809-mlb-uniform-tweaks-andor-designs/#comments), I decided to do something a bit different, and create concepts for old MLB teams that have since moved away, using the Wikipedia template. I'm only doing MLB teams that have moved since the first World Series was played in 1903, and furthermore, I am only doing the team's original city (so no Milwaukee Braves or Kansas City Athletics). There are a total of eight teams that meet this criteria, and they are the Boston Braves, Brooklyn Dodgers, Montréal Expos, New York Giants, Philadelphia Athletics, Seattle Pilots, St. Louis Browns, and the Washington Senators (both incarnations of the franchise are merged into one concept). These concepts will be uploaded alphabetically, starting with the city name. Please, just give me your thoughts on them. Thank you!
  17. The Buffalo All-Americans were an early powerhouse of the NFL. During their first seasons they legitimately had reason to think of themselves as the best team in the league. If you look for the Buffalo All-Americans logo, you're going to have a difficult time. This is not their logo. It's from a different Buffalo team, one from the AAFC, in 1946. This is not their logo. It was drawn by Bob Carroll, the late executive director of the Professional Researchers Association. He evidently never found a logo and drew this to fill the need. I did find one thing, from a facebook page devoted to Buffalo sports. Evidently this was on the Buffalo All-American's letterhead. Where did it come from? Whoever drew it wasn't drawing from life, American Bison don't look like that. Something about it looked familiar, as if I had seen it before. It had to come from a book, probably a book of sketches, written before 1920. It took some research but I found this, It came from a book called American pictures drawn with pen and pencil By Rev. Samuel Morrison https://babel.hathitrust.org/cgi/pt?id=uc2.ark:/13960/t8gf0nk9n&view=1up&seq=42 . I'm not sure he had ever seen a Buffalo in real life. I did a drawing based on the two illustrations, trying to keep what I could but also make something useful. Which led to these two, Neither of which I was happy with. BTW, Buffalo's colors were black, and orange. The uniforms weren't bad but I ended up using a double-A logo instead of the Buffalo. That's where it sat for most of two years as i did other stuff. Then I got sick. While I was undergoing treatment for Hodgkin's Lymphoma I didn't feel like doing a damn thing. After the treatment, I got into a weird situation where I was feeling better but still wasn't able to go back to work. So I started to go back over old projects. I had a bunch of art on Deviantart but decided to move it. DA was convenient and well laid out but not something you want to put on a resume. Artstation was what I decided on. I couldn't upload the psd's but I could upload complete categories of stuff. When it was time to redo Buffalo I went back to the old drawing. The logo needed to be cleaner, with shapes that were more easy to make out. So I got out the pencil again and drew this, I traced that in flexisign, a program similar to coreldraw or illustrator. Then made some variants to see what looked best. I kept trying to simplify the design down. and finally settled on this. Which I'm happy with and probably never change. The revised uniform looks like this, Thoughts?
  18. North American Collegiate Athletics (NACA) Hockey Concepts In this thread I will be adding my concepts for (made up) colleges and their hockey teams. This is going to be a long project I imagine and so far I only have a couple teams complete but I plan on making somewhere between 20-50 (maybe more?) teams across North America (not just the US) which will populate multiple 'conferences' or divisions. I also plan on making peripheral graphics for league logos, etc. SOME SCHOOLS MAY SHARE NAMES WITH REAL LIFE SCHOOLS BUT THEY ARE NOT MEANT TO BE ASSOCIATED IN ANY WAY. THESE ARE ALL FICTIONAL CONCEPTS. My main goal for all these teams is to create a unique brand based around non-traditional mascots/ team names and color schemes! Central American Conference Eagle County College V2 Goodwell Christian V2 Wyoming State V2 Greywood College Deseret Montana Valley (Coming Soon) Alberta Agricultural (Coming Soon) Sun Conference Florida at Three Lakes V2 Central Louisiana V2 Carolina Atlantic Great Pacific Conference American Aerospace Seattle Eastern American Hockey Conference Massachusetts Technological Boston Institute UMass North (Coming Soon) Portland (MN) (Coming Soon) Hartford College (Coming Soon) Forrest College (Coming Soon) Lancaster (Coming Soon) Catskills (Coming Soon) Hockeyland Conference Midwestern (Coming Soon) Milwaukee (Coming Soon) North Star (Coming Soon) Lakes (Coming Soon) St. Clair (Coming Soon) Quad Cities (Coming Soon) Pine State (Coming Soon) MORE TO COME! (HOPEFULLY) I'm also playing with the idea of creating uniforms for more than just hockey for each school, but let me not get ahead of myself.
  19. Introduction and First Concept Recently I've gotten back into design, especially sports design, and I've been really trying to come up with some unusual or interesting team names, concepts, brands, etc. This is something I started to do and explore with NACA concepts (my mostly defunct? project. IDK I may continue or revamp it someday) but felt kind of limited by the University angle I put on myself. So, upon returning I decided not to tie myself to any constraints except to do something a little out of left field for each concept and brand. With all that being said, this thread may eventually turn into one where I dump a bunch of kind of 'wacky' sports concepts or it may just be a couple. EDIT: This thread has ended up being a lot longer and more complex than I had originally planned so I'm gonna hijack my first concept and create a contents page on this reply. Contents Hockey Concepts Gulf Coast Mavericks Morgantown Druids Montreal Patriotes El Paso Desiertos & Houston Spacehawks New Orleans Specters Cleveland Cavalry Mississippi Marsh Monsters Tahoe Lake Tigers New York Ferrymen Charleston Colliers Halifax Expedition Nunavut Nanook Great Falls Grizzlies American Football Concepts Chicago Butchers Baseball Concepts Idaho Komets Without further adieu I present the first concept; the Gulf Coast Mavericks. Explanation It's a lot I know, but the general idea is a team that subverts the name maverick, usually represented by a horse/ mustang, and instead refers to the Maverick of Top Gun fame and then riffing off that idea. Obviously, the character isn't supposed to directly reference Tom Cruise as Maverick but instead a sort of amalgam of 80s action heros and 'cool guys'. My initial idea was to place the team in the Florida panhandle near Tallahassee or Pensacola as there is a relatively large airbase near there that I forget the name of and this acts as another tie in to the Top Gun sort of aesthetic. I think this also fits in nicely with the color scheme which could also be interpreted as a sunrise or set which works very well for a Florida based team. I'm currently working on jersey sets to go with this brand, and while I feel I'm mostly finished I think I'm gonna work on them a bit more before posting them. Also I might chop and change the way in which this stuff is presented because I know one long scroll of images isn't particularly interesting. In the meantime I'd love to hear any criticisms and/or general feedback you guys have for these designs and the brand as a whole. I know gradients can be a little overpowering but I think it works for the whole faux 80s/ 'over-the-top' aesthetic! Ultimately these concepts are meant to be fun and light and explore some more relatively unexplored ideas in the sports world.
  20. Hey guys. Been looking at the Dolphins for too long and flinching at the most boring uniform in the NFL. To top it off they had the worst downgrade of a logo (IMO). Thought I’d have a go at attacking the logo. I wanted to pay homage to the original and specifically the 90s/00s angry dolphin. I tried to keep the colours more in keeping with the Miami, South Beach vibes. I was reluctant to go too pastel so stuck with the bright colour palette with a deeper red/orange and a brighter aqua. Noting Miami’s link to Art Deco I wanted to make the ‘M’ sharper and more Art Deco. The sun burst also takes inspiration from sun burst mirror frames and sculptures from the 20s. Of note, I prefer the leaping dolphin over the new swimming dolphin. However, I didn’t want to make it a complete rehash of the previous logo. Let me know what you think. Uniforms and wordmark coming soon. Cheers guys.
  21. For this series, I plan on redesigning all of the basketball courts in the B1G while drawing some inspiration from the boundary-pushing NBA courts of recent years that have introduced unique wood patterns (Grizzlies, Nets, Hornets). Indiana Hoosiers - Assembly Hall The Hoosiers replace their standard wood pattern for a candy striped chevron pattern while maintaining the classic paint scheme. Rutgers Scarlet Knights - "The RAC" The State University of New Jersey blends past and present by bringing back the parquet pattern inside the three point lines. The baselines and sidelines are exaggerated, similar to the Raptors', and create a striping pattern that calls back to the piping of the 1983 team.
  22. In late November of 2021, The New Jersey Devils released their first ever third jersey in the franchise’s history. Although I like the design the team developed, I started playing around with ideas that I thought would look cool on a pro-sports team that featured the name the Devils. I started out by sketching simplified devil & goat heads and soon started to see the resemblance of a vintage goalie mask. Next, shapes of hockey sticks, a puck and a pitchfork were built into the design to help give the logo depth. Once the base of the concept was figured out, I brought it to my iPad and started working on the fine detail and colours. Originally the eyes were just circles but once finalized I cut two slants into them to add some attitude. The main inspiration for the logo came from the simple shapes that make up vintage goalie masks and abstract imagery that represent hockey and the history of the Devils. Tarot cards, famous pop-culture logos and Boba Fett’s armor all helped bring the supernatural vibes within the logo to life. The colours swamp green, jersey red and black are used to give the team a familiar but new bold look. A subtle gradient brings the colour swap green to life and the renderings of abstract fire warns opponents danger is near. The secondary mark plays homage to the original Colorado Rockies’ logo that was in a shape of a triangle. Team branding features a gothic inspired font that gives the word-mark authority. Ler me know what everyone thinks! More info here.
  23. ENGLAND FA 2022/23 CONCEPT So after seeing some leaked details on www.footyheadlines.com about the England World Cup kit for 2022 I wanted to have a crack at using the info to design a kit. I’ve designed the home, away, anthem jacket and training kit. Home The leaked info suggests that the colourway will be similar to that used in the Euro 96 with a gradient pattern. I’ve tried to bring back some of the ‘96 shirt by including a full collar. Away I wanted to continue to link back to the ‘90s and so I focused my attention to a sublimated pattern similar to the ‘94 away. Training Kit The training kit includes a sublimated pattern using similar patterns to those in the collar on both home and away and the three lions pattern on the away. I hope you all like it and as always lets hear your thoughts.
  24. Purdue confirmed on twitter that they will be getting new uniforms next season... finally. I've never been a fan of their current uniforms and not just because I'm an Indiana fan. I've never quite understood the shorts design nor have I liked the contrasting collar, shoulder stripes, and thing text outlines. I'd like to see the men's team go in the route of the women's team with more traditional uniforms, but I have a feeling Nike will not do that. I came up with a few new uniforms to create a new set for the Boilermakers. The three primary uniforms feature the cowcatcher inspired wordmark emphasized with a contrasting panel. I've never been much of a fan of the cowcatcher wordmark on their current uniforms, but I think by framing it inside of its own panel gives more intention to the shape and makes it look less out of place. The cowcatcher design is repeated on the shorts and creates an abstracted version of the traditional two color short piping. The two alternates are fauxbacks. The first brings the script from the "World's largest drum" to the hardwood in the style of Purdue's uniforms from the 70's. The Black alternate is also done in the same 70's style with an arched script similar to the uniforms Illinois has worn in recent years.
