  2. Hey guys! I'm back with another redesign concept. I had been wanting to do a football league overhaul, but I didn't want to do the NFL since there are already so many topics out there covering that, and I'm not sure I can really do any better So as I was looking for possible leagues to do, I came across the Chinese Arena Football League. This was a perfect fit for me, a relatively small, new league with terrible logos and less than stellar uniforms. Which essentially means I have a lot to work with and room to get my creative juices flowing. Anyways, I'm proud to present to you the new CAFL crest! Here is their current crest for comparison: I liked the overall shape of the shield, so I kept that. It almost reminds me of the NFL logo. I decided I wanted to make this more...Chinese? I don't think a red, yellow, blue scheme works well, so I just went for the colors of the Chinese flag, which in my opinion, is a beautiful color palette. I really wanted to keep the China theme here, so I put the country into the shield emblem. I kept the stars, but obviously made it look more like the flag. I had to include football somewhere, and I thought a silhouette would work better here. I've tested out the crest, and it looks really sharp when you put it in different team colors. Alright, so as you know there are six teams in the league. I will be doing teams in this order: Dalian Dragon Kings Beijing Lions Shenzhen Naja Guangzhou Power Qingdao Clipper Shanghai Skywalkers I will be doing logos and jerseys for each team. Maybe after I'm done with the main six, you can help me come up with ideas for expansion teams. Thanks for taking a look, and feedback is always appreciated I'll have the first team up here soon.
  3. Uniforms created for a hypothetical football version of the PK80 basketball tournament. Looks were built out based on the basketball uniforms worn by each team in this year's tournament. Oklahoma has moved to Jordan brand, as the games would take place next season. Like this year's iteration of the PK80, the use of black is prominent and iridescent highlights are used to accent footwear, gloves and event branding. Individual team concepts coming next
  4. I had a couple ideas...I brings them to you. Avant garde, in one of the few places where it would make perfect sense. The 70s-80s flying alouette figures pretty heavily into this uniform, as the helmet and pants stripe, and also separated to form the assymetrical elements of the jersey: the alouette is on the right sleeve, while the A becomes a sash over the left shoulder. The third also uses the old logo, this time blown up on the shoulders, with the alouette serving as a stylized shoulder stripe. The old Als script is placed beneath the front numbers. On all three jerseys, the early 70s bird head is placed on the back of the collar.
  5. Does any one here have ties to LSUA or know anyone who does? They held a logo contest back in August & have yet to post anything about it. Wondering what became of it, I've tried to make contact but haven't had much luck. Below is the add they posted. If this is not the right place for this by all means please move it to where it belongs, thnx! https://www.lsua.edu/news/noteworthy/2017/08/01/lsua-athletics-logo-contest
  6. This is just a concept I cooked up this week, being off work and not really having much to do. I have had it in my head ever since Illinois redesigned their entire athletic identity a couple years ago. While the new uniforms are miles better than the dated, piping-heavy uniforms from the 2000's, there are some pretty careless striping inconsistencies and design choices that I just don't agree with, so that being said, here is my take on the Fighting Illini. I decided to take the current font and return the classic Illinois script to the helmet because I have always had a soft spot for it for some reason, and IMO, the block I is too vertical to be a strong helmet logo. The orange helmet would be a traditional metallic or molded shell, not the anodized look Illinois has sported since the redesign. I tweaked the sleeve stripes on the blue and orange jerseys and also went with a more traditional full stripe on the pants and adjusted the striping proportions. The new uniforms also have single color numbers to evoke a classic feel as well. I don't really see the need for a white or blue helmet because I think the orange helmet is the strongest and is most often associated with Illini football. Obviously each uniform element would be interchangeable so the team could mix and match up to 9 combos, which is plenty as far as I'm concerned. Hopefully I have actually improved on Illinois' look and I'd love to hear what everyone thinks. Any comments and feedback would be appreciated, thanks for taking a look. Since this has turned into a little series, I thought I'd go ahead and include a list of the teams I plan on redesigning throughout this project: Already Done Illinois W. Virginia Cornell Arkansas St. Dartmouth Northwestern North Dakota State
  7. I really like the look of team specific ugly Christmas sweaters with the snowflakes, Reindeer and other Christmas related imagery but I could never justify spending the 80 dollars for something I'm only going to wear one month a year. So I decided to use my photoshop knowledge to make ugly Christmas sweater themed wallpapers for my friends and I. Here are some I've made so far let me know your thoughts.
  8. Hi all, I got bored one-day and decided to use Nike's teambuilder website to re-design some NFL uniforms Up first: The Carolina Panthers I like Carolina's design right now. Simple and clean. I wanted to keep that going and add a little to it. The home jerseys stay black with white numbers and a light blue outline. However I added the Panthers across front in light blue and put some light blue sleeves on it. Also a light blue/white stripe across the middle. The away jersey follows the same design as the home jersey with a some color swaps to fit the jersey. The alt light-blue jersey also works as the color rush jersey. Let me know what you guys think! Next up will be the Arizona Cardinals
  9. Just wanted to share a new template I created intended to display a uniform of any sort. Below are two finished examples, one with soccer, and another with football equipment. Message me to get a hold of a blank template with no watermark. It is saved as a png. file and I personally used paint.net. Nothing special just hoping it may spark someone's interest. Enjoy! I am accepting feedback to adjust as well.
  10. So I finally decided to try out making concepts on the computer. I have been drawing them for quite a while. This is my first try at this so here it goes. This is my hometown high school team, the Windsor Wizards.
  11. (Updated) I have updated the main post so the finalized renderings are seen first. (Still debating over final numbers. Both based off current Eagles font, but modified) Here is the remainder of the blog for how the above were created. Look through and comment I will update the finals if suggestions and changes are warranted. **** ORIGINAL POST BELOW ***** Okay, I've heard lots of talk about modernizing a throwback classic Eagles uniform but haven't seen any good renderings for what the single vision is for this. So, I took the time and created a one. There is too much discussion to me about "Kelly Green". It's more than that. It's bringing back tradition and having an identity that the loyal fan base can relate to. Lots of Kelly Green advocates seem to just want the "old" back. And this annoys the Millennials who don't care about the past...preferring cool. I just want green back (not some hipster made up color) and would love to see a return of silver. To me, the Eagles' colors should be green, silver and white. Agree??? I feel these would be some of the best uniforms in football...home or away. Your input is appreciated to fine tune them. Notes: Green - Not Kelly (50/60s), and not as dark as 80's. Hopefully modernly in between (jersey would have modern shiny shoulder/chest) Silver - The silver has a slight green tint to make it unique (pants would be shiny material) No black - removed from wing logo (any black seen is outline of drawings only) Facemask - Gray, not shiny silver Concept - Closest is Vick era throwback 50's (with shoulder stripes everyone comments on), mixed with the 80's (without overdoing the stripes), and utilizing modern helmet wing and materials
  12. Tweaked the Bills' logo so that it looks like a bison, by actually looking at a bison. Their current look has been a decent facsimile for many years, but in the HD world we need better.
  13. Another Neo-Vintage Mascot Logo Concept; this time Big Al from the University of Alabama marches on through the puny competition! This was a previous look I created for Al:
  14. https://www.yahoo.com/sports/imagine-nfl-soccer-style-relegation-023418506.html Interesting story about what the NFL would look like in a relegation/promotion setup. The only part that definitely doesn't work is having NFL, CFL, AFL, and NCAA teams in a playoff, but maybe the bottom 4 play for the #1 pick?
  15. Recently I enrolled in a Graphic Design program in college and was in design class when I had the idea to create circle logos. I started with Vanderbilt nothing else really just the logo C&C welcome as well as request for the next logo.

  17. Recently we moved my Mom out of her house, and in the basement I found an old army locker I had squirreled away, with a few childhood treasures. Along with some awesome old sports magazines, and some hand painted action figures was a stack of drawings. They were in surprisingly good shape for being as much as 45 years old... probably because they were stacked so tight, and my parents' religious use of a dehumidifier. They ranged from probably age 5 to age 14, mostly superheroes, but as I got older, a few football uniform designs started creeping in. This one was the oldest; I actually remember making this. I was probably 8, maybe 9... early 70's. I had been given an amazing set of markers... red, yellow, light blue, royal blue, pink, dark green, and black. At the time, I drew most every in pencil and went over it with a black ball point pen, then colored it in. I remember wanting to use as many colors as possible, but I couldn't get the green in. What I was really fascinated by is how much the set up looks like my current template I use today, and how I had already become a crazy stickler for matching stripes. Naturally, I decided to put it on an updated template; I tried my best to stick as close as possible to my 8 year old design... no "fixing". (The exceptions being the added "W" on the logo... I mean, come on!, and the addition of a road jersey, which I don't think at the time I bothered with.) There were other uniforms in there... for the most part, I started out inventing my own teams, but later I had a bunch of new designs for the Minnesota Vikings. Apparently at the time, I was very interested in adding a lot of yellow/gold to the Vikings. Anyway, I hope some of you get a kick out of this. I had a lot of fun making it. (Both times!) And if the Kansas Jayhawks break out something similar, I'm suing!
  18. Welcome! I am making concept uniforms for the FBS starting with the power 5! NOTICE: All teams will be sponsored by Nike, and are all dome on apps. Sorry if the quality is not the greatest. C&C is always appreciated! ACC: Boston College
  19. WESTEROS FOOTBALL LEAGUE What's up everyone. For my first post I am proud to present a project I have been working on for quite a bit. If you're a fan of Game of Thrones and the NFL, then this may be for you. The project takes the question, "What if Westeros had its own professional football league?", and brings it to life. For those that are unfamiliar, Westeros is the main continent of the World of Ice and Fire, and the setting of the very popular HBO show, Game of Thrones. Based off the best-selling book series by George RR Martin, Game of Thrones just wrapped up its seventh season. With the NFL season starting, I thought it would be a great time to present this series. Without further ado, here it is. THE TEAMS Each team is based off one of the major houses in Westeros. The teams' uniforms and branding draw from different aspects of each house such as the house sigil, the house words, characters attire, and more. You may also notice some teams draw inspiration from NFL teams as well. I have decided to begin with twelve teams to keep things simple, however, there is definitely the possibility of expanding beyond that in the future. The North Castle Black Crows Bear Island Bears Winterfell Direwolves The East Eyrie Falcons Dragonstone Dragons Storm's End Stags The West Pyke Kraken Clegane's Keep Kennel Lannisport Lions The South Riverrun Trout Highgarden Flowers Sunspear Sandsnakes

  21. Here's a Las Vegas Outlaws Rebrand I just wrapped up. I may do other XFL teams in the far future but enjoy this for now
  22. In an alternate universe the American Football League was never created, instead it was the Federal Football League. Established in 1960, the FFL was a 16 team league with 2 conferences. There was the Eastern Conference and the Western Conference. Eastern conference consisted of BOSTON ADMIRALS / BROOKLYN ISLANDERS / BUFFALO SCOUTS / HARTFORD COYOTES / CINCINNATI GENERALS / INDIANA MAVERICKS / MIAMI SHARKS / ORLANDO STINGRAYS. Western Conference consisted of COLORADO COMETS / HOUSTON WRANGLERS / KANSAS CITY WARRIORS / NASHVILLE RAMBLERS / LAS VEGAS OUTLAWS / LOS ANGELES TIGERS / OAKLAND PIRATES / UTAH YELLOWJACKETS. Federal Football League played 10 seasons (1960 - 1969). In 1970, the Federal Football League merged with the National Football League. This merger created the American Football league in 1970. The AFL consisted of 2 conferences. Federal Conference and National Conference. Federal Football League's 16 teams now made up the Federal Conference and the National Football League's 16 teams now made up the National Conference in the American Football League. In this universe the American Football League is the present day 32 team league (1970 - Present). Now back to the Federal Football League. Founded in 1960 with 16 teams, the Federal Football League was just as popular as the National Football League. Their title game was named the Champions Bowl. Here you can see each teams' logo, wordmark and helmet. Federal Football League Logo
  23. So because I have no life as many of you guys don't either, I decided to make a CCSLC account. I did this so I can present my Madden CFM league thing. I took all of the AFC teams and relocated them to almost all of the cities on CFM that you can relocate to. There are 18 options, but since there's only 16 teams I didn't use Salt Lake City or Houston, because the team name/logo options sucked (with the exception of the Oilers.) I left the NFC teams alone and pretend they don't exist. What I do is simulate the games so I can watch and not control them. I will post weekly highlights and scores of the league when I can. Here are the rules and set up of the league: - A simulated fantasy draft was held at the beginning of the first season. - 7 min quarters, but game mode is set to "fast" so the scores are realistic to a real NFL game - 12 games per season, excluding preseason (each team plays an NFC team 4 times, but it counts as a forced win for the AFC team) -AFC championship counts as the final "championship" (super bowl is simulated and ignored) Here is an overview of the teams, but I'll post in depth each team later (uniforms, roster, etc): East: -London Black Knights -London Bulldogs -Brooklyn Bulls -Dublin Celtic Tigers North: -Columbus Aviators -Toronto Thunderbirds -Chicago Tigers -Portland Snowhawks South: -Oklahoma City Bisons -Mexico City Diablos -Orlando Sentinels -Memphis Steamers West: -Austin Desperados -San Antonio Dreadnoughts -Sacramento Miners -Los Angeles Red Dragons
  24. Alright, I think the Red Raiders could go for an identity refresh/upgrade. Their recent uniforms were an upgrade in my opinion from the previous UnderArmour looks that we have rolled out but still left something to be desired and IMO have aged greatly. The pants have been tweaked slightly to remove the "Guns Up" text and the stripes are modified a little as well. The jerseys now feature contrasting TV numbers on the shoulder tops (inspired by the Ohio State national championship unis), and a sublimated pattern on the sleeve caps. This pattern is an homage to those found on the shoulders of the suits that Spanish Matadors wore (this is what the school's original mascot was, and elements can still be found on the masked rider mascot). I also think the "Double T" logo looks better flat - but our stadium upgrade included a beveled logo on the scoreboard that was solid red which is a nice combination of simple and modern over the current look. So enough of all that, here are the goods. C&C welcome. I've put together some different combinations the team could wear, as well as a throwback set. Home & Road Color Rush Home Alts (white helmet) Red Alts (red helmet) Throwback
  25. Merry Christmas! For those in the know, high school football is overshadowed by Hockey, which leads to some boring uniform design. The Task I set up for myself today is to redesign uniforms for all of Alaska's High School Football Teams. I won't try to do logos, but if somebody wants to help with that, shoot me a PM. I'm using tbdaniel15's elite mach speed template, so thanks man!
