  2. I'm looking for information on NAIA football rivalries. Google has failed me. Anyone have anything to share?
  3. I’ve been away from the boards for a while, but I’ve still been looking at other soccer concepts for ideas. In about late-July I decided to revive it, but instead of building off of what I already had, I decided to go back to square one. I made the league brand new and doubled the teams to a whopping 48. So this is the biggest project design related I have ever done, and like I said before, I’ve been working on it (drawing up ideas, writing backstories, designing kits and crests) since about late-July. I hope you all enjoy this mammoth of a project and please don’t shy from C&C. I can take it. League Backstory: The Floridian Premier League was founded in 1940 to give an southern counterpart to the thriving American soccer leagues in states like California, Texas, and New York. It’s immediate success brought it to the same level as these other leagues and it has been a farm for successful play domestically with other state league sides. It is composed of 48 teams, the most sides of any league in America. 8 of those teams get relegated, and 7 of them go to the American Champions League. Its most successful club domestically is International Gardens, and its most successful club nationally is Lauderdale Athletic. Team List: Athletic Club Boca Biscayne Athletic Soccer Club Brevard Brevard Rockets Soccer Club Buena Vista United Cascades Soccer Club Clearwater Soccer Club Daytona Racing Club Soccer Club Deerfield Deportivo Miami Fort Brooke Soccer Club Soccer Club Fort Myers Freedom Tower Soccer Club Gateway Soccer Club Gold Coast Diamonds Gulf Shore Athletic Harbor City Soccer Club Hillsborough City Soccer Club Homestead City Soccer Club International Gardens Soccer Club Islanders Soccer Club Keys United Soccer Club Lakeland Swans Soccer Club Lauderdale Athletic Club Lighthouse United Soccer Club Locomotive Gainesville Menéndez Club de Futbol Miramar Club Deportivo Nautica Soccer Club Ocala Riders Soccer Club Orange County Soccer Club Palm Beach Maritime Panama City Soccer Club Paradise Soccer Club Pembroke Rovers Soccer Club Progress United Real Palmas Club de Futbol Reeves Soccer Club River City Soccer Club San Agustín 1565 Sporting Pensacola Springs United Soccer Club St. Johns Brigade St. Lucie Union Sunshine City Soccer Club Tampa Bay United Volucres Soccer Club Ybor City Soccer Club I’m gonna do a similar thing to TheGiantsFan where he has a famous person from that city represent the name on the shirt, and you have to guess it. In this concept I’ll post a league table, and at the end I’ll group the crests and home and away kits together to get a big idea of what the league looks like altogether. I’ll be posting the teams alphabetically and about one per day, maybe more. Anyways here's the first club...
  4. Just a quick stress relieving exercise and a logo update to match the teams other various branding. Nothing special here
  5. Lets get this started as the introductions get going: Not official numbers yet: Deshaun Watson #4 Mitch Trubisky (not official #) Solomon Thomas & Reuban Foster (not official #) Leonard Fournette #27
  6. Thinking about expanding my college football concepts... here's one for WV... back to basics as usual. C and C appreciated.
  7. Hello, I've been working on this design for quite a while and come up with a few different options. The trouble is I have no idea which one to go forward with? Would love to hear everyones feedback on the design they prefer and hopefully why that is (so that it will help in the future). Also love to hear any feedback on how to improve the logo in general. All feedback is very much appreciated!!! Thanks Phil FFD
  8. There are a couple of ncaa color rush concepts on the boards. I was going to do this a lot earlier, so don't think I'm trying to steal anyone's concepts. These will be hand drawn. Constructive criticism is appreciated, I will be free to take request. Also, I will only be doing colleges sponsored by Nike. Hope you like them Ohio State
  9. Not sure how far I'm gonna go with this series, I'm just gonna play it by ear and if anyone comes up with suggestions for clubs. The original idea came when I was asked to sign up a team for a friends league in PES. The team I had in mind was based off of the show Courage The Cowardly Dog, and was named the Nowhere Brave Soon afterward, I got back into watching old episodes of Space Ghost Coast to Coast and, along with the passing of the voice actor of Zorak & Moltar, I felt like attempting a series out of this concept. The idea for this crest was to base it off the color scheme & three variations of the Space Ghost logos that I have been familiar with. This logo, I'm still not fully satisfied with. Here's what I currently have for Ghost Planet FC. If there are any suggestions for future clubs or critiques for either of these two, especially the latter, I would greatly appreciate it!
  10. I'm in the mood for creating some soccer concepts for the upcoming season. First for Barca and Real.
  11. Here's another shot at football design. I took a stab at the Miami Dolphins, who have one of my favorite identities of any team out there. I took this as an excuse to play around with some new templates I stumbled upon, and I like them all a lot. Home Away Alternate Color Rush That's all! Thanks for reading all this!
  12. This is a logo concept I've been thinking about lately. Not a fan of the team though, but feel free to look an comment. Not sure if I want to do uniforms in the future... Feel free to check out my Dribbble for more info.
  13. I am in the process of putting together a Las Vegas Raiders rebrand for when they relocate. I am just getting started with the uniforms, but I wanted to get feedback before I did the away uniforms and color rush uniforms. I am incorporating the famous welcome to las vegas sign as a major part of the rebrand. This will be their inaugural season patch and the star from the sign will be implemented throughout the set. As always C&C is greatly appreciated!
  14. Hello, A couple of days I was thinking about the "Color Rush" unis that the NFL teams use. I wondered how major NCAA teams would look with these flashy sets. I did a quick search, and found BKKnight95's old thread about NCAA Color Rush unis. If you would like to see his, Click Here. Anyways, I decided to give a crack at it, and came up with a pretty nice set for Georgia. Here it is. List: Georgia (Edited) Georgia Tech (Edited)
  15. So guys, it's finally done. All the years I've been using this 'comic template' I've always got requests to give it out. I never did because lazy. Over the last few days I created the new Nike Aeroswift template with my template and decided that it would be the perfect instance to share it with you. Maybe one problem is that I just use Gimp and subsequent I can just share it in the xcf-format. So you can definitely open it with Gimp. If someone knows how I can save it in .psd or just convert it would be nice. 16. Hey guys! This is my first post, but I've been lurking the forum from a long time. I'm an amateur graphic designer and I love to design team crests and logos for fun, so I've thought that I should make a concept/fantasy league myself! POLSKA SUPER LIGA (POLISH SUPER LEAGUE)
  17. Hey, everyone. I just started following soccer this year and this "new" sport (to me) inspired me to do a brand new project: NFL Soccer Crossovers. I just finished the last one so I'm excited to see what you all think of it. When I first started this project, I wanted to do more than simply re-create NFL uniforms on a soccer template. I thought, "if these teams actually WERE in, say, Premier League, what would they look like". I tried to meld the soccer look/feel with their NFL counterpart. Elements from the original team exist, but within new boundaries. Some teams will stay traditional; some you may not expect, but I went crazy with them. Most teams I chose a location that fits more within a Premier League style (ex.: Washington Redskins become Washington FC) and all will have main kit sponsors. Most of the sponsors are the same as the stadium sponsor with a few exceptions. Also in this crossover world, Nike still has their full-league deal that they have with the current NFL. So let's get this started. Below is the order I'll unveil these in, updated every two days (for the mods reading this thread). AFC East: Buffalo Miami Town New York City Premier New England NFC East: Dallas New York United Philadelphia Washington FC AFC North: Cincinnati CP Browns Pittsbrough Ravens NFC North: Detroit United FC Chicago Green Bay Twin Cities AFC South: FC Jacksonville Houston Sporting Indianapolis Titans Athletic NFC South: Atlanta Charlotte City New Orleans Tampa Bay AFC West: Alameda County Denver FCLA Chargers Kansas City NFC West: Atletico Los Angeles Emerald City Phoenix San Francisco AC

  19. Hi So as a Brit living here in the US I love the NFL, many at home love it too which is why we are certain to get a team in the near future especially since the NFL gave $125 million towards Tottenham Hotspurs new stadium. On that note when we do get a team what shall our name be? Colours look extra. I have had this discussion on here before and came to realize that although the natural conclusion is to go red white and blue for the national colours, on reflection too many teams in the NFL have this colour scheme. Thus for us to have a successful team we need to stand out and be unique. Another problem is most NFL UK have a team getting them to switch allegiances will be tough, however this will not happen if the team has London as its place name. Like how Boston Patriots became New England Patriots, we have to represent our whole island. Four Nations will unite us all around one team. when thinking of a symbol to unite us I looked no further than the British Bulldogs. I looked at all the teams and originally wanted to go with a ww1 British uniform colour however the colour was a bit too sickly green. Yet brown kept appearing during this period for uniforms and when I blended the dark red with the brown and silver I thought I had hit on something unique. The patch on the jersey I quickly through together but wanted the final design to have a patch that had a flower from each of the four countries in the Uk, English rose, Scottish thistle etc. The only problem i'm having is I have only just started graphic design and I'm not ready to make my own fonts yet. I really want to get tee shirts made of this concept so I can support the idera of us getting a team in the NFL but feel I need a great word mark to tie the brand together. Would any one on here be willing to make a word mark based of my idea that I could use? I would be so Grateful. Other than that let me know your thoughts on my concept, as I greatly value the community's opinion given how talented you all are. Thanks for taking the time to look
  20. I'm sorry that this has taken me so long to get posted, frosh week has kept me far too busy the last couple of days. Below are links to the NCAA and NFL versions of the template in svg. as well as a great ai. version thanks to the fantastic Doug Houvener. I'd also like to thank Thomas Hatfield for the fantastic helmet template, as well as Andrew Harrington for the various parts of his Speed Machine template which I used. Thanks as well to those of you who have been testing this out for me the last couple of weeks, your feedback has helped me out a lot. I hope to see it used on a few concepts in the future. 21. About a year ago i had an idea that what if Nike designed high school uniforms the same way they designed college uniforms. No, not the templated design (which a lot of high schools now wear) but the designs in which Nike takes their time and collaborates with the school on having a football or school identity that coincides with something that the school is famous for (a la Florida State, North Carolina, Wake Forest and Tennessee). I would describe these uniforms as modern conservative. This meaning that a lot of these designs are modern but I keep them as conservative as I can. I hate the over the top uniforms (Maryland's flag uniforms, TCU's frogskin). Some teams might have some traditional stripe elements with a little twist to keep it modern. If a team is already famous for a certain element, I keep that design or put my own little twist on it. Another design aspect I took from uniforms is throwbacks to a time before teams were Nikefied, Adidasfied, Under Armourfied, or just given generic uniforms. Or I combine both the templated Nike design with a throwback element. I tried to create the designs so that they will be used throughout all sports and maybe down the road I'll create basketball, soccer, football, or baseball uniforms. There are some logos that have had to be redesigned. However I am terrible at creating logos on photoshop. So most of these updated logos are just font updates or cleanups. I started by redesigning local high schools in Northeast Wisconsin but am always looking for inspiration on other schools to do. I have about 45 schools done just so if I am unavailable to work on new uniforms, I will have backups to be able to post. Without further ado, my alma mater Appleton North: APPLETON NORTH LIGHTNING So yes I did do a thread trying to redesign this school. Got a lot of great feedback especially on the logo. I did change up the designs a little bit. Logo: I wanted to create a more dynamic logo and a more modern logo. DavidMiller5 really helped me throughout the design and I have to thank him so much for that. Helmet: Last time it was just a flat gold helmet. I wanted to recreate Notre Dame's shiny helmets and finally found a good way to do that. Primary logo and the stripe is a lightning bolt. Jerseys: Basically the same design from last time. Except the gold accents on the home jersey are the same golden pattern as on the helmet. I tried so hard to get a vegas gold that looked good but could never come up with a good color. Kept the alt a flat gold. Pants: Loved what my school has done by adding gold pants two years ago, but I do miss the blue-on-blue and the white-on-white that we were known for. Well I brought that back. The gold pants are now shiny, just like the helmets. Design: The font is Rainbow Warriors. I know it is basically a chargers copy but this is pretty much what they had before a local company and nike gave them a generic design. I listened to sleuthpanther and made the outlines on the lightning bolts more consistent (thanks to him for that). I didn't want to put a white outline on the gold bolt because it really cluttered it. Thanks so much to Conrad for the fonts, all the fonts I use are from Conrad. And another huge thank you to Matt Wilcox for the template. I can't remember who created the helmet template but thank you to them. C&C is appreciated and I can't wait to post the next team. Thanks guys.
  22. This is my first time trying my hand at a logo redesign. I had this Ravens concept sketched up awhile ago, and just now felt comfortable enough to try it out in Inkscape. I'm sure there's something that could be upgraded or changed, so get that C&C rolling! Feedback much appreciated.
  23. Hey guys! This is my first time posting my own topic on the boards so let's see how this goes. This thread will consist of my Football uniform concepts for the Atlantic Sun Conference, a D1 non-football conference. Notes: I know I'm using an old template, so I'll apologize in advance for that. A lot of this was using the paint bucket tool but there are a few instances of brushes, pen tool, etc. Lastly, this is my first concept so I know it's not the best by far, and C&C is completely welcome, and changes will be made accordingly. Thank you!
