  1. I had a couple ideas...I brings them to you. Avant garde, in one of the few places where it would make perfect sense. The 70s-80s flying alouette figures pretty heavily into this uniform, as the helmet and pants stripe, and also separated to form the assymetrical elements of the jersey: the alouette is on the right sleeve, while the A becomes a sash over the left shoulder. The third also uses the old logo, this time blown up on the shoulders, with the alouette serving as a stylized shoulder stripe. The old Als script is placed beneath the front numbers. On all three jerseys, the early 70s bird head is placed on the back of the collar.
  2. Atlanta United is rumored to be doing away with their inaugural away kits, which is a good thing in my view as they were pretty boring. I love their red and black striped kit, and wanted to keep the "5 Stripes" in my concept kit as well. It's an all black idea, so I thought it may work better as a 3rd kit rather than their main away kit. I may attempt an away kit as well on this thread in the future.
  3. Uniforms created for a hypothetical football version of the PK80 basketball tournament. Looks were built out based on the basketball uniforms worn by each team in this year's tournament. Oklahoma has moved to Jordan brand, as the games would take place next season. Like this year's iteration of the PK80, the use of black is prominent and iridescent highlights are used to accent footwear, gloves and event branding. Individual team concepts coming next
  4. Does any one here have ties to LSUA or know anyone who does? They held a logo contest back in August & have yet to post anything about it. Wondering what became of it, I've tried to make contact but haven't had much luck. Below is the add they posted. If this is not the right place for this by all means please move it to where it belongs, thnx! https://www.lsua.edu/news/noteworthy/2017/08/01/lsua-athletics-logo-contest

    NBA Football

So it's been a while since I posted but I have been working on a project for the last few months, took some time off, and came back to it. Well my new project is this, NBA teams as football teams. This idea came because I saw the new Timberwolves logo and thought that would look really good on a helmet, just like the old Michigan Panthers helmet. Well I put it on the helmet and then I realized there hasn't been a true concept on these boards in awhile since JPDesigns awesome thread a few years ago. With Nike's takeover of the NBA, I thought this was the perfect time to start a new one. I will be releasing each team alphabetically with the exception of the first team (the Minnesota Timberwolves). Just a few things about the thread that I feel like should be explained: -This is not an "edit the uniform" thread. This is basically just translating the uniforms on to a football uniform. Even though I hate some of the uniforms, I will not edit them. -Some uniforms will have basketballs in the logos because changing the basketball will change the logo. -NO JERSEY ADS. I hate hate hate the idea of them and wished the NBA never had them -One helmet rule does not apply (unlike the NFL). But for the most part, each team will only have 1 helmet. -The Home (Association?), Away (I don't know the stupid name for the away jerseys), and Alternates (statement) jerseys are all done -I created some alternate jerseys that may or may not be used by teams in real life -Once the 2nd alts (Community) jerseys come out I will be adding those -The teams that have unveiled throwbacks, I have completed. I even have completed some fan favorite throwbacks So here is the team that peaked my interest MINNESOTA TIMBERWOLVES HELMET: -Just like I said, I thought given the Michigan Panthers treatment to the logo, the helmet would be really cool -Normal glossy blue helmet and facemask -Wolf is howling at the star, just like the logo JERSEY: -Took the torso/shoulder stripes and put them on the shoulder caps -"WOLVES" on all 3 jerseys. I couldn't find a "MINNESOTA wordmark that was the same PANTS: -Same stripe, just flipped -Changed the coloring of the stripe on the blue pants that are worn with the green jersey. -Light blue pants would not be worn with the green jersey, and the green pants would not be worn with the blue or white jersey THROWBACK I had high hopes that the new uniforms would encompass and hearken back to the KG era uniforms. I was disappointed but I thought why not make the old uniforms then. Tree design on the collar and sleeve cuffs, just like the real jerseys I also created some concepts about what I thought the uniforms would look like before they unveiled them. I had the same idea as everyone else did, they would bring back the tree theme. Well they didn't, but I thought I would still show them on here. CONCEPT UNIFORMS Hopefully you guys like these concepts. And if not I always look forward to hearing the C&C. I will try to have a team up every day and the next team will be the Atlanta Hawks. Thanks guys
  6. Hi all, I got bored one-day and decided to use Nike's teambuilder website to re-design some NFL uniforms Up first: The Carolina Panthers I like Carolina's design right now. Simple and clean. I wanted to keep that going and add a little to it. The home jerseys stay black with white numbers and a light blue outline. However I added the Panthers across front in light blue and put some light blue sleeves on it. Also a light blue/white stripe across the middle. The away jersey follows the same design as the home jersey with a some color swaps to fit the jersey. The alt light-blue jersey also works as the color rush jersey. Let me know what you guys think! Next up will be the Arizona Cardinals
  7. So I finally decided to try out making concepts on the computer. I have been drawing them for quite a while. This is my first try at this so here it goes. This is my hometown high school team, the Windsor Wizards.
  8. Just wanted to share a new template I created intended to display a uniform of any sort. Below are two finished examples, one with soccer, and another with football equipment. Message me to get a hold of a blank template with no watermark. It is saved as a png. file and I personally used paint.net. Nothing special just hoping it may spark someone's interest. Enjoy! I am accepting feedback to adjust as well.
  9. Another Neo-Vintage Mascot Logo Concept; this time Big Al from the University of Alabama marches on through the puny competition! This was a previous look I created for Al:
  10. TCU has a few vintage logos, but I thought I'd take elements from them and create a neo-vintage one:
  11. NCAA FBS football is thoroughly exciting both on TV and in person due to both the level of competition and the atmosphere with the crazy student's sections and the marching band among other traditions. I'm such a huge fan that I'm going to all of Western Michigan's home games this year (GO BRONCOS!!!). For this project, I'm creating another level of competition above the FCS and FBS, the FSS or Football Super Series comprised of 104 (fictional) colleges and universities just a bit bigger and better than the FBS. Each school will get uniforms and this neat little 8-bit matchup mockup (I love old-school video games) to show what combinations they'll be wearing throughout the season. For the names, I created a spreadsheet with all of the states and territories, and all of the names already taken (U of, State, Tech, A&M, Northern, etc.), and filled in the blanks. So, without further ado, here are the conferences:
  12. (Updated) I have updated the main post so the finalized renderings are seen first. (Still debating over final numbers. Both based off current Eagles font, but modified) Here is the remainder of the blog for how the above were created. Look through and comment I will update the finals if suggestions and changes are warranted. **** ORIGINAL POST BELOW ***** Okay, I've heard lots of talk about modernizing a throwback classic Eagles uniform but haven't seen any good renderings for what the single vision is for this. So, I took the time and created a one. There is too much discussion to me about "Kelly Green". It's more than that. It's bringing back tradition and having an identity that the loyal fan base can relate to. Lots of Kelly Green advocates seem to just want the "old" back. And this annoys the Millennials who don't care about the past...preferring cool. I just want green back (not some hipster made up color) and would love to see a return of silver. To me, the Eagles' colors should be green, silver and white. Agree??? I feel these would be some of the best uniforms in football...home or away. Your input is appreciated to fine tune them. Notes: Green - Not Kelly (50/60s), and not as dark as 80's. Hopefully modernly in between (jersey would have modern shiny shoulder/chest) Silver - The silver has a slight green tint to make it unique (pants would be shiny material) No black - removed from wing logo (any black seen is outline of drawings only) Facemask - Gray, not shiny silver Concept - Closest is Vick era throwback 50's (with shoulder stripes everyone comments on), mixed with the 80's (without overdoing the stripes), and utilizing modern helmet wing and materials
  13. https://www.yahoo.com/sports/imagine-nfl-soccer-style-relegation-023418506.html Interesting story about what the NFL would look like in a relegation/promotion setup. The only part that definitely doesn't work is having NFL, CFL, AFL, and NCAA teams in a playoff, but maybe the bottom 4 play for the #1 pick?
  14. Since I was a kid, I loved creating fictional leagues. Basketball, Football, Baseball. But the one I've currently spent the most time with is the ACFA. I have become committed to turning this league into reality and would love your guys feedback as I release content. For now, I have just created the league logo, but soon I'll have the conferences and the teams. I've stated on previous threads I'm not the best at making logos, especially animals ones, so if anyone you guys want to help a brother out, that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for reading my spiel, I should have the first conference out sometime today!
  15. Recently I enrolled in a Graphic Design program in college and was in design class when I had the idea to create circle logos. I started with Vanderbilt nothing else really just the logo C&C welcome as well as request for the next logo.
  16. Tweaked the Bills' logo so that it looks like a bison, by actually looking at a bison. Their current look has been a decent facsimile for many years, but in the HD world we need better.
  17. I apologize in advance for this super long first post here. This is by far the most lengthy and intensive project I've done yet. Anywayyyys... USSL History: The US Super League was founded in 1970 at the peak of American soccer popularity. Many leagues were expanding rapidly, and the US wanted to make a Champions League type competition to compete with the European soccer market. They founded the Super League with six leagues from Texas area, California area, Florida, New York area, New England, and the Midwest. Many teams started to assert dominance in the League, and it almost became too one-sided. In 1976, more leagues started to join to increase competition and eventually by the late 80’s, every league in America was admitted to join the US Super League. In modern day competition, 64 teams face off in a group-based format. The field narrows down to 32 as the remaining teams face another group stage. The knockout stage starts when the field hits 16, and it eventually whittles down to a final 2. Dallas Rangers hold the most victories with 7 followed by Brooklyn Wanderers who have 6 and Atletico Santa Monica who have 5. The 2016-2017 champions was the Californian club Saint Joseph who earned their 3rd title. 19. Recently we moved my Mom out of her house, and in the basement I found an old army locker I had squirreled away, with a few childhood treasures. Along with some awesome old sports magazines, and some hand painted action figures was a stack of drawings. They were in surprisingly good shape for being as much as 45 years old... probably because they were stacked so tight, and my parents' religious use of a dehumidifier. They ranged from probably age 5 to age 14, mostly superheroes, but as I got older, a few football uniform designs started creeping in. This one was the oldest; I actually remember making this. I was probably 8, maybe 9... early 70's. I had been given an amazing set of markers... red, yellow, light blue, royal blue, pink, dark green, and black. At the time, I drew most every in pencil and went over it with a black ball point pen, then colored it in. I remember wanting to use as many colors as possible, but I couldn't get the green in. What I was really fascinated by is how much the set up looks like my current template I use today, and how I had already become a crazy stickler for matching stripes. Naturally, I decided to put it on an updated template; I tried my best to stick as close as possible to my 8 year old design... no "fixing". (The exceptions being the added "W" on the logo... I mean, come on!, and the addition of a road jersey, which I don't think at the time I bothered with.) There were other uniforms in there... for the most part, I started out inventing my own teams, but later I had a bunch of new designs for the Minnesota Vikings. Apparently at the time, I was very interested in adding a lot of yellow/gold to the Vikings. Anyway, I hope some of you get a kick out of this. I had a lot of fun making it. (Both times!) And if the Kansas Jayhawks break out something similar, I'm suing!
  20. Since 1999 I have been developing a concept league called the Sunday Champions League. Accompanying this league is a full collegiate universeThe first team up is the Cleveland Turfdogs. Keep in mind I was in fifth grade when some of these teams got their names, and in honor of tradition the names have stuck. The Turfdogs are a playoff team year in and year out but have lost all three SCL Championships that they have reached. Running Back, Bruce Perry is the lone Dog that has reached the SCL Pantheon (Hall of Fame). He holds the honor of being the first running back in SCL history to reach 2,000 yards. The Dogs are hoping that their first round pick, QB Pat Cavanaugh, will turn things around for them. They have missed the playoffs two straight seasons for the first time in team history.
  21. Welcome! I am making concept uniforms for the FBS starting with the power 5! NOTICE: All teams will be sponsored by Nike, and are all dome on apps. Sorry if the quality is not the greatest. C&C is always appreciated! ACC: Boston College
  22. WESTEROS FOOTBALL LEAGUE What's up everyone. For my first post I am proud to present a project I have been working on for quite a bit. If you're a fan of Game of Thrones and the NFL, then this may be for you. The project takes the question, "What if Westeros had its own professional football league?", and brings it to life. For those that are unfamiliar, Westeros is the main continent of the World of Ice and Fire, and the setting of the very popular HBO show, Game of Thrones. Based off the best-selling book series by George RR Martin, Game of Thrones just wrapped up its seventh season. With the NFL season starting, I thought it would be a great time to present this series. Without further ado, here it is. THE TEAMS Each team is based off one of the major houses in Westeros. The teams' uniforms and branding draw from different aspects of each house such as the house sigil, the house words, characters attire, and more. You may also notice some teams draw inspiration from NFL teams as well. I have decided to begin with twelve teams to keep things simple, however, there is definitely the possibility of expanding beyond that in the future. The North Castle Black Crows Bear Island Bears Winterfell Direwolves The East Eyrie Falcons Dragonstone Dragons Storm's End Stags The West Pyke Kraken Clegane's Keep Kennel Lannisport Lions The South Riverrun Trout Highgarden Flowers Sunspear Sandsnakes
  23. Here's a Las Vegas Outlaws Rebrand I just wrapped up. I may do other XFL teams in the far future but enjoy this for now
  24. High School Football season is underway lets see what uniforms your local teams are wearing.
  25. I've been on this board a few years and don't recall ever seeing a thread for HS football. Figured it would be interesting to give it a try. Let this thread be the hub for all things high schools football. Previews, rankings, scores, trash talk, players to watch, etc. So have HS camps started everywhere yet? I know in my home state (Maryland) public school camps always began on August 15th, unless there's been a change in recent years.
