  1. Hey guys! I saw some Grateful Dead logos recently and I thought that they were easy to plop a roundel logo in the skull and some colors on the sides so I thought I could make a quick concept with them. They are just pictures, not signatures or wallpapers, but I thought a good kick of nostalgia for the older folks might do some good. If you know of a team with a roundel logo or any round logo, just put a comment down below! I can get the approximate colors for every team in the NHL, NBA, NFL,MLS, EPL and MLB. I will try my best to find the right colors for foreign teams. If you would like to request some designs made for you, feel free to comment in this format: Team Name Preferred Logo Any other requirements (Certain colors, throwbacks, etc.) This is definitely not an only-requests post. I would LOVE any constructive criticism in the comments and will take any suggestions into consideration. Please cut me some slack if they're not Hi-def 9000p, I'm just using Microsoft 1997 with Microsoft Paint. I don't have the money or the material to make my first-time concepts like a professional graphics designer would. (but I sure wish I could!) I cannot guarantee when your request will be done, because I don't know how many requests I will get. The Grateful Dead designs that you see above you were invented by me. I have seen designs like this before, so I'm not saying I'm original or anything. 2. NBA Southeast Division _________________________________________ Washington Wizards You can't edit and brainstorm that much with the Wizards. They have a logo and identity that have no relation with their nickname, their identity just screams 'Murica. I wish they change their name to Capitals or Monuments. Charlotte Hornets Changed the shade of purple and teal. Orlando Magic In my opinion, the Magic's color scheme is too boring with Blue, Black, and Silver. I got the purple and gold combination while searching for anything magic that is not Disney, and the only thing that pops is Dark Magician from Yu-Gi-Oh. Miami Heat Miami Heat predominant color on their logo is black. In my opinion, black doesn't scream Heat to me. If their nickname is Miami Burn, black would be good. I replaced the deep red with orange, and black with deep red. Atlanta Hawks When the Hawks rebranded, everyone expects them to return to their red & yellow color scheme from the 80's to early 00's. But when it was revealed, the new colors is red and some shade of green, many were disappointed. Yellow also looks good with their current logo, compared to just red and white.
  3. I guess it's that time again -- looking forward to the uniform and logo changes in the NBA for the upcoming 2016-17 season ... THE LAST YEAR OF ADIDAS! As has been twirling around Twitter, UniWatch and the mothership (thanks to Conrad) ... the "rumored" or "semi-confirmed" changes for 16-17 include Sacramento, Utah and Detroit. Not sure if this graphic confirms a change in the Celtics' primary logo? But, I'll post it here for speculation ...
  4. For those of you who are interested The Basketball Tournament or TBT officially released the logos for 60 of the 64 teams that have been accepted into the tournament so far.
  5. Just noticed this today, NBA 2k17 appears to have leaked the new Pistons logo LONG before we knew about it. On the "Current NBA Teams" AND "league expansion" option, you can see the Pistons new logo in the bottom right corner.

Hey everyone I recently had some free time, between doing my class projects, so for fun I whipped up some quick logos for a men's basketball league I play in back home. What do you guys think? C&C always welcome.
  7. Does anyone know where I can find the piece written by Chris Creamer about the accuracy of the Brooklyn Dodgers logo on caps that are being sold nowadays? I was having some trouble locating it. I'd appreciate the help!
  8. During the draft, the Eagles used two separate buildings (that aren't even that close to each other, but happened to line up from this angle) to show the team logos. The taller one "wooshed" them, while the squatter one (comprised of a full LED board that you can play Tetris on) showed the full logo. See below: We've all seen logos projected onto buildings, but what are some other examples of the logos actually being made by the building?
  9. Hey all, this is a little something that I've been working on recently. This idea was originally intended to be submitted to HJC's pairs competition, but @McElroy19 and I couldn't fully put together our ideas and submit before the deadline (but thanks for helping out and giving me feedback throughout the entire design process Matt!). and here is what the main mark looks like on a white background (and in BW). I'm definitely open to all C&C, as this is by no means a "finished" project. I am just a bit stuck on what I could possibly change/add/etc. to make this a stronger mark - if anything even needs to be edited at all. Any thoughts? Oh, and uniforms are on their way too
  10. Here is my new concept idea for the Nordiques... Maybe its more of a AHL looking logo rather then a NHL logo but I think its a fun idea that would represent the Nords return to any league. The igloo is the primary and the polar bear is the shoulder patch logo. Comments and critiques are welcomed!
  11. Love making soccer badges so I figured I would take a few stabs at MLS logos. Montreal's logo is one I have messed with before, but I did not take my last design into consideration with this one. I kept the basic elements, like the 4 stars, fleur, and traditional stripes. My goal was to give them a clean look. Let me know what you think. Also, what American Soccer logos do you think could be improved, I would love some ideas. Thanks!
  12. Hey guys, So I'm still pretty new to posting my work and stuff but I've decided to take a whack at a large project, so I picked a redesign of the NHL. I'll be posting each teams new jerseys and logos as I finish them. Some teams will be partially or completely untouched depending on how much I like their current sets. I'm using MS paint so obviously I don't have a lot of breathing room, but I'll try my best. I also haven't been able to find any good name and number templates that are compatible with MS Paint so that's why they look like crap on all my jerseys. But anyway, C&C is greatly appreciated and I can't wait to see what you guys think.
  13. I know this is kind of an obscure topic, but it's one I kind of find fascinating, because of the rarity of both happening and documentation when the internet was just Al Gore's pet project. But, in the 80's there were a number of instances of secondary jerseys and color vs. color match ups. The Utah Jazz for instance wore their green jerseys at home a couple times for St. Patrick's Day -- once against the Lakers, whom were wearing their purple roads. Then again in 1986 during Karl Malone's rookie season. The unique thing about this occurrence was that the Jazz didn't wear their green jerseys as their main roads -- they switched back to the purple jerseys the previous year. But, the match up again was on St. Patrick's Day and this time against Detroit wearing their road jerseys. I know there were a couple instances of teams wearing secondary jerseys -- I believe the 1983-84 San Diego Clippers wore both red and blue road jerseys and I believe the Pacers wore white and gold home jerseys (maybe on the road too?). I was wondering if anyone had any other examples or were familiar with this era's history. Again, it fascinates me, probably more because it's a real hunt to find documentation.
  14. Full project here: https://www.behance.net/gallery/47660267/SD2LA-The-Los-Angeles-Breakers The beach. The palm trees. Hollywood. America's game in the City of Angels. Los Angeles deserves an NFL team that's undoubtedly, indigenously LA. With San Diego returning to it's roots after 55 years in San Diego, they are in need of a new brand. This brand should still pay some homage to the Charger days, but with a fresh take on the identity that also embraces LA, in equilibrium. I sought to feature the LA surf, sun and celebrity culture. I think this brand better speaks to the fan base in LA, versus just slapping "Los Angeles" in front of Chargers.
  15. After watching the Giants' Color Rush throwbacks and mulling the (hopeful) return of blue and gold for the LA Rams, I got to thinking of the return to old logos. A few come to mind as of the past 15-20 years. And, sure, there are many more that could have been used as an example (ie- Islanders, Sabres, Blue Jays, Hawks, Kings, etc) ... But, what other teams are there in the Big 4 that you would like to see a return to a previous logo as their main logo? Here are a few I'd love to see, but I would love to see what many of you have in mind as well ...
  16. Put any logos you think are on here.
  17. I know that there's been a handful of threads like this in the past, but I think it would be really cool if we could eventually come to a consensus of what the ugliest pro sports logos are, with this eventually going over to polls. The goal here is basically just posting in this case NHL logos, the other 3 major sports will come in the future (no offense soccer fans), and voting based on likes for which logo is most hated by the board members (one logo per post). The top ten or so voted ugliest logos will go over to polls where the winner (or I guess loser) will be decided. So, to start things off, in my opinion the ugliest NHL logo ever, the Phoenix Coyotes' Desert Lizard.
  18. In these late weeks I've been working on a new concept for a football team based in my home city, Torino, in Italy. While working I've decided to start a concept about the whole Italian Football League. There will be renaming of teams and expansion of the league. I will be working on the teams but not on the overall league identity, also if a new logo is needed, as, maybe, it could be work for another moment. Just to compare, I will post how the league is now and how it should be in my opinion. The teams in order from the left are: Milano Seamen Bolzano Giants Bergamo Lions Milano Rhinos Giaguari (jaguars) Torino Parma Panthers Roma Grizzlies Aquile (eagles) Ferrara Ancona Dolphins Briganti (brigands) Napoli Bologna Warriors Lazio Marines So, I've expanded the league from the actual 12 members to 26 and I've changed the identity of almost every team (just the Elephants, Guelphs, Saints and Spartans are real existing teams, but not in the IFL). I've totally changed every name in English as it was a nonsense to have some in Italian and some others in English , of course keeping the italian city name. I've decided to skip also very nice uniforms, like Milano Rhinos ones, just because their identities were all wrong. To me a name has to make sense with the history and the tradition of a city, not just be cool. So it will be really important to explain you why I chose certain colors and logos. Critic will be very, very welcome!
  19. Heyo, I've recently started to try to create concepts for sports with ms Paint. But I've having some trouble with finding the correct fonts and logos. I was wondering if anyone has any tips for finding those? but I also wanted to create this thread for any user to share some of their tips for creating good concepts. Because at least for me, starting out is pretty hard. thanks, please share your tips and trix if you like
  20. Concept basketball league. Anyone can upload teams until i feel we have enough teams. start off with just a logo or logo package. Teams can be anywhere in North America.
  21. Hi, I am a first time designer and logo creator. I wanted to design a brand to use for my school's basketball logos. I did some research on this site, as well as others and Google, and came up with my ideas. I used Photoshop to create these and although I do not have much experience with the program, but I think that the logos came out well. Our main colors are royal and white, with grey and black serving as accents, and I tried to incorporate each color into the logos. I would appreciate it if you readers would review my logo designs and give me constructive criticism so that I may make the logos perfect. The blue basketball with white outline and a grey "C" in the middle would serve as the alternate logo for the basketball team. The "C" stands for the city of Columbus and the name of my high school. The grey basketball surrounded by the white "C" in the blue circle would serve as a throwback logo. I was going for a Seattle Supersonics type look, referencing their white "S", yellow basketball, green circle alternate. Thank you for your time and constructive criticism. (ALL LOGOS ARE PROPERTY OF nstevens0 AND ARE FOR MY USE ONLY)
  22. Hey all. I've posted similar projects like this here in the past and just wanted to share. In honor of the NBA season kickoff and Dr. Strange being right around the corner I wanted to unveil my NBA Marvel Logo Mashup Project. This project uses all 30 NBA primary logos. Each logo is combined with a Marvel Comics character. The goal was to mimic each logo as closely to the original as possible. Matching color usage, line weights and fonts. You can see this set and more at my website, wechoosetogotothemoondesign.com Thanks!
