  1. Hello everyone of CCSLC, I had a random idea for a thread. You know those logos that many MLB teams have on the back of their pitchers mounds? I have recently started noticing those more and more and thought many of them are really cool. So post any examples of those that you have seen and like. Here are some that I've seen from either posts on this site or elsewhere. Also--does anyone know how these are made? ]
  2. Hey folks, another concept I'm kicking off, Mississuaga FC. Still alot of work to do, but I feel like there are some cool elements in here that can be used. Basically, Mississauga is known for being a very progressive, afluent, and business-oriented city. I wanted to highlight this semi-futuristic progressive vibe, as well as incorporate the Greater and Lesser Rivers that highlight the geography of the city. The city flag has a cool looking gear/cog thing that I thought could highlight this element well - I may keep the gear as is, or perhaps try something a little more tinker-y, just wanted to see what you guys thought. Also, the city logo has a very cool stylish M that I was hoping to immitate without completely ripping off So here's what I have so far. Far from done, but I think theres some potential and was just hoping for some guidance. Guys haven't steered me wrong so far so I'm putting faith in you I know it's kinda funny looking, but I really think it has potential. I was hoping to give the feel of the Rivers(blue lines) splitting the machinery of the city. Thanks guys (and gals?)
  3. Hey folks, continuing on Canadian soccer series. Did up a replacement logo for London, Ontario, also known as forest city, I included a stylized tree, along with a red cross to signify London's strong history of Medical Research. The black squirrel appears all around London's numerous parks. Current logo for comparison:
  4. Hey folks, looking to get feedback on a new one. Regina, Saskatchewan, was formerly known as Pile of Bones back around it's founding, due to scenes like this one While I realize this may not be the prettiest thing to acknowledge in a teams history, It is an essential part of the cities history, and I hope gives it kind of a wild wild west feel. The Queen of England later requested that the name be changed to Regina, which literally means the Reigning Queen. Hence the nickname of this club would be Queen of Bones. Anyways, heres what I have so far - as always appreciate your feedback
  5. Howdy Guys I've got a big one for you, a project I've been working of for a long time now and finally have the majority of it done so I feel comfortable posting it. McElroy19's AHL Rebrand This Idea started with my Logo predictions for the new AHL West Logos and grew from there. There will be some familiar favorites of mine mixed in with a whole bunch of new logos I've done just for this project. Up First the AHL: I like the AHL logo as is but for the sake of this rebrand I felt a McElroy update was necessary. So here it is check back tonight for the first team logo!
  6. I've created an alternate history of what would become today's equivalent to the NHL. It all starts with two independent leagues, the Continental Hockey Association(CHA) and the Pacific Hockey League(PHL) The CHA, founded in Quebec City in 1917 began with 6 teams across New England and Eastern Canada. The PHL, founded in Vancouver in 1920 began with 6 teams across British Columbia, Washington and Oregon. This thread will give a timeline of the expansion and eventual merging of these two leagues with logos that I have created for the teams. Please feel free to give feedback and criticism. First I will give you a chart that shows the teams in the CHA and PHL and the map above. CHA North Division Quebec City Harfangs Moncton Maroons Halifax Citadels South Division Bangor Blue Stockings Portland Lobsters Boston Colonials PHL North Division Vancouver Killer Whales Victoria Thunderbirds Kelowna Kermodes South Division Seattle Cascades Spokane Chiefs Portland Pioneers I will start the Timeline in the next post and start incorporating logos. In the meantime feel free to give feedback and suggestions.
  7. With the possibility of Las vegas receiving an NHL franchise I came up with a few possible team logos depending on whatever they are gonna call this team. Black Knights doesn't seem like a great name in my opinion, and the NHL might no like a team with a name that is based off of gambling so even though "The Aces" may be the best option, I decided to avoid it and other gambling related names, also because many concepts for Aces have been done already. The "Bighorns" was also an option as the Bighorn sheep is the Nevada state animal but a minor league basketball team in Reno already has the name and a few concepts for that have been done as well. Here are the names of teams that I thought could be a possibility and didn't sound too terribly cliche. 1. The Nukes The Nukes pays homage to the nuclear testing that occurred north of Las Vegas during the 40s-60s Sometimes the mushroom clouds could be scene from downtown. Black Knight color scheme of black gold and silver. 2. The Silver Rattlers/Sidewinders This could be either two teams "The Sidewinders" which is a snake native to the las vegas desert, or "Silver Rattlers" as a nod to the silver mining industry. 3. The Sidewinders Another version for the Sidewinders name. 4. The Neons Nothing says Las Vegas like the flashing neon lights of the strip. Three hockey pucks line the bottom. 5. The Silver Bullets This one could carry some controversy to it due to "bullets" what do you think? 5. The Mustangs A personal favorite of mine. Nevada is home to more than half of North Americas wild horse population and can be found from southern to northern Nevada. I'll probably make more logos for other possible names and other versions in the future but for now feedback on these is much appreciated. Also let me know if you'd like to see Jerseys of these.
  8. Hey guys, I thought a good topic is your favorite workmark logos. They can be from any league. Here a couple of my favorites: Not sure why they are both Cleveland
  9. Hi guys, I'm currently working on this logo for an Australian Rules Football team called the Sharks, would love to hear some feedback as I've been staring at it for too many hours! The brief included that only black and white were to be used and that a black 'V' to be incorporated into the design. The wordmark is bit of a placeholder at the moment - its not that exciting but it's along the lines that I'm heading to eventually. Thanks in advance!
  10. Wanted to post this for a while now. Just wasn't sure if I should post it under Sports Logos or Concepts. I chose Concepts since my logo was never utilized by the team even though it was purchased by them. A little bit about the team, They are the Brownsville Charros and played in the ULB (United League Baseball) during the 2014 season, the league folded at the conclusion of the season. If you notice the dates on my template this logo was created back in 08 & was to be used in their 09 season which never happened. Jumping forward to 2014...I see a newpaper article saying the Brownsville Charros will finally be playing in the ULB (I got a little excited thinking I would finally see my logo or at least a variation of it make it onto the field & other forms of media). What I saw as their official mark was..well you be the judge. Not to say the mark I made back then was top notch but it was what they asked for which was an updated version of their original Charros logo from their 1938 minor league team that played in the Texas Valley League. Looking at my logo now I would definitely change some things to it & simplify it much more but all in all I was pretty happy with it at the time & it's still not half bad for something I did 7 yrs ago. As always your C&C is welcome. 2014 Brownsville Charros official logo. 1938 Brownsville Charros Logo (best image I could find)
  11. I found a thread on NBA reddit someone shared mixed logos from the different eras that a friend of the poster made and I thought it would be worth sharing on here. Here is the thread on NBA Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/nba/comments/3cz2me/my_friend_has_spent_the_last_few_months_working/ Here is the imgur post by tmac6886: http://imgur.com/a/6rg0A The creator of the logos is tmac6886, all credit goes to him: My favorite mixed logos: 76ers Bucks Cavs Clippers Kings Knicks Mavericks Nets Nuggets Spurs Suns T-Wolves Blazers Warriors
  12. Happy Memorial Day everyone! Ok, so a little background on this. I've done many NFL Redesigns in the past, I believe this is my 4th attempt. I had one going pretty strong in the late summer of last year, but the start of school interfered and I never got back to it. This year, I have many already pre-done to prevent me falling behind and now that summer is just beginning, I will have much more free time on my hands. I believe my series will be the best I've had yet and hope everyone enjoys this. I will be doing logo sets first and probably going back to uniforms after that. So for now, just be ready for logos. First up, The Arizona Cardinals. ARIZONA CARDINALS I've seen many different approaches done with the Cardinals uniform-wise, but logo-wise, not so much. This was the first one I did in this series, and did so many months ago, so it might need improvement. There's some stuff I need to fix, but I can't quite figure out what. I haven't added a wordmark, but I might soon. Suggestions Appreciated, Hope you enjoy this series that I hope and plan to finally complete. There's been a lot of NFL Redesigns on the board lately so I hope this starting with logos makes it stand out.
  13. Sorry Guys...I only wanted to show it for a few days. Thank you for the feedback!

  15. Hello everyone, I was recently checking out the NFL/Marvel logo mashup topic along with similar pages and thought they were awesome. It inspired me to do something similar, but I doubt I could live up to those already done with the NFL and major comics like Marvel, so I decided to go to the 2nd tier of football and comics and mashed up the Arena Football League and Dark Horse Comics. This presented an extra challenge, as I'm familiar with some Dark Horse comic characters but not a ton. I made the rule that I was working with Arena team's primary logos, and tried to match comic characters based on team colors, logo and general concept. I'l include the original team name with logo since they aren't as well known. This is my first time sharing on this forum, and I only have Paint.NET to work with so please be gentle, lol. Here is a list of teams names linking to posts as I post them, and below that are my first two logos, I hope you like them! Arizona Blue Rajas (Rattlers/The Blue Raja) Cleveland Spartans (Gladiators/300) Jacksonville Sammaels (Sharks/Sammael) Las Vegas Sinners (Outlaws/Sin City) Los Angeles Liz (KISS/Elizabeth Sherman) New Orleans Hellboys-Ver. 2 (Voodoo/Hellboy) Orlando Predators (Predators/Predator) Philadelphia Abe Sapians (Soul/Abe Sapian) - In this post Portland Feedback (Thunder/Feedback) San Jose Tricksters (Sabercats/The Mask) Spokane Shovel (Shock/The Shoveler) Tampa Bay Xenomorphs (Storm/Xenomorph) Philadelphia Abe Sapians (based off Philadelphia Soul):
  16. This is my attempt at a concept for the Islanders. I was trying to modernize their old lighthouse logo, but I'm unsure what to add to it or how I should revise it. Maybe they could use this as a patch. I don't know where I want to go with this yet. Advice/C&C is very helpful. Thanks for reading and thanks in advance for the C&C.
  17. So here I am again. I don't post very many concepts on here because I can only use .svg templates and they are hard to find but I found some I really like, huge shout out to the now not very active gingerbreadmann for the templates. Anyway, let's get to the actual uniforms: Here is the home: I really like the mountain striping so I tried to make a simpler form of that on the bottom. The CA logo font is Richardson Brand Accelerator and the NOB and numbers are Pointer Sans (a Conrad font, but aren't they all here?). Thanks for reading!

Just wanted to share a new logo design I just completed of a football fantasy league team for a member of these boards. As always C&C welcome. Thanks for checking in!
  19. Hello! I've recently been creating "team motto designs" for my own enjoyment. This is my second post for this, as my old post was getting a little messy (my fault). I've made some for my favorite teams: I can get the approximate colors for every team in the NHL, NBA, NFL,MLS, EPL and MLB. I will try my best to find the right colors for foreign teams and I will try to use the correct font but that isn't always doable. ( I couldn't find a navy font, so I used the air force font for the navy one) If you would like to request some designs made for you, feel free to comment in this format: Team Name Preferred Motto (If you dont know, I will try to find one) Preferred Logo Preferred Font (I use dafont.com) Any other requirements (Certain colors, throwbacks, etc.) This is definitely not an only-requests post. I would LOVE any constructive criticism in the comments and will take any suggestions into consideration. Please cut me some slack if they're not Hi-def 9000p, I'm just using Microsoft 1997 with Microsoft Paint on an old Windows Vista computer. I don't have the money or the material to make my first-time concepts like a professional graphics designer would. (but I sure wish I could ) I cannot guarantee when your request will be done, because I don't know how many requests I will get. The motto designs that you see above you were invented by me. I have never seen any sports motto designs ever before, so if you have seen something like this on sportslogos.net or somewhere else, i didn't copy it. I would like to see it though, so please leave a link below if you have seen motto designs before, it would help me improve. These designs will work for your signatures, and were designed to. If you use your requested designs, I humbly ask of you to cite me in your signature. Just a "Team motto signature designed by Word02" would be great. Thanks! Instructions on adding signature images To add a image to your signature, go to your profile and click the "Edit my profile" button. So now, you should have a tab on a left for "Signature". Use the "polaroid of the tree" button on the editor toolbar to add the image and enjoy (I hope ^^) your new signature. I was inspired by his "All-Sports Championship Banners Signatures by requests" and decided I wanted to do my own designs over the summer. I borrowed his "table of contents" and his "instructions for adding signatures." Thank you so much!
  20. How many of you have the same fascination that I have with logos behind the plate or along the baselines? Maybe it's because rinks, courts, and football fields tend to get more attention for their designs, I am especially interested when baseball teams do anything along those lines, even with grass patterns. Maybe it's also the sacredness of the diamond that makes it more intriguing when you see logos or designs on a baseball field. For some reason I like how the Angels logo looks behind home plate... ...although perhaps some of you prefer what has been the norm at Yankee Stadium or Dodger Stadium, with their white cap logos behind the plate. Do you prefer an unspoiled baseball field or are there any designs over the years, at any level, that you have a liking for? How about the rising popularity of mound logos?
  21. This thread may have already been made but I couldn't find a close match, so here we go! When I first saw the 2015/16 NBA All-Star game logo, I thought it looked like something the New Orleans Pelicans would use if they swapped the city names. Are there any logos you thought another team should wear other than the team it was for? Post your answers here, I hope this turns out to be an awesome thread.
  22. Hey guys- My name is Stephen Smith, and I am a new member. I have stalked the boards for a little while, but finally decided to join in. My first topic I will post here is on one of my personal hockey leagues: the United League of Ice Hockey. HISTORY The ULIH was founded on April 6th, 1946, and began play on November 3rd of that year with four teams: the Pittsburgh Cougars, Detroit Bulldogs, Toronto Tigers, and the Boston Portsides. As the league grew in popularity, it expanded west then south, and by 2006 had a total of 20 teams. The most recent Williams Cup champions are the Detroit Power, with the league MVP going to Utah Scouts goalie Tyler Simmons. TEAMS The league is divided up into 2 divisions with 10 teams in each: EAST: Detroit Power Montreal Saints Toronto Tigers Boston Ports New York Knights Miami Skippers Chicago Stars Minnesota Thunderbirds Washington Eagles Tennessee Pioneers Philadelphia* WEST: Seattle Metros Vancouver Kodiaks Calgary Steers Denver Bandits Los Angeles Quakes Arizona Scorpions Houston Eclipse San Francisco Internationals Utah Scouts Las Vegas Devils Saskatchewan* *=Expansions needing names To start the series, here is the division and league logos: Now I know these are a bit big-I'll try to get that fixed. In the meantime, C&C is welcome! EDIT*: Montreal Patriotes renamed the Montreal Saints.
  23. What teams do you think have had too many color changes throughout their histories? Houston Astros- They stayed consistent until navy and gold went off into brick and sand. Atlanta Hawks- They've used every color it seems like and can't figure out what is an iconic combo. For me, it's yellow/red. Cleveland Cavs- Sort of like the Hawks, I think their current combo is beautiful but they went through too many colors to get here. Vancouver Canucks- The green and blue is the signature, but they did flip their combo in a weird way for almost 20 years. The NFL has been the most consistent IMO of keeping a general team-by-team color combo that is signature for every team. What are some of your favorite/least favorite color changes, and what current teams would you like to see maybe change colors? P.S. Miami Marlins made a big mistake ditching their teal.
  24. Hello Sportslogos.net! This is my first topic, so it may seem a bit odd, but I was inspired by the fact that I have two favorite teams, the new Sportslogos.net logos, and another topic by LLHFHockey. Either way, the point of this is to get your own custom logo, with two of your favorite teams' logos, all within the Sportslogos.net logo. (Lots of logos.) Some examples are posted below.
