  1. Hey all. Mark Cuban has just decided to build a new stadium in Pittsburgh and start up an MLS expansion team, Pittsburgh FC! (I wish!) Soccer kits and logo design are new for me so any CC is much appreciated Only have the home jersey done for now. Let me know if I should go on with the other two jerseys. Thanks! Sorry for the AWFUL crop job. Not sure what was happening.
  2. Hey Guys! It has been awhile since I've put up a concept, so here we go. This is a concept for the MLS Chicago Fire. I tried to make it more modern so it can fit with the new "feel" of the MLS. I kept a few touches from the old logo and some from around the MLS. I hope you guys like this one! C&C Welcome! Thanks!
  3. Hello all! Haven't been on the boards for a while but more time is free for me to do some designing so without further aideu - MLS 2020 - A look into the future Heres a few things to note before we get into it - Posts will come somewhat regularly, but i do have to be a student, so no guarantees. Many Thanks, Asterix
  4. Concept done for the MLS team in Atlanta before the team name was announced Check full project here:
  5. Never been a fan of the Seattle Sounders badge - been mulling over ideas for the last few months, finally tried it out, fairly happy with the outcome but C/C always welcome. some of the wordmark looks a little clunky, but it's a draft so maybe just ignore that for now, I'm aware. Thanks guys!

  7. I got my first good look at the new Minnesota United logo, and noticed that although it is largely unchanged, there were a few minor alterations. We all knew about replacing the full name with "MNUTD", but there's more. The loon has been enlarged, and the wing now has a gray outline around the feathers where they rise above the shield. The star has also been moved over a bit. The colors may also have been tweaked, or that could just be a result of inaccurate logos online. The current logo was taken from Wikipedia, next year's from the mothership.
  8. The title says it all. The reason I brought this up is because me & a buddy were discussing ugly uniforms. It made me notice that the State of Colorado has ugly jerseys galore. MLB- The Rockies are a team that all love to hate on here. The too-much black, the vest jersey, everything about the set looks bland and bad. NHL- The Avs wear RBK Edge Piped awfulness and I hate the new C shoulder patch logo. And I don't care, that alternate jersey is bland and needs tweaking. Plus, Navy and Maroon don't work often. NBA- The Nuggets jerseys looked better before the unnecessary wordmark & number colour change they made last year, which I still never got. Why use black numbers? The yellow alternate jersey looked better before they changed the wordmark too to that Rainbow- era wordmark last year too and that jersey was fine and should be the basis for a new set. That sleeved alternate (The White-Gold jersey) is meh. The jersey itself is awful, but the shorts look okay. NFL- I don't care how iconic you think they are, the Broncos look dated. Now that Manning is gone, this should be the time to change and re-modernize one of your much better looking sets. MLS- The Rapids are nothing special & that yellow jersey they wear is ugly. So, just my thoughts. Who do you guys nominate or do you agree with my choice of Colorado?
  9. Hello, this is my second thread that I have started. I have an international kit thread going as well if you want to check it out. NYCFC Concept

So here is a NYCFC concept, that I made. Made in Paint, so it's a little rough. First kit is light blue with orange and white accents. I wanted to add more orange into their identity. Shorts and socks white. Man City connection as with their current kits(owned by the same company). Clash is a nod to their stadium partners, the Yankees. With deep navy blue and white pinstripes. An NYC flag is located in the jock tag, and a pentagon(NYC's 5 boroughs) under the collar. Messi and Aguero are the names because this was originally for my MLS Super League where all the world's best players played in MLS, but that has lost my interest. the font is Thornaby by Conrad. Also now by Nike. C&C appreciated.
  11. Hey Guys! If you remember, I already made a Revolution Logo concept, I just had an idea and wanted to run with it! This logo is a simple crest with 13 stripes for the US flag. Also, I have "N" and "E" for New England that fills in for the stars. 1776 for the year of United States Independence. And there you have it, another Revolution Logo Concept. Hope you like this one! C&C Welcome!
  12. Let's start with a new series. For this one I imagined what if the MLS made a deal with Umbro and all the clubs started to be sponsored by the Diamond Brand. I know, if the MLS ever change the sponsor, the new one probably would be Nike, but I wanted to use Umbro because it's a brand which is reborning from its ashes and it's making great designs again. In each post I'll be uploading a home and away kit design for each club, starting from the team with most titles (LA Galaxy) and ending with the last one to start playing (the Miami expansion team). NOTE: I started making these designs back in January, so, if one of them resemble some of the newest designs, it's just a coincidence.
  13. Recently, I've been wanting to do a MLS series but I didn't want it to be generic so I came up with the idea of tweak each team to have a NFL Color Rush type feel. Here's Chicago! The home is based off the stripes from the flag of Chicago and the away is a nod to the original 1998 set.
  14. Hi guys, here is my latest rebrand, a brand identity concept of MLS Real Salt Lake. I've never really found the team's name and identity very suitable for an American soccer club, specially not for one being based in Utah. There was a time when fans actually hated the current logo and name of their club a lot more than nowadays. I guess most fans just got used to it throughout the past years. However, I decided to rebrand the team's logo package my way. Gone is the European name and crest, plus the colors. The logo now looks more American style and the team's name has changed from Real (Royal) to Highlanders, a popular name suggestion among fans which nevertheless couldn't convince the ownership to get rid of the Euro football homage eventually. A look at Real Salt Lake's current mark: Primary logo detail Alternate logo detail Wordmark logo on team color backgrounds

  16. So, I became a huge MLS (and soccer) fan when Orlando City SC played its first MLS game in front of a sold-out Citrus Bowl in my hometown. Now, as the league has declared its goal of 28 teams by 2024, I will try and predict the kits at this time. The current 20 franchises will be joined by 8 expansion teams (Atlanta, Minnesota, Miami, LA, Sacramento, Baltimore Phoenix, Detroit, St. Louis). I also have a few surprises in store. RULES 1) This is just a minor pet peeve of mine, but I really don't like how in the country where we call the game "soccer", we use "FC". So, every team that currently uses FC in their name is changed to SC. I know some team names don't sound as good this way (FC Dallas/SC Dallas), but I think it's the way to go for this league. 2) Teams may pick what company designs their kits. 3) Mono-red is kept to a minimum. There are WAY too many mono-red teams in MLS, and I want to change that. It's about the equivalent of red-white stripes in the EPL, or red and navy in MLB. EDIT: Phoenix now an expansion city instead of Baltimore. I think Baltimore is too close to DC to support a separate team. TEAM MAP (on a very distorted North America)
  17. Back with a soccer team rebrand. I still like their current logo, however I've decided to give FC Dallas a new identity. Bovine blue is a touch darker, while Republic Red is a little brighter. Primary mark detail Alternate mark detail Partial mark detail
  18. I guess if you wanted to you could extend this to design as well. Anyway, what are some unusual color schemes that have worked well? I immediately think of the NBA in the 1990s, where the Nuggets (navy, copper, red), Grizzlies (teal, black, salmon---really unusual third color), Raptors (purple, red, black), Sonics (dark green, maroon, yellow), and Jazz (purple, copper, black, sky blue) all worked with unusual schemes, although the Nuggets watered it down a bit with a very conservative design. (You could also say that the Edmonton Oilers had a very similar color scheme to those Nuggets for awhile, although the Oilers' "copper" was really more like gold and navy, red, and gold is not an unusual color scheme at all.) Alternatively, what are some that haven't worked? You could argue either way on the '90s Nuggets, I think. Obviously the Detroit Pistons' teal, maroon, yellow, and black getup watered down what had been a very strong brand. The early-aughts Bills' dark blue, red, royal blue, and "nickel" uniforms were atrocious, possibly the worst in NFL history. The Miami Dolphins have always had a unique scheme, but while they don't look awful right now, they probably do look worse than at any other time in their history. The original Buccaneers would be another that would split opinion. Anyway, my faves: 1. 1980s-1996 Dolphins 2. Original Grizzlies 3. Expansion Rays and D-backs (put together) Least faves: 1. 2002-10 Bills 2. 2002-10 Bills 3. 2002-10 Bills Dishonorable mention: '90s Pistons
  19. Hey guys. Now I don't know if you would consider this a "concept" or a wallpaper, and I don't know if I stole someone's idea, I know I'm not making sense, but here I go. Recently, I have come up with "Sports States", and I don't have any words to describe the idea, so I'll give you guys an example. Yes, these are wallpapers. But I don't really want to explain much, sizes may vary, blah blah blah, etc. All I'm saying is that I'm making these "wallpapers" and I am also accepting requests for wallpapers. All you have to do is give me a conference or a league division (I'm not doing full leagues) and I will whip up a nice Sports States wallpaper for you. I will allow requests for most sports (Although I'm not sure about lacrosse), if it's college, professional or sometimes high school sports, I would allow it. I don't want to get this too long so I'm ending this post and I will start accepting requests.
  20. The rules here are simple: No rebranding, and no adding new colors to the scheme. I'll start with the NFL: AFC East Patriots: No side panels. Dolphins: More orange. Jets: Standardize the shade of green. Bills: De-taper the helmet stripe. North Bengals: No side panels. Browns: Remove wordmark from pants. Steelers: Dump bumblebee alternates. Ravens: Put stripes on black pants. South Colts: White facemask? (Can't really think of one for them.) Titans: Make helmet stripe more, um, "normal." Jaguars: Kill gradient. Preferably back to plain black helmet. Texans: Make red jersey primary. West Chiefs: Get sleeve stripes fixed where they're not getting cut off midway---probably move them up. Broncos: Trim side panels so they don't intrude onto the front of the jersey. Chargers: Make light blue jersey primary. Raiders: Can't think of anything. NFC East Cowboys: Drop black trim from sleeve stripes. Giants: Red alternate? Add small amount of red to blue jersey? Not sure. Eagles: Green pants full-time with white jersey, never with green jersey. Redskins: Burgundy pants at least as an option. North Lions: Drop black altogether. Packers: Kill blue throwbacks. Bears: Orange numerals on blue jerseys full-time. Vikings: Shiny helmet instead of matte. South Panthers: Bring back black pants. Saints: No black-over-black. Falcons: 1990s throwbacks. Buccaneers: Change number font. West Rams: Gold pants. 49ers: Kill black alternate. Seahawks: Slightly more green (for what it is, they pull off their look extremely well). Cardinals: Kill red pants.

  22. Hello. A while back, I had a concept that I never finished. Now, I'm redoing it. As with my first version, one helmet applies here and some teams will have nicknames to fit with the sport. As for the expansion teams, I'm undecided for LAFC and AtlU, but I will be doing one for Minnesota, since they have a previous incarnation to draw from and there will be ones for the Mutiny, Fusion and Chivas as well and ones for Sporting, FCD and the Red Bulls' previous incarnations. C/C please. Template Credits: ADW77 Eastern Conference Chicago Fire: Home, Away, Alternate Columbus Crew (SC): Home, Away, Alternate V.1 | Home, Away, Alternate V.2 D.C. 23. We're officially just one year away from MLS in Atlanta! I decided to post an idea for the soccer kit, or soccer shirt really, for Atlanta United FC. The concepts are based on the 2016 Adidas design being used in the MLS this season. Any constructive feedback is welcome.
