  1. http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/ncaaf/2016/07/28/when-is-the-college-football-playoff-date-change-bill-hancock-new-years-eve/87644010/ After intense opposition and declining television ratings, the College Football Playoff has discontinued its attempt to create a new tradition on New Year’s Eve. Playoff executive director Bill Hancock told USA TODAY Sports the event’s management committee has decided to change the dates of the Playoff semifinals In four of seven years when those games were scheduled for Dec. 31. They now will instead be played on the preceding Saturday. The other three years, New Year’s Day falls on Saturday or is designated a Federal holiday.
  2. i came up with this concept when i was thinking about what would creighton look like if they had a football team so without further ado the Creighton bluejays
  3. Well All, I am having fun working the templates in Paint and PowerPoint. They are no where near professional, so I will call them "Drafts." But I will be posting up schools as I progress with my justification/descriptions.

  6. Just wondering what everyone's favorite NCAA Division 1-AA/FCS logo is (if you have one) Note: No Division 2 or Division 3 logos. Just Division 1 logos whose football team is in the FCS
  7. What if the CFP was 64 teams? Here is my concept of what the bracket would have looked like this year. I used CBS 128 rankings at the end of the season for seeding.
  8. There are some big name colleges out there that dont have football programs like Marquette or Xavier ect. So I decided to make some concept helmets of the colleges that dont have football and I just might post some uniform concepts if requested. If there is a College you want to see just let me know and I will do my best to make that concept for you. Feedback is always much appreciated! Alabama-Huntsville Chargers Cal-State Northridge Matadors Florida Gulf Coast Eagles North Florida Ospreys Seton Hall Pirates
  9. Well I haven't posted in a while, so I thought I'd grace the boards with something I've been working on. I always thought that NCAA Hockey uniforms look way too similar to one another. I began to redesign the top 25 and decided to make it a series. I never finished it, but I got some of the better ones done. So here's the first one! This was probably one of the best concepts I've done in a long while. The striping is the exact same on both uniforms, with slants and a navy outline on two red stripes. The half and half numbers were a last second addition and I thought they complimented the set nicely. How does it fare with the audience of the boards? May post more, leave your thoughts below!

  11. I'm sure this has been done before. Mods, please merge this with another thread if necessary. I'll start off with the NFL. 12. Illinois seeks new mascot 9 years after Chief Illiniwek's removal Ala UND it will probably be a hawk!
  13. I always thought Wisconsin's football uniforms were somewhat boring. And I didn't like that they had uniforms so similar to division rival Nebraska. I liked the red helmets they had in 2013 and 2014 (Ex. one, ex. two) to change things up a bit but the uniforms still needed some work. When Under Armour took over and unveiled the their new uniforms last month I was pretty happy with what they did by keeping the traditional look but still making some interesting changes. I liked the "Forever Forward" theme of the new uniforms but I thought the changes were too subtle (Only having one very thin arrow on each stripe). So I kept with the "Forever Forward" theme and made some tweaks here and there. The most noticeable change I made was to the stripe. I made the stripe arrows thicker and added more arrows throughout the uniform (3 on helmet, 2 per sleeve, and 3 on each side of pants). It's hard to see but I put the "Forever Forward" logo on the helmet bumper. I kept the Badger Bold (modified Aachen) font for the numbers. I replaced the "W" logo on the chest with the wordmark and I removed the wordmark from the leg/thigh area. Lastly, I know the 3rd pants design is a bit out there for Wisconsin but I was just trying something different (I'm not necessarily a fan of it). Please give any c&c you have. If I get enough feedback I might start doing some other college teams too. Home uniform... Away uniform... Football field with new endzone wordmarks...
  14. First of all, this is the 2nd concept I have posted but the first one posted was anonymous in the "Phoenix: Russell Athletic Competition Phase 3" (I was Iowa State). Clearly I wasn't the best in that competition but I got a few votes so that lead me to believe I was ready to start my own concept threads. Secondly, I didn't know what to call these so if you can think of anything else feel free to share. Lastly, thanks to Brandon Moore for showing me how to make the players like this in my request for how to make the ESPN College Football ads. On to the concept... I wanted to make something like these for the upcoming NFL draft to post on on social media as each pick was being made. So I made some of previous players drafted in the last few years to get some C&C. I'm not sure if I should add the player's position or draft year or something else. EDIT: These players listed below are all posted. 2015 Draft picks start on page 4 AJ Green (Georgia To Cincinnati) Alfred Morris (FAU To Washington) Allen Robinson (Penn St To Jacksonville) Andrew Luck (Stanford To Indianapolis) Anthony Barr (UCLA To Minnesota) Antonio Brown (Central Michigan To Pittsburgh) Bishop Sankey (Washington To Tennessee) Blake Bortles (Central Florida To Jacksonville) Bradley Roby (Ohio St To Denver) Brandin Cooks (Oregon St To New Orleans) Calvin Johnson (Georgia Tech To Detroit) Calvin Pryor (Louisville To New York[A]) Cam Newton (Auburn To Carolina) Chris Borland (Wisconsin To San Francisco) CJ Mosley (Alabama To Baltimore) Colin Kaepernick (Nevada To San Francisco) Connor Shaw (South Carolina To Cleveland [undrafted]) De’Antnony Thomas (Oregon To Kansas City) Demarco Murray (Oklahoma To Dallas) Eddie Lacy (Alabama To Green Bay) Giovani Bernard (North Carolina To Cincinnati) Ha Ha Clinton-Dix (Alabama To Green Bay) Jake Matthews (Texas A&M To Atlanta) Janoris Jenkins (Florida/North Alabama To St Louis) Jared Abbrederis (Wisconsin To Green Bay) Jarvis Landry (LSU To Miami) JJ Watt (Wisconsin To Houston) Johnny Manziel (Texas A&M To Cleveland) Jordan Matthews (Vanderbilt To Philadelphia) Julio Jones (Alabama To Atlanta) Keenan Allen (California To San Diego) Kelvin Benjamin (Florida St To Carolina) Khalil Mack (Buffalo To Oakland) Kyle Fuller (Virginia Tech To Chicago) Luke Kuechly (Boston College To Carolina) Manti Te’o (Notre Dame To San Diego) Marquise Lee (USC To Jacksonville) Mike Evans (Texas A&M To Tampa Bay) Montee Ball (Wisconsin To Denver) Nick Toon (Wisconsin To New Orleans) Odell Beckham Jr (LSU To New York[N]) Patrick Peterson (LSU To Arizona) Randall Cobb (Kentucky To Green Bay) Robert Griffin III (Baylor To Washington) Rob Gronkowski (Arizona To New England) Russell Wilson (Wisconsin To Seattle) Ryan Tannehill (Texas A&M To Miami) Sammy Watkins (Clemson To Buffalo) Seantrel Henderson (Miami To Buffalo) Teddy Bridgewater (Louisville To Minnesota) Tre Mason (Auburn To St Louis)
  15. The new logos for Michigan Tech, coming 2017.
  16. I am suffering from off-season blues and I have made some NCAA bowl game logos and put them on a field. I pretty much based most of them off real bowl game logos. The Red Bull Bowl one I got kinda lazy and just used the Red Bull "Can You Make It?" logo Please feel free share any of your bowl game concepts! Bleacher Report Ann Arbor Bowl (Ann Arbor, MI) Coca Cola Toronto Bowl (Toronto, Canada) Dick's Sporting Goods Bowl (Iowa City, IA) Napa Auto Parts Bowl (Atlanta, GA) Red Bull Bowl (Houston, TX)
  17. All in all I was impressed with the Nike uniforms with the Jumpman logo on it that Michigan rolled out. And this is coming from a Michigan State fan. However I felt there were a couple things that could be tweaked and so I tweaked them. -kept the helmet as they released it. The satin update was a nice touch. -added the double stripes to the blue uniform and moved the numbers to the shoulder accordingly -added the M to the base of the collar. -added the M to the hip, and also added stripes. -the white uniform remains mostly unchanged. -the only issue with adding the stripes to the maize pants is will it look consistent enough between the white jersey and the pant stripes. -white socks, navy shoes. C & C welcome.
  18. Hi guys. This is my latest work, a rebrand of the NCAA Division I Georgia Southern Eagles. Their current identity is from 2010. Here is a link to their logo package: http://www.sportslogos.net/logos/list_by_team/688/Georgia_Southern_Eagles/
  19. If Maine isn't thinking of overhauling their current logo, then they should be. IMO it looks like a mess. I took a look through some black bear reference photos and drew up a logo. I'm pretty comfortable with the shape (although it could still be missing something) but need help on settling in on colors: A,B,C,D are based on current colors- E,F are more natural. Let me know what you think. A B CD EF And a black version:
  20. I started working on this logo for something completely different but I thought it looked good in VT colors and worked as a good Nike style update. I might do uniforms later but probably not, I guess it depends on the response here. Anyway thanks for looking and leave a comment if you can!
  21. Hey guys! Been awhile since I posted a concept. I've been busy finishing up college and while I was there, I was inspired to go back to my roots. I attended York College of Pennsylvania and they have never had a football team. During my time at YCP, I often herd students ask "What if our school had football?" This project took that question and gave York the full Nike treatment with custom uniforms and helmets. Each set has interchangeable pants with three jersey options. The green jersey is the main home, the white is the away, and the black is the alternate. Each jersey includes a patch with the Capital Athletic Conference logo as well as the pants. The "P" shaped logo is for my graphic design identity, Pigmentum. You can check it out here. Let me know what you think! It may be a little while before I can make any adjustments but I'm happy to hear what everyone has to say. HOME ROAD ALTERNATE
  22. What's up with metallic colors being dull the past few years, especially in football? Also, what's up with regular colors (purple, black, yellow, blue) being given matte finishes in football helmets? Are the two trends really one and the same? Personally I don't much care for either.
  23. Hey guys. Now I don't know if you would consider this a "concept" or a wallpaper, and I don't know if I stole someone's idea, I know I'm not making sense, but here I go. Recently, I have come up with "Sports States", and I don't have any words to describe the idea, so I'll give you guys an example. Yes, these are wallpapers. But I don't really want to explain much, sizes may vary, blah blah blah, etc. All I'm saying is that I'm making these "wallpapers" and I am also accepting requests for wallpapers. All you have to do is give me a conference or a league division (I'm not doing full leagues) and I will whip up a nice Sports States wallpaper for you. I will allow requests for most sports (Although I'm not sure about lacrosse), if it's college, professional or sometimes high school sports, I would allow it. I don't want to get this too long so I'm ending this post and I will start accepting requests.
  24. In a lucrative deal full of monetary figures and lots of Nikespeak, the NCAA goes full NFL and makes Nike the official uniform provider for all 127 FBS football teams. Ok, the foundation for the topic is set. It's been a while since I've posted a concept and college football is getting closer and closer. Nike has been hit and miss the last few times, though UNC and Michigan State were definite wins. Beginning with the ACC and Boston College Boston College has always been conservative with their uniform look over the years and I saw no reason to change that. -iconic gold helmet now has a triple stripe, maroon facemask. -went with the Flutie-era double stripes on the jerseys. Colored the cap sleeves on the white and gold jerseys. I thought it looked better. -pants have the same triple stripe as the helmet. C and C welcome.
  25. This thread is for any suggestions, ideas, or recommendations, you have for a new NCAA Football game. This includes any game features you'd like to see added, changed, or deleted.
