  1. It's that time of the year everyone! Another year of uniform speculation, teases and announcements is about to be upon us. Based on what's been announced and stated, we should be having three uniform changes upon us this spring. The Houston Texans The Detroit Lions and... The Denver Broncos The New York Jets have also reached the end of the "five-year rule" and are now also eligible for a redesign, but there's been no word on if that's gonna happen. And it also sadly appears that the Tennessee Titans won't be changing, entering year SEVEN with their hideous clownsuits.
  2. Hello, good folks at the SportsLogos.net forums! What I'm about to introduce is something I've been wanted to get off the ground for a while now, but here it is, I previously announced this several weeks in advance on my profile's status update, but this is the start of a multi-sport concept series called "Into the 816-Verse" this series will feature a mixture of breathing new life into Kansas City's forgotten sports teams and a little bit of alternate history. Over the course of this thread, I will be updating my profile banner with each finished concept until it eventually becomes a full collage of every logo in this concept thread plus all of my previous KC-related concepts. All of the primary marks in this series will be Fiverr commissions. FOOTBALL Kansas City Cowboys/Marshals (NFL) Marshals (ex-Dallas Texans) (NFL) Kansas City Blues (NFL) Kansas City Stars (NFL) Kansas City Renegades (CPIFL) Kansas City Mules (NFL) Super Bowl LXII (NFL) BASEBALL Kansas City Mules (MLB) Royals-style Athletics-style Kansas City T-Bones (AAPB) Kansas City Packers (FL) Kansas City Blues (AAA) Kansas City Blue Sox (A) Kansas City Giants (NLB) Kansas City Royal Giants (NLB) Kansas City Maroons (NLB) BASKETBALL Kansas City Knights (ABA) NBA-style Kansas City Grillers (ABA) Kansas City Tornadoes (TBL) Kansas City Mustangs (WBA/WNBA) HOCKEY Kansas City Blades (IHL) Kansas City Outlaws (UHL) SOCCER Kansas City Wizards (MLS) Classic colors Kansas City Comets (MASL) Kansas City Spurs (NASL) BONUS Kansas City Royals (NBA) Classic colors Kauffman colors Kansas City Steers (ABL) Kansas City Soul (ABA) Kansas City FC (MLS/NFL) Kansas City Chefs (NFL) Kansas City Reapers (NFL) Kansas Tech Jackals (NCAA) Kansas City Chiefs (Redesign) (NFL) Fort Worth Cattlemen (AAA) Omaha Outlanders (G-League) Omaha Gnomes (MLS Next) Kansas City Royals (NLB) Apollo Beach Royals (A) Kansas City Thunder (NBA) Kansas City Lakers (NBA)
  3. I searched through threads for the past year and couldn't find anything like this, so I figured I would post it. The idea behind this thread is to post interesting facts or statistics that a lot of people don't know. It'll essentially be the answers to trivia questions. I've got two interesting ones to start this thread off. The Minnesota Vikings were the first team to kick an extra point from the 15-yard line. Tom Brady has played two games at University of Phoenix Stadium, but he has never played the Cardinals there. The Pats have played two Super Bowls there, but only played the Cardinals at home since the stadium was built.
  4. We have the Players in the "Wrong" Uniforms thread and within that thread I've seen a few "Right Team, Wrong Uniform" entries. I thought I'd separate the two, because it is an interesting topic of its' own. Here are a few to start the thread off with ... Charles Barkley, Preseason 1992, Phoenix Suns Matt Hasselbeck, 2001, Seattle Seahawks Jeff Bagwell, 1992, Houston Astros.
  5. The Lions are another team getting new uniforms for the 2024 season. My interest is one that is commonly shared amongst those who have created Lions uniform concepts, which is the look that they dawned during the 70s, 80s, and 90s. Modernizing retro looks and combining history with the present is my go-to style, and the Lions have a brand that I believe could thrive with something like this. As always, I love hearing feedback and other interests/ideas that are out there! Here is a summary of the changes from the current look. Helmet - Updated the stripe (pants as well) to a blue/white/blue pattern - Changed the facemask color from silver to Honolulu Blue (I think a metallic version would look sharp) Numbers - Used the current font with an increased width - Changed the outline color from dark gray to white on the home jersey Sleeves - Removed the "Lions" wordmark and the current WCF logo from the sleeves - Added trim to the stripe pattern Logos - Added a slightly modified WCF logo to the front of the jersey (Stripes in the logo are angled to match the numbers and wordmark) - Added the "One Pride" slogan to the inside of the jersey collar Primary Home & Away
  6. When I was in my early teens, my parents bought me NCAA Football 98 for the computer. I really enjoyed the game, and it was very well-designed for the most part: 100+ schools; full-season play with rankings, major bowl games, and major awards; school fight songs; decent playbooks; something approximating logos on the helmets. It was a very good game for the late 1990s---not as good as the Football Pro series overall, but distinctly collegiate and lots of fun. Anyway, despite the overall quality, there were two details that I have since learned were wrong. One, LSU by default wears yellow jerseys over white pants at home in that game. Two, Missouri's colors are green and gold in the game instead of black and gold. (Come to think of it, I think the latter was also the case in that college hoops game for the Super Nintendo even earlier.) I was wondering: have you guys and gals noticed any similar errors in other games? (Incidentally, Football Pro 98 has the Eagles wearing kelly-green-and-gray even though they were in their second season with their current and inferior color scheme.)

Recently I have gone back and tried to refine each field to be as exact as possible, and its still a work in progress. I got the idea to start posting them after seeing kodrinsky's NBA court database and I thought it would be a good way to get some feedback and some help pointing out any inaccuracies in what I have so far. So, as I've said before, I want to be as exact as possible, so if anyone sees something inaccurate please let me know by either posting a picture or a link to a video that can help me out. It could be something as small as color, number font, or even the width of the lines on the field. Anything will help. I guess I'll start with Super Bowl I Super Bowl I: January 15, 1967. 8. Recently, I've read through UniWatch's "What if the AFL Never Existed" series and I was inspired to do a concept based on that series. Without further ado, let's begin the concept thread BACKGROUND The year is 1959, Dallas native Lamar Hunt desires a professional football team in his home city, his request to move the Chicago Cardinals to Dallas in 1959 is rejected, but the NFL instead grants him an expansion franchise which he would name the Dallas Texans (which I've done a concept on over here) and they would begin play for the 1962 season, the Cardinals would end up moving to St. Louis just like in our universe, but in this alternate reality the Cardinals stay in St. Louis which means that the Cardinals don't ever move to Phoenix and the Rams never have a stint in St. Louis and are forever LA's team, as for Phoenix they eventually get an "expansion team" in the Phoenix Firebirds who's franchise gets started in the World Football League that merges with the NFL before the 1980 season, and because the Texans stay in Dallas and never move to Kansas City, that means there's no Dallas Cowboys around. So that how does Kansas City get a team? Well, the NFL decides to expand into the Kansas City and Denver markets in 1975, and Kansas City's expansion franchise would be owned by the Kauffman family who already owned the Royals baseball franchise at the time, so the Kauffman's decide to synchronize the Royals between their baseball and football franchises, and thus the Kansas City Football Royals were founded. BRANDING And here are the primary and a couple of the main wordmarks/insignias for the football Royals, the logo and insignia were part of a modified Fiverr commission, I assembled the wordmarks and the font used was Valerius Expanded I created so many extra wordmarks and insignias that they had to be on separate slides FIELD AND UNIFORMS The Royals would play their home games at GEHA Field which is most the recent sponsor to own the naming rights to the football Royals stadium which in this universe, looks like Arrowhead but with blue seats and never once having the name "Arrowhead". ROYALS FOOTBALL STADIUM NAMING RIGHTS HISTORY Royals Field (1975-1977) IBM Field (1978-1987) Pizza Hut Field (1988-1996) Nextel Field (1997-2004) Sprint Field (2005-2008) Verizon Field (2009-2019) GEHA Field (2020-Present) The uniform set has 7 total uniforms, with the Powder Blue, Gold, and Black being a tribute to the baseball Royals' powder blue alternates, the Royals turn ahead the clock uniforms in the 90s, and the black alternates in the 2000s. UPDATE: As per request of @MJWalker45 I have changed the jersey numbers from Valerius Expanded to a more legible font in Superstar M54. And here are a couple of extra fields, that were designed these include home fields with gold, powder blue, and black endzones, plus a Super Bowl field. I had a lot of fun designing this and with all these new alternate history concepts being on the front page, I thought it would be a good idea to strike while the iron was hot and drop this one. Comments and critique are welcome as always!
  9. So I recently created a Denver Broncos new uniform concept, I posted it across social media but I don't have much of a following yet on any platform and these were barley seen. I wanted to post them on here to hopefully start some creative discussion and get some kind of feedback. A little bit of background, I've thought the Broncos have been in need of a uniform update for quite some time. Their current set has some classic, iconic elements to it, but the uniform is now 25 years old and I think it's time for an upgrade. When I'd up "new broncos uniforms" online and see various concepts, a lot of what I've seen has been some kind of modernization of the 90's uniforms, and reverts back to the retro powder blue helmet with the old Broncos "D" logo. I think this is a classic and incredible uniform, but I personally really do not want the team to revert back to this uniform full time. I think it should be brought back as a throwback option, like other teams are starting to do with the new 2 helmet rule. When I see concept art or photoshops of the Broncos wearing this look now, to me they just look to similar to the Florida Gators and it just feels like there would be some initial excitement when the uniform first comes out, but then after 3 years fans would start to miss the modern uniforms and want something new again. So below is my proposal for something they could do. I know a lot of people probably aren't going to understand this and some might not like this direction at all but what I went for in this concept is tying in elements of different era's of Broncos uniforms with a new design and in this case was inspired by the Denver City Flag. I wanted to connect the team to Denver and to the state of Colorado a little more if possible, like how the Nuggets and Avalanche have, but also still look and feel like a classic Broncos jersey. The Denver flag design is incorporated onto the sleeve design and is truly meant to tribute the Rocky Mountains that grace the Colorado front range and are such a proud aspect of the Mile High City. I included a 4th uniform option in this that is just a retro look the Broncos could wear, so that the team could on occasion return to the vintage "orange crush" and powder blue helmet uniform that so many fans love, but still have a modern and new uniform to return to the rest of the time. Like I said, I know many people aren't a fan of including elements of State and City flags into uniforms and I know for many in Broncos Country this could be too big of a change. I just wanted to present a concept thats not solely based off of their vintage uniforms and something that is completely new and could be unique enough of a uniform to set the team apart from other classic designs in the NFL.
  10. It's Labor Day, so you know what that means. Week 1: Detroit vs. Kansas City Cincinnati vs. Cleveland Houston vs. Baltimore Tampa Bay vs. Minnesota Carolina vs. Atlanta Arizona vs. Washington Jacksonville vs. Indianapolis San Francisco vs. Pittsburgh Tennessee vs. New Orleans Las Vegas vs. Denver Philadelphia vs. New England LA Rams vs. Seattle Miami vs. LA Chargers Green Bay vs. Chicago Dallas vs. NY Giants Buffalo vs. NY Jets Good luck.
  11. Hi Everyone! I'm kreativekun I'm new here and this is my first time creating a thread, so please be gentle So, I was heavily inspired when Nike made NFL jersey for their teams back in 2018/19 season At that time, Nike released 5 NFL jerseys for Chelsea, Tottenham, Barcelona, PSG, and Club America So I think it's a good idea to make NFL jersey for the big 3 brands that are Adidas, Puma, and Nike The jerseys I made are based on the 2023/24 season and taking into account the apparel sponsorship changes in summer of 2024 Without further ado, please enjoy my NFL x Soccer jerseys (comment, critics, and maybe teams suggestion are welcomed) But before that, let me post my hypothetical NFL x Soccer pitch crossover
  12. With the rumors about new Seahawks uniforms for 2024, I figured I might as well take a stab on what I think these could look like based on the detailed rumors. Maybe this could serve as a starting point for the direction we all feel a new set of Seahawks uniforms should go. Let's find out! (Throwback set to follow) Primary Home & Away
  13. Just a little update to what I think is already a solid uniform set. Following the modern throwback trend and added a slick design element to the stripes of the sleeves, which I envision being some sort of subtle, shiny material that stands out but doesn't take over. Love to hear thoughts!
  14. With word that the Houston Texans plan on unvieling their new uniforms this April, I decided to give it a go. I actually like the Texans brand and I don't hate their current set, so I kept the changes minimal. That being said, I think minimal changes can go a long way for this team with the right approach. Also excited to hear that the light blue color will be returning in some capacity! Of course I had to incorporate it, but I left it subtle... for now. Enjoy! Primary Home & Away
  15. I know they are not changing their logo. Here's a concept I created keeping the same colors and adding the Silver and Columbia blue, a nod to the Oilers in the text. The decal and sleeve design include the team's first season, the football and the moon, honoring the Space City and the first word said on the Moon. Any feedback is welcome. -Oz
  16. So I usually post my Super Bowl logos for the following year immediately after the Super Bowl, but I've just been real busy these days, but hey, 10 months late ain't so bad I guess - just in time for playoff season. Here is my logo for Super Bowl LVIII for Vegas. It's an obvious homage to the "Welcome to Las Vegas" sign in Las Vegas. The dark blue represents the night time life of the the strip and the pink and and light blue are more supposed to be "neon red" and "neon blue" representing the NFC and AFC. If I get Super Bowl LIX for New Orleans done by Super Bowl Sunday, it'll be a miracle. Anyway, let me know what you think. Peace.
  17. Normally I hate having to follow trends but considering the recent thread conclusion of @XrysD's USFL merger thread, I figured I try to do his what if the AFL didn't exist thread.... now I will tend to do things different, in my eyes the AFL team managed to find their way into the NFL but they went through the WFL to do so which makes things interesting per say and certain teams are going to exist in the place of the actual teams that did take place... for example there won't be any New York Stars but other teams do find a way. In establishing this version of a AFL-less NFL... certain teams and certain dynamics are iron-clad which means no Cowboys facing off against their enemies of the Eagles, Washington and the NY Giants, however did you know there was one team those three had a preference to play against because it fit into their schedules and travel costs were easy. And so to begin another dynamic topic, instead of taking a bold move, we begin with something safe. BALTIMORE COLTS To describe the Colts as safe.... we have to address the elephant in the room, Jim Irsay never took the team out of Baltimore during that faithful night... the authorities got wind of what he was doing and prevented the moving trucks from leaving the training facilities thus the law that prevented teams from leaving the city would of included the Colts and without the Colts leaving Baltimore, the CFL never did expand there and never established the Stallions that would of gone on to become the Allouettes. With the Colts, the Eagles, Washington and the Giants established in their own grouping, the Cowboys never did force the Colts into the AFL.
  18. https://uni-watch.com/2023/05/02/hero-ai-bot-creates-brilliant-nfl-costumed-mascots/ From creepy to funny to straight up depressing -- some of these should make into the stream of internet memes--especially the Carolina Poonats ! Mods: Not sure where this thread belongs. There are some interesting uni-design-ish stuff happening here but you be the judge!
  19. Hey all, I decided after my last project here to take a spin at making some new concepts that I imagined as potential future NFL expansion teams. Being imagined NFL teams, I tried to create brands which could feasibly fit in the NFL (no singular collective noun or concept names), while also trying at times to do things with the helmets or uniforms that may be innovative, but (hopefully) not obnoxious. In other words, the teams shouldn't feel most at home in the Arena Football League, lol. Since a goal is to build brands from the ground up, I won't be reviving old team identities like the London Monarchs. My goal was also to try to pick markets that feel realistic for the NFL (not to say cities I didn't use aren't NFL caliber, but choices had to be made). The lore: "The finalized plans to move the Chicago Bears from Soldier Field to a new domed stadium in the outer Chicago suburbs were announced in late 2023, scheduled for the 2026 season. Fan uproar over this accompanied continued pressure from fans and executives alike to better capitalize on the growing London market and to return to St. Louis. Finally in 2024, the NFL announces its first expansion since 2002. Scheduled to begin play in 2028, the league will add four teams (two per conference). This will allow the NFL to return to both downtown Chicago and St. Louis, and finally make London a permanent home with two teams sharing the UK capital. Knowing that unbalanced divisions will be a problem in the long term but not wanting to go too big with the divisions or abandon the two conference alignment, the league also announces plans to add an additional 4 teams for the 2034 season (aligns with various contracts). These teams are over time awarded to ownership groups in San Antonio, Portland, Salt Lake City, and the league's 3rd international team in Mexico City. This will bring the league to 40 teams, with all 8 divisions settling at 5 teams each. The league also confirms an extended 18 game regular season starting in 2034. Teams will play their division opponents twice, and every team in one other division from each conference once." This map shows where the teams will be located; I'll be releasing the 2028 teams first, then the 2034 teams. I'll start off the concepts with Chicago's new 2nd team in the next post. Posted so far: Chicago (Blues) - Revised version posted further down London #1 (Guards) - Revised version posted further down + alternate uniforms/logo. 20. The thread is simple -- what championship teams wore the WRONG jersey, sweater, uniform, etc. I don't want to limit this to just championship winning teams, so maybe the finalists of that league's championship round (ie-Super Bowl, World Series, NBA Finals, Stanley Cup Final, etc.). Here are a few examples to get the ball rolling ... Washington Capitals, 1998 Stanley Cup Finalist Cleveland Cavaliers, 2016 NBA Champions Edmonton Oilers, 2006 Stanley Cup Finalist
  21. First up, I want to fix the drafts of the four major sports. Currently, NFL is simply the reverse order of final record, which gives incentive for teams to tank at the end. NBA has the lottery where you really need to be in that bottom four to have a shot at the top, so tanking is practically required. Baseball is straight record, and most years is such a crap shoot it doesn't really matter. I'm not sure how NHL works, but I know the Penguins tanked twice, and IIRC, Edmonton tanked (or was legit horrible) for MacDavid. So here's my solution to this problem: Do the draft order by the order in which teams are eliminated from the playoffs. Nobody is going to tank from day 1 (except the Process-era Sixers), so they're going to legit play until they're about out of it. In the event Detroit is eliminated by week 9, it will be on merit, and they get the top pick and still have incentive to play hard the rest of the way. Toward the end of the season when teams are teetering on the brink, they're going to want to make the playoffs so there's little - if any - risk of the tanking. The first 10-15 picks will be locked in by week 12 or so, which means the end of the season should be legit competitive, and the teams with the top picks got them while playing hard. What do you think?
  22. Welcome to my version of the No Fun League National Football League, where every team will look (what I think) their best possible. There are some ground rules before we begin: Socks must contrast the pants. No exceptions. No straight throwbacks. Something (even if minor, as we'll see with the first team) must be different from previous looks. That includes classic teams like the Bears, Packers, Raiders, Cowboys, ans so on. The model player will be that team's QB unless he doesn't wear a double-digit number. Everyone is free to voice their opinions, whether constructive or critical. I'll try to keep up with suggestions, but I'll be going by my pace. Don;t be disappointed if I don't immediately post your suggestion; I will eventually get to it. With that being said, lets begin with our first team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Sure, the Bucs have spent most of their recent history in pewter, but their "creamsicle" look stands out to me, and we need more teams with bright color schemes. Bright orange and red screams tropical Florida, and for a team named after a bay, it just looks right. The Bucs signature logo gets a creamsicle color swap, but remains the same design-wise. The basic design of the throwbacks are the same, but I brought back the orange pants they wore for a few years as an option. Instead of a bland gray facemask, the cage is now red. A new red alternate is added, but I chose orange numbers to distingush them from their Super Bowl opponent Kansas City.
  23. I was going over some things here and came across this Bucco Bruce skull logo made by Torch Creative that I really think is great. I thought I'd use it and incorporate it into a Buccs concept. What I have here is a creamsickle using this new logo on the helmet, no "sleeve" stripes. Used Pittsburg Pirates MLB font for the numbers. Pants and helmet stripe are same as original from 1976 more or less. Toook the current skull and crossed swords form the current logo and removed the football. Added that to the shoulder sides. Made a pewter ALT with that same skull and crossed swords logo on the helmet.
  24. With the Lions introducing an ALT with 90th aniversary patch and helmet with 60's logo....I thought I'd take a stab at it. Again, all my work is using MS Paint..so it's not the sharpest stuff. White helmet with blue Lion head ALT logo. Shoulder sides have lion paws. 90 years anniversary patch on left front. "Lions" in official font centered on chest. same number font as current uniform. White pants with 60's lion and racing stripes all the way down the sides.
