  1. Never been a fan of the Seattle Sounders badge - been mulling over ideas for the last few months, finally tried it out, fairly happy with the outcome but C/C always welcome. some of the wordmark looks a little clunky, but it's a draft so maybe just ignore that for now, I'm aware. Thanks guys!
  2. Hello! This is my personal redesign of the Seattle Supersonics. As always feel free to critique and I will answer questions when I can. As a note, for all intents and purposes, the work posted here is complete. The rest of the branding and other things will be on my Behance portfolio sometime soon. Enjoy!
  3. This is my attempt at a new set of logos and Jerseys for the Seattle supersonics, let me know what you think
  4. Hey Guys! I'm pretty new to this forum as to designing logos for clubs. Also I'm not really good with the programs but I hope you could give me some criticism about my project: I started designing logos for eventual future hockey franchises (as others did as well). I'm a fan of easy and clear structures so here are my two first designs: The city of Seattle also named the Emerald city deserves a hockey team in my opinion so I took the emerald and the city's colour. If the team is called Metropolitans or not in their history is still changeable, but I wanted to do something different than another designer did here (Totems). If there's a team given to Quebec every name but Nordiques wouldn't be accepted as I think, so here is my suggestion: the rose of the compass and the fleur de lis! Thank you for every comment on my work!
  5. http://imgur.com/a/HVbZ7 This was my second go around at creating a Seattle Expansion team concept. My first attempt was very much based off of Seahawks colours and patterns but I changed it to be more based off of the former Seattle Totems hockey team.
  6. With the popularity of Seattle's Sunday alternate jerseys, I decided to revert the M's back to their old colors and add a matching away alternate.
  7. So... regardless of where Phoenix ends up, even if they remain in Phoenix, I've been trying to come up with a idea for a Seattle NHL team for a few months now and I still haven't finalized a lot of the designs, but I want some help from the people of the CCSLC. I have colors in mind and I'm struggling between two nicknames, so I want some input from the members here. Sorry about the size of the image, I didn't realize its size until now. Anyway, the 1st shield uses, a light green, green, navy, silver and white, and the second shield has no navy and the retains the other colors. The 2 nicknames I'm on the border between are the Metropolitans and the Emeralds (name is taken from "The Emerald City") Once I have a nickname and color scheme, logo and jersey design will begin.
  8. I've had this image in my head of a Sockeye Salmon swimming through an S for awhile now. Thought I'd get it hammerd out to make it a realization. Needs some help though so give some C&C please.
  9. For some reason Imgur isn't working right now so I'm going to link this on Photo Bucket. http://s1102.photobucket.com/user/eliasrapp98/media/ScreenShot2015-01-18at15721AM_zps1393f3fd.png.html It's a mix of the mid 2000s greyish blue with the current navy, neon, and grey. It's a block number font. This is my first ever time making on a concept on Photoshop so I do apologize for the bad quality. Any tips are helpful whether for the concept or my photoshop skills (for example I don't know why it's so blurry and bad quality). UPDATE: UPDATE 2: Away Concept
  10. With all the moving around and rebranding going on in the NBA...I thought I'd make my move too I present to you the Sacramanaheimeattle Superkingsonics of Oklahoma City Thunderous Pelican Hornet Sting
  11. I came up with this idea for a Seattle based NHL team named the Stealth. The name ties into their history of aviation (like the Seattle Pilots and Supersonics) and also incorporates some green since Seattle is nicknamed the Emerald City. I also found out after I had finished this concept that there was a Washington Stealth Lacrosse team, but the colors are way different and it doesn't have any similarities style wise. The logo is an F117 stealth fighter. I took a photo of one and outlined the angles and lines in green, making the outline and the cockpit window thicker than the rest. I chose this color green since it reminds me of the green of nightvision goggles and it goes well with the Stealth name. I kept the stripes on the jersey thin, basically making them outlines of stripes so that they are visible but not too much, playing into the stealth name.
  12. A couple years ago in the "Unpopular Opinions" thread, I mentioned that this is my favorite Sonics logo: I don't know what it is about it that I love so much. I like the fact that it actually represents the team's namesake (Supersonic jets developed by Boeing), the 60's simplicity of the design, and its sweeping motion of the jetstream. Of course, it has its problems, like the lack of yellow, the non-matching lettering font, and the over-simplicity of the jet and Space Needle (itself a landmark of the "Zeerust" aesthetic). So, I have updated it. I've shortened the jet stream to give the logo a more manageable size, switched the font to better reflect the two-color system, replaced all of the white with yellow, modified the Seattle Sounders' Space Needle graphic to provide better perspective to the building and give it more overall weight in the composition, and switched the dark green to kelly green (the color scheme used during the Sonics' most successful period of the late 70's through the 90's). The jet is based on the conceptual Boeing 2707. Here it is, in comparison to an SRGB-enhanced version of the original logo. It's only meant as a proof-of-concept, as it has yet to be properly polished. Also, I have updated the classic skyline logo to fit in with the new primary and reflect some of the buildings built after the original's debut: C+C is appreciated.
  13. Greetings everyone, This is my first post, so I apologize if I don't have all the bases covered. This is a concept for an NHL expansion/relocation to Seattle. I chose the name Lumberjacks for two reasons: 1) to pay tribute to the region's first major industry (logging) and 2) I wanted to stay away from the Metropolitans/Metros name, as I've already seen some great concepts for that nickname and wanted to try something different. I would love to add an alternate jersey to the mix at some point. Let me know what you think! Special Thanks: shop.nhl.com jersey template from Hockey Jersey Concepts: http://www.hockeyjerseyconcepts.com/p/templates.html Inspiration for presentation of concept: the_dragon (http://boards.sportslogos.net/topic/99629-seattle-emeralds-nba-expansion-concept/) Artwork created using Adobe Illustrator Presentation image created using Adobe Photoshop
  14. Hi everybody, Here's a concept I originally made for uni that I've tweaked minorly since then in terms of presentation. Basically the story is branding an expansion team in Seattle, using the idea of a new history for the franchise and mixing the Supersonics history with a new look. It's the first real concept Ive fully gone through with in terms of sport branding and I want to keep practicing. Theres a couple of things like season ticket packaging I didnt include because I didnt know how to present it as well. Anyway comments of any nature are appreciated. Cheers.
  15. http://nypost.com/2014/07/04/wayne-gretzky-vying-for-nhl-team-in-seattle/ Wayne Gretzky has joined a group of investors hoping to bring a National Hockey League team to Seattle, The Post has learned. The Gretzky group is one of three looking to bring an NHL franchise to the home of Starbucks, sources said — but each faces an uphill battle in that league Commissioner Gary Bettman has not said the league is ready to expand. Things could get interesting...
  16. Hey Guys! I know everyone is doing Seattle concepts and this our Take on it. We were thinking of the Metropolitans for the team name. We will add other fun seattle concepts on here later. Hope you like it! C&C Welcome!
  17. (I updated this concept on page 2, check it out there) Here is my Seattle Mariners concept, even though it's not really an original concept, more like a tweaking with some original elements created by me. First up is the primary logo and the alternate logo: The new compass star actually has significance......the light is shining on the compass from the North, West and Northwest, making this set much more regionally appealing. The alternate logo actually is a combination of two classic logos and one very well known landmark; the trident "M", the "M's" logo from 1987-92, and the Seattle Space Needle. Encircled around "the M's" logo is "Seattle Baseball Club". BTW, it's read as "Seattle Baseball Club", NOT "Seattle the M's Baseball Club". This logo will be worn on all four uniform jerseys. Cap Logo: For the teal hat, just swap the Teal outline and Navy Background to a Teal outline and Teal Background. Script: Numerals: Uniforms: I will say, if you liked the 90's Brewers sets, you'll probably love this concept. Hope you like this!
  18. I really liked the old full body logo that the Seahawks used to use, but it was a little too detailed for them to use much. so heres an simplified update of the logo that I made that uses the new color scheme. https://www.behance.net/gallery/Seattle-Seahawks-Concept/15713847?share=1
  19. So I'm working on a Seattle Metropolitans Update. I have an Idea of what I want for the Primary logo ( Below), and I plan to add a secondary and a word mark as well as jerseys! Hope you guys enjoy and Look forward to hearing your thoughts and Opinions. I'm torn between two color schemes as well as which logo to go with, let me know what direction to go and how to improve the logo! Maybe even what you would like to see in the secondary!
  20. Hi guys, It's been a while since I posted a concept and by while I mean in this decade. I've wanted to tackle this concept for a long time and with the discussion that Seattle may be getting an NHL team in the near future I decided to sit down and put some ideas together. The team: The Seattle Pilots The stripes on the sleeves are intended to resemble the stripes on the sleeves of a pilot's jacket. C+C is greatly appreciated. I think the logo is almost there, but there's something that I can't quite put my finger on and it's definitely in the face. I could use some help with that. Thanks guys.
  21. I've been working on this logo for about a week now: The concept shows the basic idea for this logo. To me the fish looks pretty bad right now, and I don't know what I should do to fix it. The fish is extremely plain so you guys have more room for opinion. C&C appreciated.
  22. I decided to redesign the Seahawks uniforms seeing as how a great population of football lovers hate the current designs. I will be posting another design later using their current logo, but first I will post it with the logo I designed for the seahawks. I really like the accenting that Seattle has going on with the Lime Greenish color. So I kept that, but I brought back the old silver helmet style and changed the blue to a brighter navy/ dark royal look. Uploaded with ImageShack.us
  23. The Seattle Sockeyes are a team I've been working on for a couple weeks now and I feel I'm done with. If you guys think otherwise or have suggestions please leave in the comments below. Here's the info: Nickname: Seattle Sockeyes City: Seattle, WA Colors: Cardinal, Vegas gold, black, gray, & white Stadium: Costco Sports Complex Mascot: Phisher (A chubby fish with t-shirt & shorts) Slogan: "Fear the Fish" Primary Logo: Wordmark Logo: Caps: C&C appreciated.
  24. This is my attempt at modernizing the PCHA. I initially was just going to do a seattle metropolitans concept but since it seems like everyone is doing one, I decided to go a little bit further. The full project can be viewed here. First I updated the league logo. I wanted to retain the feel of the logo, its simplicity and black and white color scheme, while brining it into the 21st century. Next up are the Portland Rosebuds This may be one of my favorite concepts i've ever done, im extremely happy with how it came out. I really wanted to make the "rosebuds" intimidating. Primary Logo Secondary Logo Alt Logo Home Uni Away Uni Alt Uni C&C appreciated
  25. So in a thread or two I've noticed a lot discussion about the deal that might be made for the sale of the Sacramento Kings to the Hansen-Balmer group to move the team to Seattle. I've been specifically curious as to what people think the branding direction should be taking. I personally would prefer either the SuperSonics name or something new to be rolled out. I'd however want that whatever the name is - to have the colours reminiscent of the Sonics colours. So what are your thoughts - ideas on branding and how they should treat all this? All the franchise history chatter should fit well here too of course, as well as rumours for designs and such.
