  1. Hi folks, Just wanted to give the updated logo for the Southern Illinois Miners of the frontier league, a few small changes, the word "Miners" is now straight and the helmet that Big John (that's the name of the guy in the log) is wearing is now a baseball helmet. I work for the team so I can confirm that this is the official logo as of February 2016.
  2. The league makes millions of dollars each year selling camo jerseys, hats, and other merchandise for special patriotic holiday games, and several teams now even sport camo uniform sets year-round. This is all done as a tribute to our military, however many think this tribute is beginning to feel more hollow and jingoistic. Is slapping a team's logo over the top of a camo pattern and donating a small portion of the profits really the best we can do to honor our nation's bravest? Introducing the Major League Baseball Home Base Salute, a chance to salute the individuals underneath the uniform -- not the uniform itself. Click here to view the full project on Behance.
  3. Unfortunately, the game doesn't seem to offer the opportunity to create logos, except perhaps by modifying them in Paint. If anyone would like to create appropriately-colored logos for any of these teams, that'd be awesome, but nobody has to. Anyway, I just started a custom league in 1914, featuring all-fictional players and teams. There are 24 teams total, 12 in the NL and 12 in the AL. Each league is divided evenly into East and West divisions. I'll begin in the AL East, with the team I'm mostly controlling, the Providence Steamrollers of Providence, Rhode Island. I named them after the old Providence Steam Roller who played in the NFL in the 1920s; originally, I created this team in Baseball Pro '96 back in the late '90s or early '00s (this is the case with many of these teams). The Steamrollers are led by a do-it-all lefty ace named Pat McGary; the 34-year-old submarine-style hurler never gets as high as 70 with his fastball, but has an excellent screwball and two curveballs, and also throws a slow knuckler (~50 mph) and a frisbee slider (low 60s). The Steamrollers have the most conservative uniforms in baseball; here they are: Teams colors are navy blue (0-0-50) and grey (180-180-180). They wear only white and grey caps; they have unused alternates with blue caps. They wear pinstripes only on Sundays. Note: Next upload, I'll have to find a way to zoom in on the uniforms, because this doesn't give you a very good view.
  4. Hi everyone. This is a project I started few days ago, and I've decided to upload it here. I've been living in Spain for 13 years, but in fact I was born in Venezuela, where baseball is the most popular sport. My relatives are baseball fans, and I like it too. Unfortunately, it's not very popular here in Spain (there's a league, but it's not really known nor big), so I decided to create a fantasy baseball league based in Spain. I organized it in 4 divisions: Northern, Central, Mediterranean and Southern. You can see the divisions and the club locations in the following map: These are the temas from each division: · División Norte (Northern Division): o Marineros de A Coruña (A Coruña Mariners) o Sidreros de Oviedo (Oviedo Cider Makers) o Montañeses de Santander (Santander Highlanders) o Lobos de Bilbao (Bilbao Wolves) o Leones de Zaragoza (Zaragoza Lions) o Toros de Pamplona (Pamplona Bulls) · División Central (Central Division): o Gatos de Madrid (Madrid Cats) o Rebeldes de Móstoles (Móstoles Rebels) o Emperadores de Toledo (Toledo Emperors) o Romanos de Mérida (Mérida Romans) o Pucelanos de Valladolid (Valladolid Pucelle) o Morcilleros de Burgos (Burgos Blood Sausage Makers) · División Mediterránea (Mediterranean Division) o Barcelona Dracs (Barcelona Dragons) o Murciélagos de Valencia (Valencia Bats) o Castellers de Tarragona (Tarragona Castle Makers) o Turistas de Mallorca (Mallorca Tourists) o Palmeros de Elche (Elche Palm Makers) o Isleños de Menorca (Menorca Islanders) · División Sur (Southern Division): o Linces de Sevilla (Sevilla Lynxes) o Mozárabes de Córdoba (Córdoba Mozarabs) o Nazaríes de Granada (Granada Nasrids) o Boquerones de Málaga (Málaga Anchovies) o Corazones de Murcia (Murcia Hearts) o Chachos de Gran Canaria (Gran Canaria Lads) Tell me what you think about my fantasy league idea and if you would be interested on seeing the uniforms.

  6. Something I just made for fun. Thoughts?
  7. Hey guys. I've seen this a few times pop up in the MLB thread, talking about the Brewers. Now, I feel the Brewers have had some good jerseys, but never a 100% completely good set. Here, I've tried out a combo of eras. The colours I chose are a mix of each era (Using the RGB values. Adding em up & dividing them by 2/3.), with the Navy being a mix of the Royal, 90's navy and Current Navy, the Grey is a mix of the Grey they've always used with the Light blue from the 72 to 84 years. The gold is also a combo, combing the original Yellow with the shade of gold they've used since the Motre Bame era. The cap logo is the "M" they 1st used, while the Sleeve logo is a mix of the Motre Bame era & the original state patch they wore that I kinda meshed together. The scripts are from the '90 to 93 jerseys. This was just something that came to mind, and I think it turned out well. C & C is much appreciated, and I may make some more MLB jerseys if I can get around to it.
  8. Hey Guys! It has been a long time since I made a post on here. So I decided to make a logo concept for the Scranton Wilkes-Barre RailRiders. I am not saying their current designs are not good, I just prefer a more simple look. Here is a main logo and three alternate logos. I hope you like this one! C&C Welcome! Main: Alternate: Thank you!
  9. So I was thinking the other day about walkup songs, and was wondering, is there a rule in the MLB rulebook that states teams can't use offensive walkup songs against players in the MLB, or is it just too hard to come up with, because that is what my mind has been on ever since. So this is the thread devoted to coming up with offensive or mean walkup songs for opposing players. Some examples would be Bartolo Colon - SexyBack - Justin Timberlake Rougned Odor - Whip It - Devo OR Watch Me - Silento Discuss away! Mods, if this is in the wrong section, please move it. I wasn't sure where it would go, and this seemed like the best place.
  10. Like most people, I think the Miami Marlins rebrand is pretty close to a hot mess. They ditched a look that was solid and worked for them and favored a look that made them look like a cheap version of the SF Giants. Now, while I think the execution of the rebrand was done horribly, I do think there are elements and some concepts that do work. They needed to blend the old with the new. So I took elements of the new and blended it into the past to, I hope, make a stronger brand. Let's start with the hat/main logo. I simplified the art deco style of the M so that it basically makes 2 Ms (for Miami and Marlins) and ditched the jumping fish. The fish always threw the hat logo into a lopsided logo that it seemed cleaner to simplify. Uniforms needed a focus on simplicity and going with the old Teal/Black/Silver color scheme. I've also added Burnt Orange, the orange they've favored in the rebrand, for a little accent color in the pipping. This is the Home and Away uniforms: I created an alternate throwback uniform that uses the old word mark and the jumping fish logo. I really embrace the teal and bring back the pinstripes. And finally, I decided to go crazy. I've created an alternate uniform in which I call "UM Pride" because Marlins Park is built on the site of the old Orange Bowl, which was home to the University of Miami Hurricanes. This is the one chance to have the Burnt Orange to get a bit more prominence. So what do you think? I wanted to get some opinions/feedback before I finish the project.
  11. the St Louis Cardinals are my baseball team and they have always looked good to great as far as I'm concerned. However I was pretty disappointed when they emoted the blue hats to "alternate" status a few years ago and added the unnecessary cream St Louis alt. If the Cardinals must messa round with their look, I would like to see them do something like this: There aren't many huge changes here. The biggest changes are probably the addition of an updated Sluggerbird sleeve patch, and the tweaked logos with yellow eyes as a throwback to previous iterations of the Birds on the Bat. I also removed the front numbers because I think baseball uniforms generally look better without them. I love the way the Cardinals have looked throughout their history when they wear a blue cap with a red bill, so it has become the primary cap and a red bird-on-bat cap would be the home Sunday cap. The changes are pretty straight forward and simple, but I think they do improve upon a look that is already very very good. Please let me know what you thing, I would love to ear some C&C. Thanks for taking the time to have a look.
  12. I decided I wanted to do a MLB helmets concept. Here is the AL and NL East divisions. Notes: If the logo or helmet is half and half, there are two helmets/decals. Not following NFL helmet rule
  13. In honor of the Purple One, and inspired by the purple logo the Twins used on social media following his death, here's a quick concept for a "Purple Rain" Twins uniform. C&C appreciated.
  14. I found myself to be pretty bored over this spring break, so I decided to crank out some concepts, and I find that baseball logos are some of the most fun to create, so I decided to create some leagues, and if this catches on, I will make more of these and the leagues that will stretch across the United States. I can't decide whether to make each league 8 or 12 teams, maybe some suggestions? Please, if you're going to say something negative, please suggest on how to correct it instead of just saying it's bad, it's greatly appreciated. I plan on cranking out one of these every few days, so we start with the largest city in Alabama, Birmingham. Famous for their steel production, Birmingham joined the league at the beginning, in 1936, and found themselves to be pretty successful, winning 15 championships in 80 years. Main Logo Cap Logo
  15. So the other day I was watching MLB Central and they were talking about the Padres. One of the hosts said something along the lines of, "As the owner of the Padres, where do you go next to fix this ball club?" So I got to thinking, being the sports logo/uniform lover I am, I would start be tweaking the teams identity. I then looked over at my Green and Gold military appreciation Padres on field hat, and thought about how that is my favorite color scheme to see the team wearing. This redesign is what resulted. I wanted to take their current wordmarks/logos and make some color changes, tweak the uniforms, and give them an updated primary logo. My goal was to stay simple and not get too crazy with it, so here it is. New Primary Logo: Home Uniform: Road Uniform: Alternates: BP Uniform:

Edit: Accidentally posted this twice, disregard this post.
  18. So I previously did a concept called "stadium series" and decided I wanted to make a league out of it. So without further ado, I present the North American Baseball Association (NABA). First team up, the San Antonio Rebels. I really love the way this turned out! The stadium is called HEB Park. The backdrop of the field is a little shopping area with a strip mall, HEB, mall, and Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream. Behind home plate there is a commercial district with an arena, office building, and parking garage. View from the entrance behind home plate. here you can see the backdrop, and also the tall wall in left field, which is 35' high, because the park is only 290' to left. The wall also doubles as the visitors clubhouse, the team offices, as well as the rooftop deck which fans can sit/stand on during the games. As said above, here is the view from the rooftop deck. Not much else to be seen here. Here is the view from the top step of the Rebels dugout down the first base line, where you can see the old school scoreboard on the left field wall, as well as the Alamo shaped scoreboard on top of the roof. Here is the view from the visitors dugout, and you can see down the 310' right field line. Also note the Alamo replica building which is the Rebels clubhouse. The clubhouse is several levels, with the training rooms, batting cages, and extra amenities underground. Here's a view from the Rebels clubhouse, where you can see the home plate and third base line entrances, as well as the club level, which has 17 suites, the press box, and the club level bleachers. Here is the view from behind home plate, most of what is to be seen has already been noted, so I won't touch on it anymore. Ariel view of HEB Park. Parking lot in right field, with the main entrance in the right field corner.
  19. Earlier this month, new White Sox ambassador Chance the Rapper redesigned and released a trio of limited edition White Sox caps. I decided to put together a few White Sox uniform concepts based on these cap designs. C&C appreciated! -
  20. The Twins have been using the same colors for almost the entire existence of the organization. They need to do some re branding in the next few years. The last time they had success was around 2009 and they started the 2016 season 0-9... They have potential, but they should probably get a strong fan base around them and take the Royal approach. I think that the Twins had some success in the past with the design of the logos and kept most of them looking similar to what they were. Now with colors Green, Black, and I kept the Navy. Primary Cap Logo Wordmark
  21. Hello all, I am a high school student that likes to design sports stadiums, mainly baseball. I will begin to post my work in this thread, and I might throw in some logos every now and then on top of the stadiums. With that being said, here is my progress on my first stadium. I would like some help in naming the team, color scheme, and naming the stadium. That way, I can create a logo and add some unique elements into the stadium. I will continue to update my progress, and this stadium shouldn't take to long to finish.
  22. Hello! I'm sure several of you saw the April Fools New Jersey Angels redesign. If not, you should google it. Anyway, that inspired me because it's a pretty decent logo, but it would never ever be used. I decided to try the same concept on the Chicago Cubs. I realize they would never change their colors to green and red. I modeled the main logo off of a Cubs script they used to use. The logo is inspired by the ivy at Wrigley. Also, I hardly ever draw baseball concepts, so don't be too harsh.
  23. Every September, the White Sox celebrate the halfway point to St. Patty's Day by wearing green pinstripes. The last few years they've had a Christmas in July day, but they haven't worn any special unis to commemorate this. This year, I noticed a Halfway to Mardi Gras day on their schedule; again, I'm not expecting them to wear anything out of the ordinary for this game, though I hope I'm wrong. I decided to take a stab at how Christmas & Mardi Gras-themed ChiSox uniforms would look. For the Christmas uni, I decided to go with a recoloring of their 1983 set, creating an ugly sweater look. For the Mardi Gras set, I used the traditional Mardi Gras colors of purple and green, with just a touch of gold so as to avoid making it look like a Barney the Dinosaur day uni. C&C appreciated!

    MLB SuperCard

Not sure if anyone plays the IOS apps NHL or WWE SuperCard, but I have always wanted to work on a project that would bring all the goodness of those games to my favorite sport, Major League Baseball! My friend and I had worked on a template to make "cards" for this planned game...which look like this... The template took a bit to make, but changing the players, logo and font around don't take that long. Around 10 player cards are done so far, I will post more later. Heres a little background on the planned internet game that would revolve around these cards; There are five tiers of cards Basic - the lowest level, your bench players, minor leaguers...you get the gist Rare - guys who aren't that bad, but maybe not all that good either Ultra Rare - the middle tier, there are some solid players in this group Epic - the really good players, consistent talents (the card pictured above is in this tier) Legendary - these guys are awesome, the stars of the game These cards are acquired for "playing" games, collecting cards, achieving new ranks and taking part in tournaments and contests! Then there are these numbers on the cards... CTL (control), BRK (break) and VEL (velocity) are the three stats that pitcher cards use to get the hitters out. Im not going to go into the actual formula for calculating, because this is a design board. I AM LOOKING FOR HELP WITH THIS PROJECT, IF YOUD BE INTERESTED IN HELPING ME MAKE CARDS, PLEASE LET ME KNOW! The psd file is here http://www.mediafire.com/download/5btf0p8y55nme9y/card.psd Cheers!
  25. This logo is actually for a friend who is coaching a little league baseball team this year. If anyone has any C&C that would be awesome always looking to improve.
