  1. I am so happy with the response from my first NBA template series that I wanted to update it to better suit you guys and create a better template to show off the creativity and design on this site. So here's what we've got! Here's whats been updated: - updated Adidas mesh design to match actual uniform - added championship crest on back collar - organized illustrator files/layers for better access - added basic number/NOB font (link below) - added stripes - added side view for jersey - added front view for shorts Here are the links to download the templates/font: https://www.mediafire.com/folder/p252i2mir80g8/NBA_Uniform_Templates.ai I am excited to hear from you guys! I welcome all feedback about the templates. Let me know what you would want to see changed or perfected! Enjoy.
  2. Hey Please check out my latest Ben Simmons Identity concept and give any feedback necassary! https://www.behance.net/gallery/42758743/Ben-Simmons-Nike-Identity-Concept
  3. I'm glad to present you my own version of the National Basketball League of New Zealand! I will redesign unis and some logos trying to stick with their current color scheme. Here you have the teams: Canterbury Rams (Christchurch) Hawke's Bay Hawks (Napier) Nelson Giants Southland Sharks (Invercargill) Super City Rangers (Auckland Bay Area) Taranaki MountainAirs (New Plymouth) Wellington Saints Past teams Waikato Pistons (Hamilton) Otago Nuggets (Dunedin) Manawatu Jets (Palmerston North)
  4. Let me start by saying I have got this idea from both the NFL and NHL alternate universe threads. In 1976, the National and American Basketball Association reached a merger agreement, with four ABA teams (San Antonio Spurs, Indiana Pacers, Denver Nuggets, and New York Nets) joining the NBA. However, both the Kentucky Colonels and St Louis Spirits were both told that they would receive a spot in the NBA - but they didn't. What if the NBA did honor their agreement with Kentucky and St Louis, and they added 6 new teams into the league? I will not be doing a yearly standings, but will state the champions. I present to you an alternate universe. (My phone is almost dead, so I won't post any designs now)
  5. I made a graphic, to touch on the idea of the 2017 NBA All Star Weekend to come to Indianapolis, Indiana. I added another one that actually features the NBA logo in the graphic.
  6. This is my first ever attempt at creating a logo using a computer program, so take it easy on me. I really, really do not like the Rockets current identity and I think its the weakest in the NBA (just ahead of OKC). That being said, I really love their old logos and colors, so I wanted to go with a retro yet modern design. C+C appreciated!
  7. Got into a discussion at work about various sports and their standard or non-standard playing surfaces. Specifically, in North American sports football, basketball and hockey all have identical measurements from one field/court to another. Soccer and baseball do not. Yes, I realize there's a difference between leagues (see: NFL vs CFL) but there is not a difference between teams in those leagues. The field measurements for the Cowboys and Steelers are identical. Or the Tiger Cats and Bombers. But they are very much NOT the same for the Yankees and Red Sox. Why is that? Does it offer more/better home field advantages in the sports where teams get to pick their own field size? Just interested to hash it out and get some folks' opinions.
  8. Hey there, I have developed a new concept for the Phoenix Suns identity. It's clearly just a concept so not even close to an entire identity scheme, but the primary logo is pretty much developed. It's a clear tribute to a couple of my loves: Modernism as a style of graphic design (even if with a contemporary twist) and the Seattle Supersonic (yes, the design take the lead from the same structure of the Sonics classic logo). To maintain the connection with the present, I kept the two primary colours the franchise is using right now, black and orange. However, this is something I would like to experiment more in the next few days. Let me know what you guys think, any feedback appreciated. Cheers,

    NBA rebrand

  10. a sneak peak of the @BrisbaneBullets uniforms in the @NBL made by @mitchell_ness
  11. Here is an NBL Australia court concept. All concepts use Darth Brook's basketball court template. The first team is the Adelaide 36ers. I opted not to use their current logo and to use the Los Che 2014 font and "create" a logo. Next is the Cairns Taipans I used a horizontal line pattern to add uniqueness to the Taipans court. The logo is a small modification of their current wordmark.
  12. I just created these Utah Jazz Jersey Designs to go with there new logos. I am aware that there are already official Jerseys, but this is what I wish Utah chooses to wear if they decide to redesign. Tell me your thoughs?
  13. A few days ago, I finally decided to join the boards after lurking for months. After seeing both the AFA and PHL, I was inspired to create a fictional basketball league. However, I have no Photoshop or Illustrator skills, so I am doing this hand-drawn with colored pencils. This league starts in 1947, and is the first organized basketball league since the war. I will not include logos in this series, and the main reason for that is because I am horrible at drawing animals. The inaugural 10 teams are: Cleveland Bulldogs, New York Knights, Washington Eagles, Pittsburgh Smokies, Richmond Steamers, Philadelphia Colonels, Boston Minutemen, Baltimore Admirals, Chicago Lions, and the Detroit Warriors. I am looking for feedback and criticism so I can not only show off my personal league, but get help on my drawing.
  14. Hey I made this Grizzlies court revamp please don't judge all the white spaces because I made it on a iPad.The brands on the side are brands voted by British Columbia.
  15. In an effort to get the creative juices flowing a little better I'm tackling a project through the month of May. 31 days, 31 NBA concepts. First up, the Hawks... Atlanta Hawks - Volt-ernate My take on what other have proposed previously, and something that seems like an inevitability - a Volt-based alternate for the Hawks. I've restricted the triangular pattern to the side panels, as it's all-over application is the only thing I really dislike about the Hawks' current uniform set. http://thirdkit.co/2016/05/01/atlanta-hawks-volt-ernate/
  16. Hi guys sorry to be a burden and ask for one more thing but im looking for template for the sports i listed in the tags thanks!
  17. so, 2 thoughts inspire this thingy could i 'paper doll' a line of NBA legends in illustrator & the weirdness of the 80-81 topps set. 3 players random players on a card and you were seriously meant to rip the cards apart! no rhyme or reason here. sometimes the year is a career highlight.... or maybe when i think they just looked the coolest. ill try to be as accurate as possible with the unis and dudes. part of the fun is sleuthing out references to making vector logos from scratch off of an memorabilia auction photo, to figuring out some dudes hairline, to making sure what color Dr.J's knee brace was in 1976.... shoutout to blase!
  18. https://twitter.com/SmithRaps/status/720036366902542336 This must be a Toronto thing because the Jays like unveiling banners during the post-season too. I prefer this, tbh then waiting until the following year to unveil it. Also if you end up winning more than one, it gives fans something to look at.
  19. NBL appoints new Official Apparel Partner It's a really interesting move from the National Basketball League Basketball is massively popular in Australia, but the NBL markets itself really poorly and as such, it's largely ignored by fans who just follow the NBA. I've always believed that cheap looking, primarily sublimated uniforms over the past 20 years have been a big contributor to the NBL being ignored, with NBA jerseys being worn all over the place. Hopefully Mitchell and Ness can give the league a bit more a traditional, authentic look. I'm not aware of them sponsoring a league or a team, so it will be interesting to see their take on it. You'd assume they'd want to maintain their throwback aesthetic, which could be absolutely wonderful news for Australian basketball fans.

  21. The next NBA season is just a few months away and it is sure to be a very exciting one. With key free agents like LaMarcus Aldrige, DeMarre Carrol, and Greg Monroe changing teams, there is sure to be a large difference in the standings for this year. The following are my predictions for how I think next season will go down as well as how the postseason will look. 22. With the news of the warriors possibly adding an Oakland tribute uniform in the future, I decided to create my own. I tried to make a bit of a combination of the city uniform and the current ones. I just want to say that I despise copperplate, but its the font the warriors unfortunately use, so it's the font I used. oakland flag included for reference.
  23. Of all the team logos in the NBA, the Detroit Piston's current logo may be one of the simpler ones. It is merely the team name on a basketball which is fine for an expansion team but not for a team with as great a history as the Pistons. My concept calls upon the greatest era of the Detroit Pistons and that would be the eighties through the early nineties. Back when they were known as the "Bad Boys". The focal point of this concept is in the primary for the jerseys have only received slight changes. The primary features details from the "Bad Boys" era of the Pistons as well as a couple of pistons, the team's namesake. The secondary is simple and the only other real major design change is in the "Motor City" alternate. So, here they are. The Primary Logo: The Secondary Logo: Home Jersey: Road Jersey: Alternate Jersey: C & C appreciated!
