  1. College football has always been one of my passions. The jerseys and uniform history is one of the primary reasons. Each school has their own unique identity, whether it be school colors, rivalries, or traditions. My redesign series is to take these identities and manifest them in a different concept jersey for each school. Tradition and identity is the driving factor behind everything that I design, and this series will be no different. So, get the meat on the grill, pour yourself a cold one and put on some drumline music, and enjoy my college football redesign series! Designed Schools Ohio State Hawaii Oregon Army West Point
  2. Who doesn't love a good Bowl Movement? Whether it's the Bitcoin St. Petersburg Bowl, the Raycom Media Camellia Bowl, or a Toilet Bowl, bowl games are just so much fun. But there is a place with college football that don't have bowl games. That place is Canada. A basic rundown of Canada's football landscape is this. 4 regional conferences, and no out of conference games. The conferences have a playoff to determine the champion, then the winners go to their respective semi final game. The easternmost is the Uteck Bowl, while the westernmost is the Mitchell Bowl. The winners of THOSE go to the Vanier Cup to play for the National Championship Up until this year, their version of the NCAA was the Canadian Interuniversity Sport. They rebranded to U Sport. The new brand is bold, and is a fresh look. That's where the NeatO Gang comes in. So Matt, Dynamo, and I created the Bowl Alliance. It's 8 bowl games, then the Vanier Cup. The 8 games are all over Canada, and the final would be the day before the Grey Cup in the same stadium. My thinking is that neutral fans would be more inclined to go to the game if it's a whole weekend event. The games would be played on (mostly) turf fields, so wear would not be an issue. The 8 games will mostly be towards the east, due to the west being such a big conference. So that's why Regina and Edmonton aren't hosting. That, and there is only 27 schools that have football programs. The saving grace is that there is talk of expansion, and inter conference play. Ok so moving on. This is heavily like the NCAA's playoff system. We have 4 games that I coined the Bowl Alliance. Then, similar to the "Group of 6" games, we have the Elite Bowls. Two in the east and two in the west, they will host the game no matter. But between the two, will rotate the rights to give away the Uteck and Mitchell trophies. Each conference would host their championship game between the two best teams. After that, the bigger 3 conferences would get an automatic bid to the playoff. With the conference in Atlantic Canada being left out. This is due to them having 4 teams, and for their best team to be ranked #10 with a 7-1 record. The team to play Canada West's champion would be the best at-large team, or the champion of the AUS. So see those logos? Those are new thanks to yours truly. Here are the current. They're average to bad, so I remade 3 of them! I believe that's it. So sit back and we will release each game one at a time! Games and records reflect the 2016 season as it has already happened.
  3. I just got these 2 new Helmet Templates and I have using it non-stop and figured I would start a thread showing off my concepts designs and I courage for anyone to share their concept designs as well. Also I started a new instagram called "Big Easy Concepts" It is all my designs and work. Check it out! Please share with me your feedback and your own designs!
  4. This thread isn't so much a concept as it is a prediction for the Georgia Bulldogs next set of uniforms in 2017. After reading some discussion on UGA forums, it sounds like the Dawgs will upgrade to the Nike Mach Speed template in 2017. Unless Kirby Smart wants to bring his own flavor to the Georgia uniform (praying he doesn't bring back the black striped helmet he wore or the red jersey and black pants combination), it would be reasonable to assume Georgia will mostly just take its current design and transition to the new template. We know the new coach is open to black jerseys as recruits have been seen wearing them. They feature the large collar and Bulldog Bold font, so we know they aren't just recycled from 2007 and 2008. They are brand new jerseys. What I'd like to see is at least bring back red and black pants to be used sparingly on the road and maybe an all black look (normal helmet). The pants designs I propose still use the same stripe as the silver pants, so there is a hidden stripe...just like the 2009 black pants (leave that helmet in the past). These designs would be the only ones used, and ideally Georgia would wear the normal red and white jerseys with silver britches 8-9 games a year. Perhaps a blackout once or twice with a game or two on the road with different pants. One of my Georgia guys suggested next year could go without contrasting collars and cuffs. Not sure how legitimate that is but here is that mockup.
  5. Hey guys. This is my first post. Basically, this is a concept of college football rivalries that are in the same state. ex. The Iron Bowl. This concept will also be hand drawn. I'm only 11, so don't expect uploads every day. Since I'm from Mississippi, I'll start with the Egg Bowl. Hope y'all will like the uniforms.
  6. Still on the MVP Baseball series (and I will begin the Ballpark Builder in about a week) but in between, I will make the 10 covers (plus a special cover) for the NCAA Football series. 10 for each region. The winners are: NORTHEAST - Jim Brown MID-ATLANTIC - Micheal Vick GREAT LAKES - J.J. Watt MIDWEST - Tyler Lockett SOUTHEAST - Bo Jackson FLORIDA - Michael Irvin TEXAS - LaDainian Tomlinson ROCKY MOUNTAINS - Kordell Stewart WEST - Troy Aikman & Rodney Peete PACIFIC NORTHWEST - Jake Locker I'll make one a day... no set schedule, but I will start on Jim Brown's cover tomorrow.
  7. Just wondering what everyone's favorite NCAA Division 1-AA/FCS logo is (if you have one) Note: No Division 2 or Division 3 logos. Just Division 1 logos whose football team is in the FCS
  8. There are some big name colleges out there that dont have football programs like Marquette or Xavier ect. So I decided to make some concept helmets of the colleges that dont have football and I just might post some uniform concepts if requested. If there is a College you want to see just let me know and I will do my best to make that concept for you. Feedback is always much appreciated! 9. With Spring Games rolling around, some schools have been releasing their schedule posters. Always enjoy these threads every year and didn't see one for 2016. Oklahoma South Carolina Miami (Florida) Toledo Ohio University
  10. I dont post but mainly view the various topics on the board. I'm a WVU alum and have always wondered how Nike, Adidas, UA decide which schools get alternates. It seems as if everyone is getting new weekly threads on top of what they have. My question is, why is WVU never getting any alternates or anything new. We do have our current uniforms that are about 4 years old with a gold, blue, white helmet and same colors for pants and jerseys. I'm not a big fan of them but I wish Nike would really invest time in doing WVU some justice. I feel like our combinations are just slapped together. the flying WV is a well known symbol. I'm just a frustrated fan that wishes WVU would get some love our way. I'm tired is seeing teams like Rutgers, Oklahoma State and others get blessed with new unis on top of what they already have. Thoughts?

  12. I am suffering from off-season blues and I have made some NCAA bowl game logos and put them on a field. I pretty much based most of them off real bowl game logos. The Red Bull Bowl one I got kinda lazy and just used the Red Bull "Can You Make It?" logo Please feel free share any of your bowl game concepts! Bleacher Report Ann Arbor Bowl (Ann Arbor, MI) Coca Cola Toronto Bowl (Toronto, Canada) Dick's Sporting Goods Bowl (Iowa City, IA) Napa Auto Parts Bowl (Atlanta, GA) Red Bull Bowl (Houston, TX)
  13. Hey Guys! Had a few of these lying around after screwing around with the image trace feature on Illustrator. I thought I could share with you guys. C&C is appreciated.
  14. In a lucrative deal full of monetary figures and lots of Nikespeak, the NCAA goes full NFL and makes Nike the official uniform provider for all 127 FBS football teams. Ok, the foundation for the topic is set. It's been a while since I've posted a concept and college football is getting closer and closer. Nike has been hit and miss the last few times, though UNC and Michigan State were definite wins. Beginning with the ACC and Boston College Boston College has always been conservative with their uniform look over the years and I saw no reason to change that. -iconic gold helmet now has a triple stripe, maroon facemask. -went with the Flutie-era double stripes on the jerseys. Colored the cap sleeves on the white and gold jerseys. I thought it looked better. -pants have the same triple stripe as the helmet. C and C welcome.
  15. Say what you want about the BCS era of college football, the one thing I will miss is a unique championship logo each year reflecting the host city/stadium. The logo we have for the new College Football Playoff lacks creativity as it is just a simple golden outline of a football reflecting the new trophy. I decided to create a championship logo for next year's game in Tampa Bay, and I incorporated the golden football into it, as I felt it could be a very nice looking piece in a larger logo. Hope you all enjoy, and let me know what you think!
  16. Found this GORGEOUS page. I'm sure many have seen it, but it's simply fantastic. http://www.winsipedia.com/nebraska
  17. 2016 / Arizona 2017 / Tampa Bay 2018 / Atlanta 2019 / San Francisco Bay Area ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ORIGINAL POST My first post of 2016 will be something I've been thinking about for a while. Like the old Super Bowl logos, I wanted to make location-specific logos for the College Football Playoff National Championship games. I want to create a template (like the Final Four) where each logo features one constant item, but they all still have elements related to the city in which the game is being played. I've started with a rough draft for this year's game in Glendale. You can kinda see where I'm going with this. (p.s., if anyone knows any fonts that would work well with Arizona, let me know) Rough Draft:
  18. So the vote to change the '12 teams for a conference championship' is going to take place on January 15. If the vote does not pass, there is a very good chance that the Big XII expands. Even if it does pass, I'd still like to see the Big XII get back to 12. So my question to everyone is: would you like to see the Big XII expand back to 12, who should they go get, and why? My personal opinion: As much as I'd love to steal other Power 5 teams such as Iowa, Arkansas, or Northwestern, I don't think that any of those schools would leave their conferences for a less-prosperous Big XII. So, I would have to go with Cincinnati and Memphis for the following reasons: The markets in those cities is large and ready for the taking. You can steal the recruiting market from Ohio State with Cincy and from Tennessee and Vandy in Memphis. Breaking into Big 10 and SEC territory with each pickup respectively. Geographical hole-filler between West Virginia and the rest of the conference. Both schools have strong up-and-coming football programs. Incredible basketball history, especially in recent years. The ability to fill the old divisions: North--Iowa State, Kansas, K-State, West Virginia, Memphis, Cincy South--Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas, TCU, Baylor, Texas Tech Any other thoughts? Anyone agree? Let me hear your opinions!

  20. Hello, all! It's been quite a while since I've posted a concept series and I think that needs to change. So without further adieu, I present my Southern Conference Football Redesign! First up is Chattanooga. They have a really bland and boring identity right now, so I thought I'd spice things up a bit, and use the color scheme in their bird logos as seen below. C&C is greatly appreciated!
  21. Hello!! It's been a couple of years since I last posted any concepts on the boards. And I think I'm ready to start posting some concepts, for college football again. But I decided not to do the big name teams and focus on the smaller Mid-Majors, D1AA, and D2 teams. So, to start the topic, I will begin with the recently revived football program at the University Alabama Birmingham Blazers. https://www.flickr.com/photos/130660752@N08/23212294293/in/dateposted-public/ I wanted to have a minimalist/simple design, no wired dragon scales on the jersey or helmet. Just a basic design for a "new" football program for the Blazers. C&C would be great. Thanks
  22. Hey guys! I've taken a long break from making concepts, but I'm back! I've got three concepts made: Colorado, Washington, and Arizona. Starting with Arizona. The Wildcats are pretty much ruined by Nike. They had a nice, double stripe look going when Nike invaded. My main goal was to return it. I applied it to the helmet, shoulders, and pants, and also restored the Tuscon Bold font (courtesy of Conrad). It was pretty simple overall here. Nike did okay with Colorado, but I still love the Northwestern-style striping they used. Combining the two sets was my main goal here. Simple, classic look for the Huskies. Just the way it should be (good riddance, Nike). I may do more concepts, but I just started with this. Hit me up! 23. A few years ago, I posted a concept design for a fictional team I called the Eliot Brigade. Since, this team has become a sort of pet project of mine, and I've spent time off and on crafting different identities for the team (it even made an appearance in the American Soccer Federation). I'm back now with an updated name, Maine State, and identity, featuring a deeper history, and updated logos and uniforms. The project can be found at the link below (due to the size of the image itself and my lack of photobucket bandwidth, I just decided to host it on behance). https://www.behance.net/gallery/23703095/Maine-State-University-Brigade The main idea of the identity was to combine aspects of numerous other college football teams and their design evolution. I was specifically inspired by TCU, Ohio State's alternates, and the service academy pro combat uniforms. I hope you enjoy, and I look forward to your C+C!
  24. This is my first concept thread in a while, and my last college football thread kinda fell flat on its face, plus I became overwhelmed with work and school. But that's enough of that. This is also more of a challenge for me. Can I get through all of the Top 25 before the season starts in 23 days? Lets find out. 25. Tennessee I was a fan of what Nike did for the Vols. I think the new look is very good. That being said I felt the jerseys could use stripes, so that's the biggest change to the home/road looks that remain largely unchanged aside from the double stripes that were worn in the 80's, plus the checkerboard pattern was added to the back of the collar. On the alternate, I changed things up a little. I went with the Steelers Batman looking jersey, and made it black. I was looking to go a little outside the box from their normal set, but didn't want to go too far. With that in mind, the black uniform would not be interchangeable with the normal home/road. C and C welcome as always.
