  1. Hey Guys! It's been awhile. Today I present a concept for the Marywood University Pacers. I drive past this school everyday and I wonder if they could have gone in a different direction. Here is my attempt. Let me know what you think! As always C&C welcome!
  2. In light of USF eliminating the recently created academic bull for the Iconic Bull U for now both academics & athletics, I always wondered how many colleges also use the same marks for both. On top of my head here's some that I already know of. Of course, I couldn't leave out UCF & their pegasus. The pegasus has appeared on their football & baseball uniforms. An older version appeared on football helmets in 1981 & 1982 per the Helmet Project. What are more examples of above?
  3. *The template I use is not mine. All credit goes to DarthBrooks for the template.* This is a concept of me posting about NCAA courts that I recreate, and are not real. These are fictional designs, and I am looking to make quality content, as well as get feedback to improve. 4. I am using this site to post my college basketball court concepts hope you enjoy them. Any requests or feedback would be greatly appreciated. The template I am using is made by darthbrooks.
  5. Hello there, Instead making radial or court brackets, I like to pick a year & create a bracket complete with team logos used in that year. I did have this finished before the First Round began but I was unsatisfied with my background. After trying different ideas using a zubaz pattern I decided it wasn't that important anymore & picked a colorful ink splatter and now sharing this. As for the team logos, I spent months scavenging throughout the internet searching sources of team logos used at or around March 1992. Believe it or not, my most helpful source was eBay. There's thousands of products for sale such as pocket schedules & media guides that include years & logos on them giving me proof a team logo was used at that time. I had to be watch out with pre-season program covers because pictures of uniforms in action would be from the previous season and such. My other sources came from a couple YouTube videos over the 1992 March Madness coverage, Getty Images, and digitized yearbooks. My project is a combination of real & concept so I'm posting this in the Concept section. I would say half of the logos were easy to find via this website & College Vault PDFs. There other half I had to rebuild the logos myself. All of this was done through Illustrator which I'm not an expert with. I enjoy doing these specific-year-themed bracket as I can discover logos that cannot be find anywhere else on the internet. And it's cool to see the different styles of logos as well as how long some of them have truly been around. 2 years ago I made a 'Stranger Things' bracket set in 1983 and I was able to reuse several logos from that period. Here is the full Imgur album that has some explanation of how I know that was the correct logo to use. I can provide more info & sources if wanted.

    Apple Cup Logo

Hey everyone. I've been holding onto this design for a while, as the Apple Cup hasn't been on anyone's mind until now, and no one could've predicted just how important it would be! The current logo for the game is serviceable, but is incredibly bland and generic. I sought to create something unique to Washington, and here's what I came up with, in several different color options. Thanks for checking it out! https://imgur.com/kCvbtmD https://imgur.com/bwzIphx https://imgur.com/Rf10GkD https://imgur.com/BdxRyzh https://imgur.com/92eaete
  7. Rebrand for my alma mater Western Michigan University. We aren't sure if we are black, gold, old gold, grey, or brown. I think the Brown and Old Gold is a great scheme and it's time to return to our roots. Enjoy. Uniforms to follow!
  8. It's been a minute, but just wanted to get some feedback on something I've been working on. Lake Forest College Rugby has been one of the most successful clubs on the LF campus, but has never been more than a club. In recent years the competition has increased dramatically, and the move to a full-fledged varsity program looks realistic. With this in mind, I made something that could be considered the first official crest of this club. Hope you guys enjoy, comments and criticism are always appreciated!
  9. Thanks for watching!
  10. I just finished looking through that thread that was where everyone posted a fictional college, the Sportslogos College Athletic Association. While that was brilliant, it is dead. I intend to restart it under a different name. Same format, Name, nickname, location, colors, logo, fun facts, background under, but no rule on the metro cities. I have an idea so I'll start. It's visually a little rushed plus it's in paint. I'll work on it. Name: Julio Lobo University (Universidad de Julio Lobo) Nickname: Reyes (Kings) Location: Miami, FL Colors: Red and Blue of the Cuban flag and royal Purple. https://imgur.com/n9yqkTS In this timeline, Cuban sugar mogul Julio Lobo's fateful October 11, 1960 meeting with Ernesto "Che" Guevara results in Lobo fleeing to Miami, but he found a way to get his money through. Lobo, ever the philanthropist, founded Universidad de Julio Lobo in 1963. It was, and continues to be mostly for business, as Lobo was a great businessman. There is also a large agricultural component, again connected to the founding by Lobo, a sugar mogul. Sports came soon. Lobo being from Latin America, soccer and baseball were obviously first, but they were quickly followed by football, basketball, tennis, golf, and any other sport I may be missing, except ice hockey. There's field hockey, but it's Miami. No ice hockey. Lacrosse recently came in newer. The teams were named Los Reyes as a reference to Lobo's nickname, "El Rey de Azucar de Havana" (The Sugar King of Havana). They generally started going more by the English names in the 1980s, but the Spanish names are the official names. As it is a newer school, they are somewhat light on traditions, but that does not stop the student body of around 20,000 from packing Estadio Montalvo (another rich Cuban family Lobo married into) on Saturdays for the football games.
  11. Hello everyone! I've been a huge fan of college hockey my entire life, going to my first game when I was only 6 Weeks old. I decided to try my hand on redesigning all 60 teams in D1 college hockey. Some teams are just slight updates or even remaining the same for the most part, others are complete overhauls. WARNING: you will see a lot of stripes and script, and no football helmets in this thread! Every team has 4 jerseys, a home, away, alternate, and a second alternate which is mostly throwbacks but also can be a fauxback or a normal alternate. I will be going in alphabetical order of conference then team, lets get started! Starting off in Atlantic Hockey we have our first team. The American International College (AIC) Yellow Jackets CURRENT UNIFORMS: Home: Based off of their old alternate jersey, now with their classic Yellow Jacket logo on the chest. Away: A black version of their home. Alt: A yellow version. Alt 2: A fauxback with striped arms, AIC on chest diagonally, and no white on the uniform.
  12. UAA has used the same classic, tribal art influenced, logo since 1973 (REF). As stated, the logo is classic; but I was wondering - What if UAA would update their look? What would a Seawolf look like if it were modernized? What is the basis for the Seawolves name? In Haida and Tlingit culture; a seawolf is an enormous creature that preys upon pilot and killer whales. It as four legs with fins, a head similar to a wolf, and a tail like a fish or a whale or sometimes a prehensile tail. (This is not a wolf with an eye patch ) Before becoming the Seawolves, UAA's nickname was the Sourdoughs in reference to old sailors..... good upgrade. After researching historic and contemporary Haida and Tlingit depictions of seawolves I got to drawing out what a new Seawolves logo might look like, so here is my concept logo for the University of Alaska Anchorage Seawolves: Newest idea: 1/15/18 1/16/18 1/17/18 C&C Apreciated
  13. Uniforms created for a hypothetical football version of the PK80 basketball tournament. Looks were built out based on the basketball uniforms worn by each team in this year's tournament. Oklahoma has moved to Jordan brand, as the games would take place next season. Like this year's iteration of the PK80, the use of black is prominent and iridescent highlights are used to accent footwear, gloves and event branding. Individual team concepts coming next
  14. Recently I enrolled in a Graphic Design program in college and was in design class when I had the idea to create circle logos. I started with Vanderbilt nothing else really just the logo C&C welcome as well as request for the next logo.
  15. Over time, I have been working on concept uniforms for all 130 FBS football teams. I did the universities that are currently planning on staying or joining the FBS level. My designs were intended to be very unique and creative. I have had a lot of fun during this designing process while creating new uniform ideas. I will start uploading the uniforms for each team in alphabetical order. Let me know what you guys think and which ones are your favorites. Hope you enjoy!
  16. I was just messing around with Photoshop and I created a fauxback uniform for Michigan State. I used only cream and green for the uniform. I don't really have a list of teams in mind so I am down to take requests.
  17. "Oh no". "I thought this died". Nope! We're back, under the same, more experienced management. Along with 11 other members of the board, the SCAA is moving in a new, improved direction. I picked them based on who showed the most interest in SCAA, as well as who I thought were self sufficient enough to deal with their own logos and unis. It's nothing personal if you participated in the old SCAA but were not picked for this one. Here is the premise... Setup Myself and 11 other members created fictional college identities. Some were used from the original SCAA thread, while others were created brand new. As well as sets of logos and backstories created for each college, we made football uniforms. From here, two conferences were created with 6 members in each. The Pacific Conference to the West, and the Continental Conference back East. Using these conferences, we made an eight game schedule for each team (5 conference game and 3 out of conference games). How it Works Every Saturday, 6 uniform matchups will be posted. These are the "games" in each week of the season. As well as posting the uniforms in this thread, a poll will be setup weekly to vote on the best matchups. Once these votes are counted, both teams in the first place matchup will be awarded 300 points, second place matchup teams will receive 200 points, and third place with 100 points. Additionally, each individual vote will awards 50 points to each team. At the end of eight weeks, the winner of the Pacific and Continental conferences, as well as the next two leading scorers from either conference, will participate in a 4 team playoff tournament. After these two matchups, the two winning teams will go head to head and ideally the best overall uniform should win! How are you involved? If only the members from each team voted, it could very well devolve into a Pirates of the Caribbean situation, with each person voting for their own teams. This is why your involvement can be so important, the more votes the better. I decided to start very small for a reason, and expansion is likely to be small and deliberate for that same reason. Now that that's all out of the way, here are your members and colleges of SCAA 2017! From the Pacific Conference on the left, going top to bottom... 18. Hey guys, Back with another baseball concept. Currently my school, Western Michigan, wears some Adidas template baseball uniforms that are ok but not great. So I searched around and decided to make a concept based on their uniforms from the mid to late 80s under MAC coaching legend, Fred Decker. Let me know what you think! Jerseys are modeled by current big leaguer, Adam Rosales.
  19. I know it is a little late to be starting up a college basketball concept, but I finally made a basketball template that I like. The template is based off of the Nike Aeroswift template which is currently used by many Nike teams, and I added a U-Neck version of it similar to what Michigan and Duke use. I will be making a set of 4 jerseys for each team that I do. I have already done a few teams, so I will start with Auburn. Jerseys -Text is similar to the Charles Barkley era and what they currently wear, leaving the copperplate gothic era behind. -Trim is similar to what they used to wear, but I wanted to change it up a little bit. -For the orange jersey, I'm not sure whether it would look better with blue and white switched or not. Pants -Stripe is similar to the one on their football helmet, with the logo on it towards the bottom.
  20. Updated 3/31: Elite 8 Complete/Final Four Set Elite 8 Complete/Final Four Set: First Four: On Off Sweet 16 Complete: First Four On First Four Off Round of 32 Complete: First Four On First Four Off Round of 64 Complete: First Four On First Four Off First Four Round of 64 with First Four off Release (3840x2160) A new year, a new theme and look. Info after the photo. - A clean look, optimized for larger, hopefully easier to read school/team name and overall record text. - Tournament Title in white and black trim, with an orange shadow - Round of 64 teams will have smaller logos than in last years first round. In addition, Round of 64 team records will be replaced with that Team's game score. - Round of 32 through the Elite Eight features a slightly smaller pod, but a more vertical logo. Above the divider will be the school name, and below will be the Team's game score. - Round of 32 through the Elite Eight orange end caps will be changed to the team's color once they advance. - The Final Four, black team pod with orange gradient trim. - National Championship matchup features black team pods with gold gradient trim. Note: The "First Games" are at the bottom center of the bracket, but may be covered by a app dock or other apps. I've turned on dock hiding and that fixes the issue. But once the First Four is complete, I'll remove the first four pods for a cleaner bracket. C&C: I thought about lightening the background, as it's a little darker here than I anticipated, then again it might just be the perfectionist in me.
  21. For March Madness I am making a themed bracket based on Stranger Things. The year is 1983 and all of the the logos for March Madness will be from 1983. However I am having issues finding what the Belmont Rebels look like. FYI Belmont changed their name in 1995 to the Bruins. I may share the bracket if there's interest.
  22. I'm guessing I'll catch some flack for this but, I'm tweaking the "un-tweak...able." I'm a fan of the Texas's current look, however a few things have bothered me. It looks a bit flat and the shape of the horns looks off (especially compared to Bevo). So I went in and fleshed out the animal. In doing this I added a color... cream to the look. I feel like I've always associated cream color with UT but I can't place it... Anyway, I did a flat version too for all those fans that would have to breathe into a paper bag if they dropped that all together: Here are some reference images:
  23. Here is a logo concept for the Montana Grizzlies. A bear is another mascot that every designer should try to draw up. I took inspiration from their current bear's face and smoothed it out some. Rendered it in their current Maroon/Silver and the vintage Gold/Copper.
  24. Every self-respecting sports logo artist should have a wildcat in their stock folder (also, bulldog, eagle, tiger, etc). Its a very common mascot and therefore difficult to create in a unique way. This concept is basically a Northwestern Wildcat. but the design would meld easily into any wildcat brand. The only feature that I'm unsure of is which "light area" color works best (white, light purple, lighter purple). White Light Purple Lighter Purple White with Light Purple Border I kinda feel like the white is too harsh and the light purple blends too much, so I'm leaning towards the lighter purple.
