  1. So I did a thing I've never done before and I took a stab at a soccer badge concept. I've always appreciated the aesthetics of a good soccer badge, but I've never been a huge soccer fan to be honest. On that note, I don't really know what the prospects of an MLS club in St. Louis are, but I chose to do a St. Louis logo because I think the city has a ton of imagery to draw upon for a great soccer crest. The Arch is the most iconic symbol of the city, so I started with that overall shape that I thought would be unique and stand out among the other logos in the MLS. I also wanted to include the awesome stripes from the city flag. Cliche, I know, but I love the way the blue stripe between the white stripes mimics the Mighty Mississippi. decided to stay away from the Fleur de Lis because Montreal already uses it in their crest. I'm definitely not in a place where I think i have a finished product and I am definitely open to criticism on any and all aspects of the logo. Too simple? Bad color scheme? Nothing is off limits because I am not confident in my ability to to design a soccer crest. Thanks for taking a look and please let me know what you think.
  2. I think the Eagles have a great logo and I'm a big fan of their midnight green color, but I think they just have too much going on with black, charcoal gray and silver accompanying the green. In my opinion, the Eagles look best when they are wearing only green, silver and white, so this concept is more of a clean-up than a full on rebrand. I was also inspired by what the Detroit Lions did with their logo an uniforms this past season. Those are not perfect, but I really like the idea of what the Lions did. Here's my take on the logo: nothing too exciting, the green is a touch more green and the black is gone. The new wordmark is my take on a simpler, less "XTREME" version of the current wordmark and is more in line with the contemporary branding in the NFL: bold, single color lettering with some serifs and a bridge shape to give it some character. Here are the new home and road uniforms. Less is more as the uniforms are reminiscent of the current duds but are without the needless clutter of superfluous colors and embellishment. The Color Rush uniform is gray in the same style of the primary uniforms and the regular alternate uniform is a midnight green version of the classic throwback uniforms thanks to the one-helmet rule. So, thats it. Thanks for taking a look and I'm definitely open to any and all C&C and feedback.
  3. I'm back after taking a long absence. This is an NFL concept where each NFL team will have a League (association/home), Icon (away), Statement (alternate), City, and Earned jerseys for the playoff teams. A few teams will have throwbacks too. Some city jerseys will have a meaning, some will look crazy, and others will look great. Anyways, the first two teams are the Arizona Cardinals and Atlanta Falcons. League Icon Statement City This uniform uses the colors of the Arizona flag Falcons League Icon Statement City This uniform is supposed to represent a Coca-Cola bottle because you know, Atlanta. Throwback
  4. Hey guys! So, being both a Bengals fan and a fan of uniform design/concepts, I stumbled across this website recently and started to really dabble on my own. While I’m definitely not a wizard by any means, I tried to come up with some cool Uniforms that are kind of a blend of the 80’s, the current color rush, and a couple of new tweaks of my own, such as making orange primary pants and matching the socks to the jersey. I have a Home, Away, Alternate “color rush”, Home/Away Throwbacks. I have also added some alternate pants options for the Home, Away, and Alternate. Sorry for the difficulties, But please follow the link below and let let me know what you think. https://m.imgur.com/a/Gyqz3LF
  5. After seeing the atrocious court for the 2018 Braggin' Rights Game between Illinois and Missouri I created my own take on a court for this annual neutral site matchup. Each team gets their own half of the court split by the Mississippi River which serves as the border between the two state.
  6. Thought I would take my shot at "fixing" the Jags, Titans and then maybe a few other NFL teams that just don't feel right to me. First up, the Jags. They want simple, so I give them a simple uniform but not so simple as to look like a Div-2 college. Teal is the primary, black the secondary, and if they feel they must, they can go unitard with all black or all white on a hot August day. I envision the primaries as White jersey-black pants and teal jersey-white pants. Note the angled stripes are on the sleeve cuff, pants and socks.
  7. Seattle Seals http://imgur.com/rcomW9d http://imgur.com/ME8uvIP
  8. The Falcons are overdue for a fresh look. In my opinion, their old look wasn't a bad one, but Arthur Blank wanted to forge a new winning identity, so I get why the brand was changed. It's unfortunate that such a classic and strong logo had to fall victim to association to decades of losing. My idea is to go back to the old branding, but not all the way. I kept the current forward tilt of the current logo, as well as the aggressive bird's eye and overall feel to the classic logo. I did some styling to the wing feathers for a more aerodynamic look, and updated the bird's head and beak to look more like a bird of prey than the old, docile head of the classic logo. I may play around with helmet/uniform concepts along this line, so stay tuned! Here are the old and current logos for reference:
  9. Hello! Im just posting this concept for the NBA. I honestly think the NBA should expand to 32 teams. Feel free to comment!
  10. In honor of Opening Night, I decided to experiment and create a different style of Nike NBA jersey called the Legacy uniform. These involve a combination of different eras of the respective team combined into a single uniform. This means there are varying styles, colors, and logos. Below each uniform are the aspect of the uniform and the era it's correlated to. I'm starting this series off with some Atlantic Division teams: Boston Celtics: 1950s-60s: Chest text 1970s-90s: Number, pant logo 2000s-Present: Pant stripe, sleeve pattern Brooklyn Nets: 1960s-80s (As the New York/New Jersey Nets): Side pattern, pant logo Early-mid 1990s (As New Jersey Nets): Chest text 2000s: Uniform Color Present: Number font New York Knicks: Late 1960s-70s: Chest text, pant logo Mid 1980s-mid 1990s: Primary and Secondary colors, number font Late 1990s-Early 2010s: Uniform side design, sleeve pattern Present: Tertiary color The rest of the division and more will be coming soon, but let me know what you think!
  11. So, with all of the hubbub around the NHL expansion to Seattle, Washington, I was inspired to whip up a set of concept logos for the new hockey club. Frankly, I'm in love with the Sockeyes as the name for the new team. It's fun, local, unique and lends itself to some great color schemes and imagery. Here are some of the images I took some inspiration from as I was designing my logos. I played around with a few color schemes, all of which focused on the distinctive red and green of the spawning Sockeye Salmon. I tried black, and dark green as the third color, but eventually settled on navy blue as the complimentary color to red and green because Seattle sports teams are kinda known for their use of navy blue and more importantly, I thought it looked the best. Color Scheme (with goofy marketing-speak color names): The primary logo I created features a swimming salmon, its powerful tail propelling it upstream, with its intimidating teeth on display: The alternate logo/shouder patch is the letter S dressed up as a sockeye salmon. I was inspired by Native American-style illustrations in the design of the alternate logo, albeit a heavily simplified and stylized version: That's it for now. Thanks for having a look and please feel free to offer C&C because this is far from a finished product. Thanks again.
  12. Hey all, I decided to try and create retired number banners for current NBA players and their respective teams. These banners are based off the actual style of retired number banners the team uses (with exception to LAC and OKC since they havent retired any numbers yet). Justifications as to why I did or did not include certain players (HM=Honorable Mentions) are included below as well. I hope you think these are good and they are free to use and respond with any suggestions! I will be doing this series for the NHL as well after! ATLANTA: Joe Johnson (played majority of his all-star career with the organization and led them to many playoff births) HM: Josh Smith, Al Horford (neither put up good enough numbers) BOSTON: None No HM BROOKLYN: Vince Carter (All-star and leader for all of his nearly 6 years with the team), Brook Lopez (considering the Nets history of honoring long-tenured players and Lopez's solid numbers, it's very likely he'll see his number in the rafters) HM: Richard Jefferson, Deron Williams (neither were as effective as the other two players mentioned) CHARLOTTE: Kemba Walker (will be a multi-time all-star, a first for the "Hornets" in years) No HM CLEVELAND: LeBron James (OBVIOUS REASONS) HM: Mo Williams (not effective enough), Kevin Love (too early to call/not on team long enough), Kyrie Irving (went out on sour note) CHICAGO: Derrick Rose (a homegrown kid, multi-time all-star, and only the second Bulls player to win MVP outside of MJ) HM: Joakim Noah (DPOY but didn't do much outside of that and a few all-star appearances) DALLAS: Dirk Nowitzki (OBVIOUS REASONS) No HM DENVER: Carmelo Anthony (Denver scoring leader and put the team back on the map after years of futility) No HM DETROIT: None No HM GOLDEN STATE: Stephen Curry (OBVIOUS REASONS), Klay Thompson (leader and all-star for the current team, likely career Warrior), Draymond Green (top-tier defensive talent and leader for Warriors) HM: Kevin Durant (not on team long enough yet), Monta Ellis (not effective enough/bad teams) HOUSTON: James Harden (likely career Rocket, potential future MVP, and consistent all-star and team leader) No HM INDIANA: None HM: Paul George (left on sour note and didn't play with team long enough) LA CLIPPERS: Chris Paul (team leader and consistent all-star, delivering Clips to playoffs), Blake Griffin (career Clip, multi-time all-star, fashioned lob city era) HM: DeAndre Jordan (not effective enough) LA LAKERS: None HM: Pau Gasol (didn't play with team long enough and wasn't effective enough) MEMPHIS: Marc Gasol (all-star and Memphis' soft process on retired numbers) HM: Mike Conley (too early to call/not effective enough), Pau Gasol (didn't play on team long enough) MIAMI: Chris Bosh (sad story/way he went out, multi-time all-star), Dwyane Wade (OBVIOUS REASONS), LeBron James (brought in championships and was MVP with Heat) HM: Udonis Haslem (devoted, but not effective enough to pass Heat's lenient standards) MILWAUKEE: None HM: Giannis Antetokounmpo (too early to call) MINNESOTA: Kevin Love (multi-time all-star and double double leader) No HM NEW ORLEANS: Anthony Davis (Multi-time all-star and leader for Pels) HM: Demarcus Cousins (not on team long enough yet) NEW YORK: Carmelo Anthony (leader and all-star all 7 years on the team) No HM OKLAHOMA CITY: Russell Westbrook, Kevin Durant (BOTH OBVIOUS REASONS) HM: James Harden (not on team long enough), Nick Collison (not effective enough, despite longest tenure) ORLANDO: None HM: Dwight Howard (disrespected team and city, very up in the air/not a guarantee) PHILADELPHIA: None No HM PHOENIX: N/A (do not have retired number banners) PORTLAND: Damien Lillard (multi-time all-star, leader, and likely career Blazer) HM: LaMarcus Aldridge (not on team long enough and not effective enough in time there) SAN ANTONIO: Manu Ginobili (career Spur and team leader), Tony Parker (see "Manu"), Kawhi Leonard (multi-time DPOY and all-star, new team leader) No HM SACRAMENTO: None HM: Demarcus Cousins (wasn't effective/respected enough in tenure, plus Kings' reluctance to retire numbers easily) TORONTO: Vince Carter (multi-time all-star and put Raptors on the map), Demar DeRozan (Canadian player, multi-time all-star, and career Raptor) HM: Kyle Lowry (too up-in-the-air) UTAH: None HM: Deron Williams (disrespected organization and not effective enough) WASHINGTON: John Wall (career Wizard, multi-time all-star and team leader) HM: Bradley Beal (too early to cal, no all-star appearances)
  13. Over the past week, I have posted a few of these logos and they seemed to go over well, so I decided to run with the theme... each logo is inspired by an NHL team, but designed for a mini-mite-level kid's hockey team. Every logo is a work in progress, so feedback is appreciated! All designs from this set are available at: https://www.teepublic.com/user/csquared Up first is Pittsburgh:
  14. I recently had an idea for an alternate Braves road uniform. It falls more in line the Atlanta's ivory home alternate throwback. I think it's got the classic, simple aesthetic with the more modern "ATL" moniker.
  15. I was recently asked to work on a Kelly Green Eagles uniform concept and after many long hours, I have finally completed it. My whole concept is based on the idea of History: - The Home/Away uniforms are based on the 1980's Eagles uniform set, just more modernized. - The numbers and new Logo Type are created using the angle of 52degrees (to celebrate the History of the 1st Super Bowl in franchise history) I will post a few of the shots here, but the full project can be found on Behance at: https://www.behance.net/gallery/70431389/Modern-1984-Philadelphia-Eagles-Uniform-Concept My Uniform set is made up of a Home, Away, Alternate and Color Rush Uniforms. A new Logo Type, simplified helmet design and simplified 1980's bird logo.

  17. Hey all! Decided to do a fun jersey series during this NBA offseason. These fun alternate jerseys I will be making will all reflect the team name and team name only, as you will see, quite literally. I will be moving down in order of division in each conference and in order of city name in each division. I will kick this series off with these three teams: Boston Celtics: The same look as the Celtics' mascot Brooklyn Nets: Quite literally the weaving of a basketball net. New York Knicks: Since many of you may not know what a Knick is, its short for Knickerbocker, which is an older term for a New Yorker. Thus, the retro vest and tie top and brown pants. More will be coming soon if y'all like this series idea! Template credit to therealpepman
  18. Turning this into all of my NBA Concepts thread. Utah Jazz City Concept (this post) (V2) (Court) Dallas Mavericks Full Rebrand (V2) (City) So, to preface, I obviously based these off of the uniforms and logos this year, making them a ice-ey, snow-ey, mountain-ey version for next year. I think in general I did a good job, but I'd love to catch some feedback. If you want the template I made, I posted it here a while ago, and will be adding an updated version with the shorts soon. Anyway, let's jump in. I hate writing details to go with the uniforms/logos, so you can use your imagination on what I did for different things. One thing to note is that I used the Oquirrh mountain range for the right side striping (left looking at it in an image), and the Wasatch mountain range for the left side. I also took inspiration from the old Jazz all star logo to make the new snowflake logo. OK here it is. Snowflake logo Mountain-Note logo Version 1 Version 2 Version 3
  19. With the announcement that the Jets will be wearing new uniforms next year I thought it topical to have a go at a concept. Any C&C will be well received as always. New York Jets Logo The iconic Jets logo has been sharpened and made to look more like the silhouette a football and less like an actual egg. The 'Jets' script remains. Home and Road The helmet is based on the '78 - '89 helmet. The uniforms again are based on every iteration of Jets uniform. The Kelly Green from '63 - '97 With the sleeves I wanted to combine the current sleeves with the striping from the '78 - '97 jerseys. The stripes on the pants and socks aim to create a balance across the uniform. The Road uniform's combination of white/green/white is based on the '90 - '96 road uniform. Color Rush The Color Rush uniform replaces the white face mask, white sleeves and white stripes on the pants with Hunter Green (Jets current green). This is the only time the Jets will wear the green/green/green combination. Throwback Due the NFL rule on one helmet the throwback could only be the '78 - '89 or the '90 - '97 uniforms. The '90 - '97 uniforms have totally unnecessary highlights of black in them so I settled for the '78 - '89 uniforms. I hope you all enjoy.
  20. Hi! My name is Gus. This is the first time I'm posting here so feel free to give critique. The Swedish top soccer division called Allsvenskan (All-Sweden) is a mid-level European League with teams from the late 1800's. Teams: AIK BK Häcken Djurgårdens IF GIF Sundsvall Hammarby IF IF Brommapojkarna IF Elfsborg IFK Göteborg IFK Norrköping IK Sirius Kalmar FF Malmö FF Trelleborgs FF Örebro SK Östersunds FK First up is the team from the island of Hissingen located in the Gothenburg arpelago. BK Häcken is a team founded in 1940 by two 14-15 year old boys that wanted to play games against other teams instead of just practicing. The name Häcken means Hedge in English. The original pitch was surrounded by two chestnut trees and a hedge, therefore the name BK Hedge. BK is short for Bollklubb which means ball club. The team has always worn yellow and black stripes earning the nickname Getingarna (Wasps). The primary kit has minor changes from the original while the clash kit has gone through a major change. The original is plain white with no striping, trims or design features. I changed it up giving them wings like a wasp (not really but the thought is there) to make it more interesting. C&C Appreciated
  21. Voting is here! We now have 32 entries, so I shuffled the groups around to accommodate missing teams. Honduras replaces Peru in Group D. USA replaces Belgium in Group G. Iceland and Columbia will receive 10% point reductions for being late. Here is how voting works: Rank each team in each group. First place gets 4 points, second gets 2 points, third gets 1 point, fourth gets zero. Top two teams from each group will advance to the knockout round. In the event of a tie, the team with more first place votes advances. If you are a participant, votes in your own group will not count - but you can vote anyway. Voting for the knockout round will last through Saturday. Advancing teams will advance into knockout stage with same assignments as the real World Cup (A1/B2, C1/D2, etc.). Each knockout round will last 2 days (R16 Sun/Mon, Quarters Tue/Wed, Semis Thu/Fri, Final Sat/Sun). As a reminder, entrants were required to design: New country crest New home kit New clash kit Scarf I encourage you all to zoom in on these concepts to see the detail. There's some pretty good stuff in here! Please wait until I post all of the groups before you start voting! Thanks! If you see any issues with your concept, let me know. Also, here's a link to live-ish standings: Link
  22. Since Nike is going to be the new jersey supplier for the NBA I made some concepts to show my take on the new jerseys. I used the USA olympic jersey featuring a nike vapor jersey and made my own mockup on it, to get the realistic stitching details on the numbers and logo I used a photoshop action called realistic stitching action to make it look realistic as possible. I hope you guys enjoy! Half way done the other half of the NBA will be uploaded as soon as possible. Feedback would be helpful!!
  23. Are you super excited to watch soccer all morning like me? Are you kinda bummed that the US didn't make it but still enjoying world class talent? Do you have a hankering for making some international soccer concepts? Then you clicked on the right thread! This is a reboot of a contest that was done for the 2014 World Cup, for those of you who are new. See these threads for inspiration: Individuals wishing to sign up for this years' edition will be randomly assigned to one of the 32 teams in the 8 groups of the World Cup. Designers will compete in a group stage with the best two concepts from each group continuing to the 16-team knockout round. From there, concepts will be pitted head to head in a single-elimination tournament to determine the champion, runner-up, and third place finishers. Once you are assigned a team, you will be responsible for creating: A new team crest A primary kit consisting of shirt, shorts, and socks A clash kit consisting of shirt, shorts, and socks A scarf related to the team (can be one-sided or two-sided) Although some designs may carry over from real life (checkers for Croatia, blue/white stripes for Argentina), everything you create should be your own. All of these items must fit on one image. Now let's talk timing. If you are interested in participating, reply to this thread by Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at 11:59:59 PM PDT. The first 32 people to sign up will be guaranteed a spot. If there is more interest I will try to find a way to work you in - TBD. By Wednesday June 20, you will be assigned a team. You will have until Sunday, July 1, 2018, at 11:59:59 PM PDT to submit your concept to me via PM or email (ryan.saline94+wc18@gmail.com ). Voting for group stage will last 4 days, then each knockout round will last 2 days. This will give us a champion by July 13th-14th-ish. More details on voting will come after we have submissions collected. If you are interested, reply to sign up. If you have questions, reply to have them answered (hopefully). P.S. I am signing up to fill slot 1 Rule amendments based on comments: Uniforms do not need to be on a flat template Hand-drawn concepts are welcome Your name will be posted to the concept and you may supply a short artistic description for your design Additionally, the following additional elements are allowed on your submissions: Jersey details in callouts Examples of full sets of numbers Mockups of jerseys on real players Basically, if you see it on one of the submissions from the 2014 contest it's fair game You may use existing fonts or create your own Update (6/20 PM): Team assignments are now posted in the table below and in this post
  24. I did a few other sport mashup concepts before, but thought i would get into the MLB and do some hockey uniforms for those teams. I got a few done already, just wanted to see what you all thought. Hoping to slowly make my way through the whole MLB. I am hoping to do a home/away and possible alternate for each. I like doing the alternate where it is influenced by a throwback look. So far I have done the Toronto Blue Jays, Milwaukee Brewers and 1 throwback idea for the Pittsburgh Pirates. For the Brewers I did 2 versions, one with the older Navy/Yellow look and one with their Navy/Metalllic gold look. Also, let me know if these images work. Had an issue last time i posted some stuff. Blue Jays Pittsburgh Pirates Milwaukee Brewers
  25. Hello! My first post here and of course would love to hear your thoughts. I'm slowly becoming a niners fan?? but their current logo just doesn't do it for me so I had to do something. It's just looks very dated to me. Anyways, I also played around with some wordmarks to go with it, but figured I'd get the general idea out there first to see if there was any interest. Check it out and, please, let me know what you think! Thanks!
