  1. As a native Minnesotan, I usually get a little disappointed or dismayed by the Twins concepts I see on the forum. Their identity always seems like a bit of an afterthought, often subject to a recolor so as to differentiate the Twins from a myriad of RWB teams in the league. Instead of taking this approach, I wanted to work (for the most part) with the existing color scheme whilst drawing from the team's history. With that in mind, I reintroduced light blue into the color scheme. While light blue was restricted to their road uniforms in an era when several teams were using it for their road uniforms, this historical precedence combined with the fact the state's name literally means "sky-tinted water" makes it a suitable vehicle for setting them apart from teams with similar colorways. This addition of light blue spells the end for Kasota gold. I didn't necessarily hate its addition a few years ago, but its application was unsuccessful and does not fit with the light blue. One of the more popular changes for posters is to correct the inconsistencies between the team's wordmarks. I decided to follow suit, but took a decidedly different approach. The result applies the Minnesota Wild script to the Twins, using a Tuscan-esque font that takes cues from the area's history as a railroad and flour milling hub. The TC logo follows suit, and I put an M back on the away cap. Here, it calls back to the successful minor league Minneapolis Millers. Lastly, Minnie and Paul are updated with the new colors and wordmark as well as altering the state outline to be more geographically accurate. It is promoted to the primary, replacing the squad's generic baseball roundel. Got all that? Good. Now look at it. Let me know what you think. I also have a decidedly modern take on the Twins that I will post sometime in the coming week. Take care.
  2. Hey there folks, I thought I would take some time and post my concepts for a professional kübb league aptly named the "Professional Kübb League". For those of you (read: most of you) who are not familiar with the game of kübb, it is a lawn game similar to horseshoes wherein wooden sticks (or, if you want to be pretentious (which I do), kastpinnars) are thrown at wooden blocks (or kübbs) with the intent of knocking them down. Here's a You Tube video showing the game in action (ignore the femurs-and-skulls talk). This game is believed to derive from the Swedish island of Gotland; as a result, it is primarily played in the United States in areas with substantial Scandinavian populations. I've played kübb with friends and family for years, and it's a game best played with a beer in your free hand. With that in mind, I thought it would be fun and somewhat incongruous to imagine a world in which kübb was a serious spectator sport that drew crowds similar in size to American soccer and tennis matches. And so it came to pass that the Professional Kübb League was born. The League was founded in 1993 by a group of college kids in Minnesota and Wisconsin who formed teams in Minneapolis, Saint Paul, Eau Claire, and Madison. Since the game itself does not take very long, they decided to form games into matches consisting of a best-of-5 series. Each team has four players with two players per team in each game, with the requirement being that each player needs to participate in at least one game. As the game gained popularity, it added teams in a first wave of expansion to Rochester and La Crosse in 2002 and Des Moines and Milwaukee in 2014. The league logo is located below, celebrating the game's Swedish heritage with a blue-and-yellow color scheme and showcasing the five kübbs on one's back row and the king in the middle. I got the crest shape idea from Mockba's excellent League du Nord series, which is the source of a lot of my aesthetic inspirations for this league. East Division Eau Claire Kings La Crosse Crosscuts Madison Woodchucks Milwaukee Growlers West Division Des Moines Dragons Minneapolis Kübbs Rochester Berserkers Saint Paul Gray Ducks League Map I have all the squads done and intend to release one every other day starting tomorrow to get some C&C between teams. In the meantime, let me know what you think of the league logo and feel free to express your emotions about this league in whatever manner you see fit.
  3. Based on the leaks so far, I strongly dislike what I've seen from the Titans. It feels like too much of a shift and doesn't read as the Titans to me. The gray is pointless clutter and makes the set much more drab. The number font is hideous and overly designed. The underarm panels look like something out of 2002. Overall, the color balance is all over the place and there's generally no cohesion at all. I always thought the Titans needed incremental tweaks, not a complete overhaul. The flaming thumbtack is outdated but I really like the circle with the stars from the state flag. The pants are fantastic, however the modern helmet stripes clash with the traditional pants. I like the shoulder stripes and the sword shaped stripes on the new set are a cool evolution of that feature, it's just a shame that they're now gray. My set looks to streamline things a bit (consistent stripes, consistent number colors on the various jersey panels, updated word mark, logo, etc). I like the idea of a red Color Rush set. Navy pants are needless clutter given how fantastic their normal white and columbia blue pants are. I think I do prefer the Titans in white helmets, however, it makes too much sense to use columbia blue to distinguish themselves from all the other white helmet teams, and it still looks great. Of all the helmet choices, the rumored navy is the worst option. I emphasized navy and columbia blue with red used as small touches (swooshes, nameplates, helmet stars, part of the word mark, etc).
  4. I thought the Bullets old jerseys were a bit too messy. and that their 90's jerseys were too red and unpleasant for the eyes. so I tried to do something in between. Their court I thought had far too much empty space and too small logos. so I pulled them up a bit. and I fixed some angels on the primary logo.
  5. I Want some sonic boom back! Here's an Seattle Supersonics concept I made
  6. This is the first design of mine that I am uploading to this site. Pretty much all of the logos are a mashup of different logos I found. The name Lucky Buckets is from the famous Lucky Bucket Brewing Company originating from Nebraska. I thought it would be interesting to design a concept based on the brand. Let me know what you think and respectful criticism is more than welcome. BTW, I've used the program GIMP to do my designs, so I apologize that these aren't "professionally" done. 7. here is a logo concept and uptate I did of 1990/91 - 1996/97 New Jersey Nets logo. logo. I´ve always thought it was an excellent logo. But the colors and finish were awful.
  8. I made a concept of Los Angeles Clippers old logo. I wish they would bring it back. But have some cleaner jerseys. and another tone of the colors. I wanted the colors to remind more of sailers ship crew and the ocean.
  9. Hello, I am looking for some inspiration for developing a Helmet Decal for a local school. The team is called the railroaders and the only colors they use are blue and white. The Coach really wants the word railroaders to be incorporated somewhere in the design, I am not a huge fan of big script letters on helmets so I went with a think smaller block font. He also wants to ensure that people understand that railroaders are the people that worked on building the railroads not people who worked on trains, so I am debating doing some sort of mascot depicting a railroad worker. I guess I am looking for help in which way I should take this logo. It is not apart of a rebrand just simply redesigning the helmet logo because a new coach was hired. What they had in previous seasons is below. This is just a rough mock of what I think may look good any advice or direction would be greatly appreciated!

  11. I am a huge fan of how recognizable and unique the current Minnesota Vikings logo is but after studying design for a few semesters, I've come across some fundamental composition flaws in the viking head. 1. Since this a profile view of the viking, the back horn should not be visible to us. It should be obstructed by the horn closest to us. 2. The shape of the emblem as a whole fights for your attention because it has multiple points pulling you in different directions. This isn't a problem if the directions are equidistant (like a star) or pulling you in a general direction but the helmet, horns, hair, braid, and mustache all bring you somewhere else (as pictured in the diagram below). Now these things seem minor, but they leave the viking head looking very static in space. 3. The mustache looks fine. This is just personal opinion but I think beards look meaner. My goal for this redesign was to create a streamlined, visually appealing, and tougher version of the classic logo that feels like a natural progression into the future. My solution to my issues with the existing logo was to remove the back horn, recompose the curves to all point behind the viking head, and add a beard for a tougher and more modern look. I'm still in the process of refining the logo but I wanted to post it on here to get some feedback before I dive in too far. The beard feels sort of empty compared to the interior of the hair but I'm not sure how to incorporate the same line quality without making it feel too busy.
  12. Atlanta United is rumored to be doing away with their inaugural away kits, which is a good thing in my view as they were pretty boring. I love their red and black striped kit, and wanted to keep the "5 Stripes" in my concept kit as well. It's an all black idea, so I thought it may work better as a 3rd kit rather than their main away kit. I may attempt an away kit as well on this thread in the future.
  13. If Nike and the Dallas Mavericks decided to go all in on the Skyline design this season...... Special shoutout to Riley Gisseman for the jersey template. Please let me know what you guys think!
  14. The Tennessee Titans' logo and uniforms and I have had a bit of an on-again-off-again relationship over the years. When I first remember seeing them in the Super Bowl against the Rams in 2000, I was in love with the logo, cuz, you know, FLAMES!!!!!!!! I was five then. As I got older, I soured on the logo, thinking the flames were over the top and the Titans would be better off using the sword alternate logo or the thumbtack roundel. The Titans' refusal to wear reasonable uniforms combos also drives me nuts. The helmet striping doesn't really go with anything and the brashier stripes on the pants don't feel right with the yoke, which has gotten too small over the years. The Uniforms have some good ideas, but I'm not crazy about the execution. Lately, the uniforms are still a mess, but I have come around on the idea of flames for the Titans. I think that is something they can own and it really just works. I do not care for the T logo. Besides the comparison to a thumbtack as far as it's shape goes, it feels small contained within the shield or roundel or whatever the circle is. The Titans logo should be big, "titanic" and the T should be the focal point, IMO. I threw out the bathwater, but kept the baby. The colors remain the same, but the Flaming T is bigger and bolder. I don't think this is a finished product but I'm also not entirely sure what parts of the logo needs more work so, please feel free to offer and C&C. I would really appreciate it. Once the logo gets to a good place, I'll work on some new uniforms to go with the updated logo. Thanks for having a look.
  15. Hey all, this is my first post on this forum in over 2 years. I'm working on a class assignment that asks us to create a brand that appeals to all generations. I decided to pick Denver because if you ever go to (I'm forever calling it) Mile High Stadium, you'll notice there is an internal fan base battle over the new navy and orange color scheme versus the traditional blue and orange from the OG Elway days. I just took some screenshots of the concepts and logo I have created so far because I'm really looking for some C&C on the next steps before I fully turn this into a presentable concept and project. So before I can waste anymore of your time.. Here is my idea. Blend both the Navy and traditional blue into a color scheme that works, evolve the new bronco head with the very famous "D" that has previously been introduced in their most recent Color Rush, and throw in some millennial sprinkles like a mountain and red rocks shadows in the numbering to give everyone a little taste of what they want the Broncos to look like. Again, C&C is very much appreciated! This would be the Broncos Alternate and "Color Rush" The Blue Color Rush and Alternate jersey's should design would be based off the City of Denver Flag. I removed the Sun from the jersey because of Nike's swoosh placement in the NFL. Up Close rough mockup featuring Nike's now famous sublimation pattern of Red Rocks Amphitheater.
  16. Its been a while since I've done a concept uniform on here, so I thought I would try and update my Arizona Cardinals. - Added a sandy tan color to accent the white and red instead of black on the uniforms. - Used a simple striping pattern across all three uniform pieces, I've been sick of the current piping and striping we currently have. - Made the red a little brighter and bolder than the current shade which is more like an actual cardinal in my opinion, not a huge change but still noticeable. - Thought about adding red pants, only for the away uniform, but I decided to keep it a non alternate concept to start. - Credit to Logan Weaver for the template! 17. Finally got some time to mess around with these hockey uniform templates. I thought I'd try doing hockey uniform versions of the 4 final teams in the NFL playoffs. Never did a mash up before so thought I'd try it out. Wanted to see what the thoughts were. It's the Patriots, Jaguars, Vikings and Eagles. I took various parts of the design from elements of the football uniform, IE: Pant shell stripes from pants, socks from socks or sleeve striping and jersey elements influenced by the elements on the football jerseys. Really enjoyed doing these and experimenting a bit. I didn't change/adjust any of the team logos. I just used the versions that the teams use in the NFL. Hopefully this works.
  18. I created a new concept for the Chicago Fire 3rd kit. The current away and 3rd kits are both based on the Chicago flag, so I thought it was time to change it up. These Jerseys are based on a fire fighter's uniform, The neon and silver accents would be a reflective material similar to that of a fire fighter's uniform. (the image with the black background is meant to show off the reflective accents.) This is what the reflective material looks like in action (Lower Left) This is also seen on the new Tampa Bay Jerseys Although The CFD wears black uniforms I wanted to keep at least on team color on the jersey.
  19. Hey, folks. Stumbling back to the boards for a short while as I work on another small project. I don't want to call this a rebrand but that's basically what I'm doing here. I love the Hershey Bears color scheme and even their logo set, but I feel like their jerseys are always subpar. That is besides their throwbacks and fauxback jerseys. This project will be taking their brand and making it a full classic vintage look, which I feel would suit the Bears best. For right now, I only have two teaser images up. These are basically the logos I will be working with for the concept. Still some tweaking to do, but I'm going full on 50's candy bar vintage style with this project. From the logos, jerseys, and posters, tickets, really anything. Should be a short and fun concept to work on. I hope those that follow along enjoy it as well! Obviously, would love to hear thoughts along the way, but just keep in mind, I'm not straying far away from the idea at hand which is: complete vintage Hershey Bears. So, without further adieu here are the first two teasers.
  20. Okay so I am posting for the first time in about 7 months... back when i used to use paint to make concept jerseys.... I have gotten better at designing and I decided to put my skills to use on my favorite basketball team, the Oklahoma City Thunder. Unlike many, I have always loved the Thunder's colorway and most of their uniform sets. Especially the away uniform. Anyway, I always felt like there could be a little bit of flare added to their uniforms. The designs I created take inspiration from the current Nike sets that they have right now as well as looking past to retro 90s uniforms. Take a look. The uniforms go as followed: White Association uniform, blue Icon uniform, Sunset uniform, and Thunderstorm city uniform
  21. This is just a quick and dirty concept I whipped up as an idea, should the Edmonton Eskimos choose to change the team name. I don't have a dog in the fight, so please stay away from the Native American mascot talk and keep to the concept. I think Polar Bears or Nannut, the Inuit word for polar bears, makes a lot of sense for Edmonton. Here's how it might look on the helmet: Here's a quick look at a green helmet: Please feel free to offer any criticism and critiques because this is just a very quick rough draft. I like the way it's headed but I'm not sure it's really there yet. Thanks for taking the time to have a look.
  22. I made this a while back since I like looking at college football logos. I always wanted to make a good cougar logo. One that would say yeah we know tons of ways to show our ferocity. Cougars have the perfect size and agility to kill. I want to build a detailed website of this university I created for a school project. This is their sports team logo I created. The Southern Ohio University Cougars. I didn't copy any logos, but Houston cougars looks a bit similar. I made a lot of different changes to make it my own. Near the bottom of the state there are hills so I was thinking of cougars being in that area. I used a gold and navy although their 3rd color is brown. The third color helps separate from looking like PITT or Navy. I like to think of tension with being close to Marshall so I picked Huntington as the nearby town. I would make the school 20 minutes away on the Ohio side. An explanation say for the made up future Huntington is much bigger and needs a university to keep fostering growth. School Name: Southern Ohio University Nickname: SOU (not zou) Mascot: Cougars Colors: Dark Navy Blue, Gold-like, light Brown, White Location: 20 Minutes north of Huntington Division: I (when good) Conference: ACC(when able to compete lol) Rival: Marshall Tell me what you think. I am trying to design other logos for the school to add to my website I'm making.

  24. I've always thought that Stanford should incorporate the tree as a design element more in their uniforms. Also, I always wanted to see them use the green from the logo on garments. I may have gone a little bit over board with the tree elements on this first design but I think it there is something to it. Please let me know what you guys think or if you have any cool ideas that would work with this design. Thank you!
