  2. This is just a concept I cooked up this week, being off work and not really having much to do. I have had it in my head ever since Illinois redesigned their entire athletic identity a couple years ago. While the new uniforms are miles better than the dated, piping-heavy uniforms from the 2000's, there are some pretty careless striping inconsistencies and design choices that I just don't agree with, so that being said, here is my take on the Fighting Illini. I decided to take the current font and return the classic Illinois script to the helmet because I have always had a soft spot for it for some reason, and IMO, the block I is too vertical to be a strong helmet logo. The orange helmet would be a traditional metallic or molded shell, not the anodized look Illinois has sported since the redesign. I tweaked the sleeve stripes on the blue and orange jerseys and also went with a more traditional full stripe on the pants and adjusted the striping proportions. The new uniforms also have single color numbers to evoke a classic feel as well. I don't really see the need for a white or blue helmet because I think the orange helmet is the strongest and is most often associated with Illini football. Obviously each uniform element would be interchangeable so the team could mix and match up to 9 combos, which is plenty as far as I'm concerned. Hopefully I have actually improved on Illinois' look and I'd love to hear what everyone thinks. Any comments and feedback would be appreciated, thanks for taking a look. Since this has turned into a little series, I thought I'd go ahead and include a list of the teams I plan on redesigning throughout this project: Already Done Illinois W. Virginia Cornell Arkansas St. Dartmouth Northwestern North Dakota State
  3. Hi all, I got bored one-day and decided to use Nike's teambuilder website to re-design some NFL uniforms Up first: The Carolina Panthers I like Carolina's design right now. Simple and clean. I wanted to keep that going and add a little to it. The home jerseys stay black with white numbers and a light blue outline. However I added the Panthers across front in light blue and put some light blue sleeves on it. Also a light blue/white stripe across the middle. The away jersey follows the same design as the home jersey with a some color swaps to fit the jersey. The alt light-blue jersey also works as the color rush jersey. Let me know what you guys think! Next up will be the Arizona Cardinals
  4. (Updated) I have updated the main post so the finalized renderings are seen first. (Still debating over final numbers. Both based off current Eagles font, but modified) Here is the remainder of the blog for how the above were created. Look through and comment I will update the finals if suggestions and changes are warranted. **** ORIGINAL POST BELOW ***** Okay, I've heard lots of talk about modernizing a throwback classic Eagles uniform but haven't seen any good renderings for what the single vision is for this. So, I took the time and created a one. There is too much discussion to me about "Kelly Green". It's more than that. It's bringing back tradition and having an identity that the loyal fan base can relate to. Lots of Kelly Green advocates seem to just want the "old" back. And this annoys the Millennials who don't care about the past...preferring cool. I just want green back (not some hipster made up color) and would love to see a return of silver. To me, the Eagles' colors should be green, silver and white. Agree??? I feel these would be some of the best uniforms in football...home or away. Your input is appreciated to fine tune them. Notes: Green - Not Kelly (50/60s), and not as dark as 80's. Hopefully modernly in between (jersey would have modern shiny shoulder/chest) Silver - The silver has a slight green tint to make it unique (pants would be shiny material) No black - removed from wing logo (any black seen is outline of drawings only) Facemask - Gray, not shiny silver Concept - Closest is Vick era throwback 50's (with shoulder stripes everyone comments on), mixed with the 80's (without overdoing the stripes), and utilizing modern helmet wing and materials

  6. The Bulls logo, at least in my opinion, is in much need of an update, as classic as it is. With inspiration from the Windy City Bulls logo, I decided to update this classic logo into a much less dated and cooler design. Let me know what you think. OLD: NEW:
  7. Hey y'all, Decided to try and revamp the New York Rangers' classic logo. Currently, their logo set is a bit cluttered, taking on multiple fonts and styles mixed from both the 90s and the 40s-60s. Some quick descriptions: Color: Held constant from current logo set 1. Primary: Keeping the same general shield style as the current logo, although there are two major changes. The first change being a font shift back to an adjusted form of the 1940s-60s font that the Rangers used. The second change is the "Rangers" now reads step-style, rather than simply diagonally. 2. Lady Liberty Alternate Returns: Due to the seemingly universal demand for the return of the lady liberty alternate logo used until the late 2000s, I brought it back, adjusted and improved in multiple ways. The first change is the colors are updated to reflect the same colors in the scheme currently used. The second change is the new font, which same style as the one used in the primary. The third, although minor, is the adjusted shield, which now has rounded curves near the bottom, whereas the older version had sharp diagonal sides. The fourth change is the addition of the four stars, representing the four Stanley Cups the Rangers have won. 3. NY Pride Secondary/partial: Finally, I wanted a simpler logo that could effectively be used on alternate merchandise, rather than the more complex Lady Liberty. It involves the same font as the primary and alternate, featuring a silhouetted Rangers shield. It is in similar style to the Rangers proposed Winter Classic logo, while being a tad more modern. Lemme know what y'all think and if you have any suggestions, please tell me.
  8. WESTEROS FOOTBALL LEAGUE What's up everyone. For my first post I am proud to present a project I have been working on for quite a bit. If you're a fan of Game of Thrones and the NFL, then this may be for you. The project takes the question, "What if Westeros had its own professional football league?", and brings it to life. For those that are unfamiliar, Westeros is the main continent of the World of Ice and Fire, and the setting of the very popular HBO show, Game of Thrones. Based off the best-selling book series by George RR Martin, Game of Thrones just wrapped up its seventh season. With the NFL season starting, I thought it would be a great time to present this series. Without further ado, here it is. THE TEAMS Each team is based off one of the major houses in Westeros. The teams' uniforms and branding draw from different aspects of each house such as the house sigil, the house words, characters attire, and more. You may also notice some teams draw inspiration from NFL teams as well. I have decided to begin with twelve teams to keep things simple, however, there is definitely the possibility of expanding beyond that in the future. The North Castle Black Crows Bear Island Bears Winterfell Direwolves The East Eyrie Falcons Dragonstone Dragons Storm's End Stags The West Pyke Kraken Clegane's Keep Kennel Lannisport Lions The South Riverrun Trout Highgarden Flowers Sunspear Sandsnakes
  9. This is my first time trying my hand at graphic design, and I wanted to see what others thought. I'm not an artist, and I don't have an incredibly deep understanding of graphic design- I assume what I drew has bad vectoring, but I couldn't tell you the first thing about what vectors are, or what adding the suffix 'ing' to the word vector actually means. So if this is offensively amateur, feel free to let me know and I'll scrub this post! Just wondering if this is anything.
  10. Over time, I have been working on concept uniforms for all 130 FBS football teams. I did the universities that are currently planning on staying or joining the FBS level. My designs were intended to be very unique and creative. I have had a lot of fun during this designing process while creating new uniform ideas. I will start uploading the uniforms for each team in alphabetical order. Let me know what you guys think and which ones are your favorites. Hope you enjoy!

  12. So, if anyone knows me well, I do not mess around with NBA often. As far as tradition goes, I know the most popular teams but other teams I'm not so sure on. In this case, I'm pretty sure the Knicks have some foundation with a traditional look, no? Well, this goes what I believe to be in a very different direction the Knicks have ever gone to. To me, it's a mix of traditional design with modern design. Not sure if I should continue this concept further (full on primary, secondary marks, white jersey, court design). Depending on the responses I may continue this. Hopefully, there is something to build on. Let me know! Template found @Webpixum .com
  13. So because I have no life as many of you guys don't either, I decided to make a CCSLC account. I did this so I can present my Madden CFM league thing. I took all of the AFC teams and relocated them to almost all of the cities on CFM that you can relocate to. There are 18 options, but since there's only 16 teams I didn't use Salt Lake City or Houston, because the team name/logo options sucked (with the exception of the Oilers.) I left the NFC teams alone and pretend they don't exist. What I do is simulate the games so I can watch and not control them. I will post weekly highlights and scores of the league when I can. Here are the rules and set up of the league: - A simulated fantasy draft was held at the beginning of the first season. - 7 min quarters, but game mode is set to "fast" so the scores are realistic to a real NFL game - 12 games per season, excluding preseason (each team plays an NFC team 4 times, but it counts as a forced win for the AFC team) -AFC championship counts as the final "championship" (super bowl is simulated and ignored) Here is an overview of the teams, but I'll post in depth each team later (uniforms, roster, etc): East: -London Black Knights -London Bulldogs -Brooklyn Bulls -Dublin Celtic Tigers North: -Columbus Aviators -Toronto Thunderbirds -Chicago Tigers -Portland Snowhawks South: -Oklahoma City Bisons -Mexico City Diablos -Orlando Sentinels -Memphis Steamers West: -Austin Desperados -San Antonio Dreadnoughts -Sacramento Miners -Los Angeles Red Dragons
  14. Hello! This is my first ever uniform/logo concepts I have ever done. I am a graphic designer on Instagram, and I am taking a jab at concepts for the first time. Constructive criticism and Feedback is very welcomed!
  15. The Boston Bruins Logo is timeless, and that's why I decided to redesign it. ...Wait what? One of the best challenges is designing a new logo that "Cannot be made any better." By no means am I saying it's better, but I had a blast making it. What are your thoughts?
  16. After making court concepts of all the NCAA D1 schools, I decided to do the NBA G League (formerly NBA D-League) next. Obviously many of these designs couldn't currently be used due to NBAGL teams sharing arenas/courts with other teams but it's still fun to design them. I didn't get as creative as I did with the NCAA courts because the NBA/NBAGL are still generally more traditional with their designs and I still want the concepts to be realistic. I used DarthBrooks court template. I will post them in groups of 5 (except for the last group which will be 6). A few things you might notice... The more unique logos the team has the more I tried to incorporate them into the court. Many of the courts are similar to their parent team's court. I added the team's parent team logo to the upper left and lower right corners. I didn't include websites, twitter handles, hashtags, etc. on the out-of-bounds area. Delaware 87ers Erie Bayhawks Reno Bighorns Oklahoma City Blue Windy City Bulls
  17. I've prepared some NHL concepts where I try and refresh team branding and uniforms. I'm trying to make the rest of the league fall more in line with what I've come to expect from Adidas. All teams get *some* sort of change from their current (Reebok) uniforms, although a few don't see much change at all (ie. Flyers, Leafs). I will accept C&C but I don't plan on making revisions to the uniforms unless I really feel compelled. I will be adding "Marquee Matchups" where teams use special uniforms. This is where C&C would be most useful, in suggesting matchups, uniforms, revisions, etc. I will use this first post as a HUB for the concepts: Metropolitan Battle of New York (NYI v NYR) Keystone Classic (PHI @ PIT) Stevens' Cup (WAS + MIN @ NJD) Ohio Classic (PIT @ CBJ) Atlantic Tribute (NJD v PHI) All-American Clash (STL v NYR) Atlantic Battle of Ontario (TOR v OTT) Governor's Cup (FLA v TBL) All-American Clash (WAS v DET) International Classic (BOS @ MTL) Norris Cup (CHI v DET) Hartford Classic (CAR v BUF) Central All-American Clash (NSH v COL) International Classic (VAN @ CHI) All-American Clash (MIN v STL) Battle of Wisconsin (MIN v CHI) All-Canadian Clash (TOR v WPG) Star Series (MIN v DAL) Pacific California Series (ANA + SJS @ LAK) Battle of Alberta (CGY v EDM) Battle of the Desert (ARI v VGK) Marquee of '93 (FLA v ANA) All-American Clash (VGK v LAK) Pacific Territories (SJS v VAN)
  18. NCAA Tournament is winding down, MLB Opening Day a week away or less, and the release of MLB The Show 17 tonight, I thought it would be fun to show you a World Series Concept Logo I've been working on. World Series Logos from years past My Concept for the 2017 World Series: A navy and steel blue gradient diamond with a red interior outline and white bases and home plate. Four pennant flags (four because two didn't look like enough) I guess you could say the four stand for the following: 1 to represent the NL, 1 to represent the AL. 1 for the NL champion and 1 for the AL champion (but I think that's reaching a bit). The World Series in a "Championship Gold" and "Autumn Brown" gradients. Date in white above, and the MLB league logo at the bottom. Improvements: - Wondering if MLB league logo should be a bit smaller to center with home plate. - I had a baseball logo that I was going to put in the two pennant flags but didn't look right to me and wasn't sure where else to put it. - World Series seems like it's not truly centered, which according to my program I use it is, so maybe it's my eyes playing tricks on me. As usual, C&C appreciated. (The timer on MLB The Show 17 on my PS4 is moving so slow...)
  19. The Western Collegiate Ball Hockey Association (W.C.B.H.A.) is a fictional college ball hockey league located in the western United States. Teams compete using most of the same rules as the N.C.A.A. However one major rule change would be the floating blue line. The first season consist of 11 teams in the Pacific and Sierra conference. Teams play in 3 men’s divisions and 2 women’s divisions. Teams in the men’s and women’s division 1 play 34 games. Teams in the men’s and women’s division 2 play 24 games. Fallowing the regular season there is a single game elimination tournament with 8 teams. Teams in the men’s division 3 play 14 games. The regular season starts the first weekend in October and ends the last week of March. The tournament starts the first week of April. The men’s and women’s division 1 tournament will be held in Las Vegas at the T-Mobile Arena. The men’s and women’s division 2 tournament will take place in Reno at the Reno Events Center. The men’s and women’s division 3 tournament will take place in San Jose at the Sharks Ice at San Jose. 20. So we have no sort of info on what the court for the 'Wolves will look like, considering the summer-long renovation, so I decided to play around with a template and made this. It's a bit rough around the edges, due to my limited know-how on graphic design, but it's just an idea I had.
  21. Texas has one of the best uniforms in CFB. It is practically untouchable. But I designed several concepts that I felt could change some peoples minds. Give me your thoughts. - Original template by Andrew Lind
  22. Hello guys, welcome to the SCAA! If all goes well, this ambitious project should be interesting and fun for the whole community. I do not believe something like this has been done before on the boards, the closest comparison would probably be the soccer club cup project floating around here a while ago. Without further ado, let's get into the general idea and some rules! General Idea The general idea of this project is to create an NCAA-like system here on the boards. Each member creates a fictional university, and creates logos and uniforms for different sports for that university. This would not be something you have to apply to, just post your way in. As more people add schools, conferences will be created, expanded, and more will be created. With this, conference logos, bowls and whatever else comes around will be created as well. This will hopefully create a tradition and history of it's own. Traditional sports like Football, Basketball, Baseball, Hockey, and Soccer could be included. However the amount of content for each university is up to the creator. Want to show off your college's womens lacrosse uniforms? Go right ahead! THIS IS NOT A FANTASY LEAGUE There are college fantasy leagues here already, this is not meant to replace them. With this idea I don't mean to tread on the toes of fantasy leagues here or the members that diligently compete in them. This is purely for design, for those folks who just want to help create something like another world, and add there own little piece. A note for people who might be in these fantasy leagues, keep those teams in fantasy leagues. Don't mix them into this mess. So, how do we start something like this? Initially, people would just post concepts of style guides/logos, NO UNIFORMS YET. This to keep clutter down, and we don't even know what sports we would be covering. Once enough people contributed, conferences could be discussed. This would be continued until concrete decisions are made. Conferences would then be created officially. Concepts would be continually posted, and talks of expansion would open up. A time limit would be set to enter teams into "consideration" (EVERYONE CAN JOIN, NO ONE WILL BE LEFT OUT. CONSIDERATION MEANS WHICH CONFERENCE YOUR TEAM WOULD END UP IN). Once this time limit is up, conference alignment would be set up, and the process would repeat. Somewhere in this process, uniform concepts would be created and other cool stuff like that. I would only ask that you KEEP POSTS CONCISE. DON'T POST FIVE TIMES WHAT YOU CAN POST IN ONE POST (that was a mouthful). Obviously something like this would involve an absurd amount of people, so posting could easily get out of hand. Post initially in this format Name of University: Nickname: Location (City, State): Colors: *Please attach logo sheets and things like that under, feel free to include other fun stuff about the college as well! A Few More Cosmetic Rules -Schools must be original. Don't try to put in "University of Michigan State" or something stupid like that. This is meant to be 100% original content. -One primary logo. It doesn't matter if the logo is as simple as a block letter, just make sure there is a clearly defined primary logo. People are of course free to have as many secondary and tertiary logos as they please. -At least one primary and one secondary color. Don't just say "My school color is red". It's gotta be at least red and white. -MAX. two universities to a single metro area (at least to begin with). There's a lot of United States out there, explore it. If there are truly too many universities, there's always room to change this rule. -Use your best judgement for potentially offensive nicknames and things. Best Judgment. Need I say more? So, what do you all think? I have a concept locked and loaded but I'd like to hear what you all think first! I think this has the potential to be something fun for the community as a whole, and potentially get newer members stirred up into the pot a little bit. Alot of different levels of expertise would be represented, and noobies and vets alike could receive helpful criticism along the way. It would be a lot of work, and I'd need the help of anyone who wants to get this going! Questions, comments, and concerns are greatly appreciated, hope to hear from all of you!
  23. Recently, I've been working on changing up my template and presentation for soccer jerseys. I decided to test out the ideas I've had on my high school Alma Mater, McQuaid Jesuit in Rochester, NY. McQuaid just went through a new rebrand, which hearkened back to the original marks from when the school was founded in the 50s. This led most of the teams to get new jerseys and gear. The only team that hasn't gotten new jerseys for some reason is the soccer team. I wanted to give them some new jerseys that were a little more sleek and had more personality than the template Nike kits that the team currently wears. For the primary kit, I kept the traditional minimalist all white kit. A slashed stripe gradient design is found in the upper half of the kit, which pays homage to the seal of the school and the coat of arms of St. Ignatius Loyola. I updated the crest with the new Knight logo, and also added black trim with a splash of gold on the socks. For the secondary one, I elected to go for a more unconventional design. Drawing from the kit style of Sao Paulo or Spartak Moscow, a large alternate "M" logo lies at the chest of the kit, in front of a gradient hoop design. The numbers lie over the heart on the upper right. The black shorts, socks, and trim complement the bold gold shirt. Let me know what you think of the presentation and the kits! Hope you enjoyed!
  24. Here are my Concept uniforms for the MLB! C&C is always appreciated! I will be keeping each of the logos that the teams have now, just changing some colors around. Enjoy!
