  1. The Western Collegiate Ball Hockey Association (W.C.B.H.A.) is a fictional college ball hockey league located in the western United States. Teams compete using most of the same rules as the N.C.A.A. However one major rule change would be the floating blue line. The first season consist of 11 teams in the Pacific and Sierra conference. Teams play in 3 men’s divisions and 2 women’s divisions. Teams in the men’s and women’s division 1 play 34 games. Teams in the men’s and women’s division 2 play 24 games. Fallowing the regular season there is a single game elimination tournament with 8 teams. Teams in the men’s division 3 play 14 games. The regular season starts the first weekend in October and ends the last week of March. The tournament starts the first week of April. The men’s and women’s division 1 tournament will be held in Las Vegas at the T-Mobile Arena. The men’s and women’s division 2 tournament will take place in Reno at the Reno Events Center. The men’s and women’s division 3 tournament will take place in San Jose at the Sharks Ice at San Jose. 2. So we have no sort of info on what the court for the 'Wolves will look like, considering the summer-long renovation, so I decided to play around with a template and made this. It's a bit rough around the edges, due to my limited know-how on graphic design, but it's just an idea I had.
  3. Texas has one of the best uniforms in CFB. It is practically untouchable. But I designed several concepts that I felt could change some peoples minds. Give me your thoughts. - Original template by Andrew Lind
  4. Hello guys, welcome to the SCAA! If all goes well, this ambitious project should be interesting and fun for the whole community. I do not believe something like this has been done before on the boards, the closest comparison would probably be the soccer club cup project floating around here a while ago. Without further ado, let's get into the general idea and some rules! General Idea The general idea of this project is to create an NCAA-like system here on the boards. Each member creates a fictional university, and creates logos and uniforms for different sports for that university. This would not be something you have to apply to, just post your way in. As more people add schools, conferences will be created, expanded, and more will be created. With this, conference logos, bowls and whatever else comes around will be created as well. This will hopefully create a tradition and history of it's own. Traditional sports like Football, Basketball, Baseball, Hockey, and Soccer could be included. However the amount of content for each university is up to the creator. Want to show off your college's womens lacrosse uniforms? Go right ahead! THIS IS NOT A FANTASY LEAGUE There are college fantasy leagues here already, this is not meant to replace them. With this idea I don't mean to tread on the toes of fantasy leagues here or the members that diligently compete in them. This is purely for design, for those folks who just want to help create something like another world, and add there own little piece. A note for people who might be in these fantasy leagues, keep those teams in fantasy leagues. Don't mix them into this mess. So, how do we start something like this? Initially, people would just post concepts of style guides/logos, NO UNIFORMS YET. This to keep clutter down, and we don't even know what sports we would be covering. Once enough people contributed, conferences could be discussed. This would be continued until concrete decisions are made. Conferences would then be created officially. Concepts would be continually posted, and talks of expansion would open up. A time limit would be set to enter teams into "consideration" (EVERYONE CAN JOIN, NO ONE WILL BE LEFT OUT. CONSIDERATION MEANS WHICH CONFERENCE YOUR TEAM WOULD END UP IN). Once this time limit is up, conference alignment would be set up, and the process would repeat. Somewhere in this process, uniform concepts would be created and other cool stuff like that. I would only ask that you KEEP POSTS CONCISE. DON'T POST FIVE TIMES WHAT YOU CAN POST IN ONE POST (that was a mouthful). Obviously something like this would involve an absurd amount of people, so posting could easily get out of hand. Post initially in this format Name of University: Nickname: Location (City, State): Colors: *Please attach logo sheets and things like that under, feel free to include other fun stuff about the college as well! A Few More Cosmetic Rules -Schools must be original. Don't try to put in "University of Michigan State" or something stupid like that. This is meant to be 100% original content. -One primary logo. It doesn't matter if the logo is as simple as a block letter, just make sure there is a clearly defined primary logo. People are of course free to have as many secondary and tertiary logos as they please. -At least one primary and one secondary color. Don't just say "My school color is red". It's gotta be at least red and white. -MAX. two universities to a single metro area (at least to begin with). There's a lot of United States out there, explore it. If there are truly too many universities, there's always room to change this rule. -Use your best judgement for potentially offensive nicknames and things. Best Judgment. Need I say more? So, what do you all think? I have a concept locked and loaded but I'd like to hear what you all think first! I think this has the potential to be something fun for the community as a whole, and potentially get newer members stirred up into the pot a little bit. Alot of different levels of expertise would be represented, and noobies and vets alike could receive helpful criticism along the way. It would be a lot of work, and I'd need the help of anyone who wants to get this going! Questions, comments, and concerns are greatly appreciated, hope to hear from all of you!
  5. Recently, I've been working on changing up my template and presentation for soccer jerseys. I decided to test out the ideas I've had on my high school Alma Mater, McQuaid Jesuit in Rochester, NY. McQuaid just went through a new rebrand, which hearkened back to the original marks from when the school was founded in the 50s. This led most of the teams to get new jerseys and gear. The only team that hasn't gotten new jerseys for some reason is the soccer team. I wanted to give them some new jerseys that were a little more sleek and had more personality than the template Nike kits that the team currently wears. For the primary kit, I kept the traditional minimalist all white kit. A slashed stripe gradient design is found in the upper half of the kit, which pays homage to the seal of the school and the coat of arms of St. Ignatius Loyola. I updated the crest with the new Knight logo, and also added black trim with a splash of gold on the socks. For the secondary one, I elected to go for a more unconventional design. Drawing from the kit style of Sao Paulo or Spartak Moscow, a large alternate "M" logo lies at the chest of the kit, in front of a gradient hoop design. The numbers lie over the heart on the upper right. The black shorts, socks, and trim complement the bold gold shirt. Let me know what you think of the presentation and the kits! Hope you enjoyed!
  6. Here are my Concept uniforms for the MLB! C&C is always appreciated! I will be keeping each of the logos that the teams have now, just changing some colors around. Enjoy!
  7. I finally decided to upload a concept to the site, so let's see how this goes! I was pretty excited when Beto O'Rourke announced that he was going to run for Texas' U.S. Senate seat, so I decided to put my built up energy into use and make a graphic/ poster (I will probably tinker with the dimensions, if I do use it as a poster) in support of his campaign. I wanted to theme the graphic around a Southwestern/Hispanic textile design which is reflective of O'Rourke's hometown and congressional district of El Paso, Texas. I based the color scheme further around this by including pastel versions of the colors typically associated with the West Texas town (Orange and Blue: UTEP and Yellow: El Paso flag). The center of the design reads "Run Beto for Senate" inside an 'abstract' representation of the State of Texas (I felt that something more geometric played better with the theme) coupled with a 'Lone Star' in West Texas. The font used for "Run" and "for Senate" is El Sancho Rancho, and "Beto" is sourced from his senate/congressional campaign logo. C&C are obviously welcome, but I'd rather it center around the design instead of politics
  8. Last year I did a full re-design for the NHL. At the time, the Vegas logo wasn't out yet. Now that it is and it's getting close to the jersey reveal, here's my take on the Vegas Golden Knights. I have a few different designs that I put together, however, this one was the one I liked the best. I wanted to give the feel that there are different sections to the jersey much like the armor of a knight (shoulder yoke, sleeve/waist striping). I dabbled without a yoke for a bit, but opted for it simply for that reason. The secondary mark is used as a patch on the shoulders. Striping is consistent across the waist and sleeves. If you've seen my NHL series, you'll know that I love sublimation so I had to throw my spin in on this one. I used the "Welcome to Vegas" stars across the gold striping on the waist. I didn't carry it to the sleeves because it felt too busy. There are 4 jerseys in this set. Home/away/2 alts. Alternates are a black and a red version. I opted to not make a gold because I'm not a huge fan of it as a primary (ie Jaguars color rush). Anyway, let me know what you think. I'll likely post my other versions I created as well. 9. I always loved the 72 Dolphins Logo but its very dated obviously so i wanted to update the 72 logo a bit, heres my concept, Thoughts?
  10. I made a Dallas Cowboys uniforms that make them look unique and entertaining. introducing the Elite Dallas Cowboys Uniforms. So what i did was found some designs on the internet trying to figure out what designs to use on the uniform well here is what i did. 1: i use the double Star design on the shoulders adding the numbers and the Nike logo to make it look good 2: the pants design is too boring so i added a design that will make it look unique. 3: i added the design from captain america so it represents Americas team. 4: i added a side design on the jersey so it looked nice. 5: the helmet has a bigger star and instead of a line i added a sharp spike to make it look good. here is a show case of the uniforms Uniform Template Photo Realistic
  11. Taking a dip into the world of MLB batting helmets Here are some interesting concept for hydro dipped helmets. I personally like the Yankees, Pirates, Astros, Diamondbacks, and Padres.
  12. Hey, I find the Giants current uniforms to be, while classic, rather bland. So, I decided to revamp the uniforms: Both uniforms are based on the 1980s-90s Giants uniforms with a few changes: 1) The white pants currently on the Giants alternate home uniform will be implemented on the new unifoms 2) The socks on the away uniform will be red 3) An all-new, matte finished helmet with the "NY" logo featuring a new red border and new blue Lemme know what y'all think and provide suggestions!
  13. Hello everyone, It's been a while since I've last posted on this site. Glad to stop by and see some new people posting! This is one of the first concepts of done in quite some time and I figured I'd add it to the forum. This was my senior project for my Graphic Design major. The last graphic design class in my college career! In short, we had the whole semester (a little more as we started at the end of last semester) to work on a brand. There were 14 students in the course and we all picked something to brand. Some picked fast food (You can see some of her work on my Behance project page), check the game program), some picked guitar stores, puppy adoption, Positive news stations, but knowing me, I had to do a hockey team. Full project on Behance, feel free to check it out on there or just see some of the images here! Link: https://www.behance.net/gallery/51875739/Houston-Bulls-NHL-Expansion-Team
  14. In this series I will be re-branding all 32 NFL Team's uniforms with either Nike (Mach Speed, Pro Combat, Vapor Untouchable), Adidas (Techfit 2016), or Under Armour (Diablo). Nike/Jordan Carolina Panthers New York Jets Adidas Tampa Bay Buccaneers Minnesota Vikings New Orleans Saints Under Armour Las Vegas Raiders Atlanta Falcons Leave comments and requests of what team with what brand/template you want.
  15. Hello, This is the first time I've ever done a concept. It is rough, but i hope you guys like it. So, the MLB wants Cleveland to get rid of Chief Wahoo. Their current logo is boring, plain, and doesn't say "Indians" Here are the logos and uniforms! Hope you enjoy! This is their current "C" logo with some feathers attatched This is and old "Indians" on their current jerseys with the block C and a new hat. Current Away jersey with new C, and hat
  16. Went on Dribbble today and found a great concept for the Cleveland Indians. The work was done by Danny Sherman, I'm not sure if he's on the boards so I wanted to show of this great piece in his behalf. I think that that negative space "I" in the block C really helps give it that little spark of interest that their current primary logo desperately needs. If you're on Dribbble, go give him some love: https://dribbble.com/shots/3080323-Cleveland-Still-Rocks
  17. After studying the leaked photo from the Lions, I came up with the following. I hope they don't over embellish the number font like the Lions current uniforms or the Vikings. And it looks like they might have chrome face masks. At least I hope so. I feel the helmet would be too similar to the Cowboys if they went with a grey face mask.
  18. This may sound crazy, however Florida would make a great place for an outdoor game, probably a stadium series game. The perfect place would be the Tampa Bay Buccaneers stadium (Raymond James Stadium). Tampa Bay can reach the temperature of nearly 32 F, a perfect temperature and can sustain ice long enough. This would be perfect for these two Florida teams, shedding much press attention on what would have otherwise been a fairly unnoticed event by them. The jersey were based off the old Tampa jerseys mashed together and were meant for Tampa only, however the Panthers looked too good in them to pass by. Generally the theme besides storm vs sun is retro jerseys. The arena would be set up with palm trees all around the outskirts similar Minnesota's pine tree display. There would be a small picture above the arena of a sun facing off against a storm, pushing against one another. This would be between the logos. When the Bolts come out lightning coils will activate as they walk in. When the Panthers walk in fire will erupt followed by gold-ish smoke. Worst case scenario it all melts .
  19. For quite some time now, I've had an idea for the NFL that I'm finally bringing to life in a series. I think I'm in the majority in saying that most of these NFL Color Rush uniforms are just hard on the eyes (putting it kindly). So instead of Thursday night games being Color Rush, let's have Throwback Thursday. The idea is to gain interest from all targets. It's a fairly new, trendy term that appeals to the young market, however it also reaches the older population in that teams can bring back some classic looks (i.e. Oilers, Orange Crush Broncos, etc). Not to mention it would just give the NFL more jerseys to put on the shelves. I think it could really be a hit. Parameters for this project are as follows. I'll be creating a dark set and a light set (home/away) for each team. Some teams may have just a plain retro look they've used in the past and some I will be putting a twist on. NFL one helmet rule is out the window (teams will be allowed to use a shell that is different from their primary). I'll most likely be going in alphabetical order unless someone has a suggestion they'd like me to bump up. Now, I haven't had much time as of late to creating concepts, so I can't promise I'll be pumping these out super fast. Anyway, as always, C&C is appreciated. Enjoy! Arizona Cardinals (1/32) First up, Arizona. For the most part the Cardinals have had a pretty plain past. I didn't want to go too hog wild on this one. Plain reds for the home and white for the away. Alternating pant colors with double striping. Helmets are white with the original logo and features the classic gray facemask. Also reverted back to more of the brick color red.
  20. With the MLB season starting today many local sandlot leagues will do the same. I thought this might be a fun opportunity to make my Sandlot League team's new logo into a concept of a new MLB team. So far I made our logo, we have been using these 2 logos since 2013. Later (I'm working on it now) I will post a full MLB style uniform concept of my SandLot team, The Moonman Baseball Club. Please C&C as I go!
  21. Today as an April Fools joke, the group behind a prospective MLS team in San Diego unveiled that they'd be calling their team San Diego Footy McFooty Face due to it finishing first in their online poll. Obviously this was a joke but nonetheless, here is the logo they presented. Seeing as how this was clearly a tongue-in-cheek attempt at coming up with a logo for the San Diego Footy McFooty Face, I thought I'd at least put some effort into making a better one that doesn't look like a bunch of clip art cobbled together. So, after just an hour, this is what I came up instead. Thoughts? I won't say it's a great logo by any means but I feel it's at least a significant improvement on the original.
  22. Hello, A couple of days I was thinking about the "Color Rush" unis that the NFL teams use. I wondered how major NCAA teams would look with these flashy sets. I did a quick search, and found BKKnight95's old thread about NCAA Color Rush unis. If you would like to see his, Click Here. Anyways, I decided to give a crack at it, and came up with a pretty nice set for Georgia. Here it is. List: Georgia (Edited) Georgia Tech (Edited)
  23. I teased this series in my Bucks modernization concept, but now the series is ready to go. I've plotted out a redesign of the NBA, with the intended goal of breaking up the monotony of most of the league's looks by placing its aesthetics between 70's/80's tradition and 90's crazy. These concepts also buck with current trends in the league, going back to the pre-Rev30 material (allowing for proper twill lettering, pinstripes, split numbers, and effects on the fabric) and having college lines on the courts (as I feel they add more color to the key). Also, a big thank you to Conrad for his NBA Font collection, as without it this project would have been impossible. Completed teams: Atlanta Hawks Boston Celtics Brooklyn Nets Charlotte Hornets (V2) (V3) Chicago Bulls Cleveland Cavaliers Dallas Mavericks (V2) Denver Nuggets (Court V2) (V2) Detroit Pistons (Road V2) Houston Rockets (V1.5) (V2) (V3) Indiana Pacers Kansas City Diesels (Alt V2) Los Angeles Clippers (V2) Los Angeles Lakers Memphis Grizzlies Miami Heat (V2) (V3) (V3.5) Milwaukee Bucks (Alt V2) (V2) Minnesota Timberwolves (V2) New Orleans Pelicans New York Knicks (V2) Oklahoma City Thunder (V2) (V3) Orlando Magic (V2A) (V2B) (V3) Philadelphia 76ers (V2) (V3) Phoenix Suns (V2) Portland Trail Blazers Sacramento Kings (Road V2) San Antonio Spurs San Francisco Warriors (V2) Seattle Supersonics (V2) Toronto Raptors (Alt V2) Utah Jazz (V2) (V3) Washington Federals Division Alignment and Design Compilations So, without any further delay, here's the first team in the league, the Atlanta Hawks! ATLANTA HAWKS When the Atlanta Hawks released their new secondary logo, I immediately leaped on the idea of a fauxback/neo-retro look for them (much like what I wish the Falcons would do). I started out by going back to the red and yellow color scheme, as red solo looked far too plain and black really cluttered up the look (also, I believe that any team that added black in the 90's when they did not have black before should remove all black from their color scheme, i.e. Calgary Flames, Cincinnati Reds, 1998-2011 New York Mets, etc.). So, I simply placed a yellow outline on the new secondary, adjusted the 2003 All-Star Game alternate logo to be the new secondary, and removed the beveling from the "ATL" logo. The court is a retro-styled look, with the new pac-hawk logo at center court, yellow detailing along with the red paint, and the retro Hawk within the 3-point line. Uniforms While I do appreciate the 'Nique-era look, I was not enough of a fan to bring it back full time. So, I decided to hybrid their late-70's look with their early 2000's look. I maintained the current lettering and number font, as it is my favorite part of their current look. Crew neck collars return, as they enhance the retro feel and the Hawks used them up until the Rev30 was introduced. The result is a fusion of classic sensibilities with some modern touches. The first alternate is a yellow alt based on this look (which was easy to recreate, thanks to Conrad's "Highlight Factory" font) that also justifies using the "ATL" script (because of the size issues related to the striping pattern), and the second is a throwback to the 'Nique era (they were too iconic to leave out of the redesign). Up next, the Boston Celtics!
