  1. Not sure how far I'm gonna go with this series, I'm just gonna play it by ear and if anyone comes up with suggestions for clubs. The original idea came when I was asked to sign up a team for a friends league in PES. The team I had in mind was based off of the show Courage The Cowardly Dog, and was named the Nowhere Brave Soon afterward, I got back into watching old episodes of Space Ghost Coast to Coast and, along with the passing of the voice actor of Zorak & Moltar, I felt like attempting a series out of this concept. The idea for this crest was to base it off the color scheme & three variations of the Space Ghost logos that I have been familiar with. This logo, I'm still not fully satisfied with. Here's what I currently have for Ghost Planet FC. If there are any suggestions for future clubs or critiques for either of these two, especially the latter, I would greatly appreciate it!

  3. Hey there, the Serie A, Italian major soccer league, started again last weekend and while watching some of the games I couldn't avoid to notice how AC Milan crest look outdated compared to some others (e.g. Juventus or Inter Milan) which have been updated in the recent past. It just feel a bit too corporate (in a bad way) and blocky (probably the last time it's been updated was during the '80s). I've decided to give it a try and put together a quick presentation, also highlighting some of the issues I tried to fix. As usual, feedbacks are really welcome. Cheers
  4. Hey guys! I've been working on rebranding a few teams in the Japanese top-flight, the J-League, and i'd love to share them with you! The first one I completed was for the Urawa Red Diamonds, or just Urawa Reds. They're Japan's most popular team and they, like mostly all the other teams, haven't updated their logo in ages. For the most commercialized team, I thought a rebranding to something more accessible would be in order. The first version is a scripted variant, and the second is the standard english. Let me know what you think of this one! My main trade is kit/uniform design, so I may post a few along with the logos if I have time, but the focus is the logos! Wouldn't change much about their uniform styles either. thanks!
  5. Hey guys! Haven't posted here in a while but I just started getting into crest designs rather than uniform concepts, and I thought about sharing this. Its a pretty daunting task and I didn't want to change too much, but I wanted to clean up the crest to the point where it had the charm of the historic ones but the modern touch of the current badge. I'll most likely keep updating this post with other crests and uniform concepts so I dont have to make new threads for each team and all that. Please let me know what you think! One thing I will concede is that the font is a bit crooked and weird and thats just because I had to do it manually, as I didn't have access to my desktop which has a proper program (AI) for that. thanks dudes Other images Weird Collage: Kit sketch example:
  6. Doing a bit of a series of Canadian soccer crests - Here's Hamilton FC. Based on the city flag, as well as the local history of Hamilton being one of Canada's centres of the Steel Industry early in their history. Also the nickname hammers seems appropriate given that it's HAMilton + the steel thing. City flag for reference: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/f/f3/Flag_of_Hamilton.svg/2000px-Flag_of_Hamilton.svg.png http://imgur.com/2zH9OYb Thanks guys! Love ya
  7. Hey guys, First time posting a topic here and it's a side project I've been working on the past couple of weeks that I'd like to get some feedback on. The current crest for Canada Soccer is pretty mediocre so I gave it a refresh and, although Umbro have been doing a decent-ish job with their kits, I thought I'd give those a go too. Home: Two-tone red with white accents based on the Canadian flag, with the updated maple leaf "framing" the number on the front of the jersey. Away: Semi-transparent layered graphic in Silver (looks like grey here but I'd like to think it would be more metallic looking in the real world) on a white kit with red accents. Third: Charcoal variant of home kit with red contrast accents. Any feedback you guys have would be much appreciated!
  8. I would love to hear from you on this one. You can see the whole idea here http://goo.gl/gkoHzD
  9. I don't have strong feelings for or against the San Jose Earthquakes, however I'm not a big fan of their current crest: http://www.sportslogos.net/logos/view/33279522014/San_Jose_Earthquakes/2014/Primary_Logo So I took some time to update their look to the following: I tried to balance it out more while retaining similar use of the colors from their current crest. Also, two additions I want to point out are the richter scale readings behind the word "San Jose" and the wreath around soccer ball which comes directly from San Jose's city seal: This is my first redesign and I'm new to graphic design, so constructive criticism is welcome!
  10. Hi, this is my new rebranding made for a basketball team of top Polish league. https://www.behance.net/gallery/19523473/Twarde-Pierniki-Torun-TBL What do you think?
  11. I was looking to update Everton's look. As a fan, I don't find myself liking what they came up with for next season, and obviously I wasn't a fan of what they used this season. What I wanted to do was bring the elements from the old crest that I liked, as well as keep some of the streamlined compact style of crest that the club seems to want to brand themselves with. (Just for reference if your not familiar: OLD - CURRENT - FUTURE) The shade of blue used was used by the team of the 80's that won two championships and a FA cup. The interlocking EFC is homage to the club's first official crest, worn in 1920. C&C is appreciated. I know there are some small errors in the crest, and I'm going to work to get those fixed as well. (mea culpa ) I'm going to try to get some different teams up by the weekend. I'd be glad to do any requests.
  12. I usually post my concepts once they're pretty well developed but I thought I'd try jumping in a bit earlier in the process this time. It started with a doodle. I was on a call the other day and I started doodling a soccer ball. I was zoning out and thinking about the World Cup coming up and how terrible our current crest was. As I was sketching I started turning the pentagonal panels of the ball into another 5-centric shape, a star. Now, I've since done some Google searching and I've learned that I'm clearly not the first person to make this geometric connection. However, that makes it all the more painful to me that the US Soccer logo doesn't utilize it! Today I did some more sketches and came up with a layout that I think works quite well for a crest (excuse the terrible S, I've always struggled with that letter): The star-studded ball defines the bottom shape of the crest (I've always loved crests that use this shape). Then there are red & white stripes which pay homage to the Centennial crest and fixes the dumbfounding blue stripe issue with the current crest. Lastly a bold, block USA at the top rather than the Helvetica Bold Italic they use now. Like I said, still rough but I think it has some potential. I'll update later with some vector comps. Updates: Jump to the rough crest. Jump to the updated crest. Jump to the rough roundel. Jump to the updated roundel. Jump to the change kit. Buy it on a t-shirt! Jump to the home & Captain America kits.
  13. In this case, "SC" is both "Soccer Club" and "South Carolina."
  14. So I've been working on this one for a while, and finally like where its at. I think the design is pretty straight forward, but it took me a while to find a balance between the colors, elements, and shapes. I know it still comes off a bit vertical, but its NYC...THERES ALOT OF TALL STUFF. Thoughts? Go.
  15. So, it's well documented that Ray Hudson, now a color commentator on bein sport, loved the old Fulham crest and HATES the newer one, so I tried to find a happy medium. Taking some old elements while keeping it as simple as possible, which was clearly the original intention, proved to be difficult but I like where it's gone. Hudson on FFC

  17. Over the past few months when I was looking at my plethora of soccer jerseys, I started to notice somethings hidden elements that you couldn't see when the jersey was being worn. The most interesting I thought was writing inside of the crests. For example, Australia has "Never say Never" and PSV Eindhoven has "eendracht maakt macht" or unity is strength. It's not limited to soccer though as there are obvious ones in hockey like the flags inside the Hurricanes sweater and the Keyboard inside the Predators sweater. I was wondering if anyone else found this interesting and if they know or have found out any of these hidden elements.
