  1. Hello! I've recently been creating "team motto designs" for my own enjoyment. This is my second post for this, as my old post was getting a little messy (my fault). I've made some for my favorite teams: I can get the approximate colors for every team in the NHL, NBA, NFL,MLS, EPL and MLB. I will try my best to find the right colors for foreign teams and I will try to use the correct font but that isn't always doable. ( I couldn't find a navy font, so I used the air force font for the navy one) If you would like to request some designs made for you, feel free to comment in this format: Team Name Preferred Motto (If you dont know, I will try to find one) Preferred Logo Preferred Font (I use Any other requirements (Certain colors, throwbacks, etc.) This is definitely not an only-requests post. I would LOVE any constructive criticism in the comments and will take any suggestions into consideration. Please cut me some slack if they're not Hi-def 9000p, I'm just using Microsoft 1997 with Microsoft Paint on an old Windows Vista computer. I don't have the money or the material to make my first-time concepts like a professional graphics designer would. (but I sure wish I could ) I cannot guarantee when your request will be done, because I don't know how many requests I will get. The motto designs that you see above you were invented by me. I have never seen any sports motto designs ever before, so if you have seen something like this on or somewhere else, i didn't copy it. I would like to see it though, so please leave a link below if you have seen motto designs before, it would help me improve. These designs will work for your signatures, and were designed to. If you use your requested designs, I humbly ask of you to cite me in your signature. Just a "Team motto signature designed by Word02" would be great. Thanks! Instructions on adding signature images To add a image to your signature, go to your profile and click the "Edit my profile" button. So now, you should have a tab on a left for "Signature". Use the "polaroid of the tree" button on the editor toolbar to add the image and enjoy (I hope ^^) your new signature. I was inspired by his "All-Sports Championship Banners Signatures by requests" and decided I wanted to do my own designs over the summer. I borrowed his "table of contents" and his "instructions for adding signatures." Thank you so much!
  2. Here are my designs for the Scottish Premiership, this is probably going to be a short thread since there are only 12 teams in the league. Please feel free to leave C&C and feedback.
  3. Not a fan. I don't see why they were so willing to rebuild their built-in browser only to basically mug up the IE logo as it's branding.
  4. So with the release of the new USA home kit, I decided to give a it try. The new home and away kits I like design wise, for the home kit I get why people don't like them, in terms of the lack of blue and red. I have designed three kits. The home kit is a combo of the 2014 home world cup kit and the iconic red hoop look from 2012. there are 13 stripes (7 red and 6 white) just like the flag. I do like the use of red and royal blue, which the team has used in recent years. The away kit is an all blue kit the top is a dark blue with a star gradient that fades to the royal blue at the bottom. The home and away kits are supposed to be like the two parts of the USA flag, Home=stripes, Away= Stars. For the third kit I went with a throwback look with the centennial logo, classic white top with dark blue shorts and socks which both have the dark red accents, this is similar to the throwback they had before the world cup the main difference is the red accent color, and the socks not being white. C&C is welcomed, I actually want C&C because I want to post updates and see if the designs can get better. Here is an updated version. I added a fourth kit. Captain america kit with the dark blue

    St. John's Ice Caps

Here are my concepts for the most recent HockeyJerseyConcepts Contest to design jerseys for the St. John's IceCaps for their new parent team the Montréal Canadiens. I took some inspiration from the current Montréal jerseys and twisted them slightly to make them unique. Here they are. Let me know what you think! It is pretty clear where the first two came from, by changing the angle of the horizontal stripe on the Habs jerseys it gives them a completely different feel and look, and still (in my opinion) looks classy and not out of place on a hockey jersey. The third jersey takes advantage of the grey which is in the IceCaps colour scheme, and the very popular alternate logo and makes a bit of a clash kit. The colour is light, so it would probably have to be used in replacement of the white jersey, not the red one.
  6. For those who don't know, I already posted my designs on the BPL in a past thread. Now, I have a new template, compliments of Raysox, and have gone back and revamped the English teams. All teams with the new template and some of the same designs, but some I decided to tweak. I was also having a huge problem with colors being to bright when I first started posting, I have fixed that now. I really would like to get good solid feedback on this post. I'll post my designs for all 20 teams in alphabetical order.
  7. Hi, I was hired by a uniforms company to design uniforms for professional baseball teams here in Mexico, my first approved work were the Mexican jerseys for the 2015 Caribbean Series played in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Here are the designs I made. Hope you guys like them! Due to the great response I will be updating soon with more projects I have been working on in both the two biggest professional leagues in Mexico. (Liga Mexicana de Béisbol -Summer League- and Liga Mexicana del Pacífico - Winter League-)
  8. All new kit designs. Its the top Spanish league, La Liga. A league that boasts the likes of Ronaldo and Messi. I'll have three kit designs for each team and will be posting in alphabetical order. Feel free to leave C&C, but make sure you can back it up. Love to hear new ideas and opinions.
  9. Hey guys, First time posting a topic here and it's a side project I've been working on the past couple of weeks that I'd like to get some feedback on. The current crest for Canada Soccer is pretty mediocre so I gave it a refresh and, although Umbro have been doing a decent-ish job with their kits, I thought I'd give those a go too. Home: Two-tone red with white accents based on the Canadian flag, with the updated maple leaf "framing" the number on the front of the jersey. Away: Semi-transparent layered graphic in Silver (looks like grey here but I'd like to think it would be more metallic looking in the real world) on a white kit with red accents. Third: Charcoal variant of home kit with red contrast accents. Any feedback you guys have would be much appreciated!

  11. I have been working on my NFL thread but have taken a quick break to make a poster design concept of Russell Westbrook. Would love to see what you guys think about it! and would love some C&C. Thanks!
  12. Hey Guys, This is my first ever topic, it is a simple idea that came to my mind when seeing tbdaniel's basketball jersey templates. This whole idea is revolved around soccer teams (since I'm a huge soccer fan) having basketball jerseys, and how they will look like. For example I will take a certain soccer team, and recreate their jerseys to look like Basketball ones. Be sure to leave feed back, it is all welcome, just make sure to go easy on me since this is actually my first time using programs to create concepts, and so I'm not familiar with such a thing, since I always sketched my jersey designs. Also the jerseys that I will release, will be based off of the teams' colours, jersey providers and such. They will not have sponsors on them, and I will try to make them as relatable as possible. I will also use @tbdaniel15 's basketball template, since it is awesome, and tell me what you think about the jerseys, I'm not a pro since I typically design only soccer jerseys. Thank you for your time. My first jersey is the Liverpool (My favourite team) away, I based it off of this seasons since so many people enjoyed the colours and design, tell me what you think. Hopefully I will also get up the home and third jerseys: EDIT: I will now be posting full sets of teams and linking them here: Liverpool Bayern Munich Orlando City
  13. Here's my initial render for the fictional London Black Knights for the Madden 26 contest. Thoughts and C&C appreciated! Note: I'll be filling in the grey box between the H and the T. I just now saw it.
  14. Hello Everyone, I was wondering if anyone has ever designed a jersey for production before. I work for a baseball team as a designer, and have had many years of digital and print experience, but have never designed a jersey. My team is going through Wilson and due to poor communication on their reps part, I am not sure how to go about designing with very loose outlines. The rep basically told us they need a vector, any size, but have not responded to further questions. I called Wilson directly and they told me to speak with a rep, go figure... I would like to get started working on designs but want to be sure I am not wasting my time with files that won't work. Does anyone have any advice on sizing, settings, templates, etc. ? Thanks for your help! -Derek

  16. I've always been a reader of these boards and this site, but never really posted anything. That being said, I wanted to share a podcast I started called Makers of Sport. it is not just a sports branding podcast, but rather anything involved at the intersection of creativity and sports. This can include designers, art directors, writers, filmmakers, fashion (street, sneaker and uniform) designers, programmers, startup entrepreneurs and more. My most recent interviews include: Matt Hernandez of Matt Hernandez Photography. Matt is a designer and photographer that recently shot the McDonald's All-American game. Joe Bosack of Joe Bosack & Co. Joe joined me to discuss the current state of sports identity and gave a behind-the-scenes of his process and approach to sports branding.Jason Feirman, Mesh Advertising + Marketing: Jason spent 13 years as the director of publications for LSU. He discusses the rebranding of LSU in the early 2000s and an inside view of working at a prominent college athletic program.Upcoming interviews: Todd Radom of Todd Radom Design. If you don't know who he is you probably are hanging at the wrong website.Steve Vollmer, Jr, Creative Designer at the NFL HQ.Jose Lopez, Creative Director of the Houston RocketsHans Anderson, Senior Concept Developer at ESPN Emerging Technology.Would love for y'all to give it a listen and if you like leave a review on iTunes. I'm new to podcasting so hopefully it gets better over time. iTunes: Soundcloud: Twitter:
  17. Hey guys, I'm very sorry but I have this important question. I'm not a pro in design using computer programs, and so while doing a Bayern Jersey for my "Soccer teams having BB jerseys" forum, I stumbled upon an issue dealing with the wordmark, text. I'm trying to curve the text, just like what you would do in word, but the only way I can do it on the GIMP, is to do a path and make the text go around the path, which then doesn't enable me to edit it later on, also it makes it look bad like this: I've searched al over the internet, and your my only hope ...and before hands thankyou PLEASE THIS IS URGENT
  18. Let's be honest; red and blue national flags are boring, because around the globe, they are all too common. I took a look at the symbology and history behind quite a few of these unimaginative nations, and changed a bunch of their flags into something that I think would make them stand out more prominently on the world stage. First up is Slovenia. Cape Verde is next. It never made sense to me that a nation called "the Green Cape" would not use green in their flag. Following that is Samoa.

    Gerald Green Art

Here is a Gerald Green art type piece I have worked on recently. I am posting what I have so far to see if I can get any feedback on stuff to add, fix, or take out? Please leave some constructive criticism! Sorry for a non uniform related post but I don't know where else to ask for feedback on this..
  21. Five years ago my brother, father and I set out to create an "Athletic Uniformory" to streamline the lacrosse uniform design and production process. Throughout the past 5 years, everything has changed... with the exception of our passion to deliver Professional-grade athletic wear that empowers every team to look and act as a team, on and off the field. That said, it is time to say goodbye to our old branding as I feel it doesn't symbolize the state of "Uniformity" that we like to associate ourselves with. Also, I've attached another logo that I've been working on. I'd appreciate hearing the feedback that anyone has! Left - Old Right - New
  22. I was wondering if the Toronto Maple Leafs have kept with the 1997-2000 jerseys, the one with the numbers based on the logo's wordmark font. Anyways, here is what I would suggest: Lemme know your thoughts guys. P.S.: The following concepts aren't mine. The true credit and copyright goes to A_J_H.
  23. I was wondering if the Ottawa Senators have kept with either of the jerseys between fall 1997 and spring 2007. Anyways, here I present the following: Here is version A, based on the 1997-2000 alternate turned 2000-2007 road red jersey: Here is version A, based on the 2000-2007 alternate black jersey: Lemme know your thoughts guys. P.S.: The following concepts aren't mine. The true credit and copyright goes to A_J_H.
  24. OU going all-in on their trophy collection. Only team to win every BCS bowl game + National Title. I like the color pallet on Navy's poster. I also enjoy when I see Fraser Davidson's helmet renders on these things: Florida: Baylor:
