  1. Hey guys, so it's been a few months since I've posted to the boards (the fault of a hard drive being completely deleted). Recently I saw a few threads that peaked my interest in creating uniforms again, specifically mgdmhl's redesigning college football thread. I tried to recover my work from my old thread but everything was deleted. So I didn't have inspiration for awhile. Fast forward a week or two and I'm watching Marquette play basketball in their new uniforms and, being the uniform enthusiast and designer I am, I wondered what they would look like on a football jersey. BOOM inspiration hit and I knew what my next project would be. I completed Marquette and wanted more so I decided to design what football uniforms would look like for colleges who don't have football teams. For some of these teams I heavily took inspiration from their basketball uniforms. I like when a school has a synonymous design throughout multiple athletic teams (think North Carolina or Wisconsin). For others I take inspiration from something in their logo or something that has to do with the school. I had this same philosophy in my old thread. I'll be unveiling teams by conferences. I have the Big East, Horizon, A10 and West Coast Conference done, except for the Adidas and Under Armour teams (I don't have a psd flat template for those brands). Here's a list of all the teams: Marquette Real template Providence Creighton Real template Xavier DePaul Seton Hall St. John's St. Louis VCU Saint Joseph's George Washington v2 George Mason St. Bonaventure Gonzaga St. Mary's UMASS Lowell UC Santa Barbara V2 Long Beach State V2 Wright State UW Milwaukee Northern Kentucky V2 Little Rock Wichita State Portland V2 College of Charleston Real template Chicago State Grand Canyon Black alternate Real template Utah Valley Pacific Boston Oakland CSU Bakersfield V2 UNC-Greensboro Real Template UTRGV UWGB Cleveland State Florida Gulf Coast V2 & Real Template Iona MARQUETTE GOLDEN EAGLES -Stripe design just like their new stripe -Blue Jersey matches blue -White b-ball jersey doesn't have any gold, so I added it -Gold is the same -Light blue b-ball jersey doesn't have any navy, so I added it. -All helmets are glossy -Socks are different colors so no "color rush" could be implemented. Except on the baby blue uniform. I think a "color rush" baby blue uniform would look great. I thought I represented the color differences well along with representing the basketball uniforms. But if not C&C is always appreciated. Also thanks to Logan Weaver for the template and thanks for looking guys and I'll have Providence up next.
  2. Hi. I'm here to fix the NFL's uniforms. Nike has taken over and left us with some bad designs, and theres a few nagging things out there that have just held on, simply because people never bothered to fix them. I'm here to tweak (Maybe overhaul) the NFL's uniforms. Rules I gave myself for this: - One helmet shell, but facemasks and decals can change - Not changing any logos or colors, just uniforms - Color Rush is not mandatory, some teams will have them, some teams won't. - Ignoring the 3 year helmet, 5 year jersey change rule - Not really going in any order, might not even do all 32 - Colors were taken from the logos themselves or from teamcolorcodes.com (yes the colts are still royal blue I just used their digital color) - Yes they were done in Paint so they're not the *cleanest* but I did my best. - Assume mixing and matching is allowed, I won't show *all* combinations but can show one if requested - Moving Nike patch to chest across all teams I'll start off with 2, since my first (Colts) is very simple. Biggest changes are White Mask, number font, and stripe consistency. Next up, the LA Chargers. It's obvious they're getting new uniforms. Went bold on the Whites, Navy is the Color Rush alternate. Kept the Agency-esque font Any comments and criticism is welcomed!

    XFL Revamp

I am back with some inspiration after finishing a marketing project on the new XFL. It got me thinking about what the XFL could look like in a non-templated world, and also led me to trace out a new football template. I started with the LA Wildcats, and immediately dropped the black. I mean they play outdoors in the springtime of Los Angeles and decided to wear black! Insted I moved orange to the primary, similar to the creamsicle bucs, with some modern elements. Most notably, "wildcat scratch marks," on the sleeves, and a dynamic striping pattern that reflects the logo. I plan to work on all 8 teams, and give more options to some teams if I see fit. .
  4. Intro. The year is 2004, and three Southern Ontario record labels hosting 6 local bands have combined to form a soccer league. Mantis Productions in Toronto, Mojo Records in Barrie and Tuesday Morning Records in Ottawa have all joined forces to create the Tuesday Morning Premier League. Concept. I'll be designing logos for each team and jersey (home, away and clash as well as goalkeepers kits for all 6 teams.) Sponsors will be either local or fictional brands tied into each band name, with backstory on each. Map. Teams. All of these teams are based on bands I either previously played in or have friends who played in. I've cleared the names with all band members. Windup Fox and (Norman Ross) Weichel are music projects that still exist. Team Locations. Bad Mojo (Orléans, Ontario) Panic Button FC (East London, Ontario) Slangdoll SC (Toronto) Stereoface SC (North London, Ontario) Weichel FC (Perry Sound, Ontario) Windup Fox FC (Ottawa, Ontario)
  5. Hey there! Were you disappointed in an unexciting Super Bowl culminating in the Evil Empire hoisting yet another Lombardi Trophy? Need a bigger fix of football and the AAF isn't doing the trick? Want to see someone display marginal design skills and creativity through a cavalcade of slightly altered striping patterns, new fonts, and superfluous recolors before inevitably burning out and stopping 2/3 of the way through the league? Then you have come to the right place! In the posts that follow, you will see my staid re-imaginings of the National Football League, starting, as nearly every one of these threads does, with the Arizona Cardinals, because that's how the alphabet works. ARIZONA CARDINALS The one distinctive trait of their uniforms during their time in the Copper State has been the incorporation of the state flag on the sleeves from the late 90s to mid 00s, so that's the main source of inspiration. The team colors are altered to reflect this (bye-bye black) and a red facemask replaces the gray one of yore, removing yet another extraneous color from the Cardinals colorway. The uniforms fit the flag onto the sleeve caps, and the solitary angular stripe on the pants carries from the flag as well. The alternate also draws heavily from the flag. Other than that, the red pants are back (only to be used with the white jersey), and a new number font accompanies these changes. Let me know which team you want to see next. I welcome your feedback.
  6. I did up some player cards for the best starting lineup in my dynasty league. Rather than spamming you all with the 10 individual cards, here they are all together.
  7. It's almost 2019 so I figured I'd make this. We already know about the Jets getting new uniforms and that's super exciting https://www.nbcsports.com/bayarea/ray-ratto/oakland-lawsuit-vs-raiders-nfl-begs-potentially-league-shaking-question The City of Oakland is sueing the Raiders and is trying to get a Cleveland deal for the rights to the Raiders name. If the Raiders name sticks with Oakland, it will probably never be used again given how unlikely an expansion or move to Oakland will be. There's a small chance that December 30th will be the last time the Raiders name ever takes the field
  8. So, after watching the game last night, it occurred to me that the Atlanta Falcons have some untapped potential with their identity, and could actually look really good. Any and all feedback welcome! Here's my fix starting with logo: Falcons Logo Concept by HuntTheJones (Based on the combination of the Throwback Logo & Current Logo) So the first is obvious. Take the old logo that's still so popular among the fanbase (at least the ones I know) and the current logo (which I think is actually pretty good) and combine them for a modernized version to make everyone happy. Up next, turf design: Falcons Turf Concept for Mercedes-Benz Stadium Last night made it clear that the throwback turf design is the look Atlanta needs. That said, there is nothing wrong with the current font style they have. So, sticking with the theme of the logo, find a happy medium. Up next, helmet design: Falcons Helmet Concept Nice and simple, just like the helmet they already have. A gloss black shell with nothing but the new logo on each side gets the job done. Up next, uniform design: Black Home Primary White Road Primary Red Home Alternate This is my favorite part. The basis is that each design is based on the throwback worn last night. Their current design is outdated, and nothing stands the test of time like the classic. So, put the current number font, new logo on the sleeves, and "ATLANTA" in small block on the chest. Keep the same pants design as well, just make the primary the old school silver. Rotate white and all black in the mix so you never get stale. Black jersey becomes primary Home, White jersey goes back to Black numbers, & Red jersey becomes alternate. C&C welcome!
  9. I have been looking at doing concept football helmets for some of the Mid-American Conference (MAC) teams. A lot of family and friends, including myself, went to MAC schools. I have a few concepts done. First up: Bowling Green State University Nickname: Falcons Colors: Orange and Brown Note: There are a lot of bird logos. Tried to do something different. Current and past helmets and logos: Concept:
  10. Hello everyone! I'm back with a project many of y'all are familiar with. My personal football league; the Professional American Football Association. But this time I'm on the computer. I've been working a lot to improve my craft and am happy with the results. Enough so I think you guys will be happy to see the teams y'all helped create be back and better than ever. I originally planned to post this weekend but got a little excited and wanna get some feedback, so I'm posting it now. Thanks to @oldschoolvikings for the use of his template. I'm going to be presenting the teams and their home and away uniforms first. And once I finish each division, then I will upload alternate uniforms and throwback uniforms. I will also be posting a short history with each team I upload along with a signature in case someone would want one. Currently its the offseason for the league. Next season will be it's 100th season. So most teams will receive a throwback. We'll start with the Northeast Division and in the City of Brotherly Love! It should be uploaded soon. Hope you guys enjoy!
  11. I haven't seen a 2018/19 thread, but I have seen 2018/19 kits. So I figured I'd start. Chelsea: PSG: Tottenham clash:

Welcome to the American Football Association! This simulation football league will be kicking off in real-time in February of 2020, but don't hold your breath because info, teams and more will be rolled out shortly.
  13. About a year ago I posted my vision of the new XFL. Since the XFL has announced its initial eight cities, I thought I'd revisit the project and make identities for each city that we now know will house an XFL franchise. For some of the new cities I've re-used some ideas from the previous project and in others I started new. First up, the Washington DC Generals.
  14. Guys, I'm in the process of delivering a complete overhaul of the NFL. Over the next few months I'll upload all 32 teams. I'll start with New York Jets and Cleveland Browns. AFC East Buffalo Bills Miami Dolphins New England Patriots New York Jets AFC West Denver Broncos Kansas City Chiefs Los Angeles Chargers Oakland Raiders AFC North Baltimore Ravens Cincinnati Bengals Cleveland Browns Pittsburgh Steelers AFC South Houston Texans Indianapolis Colts Jacksonville Jaguars Tennessee Titans NFC East Dallas Cowboys New York Giants Philadelphia Eagles Washington Redskins NFC West Arizona Cardinals Los Angeles Rams San Francisco 49ers Seattle Seahawks NFC North Chicago Bears Detroit Lions Green Bay Packers Minnesota Vikings NFC South Atlanta Falcons Carolina Panthers New Orleans Saints Tampa Bay Buccaneers Hope you like.
  15. I'm new to this place and I am not a professional graphic artist. I made these using a concept I'd seen and then opening it in pain so I could edit it and make changes. Basically what I have here is my idea to modernize the Kansas City Chiefs uniform. The Chiefs have a classic look and strong brand due in large part to making very few and only then, very minor changes over the years. If you watch a Chiefs highlight film from 40 years ago...it's not easy to tell that the uniform has changed at all. People in KC are aware and sensitive to this (as is the ownership group) With that in mind...my goal here was to update the look without losing diminishing the brand or the tradition. The Helmet isn't shown becasue nothing changes. What I did change: 1. Removed the sleeve striping. (NFL uniforms don't have sleeves anymore. A LOT of teams need to quit trying to put stripes where the armholes are) 2. Replace the generic block font numbers with official "Chiefs" wordmark font instead. 3. In place of sleeve stripes, have placed a two town arrow on the side of the shoulder. 4. Pants striping is now a two tone stripe on the pants that also matches the two tone arrow on the jersey. 5. Added a small two color "KC" center of chest. Made YELLOW alt jersey and pants. There is INTENTIONALLY no black incorporated into these. I am not a fan of black for blacks sake in uniforms and this set is about RED and YELLOW. I believe getting rid of the sleeve stripes and updating the font bring this look up to date without compromising the clean classic look. Let me know what you think. Thanks!
  16. Considering the NFL had it's first major throwback uniform season in 1994 to celebrate the league's 75th season, I've been wondering for years how the NFL's 100th season in 2019 would look as far as uniforms are concerned. Since it is now only three years away I thought I would make a post about it so we can see who was right when 2019 does finally get here. If the 75th season can give us any ideas, they would be that every team will wear a 100th season jersey patch (every team wore a diamond-shaped 75th Season jersey patch in 1994, even on the throwback uniforms) but I think that's where the similarities between the two seasons will end. I do think special uniforms will be worn in 2019, but I don't think they will be throwbacks. The throwback trend seems to be dead for multiple reasons (played out / losing popularity, pretty much run out of interesting old uniforms to bring back, players must wear the same helmet throughout the season now so that eliminates a lot of options, etc.) so I'm guessing in 2019 to celebrate the 100th Season of the league they will do a throw forward year, with every single team having Color Rush (or some other gimmick) games or having Nike design "Pro Combat" style one-off uniforms designed to be worn with each team's normal helmet. If you don't count Super Bowl XXIX, when the league let the 49ers wear their 1994 throwbacks longer than teams were initially allowed and throwout the playoffs and Super Bowl, I believe Super Bowl LIV, played at the end of the 2019 season, could be the first year we see alternate jerseys or special one-off "Pro Combat" uniforms in the Super Bowl, if it doesn't happen this year for Super Bowl 50 (could be a nice game day or game time surprise for the 50th celebration.) In addition to "throw forward" and "Pro Combat" uniforms I'm sure the NFL will make an exception and let the two teams that played in the very first season of the NFL and are still around have a throwback year like they did for the original AFL teams in 2009 for the 50th Anniversary of the AFL. That means the Bears would throwback as the Decatur Staleys and the Cardinals would throwback as the Chicago Cardinals (that would be an interesting game: Chicago vs Chicago! With 1920 throwbacks!!!) So what do you guys think? What do you think is going to happen three years from now during the 100th Season of the NFL as far as team uniforms and logos are concerned?
  17. I'm the commissioner of the OklahomIraqis League (The OIL), which is a fantasy football league that began in 2006 in Iraq. I recently started toying around in Photoshop and created stadiums for all 42 teams: okiraqi.org/stadiums Since I'm still pretty new to Photoshop (and graphic design in general), I'd appreciate it if you point out ways I could make things look more realistic. One thing I haven't been able to get right is keeping the grass or turf texture when applying graphics to the field and end zones. Otherwise, I'm just happy to show off the stadiums while we get through the long, awful offseason. Below is the one for DominationStation (which, yes, is a dumb name, but it's not my team). The rest are at the above link.
  18. I am starting this thread after a long break from the forum. I am setting out to fix rather than completely revamp each teams' look. Not only will I mock-up uniforms, but also merchandise and a field. In addition I have placed 2 restrictions on my concepts. 1.) Teams can have up to 2 different helmets. 2.) Teams can have up to 4 different jerseys (including throwbacks). Teams: Arizona Cardinals (Updated) Atlanta Falcons (Updated) Baltimore Ravens Buffalo Bills Carolina Panthers Chicago Bears Dallas Cowboys Denver Broncos I will start in alphabetical order with the Arizona Cardinals. Their current uniform is a mess of piping and looks incredibly dated. My idea was to restore a classic feel to a historic franchise, while adding a modern twist. I left the helmet untouched, because in my opinion it is key part of their identity. I sublimated the Arizona flag into the uniforms to establish a unique and regionalized look for the team. The black alternate takes this to an extreme but stays in line the the home and away. I also included a faux-back look that incorporates elements of past uniforms while still fitting in with their current identity. C&C is appreciated, next up will be the Atlanta Falcons.
  19. I think the Eagles have a great logo and I'm a big fan of their midnight green color, but I think they just have too much going on with black, charcoal gray and silver accompanying the green. In my opinion, the Eagles look best when they are wearing only green, silver and white, so this concept is more of a clean-up than a full on rebrand. I was also inspired by what the Detroit Lions did with their logo an uniforms this past season. Those are not perfect, but I really like the idea of what the Lions did. Here's my take on the logo: nothing too exciting, the green is a touch more green and the black is gone. The new wordmark is my take on a simpler, less "XTREME" version of the current wordmark and is more in line with the contemporary branding in the NFL: bold, single color lettering with some serifs and a bridge shape to give it some character. Here are the new home and road uniforms. Less is more as the uniforms are reminiscent of the current duds but are without the needless clutter of superfluous colors and embellishment. The Color Rush uniform is gray in the same style of the primary uniforms and the regular alternate uniform is a midnight green version of the classic throwback uniforms thanks to the one-helmet rule. So, thats it. Thanks for taking a look and I'm definitely open to any and all C&C and feedback.
  20. I am actually a civil engineer, but I've had an interest in graphic design since high school. When I was in college I was able to take a graphic design class where we had to create a fictitious company based on an essay we wrote. My essay was about the impacts of concussions on football players and other athletes, so my fictitious company manufactured football helmets. I chose the name "Rampage" based on the headbutts of big horn sheep. I produced the identity below (shown on some sample business cards), in addition to numerous other alternatives. After I showed off to @dsaline97, who is an actual designer, he said it would be a cool logo for the LA Rams. So I've come up with a few instances of how my concept could replace the existing helmet logos the Rams have. It wouldn't work on uniform elements, but I think it could look cool on apparel or print/digital graphics. It could also make for a nice Colorado State shirt. I like how the angle of this logo emphasizes forward motion, which was also important for my fictional company, and also hearkens back to the old Rams logos used from 1946-1982. Anyway, I hope you enjoy. Criticism is welcome, but I won't be making any changes. Oh yeah, and I also got a t-shirt made on Cotton Bureau!
  21. Hey, everybody! This is the first time I've posted in a long while. But there's something I'm working on that I thought all of you would like. I basically took one of the original Megaman sprites (25x25 px) and adjusted certain things to look more like a football uniform. Not a whole lot of work really, but this was a lot of fun. And the best part is, I now have a vector template! Now, if i've done my job right, you shouldn't need captions for these. I hope you'll be able to tell which team each of these are. Feel free to chime in with any feedback or critique!
  22. Hey guys! So, being both a Bengals fan and a fan of uniform design/concepts, I stumbled across this website recently and started to really dabble on my own. While I’m definitely not a wizard by any means, I tried to come up with some cool Uniforms that are kind of a blend of the 80’s, the current color rush, and a couple of new tweaks of my own, such as making orange primary pants and matching the socks to the jersey. I have a Home, Away, Alternate “color rush”, Home/Away Throwbacks. I have also added some alternate pants options for the Home, Away, and Alternate. Sorry for the difficulties, But please follow the link below and let let me know what you think. https://m.imgur.com/a/Gyqz3LF
  23. Hey all! I've been wanting to do a series regarding the NFL that was a no-rules free for all where team history doesn't matter, and everything is brand new. So instead I decided on the current series, based upon the idea above, but with a few rules. THE RULES 1. The uniform must be brand new. The design may never have been worn previously by the franchise. 2. A team's uniform must be "drastically different." i.e. Obviously different to the average person on this site. 3. Elements may be taken from current or former uniforms, and may be mixed and matched, so long as a new uniform is created. 4. Logos may remain the same. This is mostly a uniform project. With that being said, get ready to see some of your favorite untouchable uniforms get touched a lot! First up, the New York Jets! Since the Jets are receiving a new design next year, it felt fitting to begin with them. For the Jets, I decided to follow the path well travelled, and create a double green look, to symbolize the two general eras of Jets football. The main feature of the uniform is the shoulder yoke/ucla stripe combination upon the shoulders. This combination pays homage to the current and Namath era looks while being unique in its own right. The away uniform features a double colored yoke, with the sleeves a dark green, and the shoulder area the kelly green color. The decision here was mostly for color balance, and because I simply liked the look better than a simple mirror of the home uniform. The helmet features an updates "JETS" plane logo featuring the new custom wordmark. In my mind when I think of jets, I think of the Nighthawk Stealth Bomber. Therefore, I wanted to take the angular look of those jets, and incorporate them into the lettering as well as the speeding jet in the helmet logo. Finally, the helmet, pants and socks all feature a Dark-White-Kelly-White-Dark color scheme.
  24. I don't know if it's too early to start this thread but I'm going to kick it off anyways. There are rumors that PJ Fleck is going to completely overhaul Minnesota's uniforms next year. Georgia Tech will be with adidas next year.
