  1. As many of you already know, I still play NCAA Football 14 and can't wait for another game to come out. Not that it's likely with EA at this point, but a man can dream. That being said, one of the major issues I've always had with the NCAA franchise, is that beyond FBS, they don't really care about FCS and lower. Up until the release on the PS3 and XBOX 360, the game did use to include FCS teams, but dropped them completely when they did move to the new hardware. They eventually made Teambuilder as a was of making up for the lack of FCS teams, but it really didn't. Point is that FCS, D2, D3, NAIA, and whoever else didn't get any love and representation in the games. Hypothetically speaking, should EA or another developer come out with a NCAA football video game, would it be feasible for them to include FCS, etc all teams in the game? See what I'm thinking is that with the current generation hardware and beyond (PS5?) it should be possible to create the 600+ college football teams for play in the game. Wether this is on the disk or DLC, I think I can and should be done. I'm curious what everyone else things, particularly those of you who know more about video gaming that I do. Is it indeed possible to do it and if so, would you want it? I think a game where you can play as any college team with properly recreated uniforms, stadiums and such would be great. But does anyone else find value in playing as a D3 school in a video game?

    Fixing the CFL

When Adidas took over the CFL uniforms in 2016, they hit home runs with a few, most notably the Toronto Argonauts and Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Unfortunately there were a few real duds like Montreal and Calgary. One thing I really dislike is that so many teams use the same template with the arm striping (BC, Calgary, Sask, Ottawa) and side panels (Calgary, Sask, Ottawa). When will this idiotic trend go away! My first submission is Montreal. Right now they possibly have the worst uniform design of all time, especially combined with a really bad cartoon logo. My fix here is pretty simple: new logo with clean design based on their glory days in the 70's. To me this seems like a real easy fix.
  3. Hello everyone its been quite a while since I've posted anything on here because of school and other things but as of recent I've had the itch to get back into taking the time to create these concepts. Now the real reason why I'm posting this is that I have some other concept ideas but I wanted to see how my Adidas template looks. Georgia Tech finally moves on from Russell and moves to Adidas (some people may say this a downgrade, but I personally like Adidas) and this is my rendition of what Georgia Tech should look like in my eyes. Home Away Alternate I'll be posting later on tonight my Washington/Adidas concept but in the meantime any thoughts on the concept? For some reason, my images don't look great and are not expandable so I posted links to get a better image. And before anyone asks I will possibly make this template available to download but not as of right now
  4. Some time ago I stumbled on the World Football League logos here on CCSL and I decided to give them a new spring by regenerating the league and by expanding it. The league will still be named World Football League and here you have my new logo, wordmark, monochromo logo and jersey patch. In addition to the original 12 teams from the USA I added 4 from Canada, 8 from Central and South America, 5 from Africa, 8 from Europe, 7 from Asia and 2 from Oceania. Without more reserves I'm going to present you the league conferences. Original Conference Birmingham Americans Charlotte Hornets Chicago Fire Detroit Wheels Florida Blazers (Miami) Honolulu Hawaiians Houston Texans Jacksonville Sharks Memphis Southmen Philadelphia Bell Portland Storm Southern California Sun (Los Angeles) + Vancouver Lumberjacks Toronto Reds Calgary Express Ottawa Canadians From this conference the top 4 teams will play for the Championship Finals I tried to stick with the real identities of the 70s with names and colors although some of them are now used by other major sports teams. Euroconference Stockholm Vikings Rome Gladiators Munich Mountaineers Rois de Paris London White Knights Barcelona Dracs Athens Argonauts Moskow Saints Just one of these teams will fly to the Championship Finals. Liberty Conference (Conferencia de los Libertadores) Rio Cariocas Aztecas de México (Aztecs) Buenos Aires Gauchos (Cowboys) Montevideo Libertadores (freedom bearers) Valparaiso Almirantes (Admirals) Panama Tugboats Caracas Pertoleros (Oilers) Bogotà Generales (Generals) The conference is not named after the continet but after a piece of history which is shared by all of these countries. The team names are mostrly in the native language for merchandise questions. Just one of these teams will fly to the Championship Finals. Afroarab Conference Cairo Pharaos Cape Town Penguins Lagos Eagles Dakar Lions Casablanca Touaregs Riyadh Stallions Riyadh was added to this group as in my opinion it makes more sense than to add it to far east teams as also Egypt and Morocco share an arab based culture with the Saudi city. Just one of these teams will fly to the Championship Finals. Indopacific Conference Sydney Wallabies Auckland Helmsmen Tokyo Kitsune Manila Tropical Shangai Red Stars Singapore jets Seoul Tigers Mumbai Elephants Just one of these teams will fly to the Championship Finals. I must add that I chose the conference color thinking of the 5 olympic rings. The red of Northen America was changed with the brown of a football ball to represent the original set of teams. To sum up, in the Championship Finals there will be 4 teams from the Original Conference ad one from every other conference for a total of 8 teams fighting for the Championship Trophy. Here you have some maps to make the team settings clearer. My work will be divided in two parts, the first where I'm going to redesign the late WFL teams and a second one where I'll be creating brand new identities for the new teams.
  5. Well its been promised for years and I finally finished the league last night! I will post two teams today then the rest next week. The concept behind this for those that have not followed my fictional league MLF, is that the MLF decided they needed a developmental league but did not want to brand it as such. They came up with MLF Spring League as a branding. There are eight teams one for every 4 teams in the MLF. The design of the league would be to name a managing partner that each club could agree on with equal investments coming from each team. The results have been pretty good so far. Here is the league logo.
  6. Our long national nightmare is over. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2769835-thursday-night-football-color-rush-alternate-uniforms-reportedly-going-away Say goodbye to Color Rush uniforms on Thursday nights this coming fall. Bill Wanger of Fox Sports said Tuesday the NFL plans to scrap the alternate uniforms it used during Thursday Night Football telecasts beginning with the 2018 season, per Jason Barrett of Barrett Sports Media. However, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reported the Color Rush uniforms won't be going away completely. They just "might not be exclusive to Thursday nights anymore," sources told him. This shouldn't come as a huge surprise to anyone. In December, the NFL said it was allowing teams to have "more flexibility" with their Thursday night uniforms, per Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, which effectively ended the Color Rush push. The polarizing Color Rush uniforms began rolling out in 2015. Some fans delighted in the alternate offerings, while others were put off by the bright colors. In one notable mishap, a Color Rush game between the New York Jets and Buffalo Bills proved to be a mess for those with red-green colorblindness. That should no longer be an issue now that Fox is taking over Thursday games.
  7. With the new Miami Dolphins set a mere week away the time is running out to get concepts of what they could do in before it becomes what they should've done. I personally am a fan of the Dolphins current logo and unis, it's undeniable the fanbase longs for a return to the former set. I made the colors a blend of the 1974, 1996 and current logo to keep the colors lighter. The original plan was to keep the lineless look of the current logo and apply the '96 shape but the logo needs an outline to push the motion and tie down the teal. The script retains a retro/deco flow that I think is vital for any Miami team look. The shell returns to pure white with a teal facemask. The uniforms keep similar pant striping to the current set but I pull striping from the popular throwbacks. For the alt uniforms I use the dark blue rather than the orange as a matter of preference through I may draft up an orange version later since it is definitely more "Miami". Insert NikeSpeak about new era, and fusion of past legacy and future success.

    CFL Color Rush

I know most people hate the color rush unis but I was inspired by JimmyN64's great designs so thought I'd see how CFL might look. I didn't include the stupid one helmet rule. Will add more when I have time and probably do some throwbacks as well. Here are the first few. Cheers!
  9. This off season I am going to focus my design hobby on getting better at jersey swaps and while they aren't necessarily designs, I feel this is still a solid place to post. First Up: Tyrann Mathieu to the Texans - Typically I struggle with the facemask/Helmet area but really took time on this one and feel like I nailed it down into the realm of reality. Feedback is welcomed and wanted!
  10. Based on the leaks so far, I strongly dislike what I've seen from the Titans. It feels like too much of a shift and doesn't read as the Titans to me. The gray is pointless clutter and makes the set much more drab. The number font is hideous and overly designed. The underarm panels look like something out of 2002. Overall, the color balance is all over the place and there's generally no cohesion at all. I always thought the Titans needed incremental tweaks, not a complete overhaul. The flaming thumbtack is outdated but I really like the circle with the stars from the state flag. The pants are fantastic, however the modern helmet stripes clash with the traditional pants. I like the shoulder stripes and the sword shaped stripes on the new set are a cool evolution of that feature, it's just a shame that they're now gray. My set looks to streamline things a bit (consistent stripes, consistent number colors on the various jersey panels, updated word mark, logo, etc). I like the idea of a red Color Rush set. Navy pants are needless clutter given how fantastic their normal white and columbia blue pants are. I think I do prefer the Titans in white helmets, however, it makes too much sense to use columbia blue to distinguish themselves from all the other white helmet teams, and it still looks great. Of all the helmet choices, the rumored navy is the worst option. I emphasized navy and columbia blue with red used as small touches (swooshes, nameplates, helmet stars, part of the word mark, etc).

  12. High School Football season is underway lets see what uniforms your local teams are wearing.
  13. New to the forum, but I've been a lurker for a while now. Being that I am a Titans fan and that there has been quite a bit of talk about them and their new uniforms lately I figured I would give things a shot. This is not how I envision them to do things at all, but more like how I would do it i it were up to me. I did take a few design cues away from some of the sneak peaks though. Going off of there "Tradition Evolved" campaign motto, I did just that by merging a similar styling and color scheme with some modern updates. Let me know what you think. AWAY HOME COLOR RUSH
  14. Lighter. Sleeker. Other Nike-speak. The Nike Vapor Untouchable Football Template is now available as a PSD. ----- Examples: ----- If you'd like your own, either comment with your email address or PM it to me and I will be sending them out as soon as tomorrow.
  15. It seems like every year as details trickle out that teams are getting new uniforms, some random 'source' pops up claiming to have seen the uniform in question and provides an over the top description that sends this board into a frenzy. Maybe it's not a good idea to enable these rumors with mock ups but I thought it would be fun to take these crazy ideas and make concepts out of them. Cleveland Browns The rumor: White helmets, 'total overhaul' Added numbers to the helmet, reversed the number/shadow colors on the home and away. Took the notched stripe design from their current look and kept it floating within the sleeve a la OK State/extended it further down the pant leg so that it's almost a full stripe again. White striped socks for all, orange alt, and white fauxback for the Color Rush. Denver Broncos The rumor: the Color Rush jersey becomes the primary Kept the logo and number font from the current look, brightened the colors back to their earlier shades, added white and blue jerseys/pants. Orange remains the Color Rush. Here's every Broncos concept on this board ever Denver: Thanks for checking these out, I have a few more that I'll be posting in a bit.
  16. Below is the outline of a concept I've been working on for an alternate timeline story I've been writing. The timeline mostly deals with an expanded exploration program for NASA in the last half of the 20th century. One of the things that I've been using to color the timeline is alternative team names and locations within American sports. On this front, instead of the failed XFL franchise, in my timeline, the XFL instead rides a wave of post-9/11 patriotism to create a football league with a military theme. Called Warball, the sport openly embraces the quasi-military themes of football (see George Carlin for further insights) and seeks to appeal to a hyper-masculine fanbase. Initially the league forms with 8 teams in 2 conferences Freedom Division Patriot Division Capital Warriors Seattle Stealth New York Heroes Alcatraz Guards Texas Assault Coronado Destroyers Chicago Shield Arizona Generals Teams are composed of 7 players on the field at any time. The field is 60 yards endzone-to-endzone. Endzones are 7.5 yards deep with curved corners. Field is bounded by 20 degree inclines 5 yards wide which are inbounds. Beyond the inclines are hockey rink walls. A ballcarrier cannot run out of bounds and must be tackled or score for the play to end. Any player on the field is considered an eligible receiver. Kicking of any kind has been eliminated. Teams have 6 downs to advance from their own 10 yard line to the opposing endzone. Touchdowns are worth 5 points. After a touchdown, a team is allowed to try a conversion play from the 3-yard line. A conversion by pass is worth 2 points. A conversion by run is worth 1 point. Two 20 minute halves are separated by a 10-minute halftime. Teams have 20 seconds to begin the next play. The clock does not run unless the ball is in play. Teams are required to have at least one starting player who is a current or former member of the United States military, and/or a civilian police, fire or paramedic service. Questions, comments, suggestions? I invite all of the above. This is my first league concepts, so, please, rip me apart here. I'll learn from everything that is said.
  17. Hello, I am looking for some inspiration for developing a Helmet Decal for a local school. The team is called the railroaders and the only colors they use are blue and white. The Coach really wants the word railroaders to be incorporated somewhere in the design, I am not a huge fan of big script letters on helmets so I went with a think smaller block font. He also wants to ensure that people understand that railroaders are the people that worked on building the railroads not people who worked on trains, so I am debating doing some sort of mascot depicting a railroad worker. I guess I am looking for help in which way I should take this logo. It is not apart of a rebrand just simply redesigning the helmet logo because a new coach was hired. What they had in previous seasons is below. This is just a rough mock of what I think may look good any advice or direction would be greatly appreciated!
  18. I might have discussed this before, but years ago I was really intrigued by the Asia Pacific Football League. It was a proposed professional American football league that would have teams in China, South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, Hong Kong, the Philippines, and Hawaii. The league had the backing of investors in Hong Kong and former Dallas Cowboys player Preston Person as a "consultant". The league was to launch in 1999, the pushed back to 2000. After that.... well nothing. All there is are a few logos and a dead website that can be found on Wayback Machine. I've tried to find news articles from that time, but no luck, even though I do remember at least one article. Regardless, enjoy the logos that I found from their website. And if your curious the teams were: Sharks, Dragons, Express, Pandas, Stallions, Dolphins, Warriors, Typhoon, Fighting Cocks, and Elephants. 19. Atlanta United is rumored to be doing away with their inaugural away kits, which is a good thing in my view as they were pretty boring. I love their red and black striped kit, and wanted to keep the "5 Stripes" in my concept kit as well. It's an all black idea, so I thought it may work better as a 3rd kit rather than their main away kit. I may attempt an away kit as well on this thread in the future.
  20. I was looking through the NFL logos on the mother ship and this one stood out to me as one to try to rework. The shape has always seemed off to me and I realized that it is because this head was lifted off of the full (human) bodied Chicago/St. Louis Cardinals logos so it doesn't give much of a full bodied bird feel. The head seems to taper down into a human-like neck area. So here is my take: No highlight vs highlight? I'm still undecided as to whether it would "fly" as an NFL logo or if it's just a nice cardinal logo. C&C appreciated.
  21. Hello all! I had some ideas brewing in my head and decided to get them out. Here's my ideas for World Cup kits for Japan and Korea. Japan - The primary kit is a more purplish blue with silver and pinkish red accents*, and the front number is encased on a subliminated sun. The secondary kit is a white-to-black gradient with the number inside the red sun from the flag. I went with just the crest on both kits instead of the usual flag-and-crest combo the team normally uses, because I thought it looked a little less cluttered. Korea - I wanted to keep the "Red Devils" primarily red, but draw some inspiration from the flag also, hence the yin-yang inspired design. The secondary kit draws inspiration from the flag also in the way the colors are used; accented with blue and red with a curvy mini-sash, I made the numbers black to use all the colors of the flag. The third kit is a black set with red and blue accents that I felt made for a good alternative for Korea. Let me know what you think! *EDIT: The pinkish Red looks more reddish on mobile than on desktop for some reason
  22. I haven't used this thread in over two years, and use another instead. Can a mod please close this for further comments? Thanks
  23. The Tennessee Titans' logo and uniforms and I have had a bit of an on-again-off-again relationship over the years. When I first remember seeing them in the Super Bowl against the Rams in 2000, I was in love with the logo, cuz, you know, FLAMES!!!!!!!! I was five then. As I got older, I soured on the logo, thinking the flames were over the top and the Titans would be better off using the sword alternate logo or the thumbtack roundel. The Titans' refusal to wear reasonable uniforms combos also drives me nuts. The helmet striping doesn't really go with anything and the brashier stripes on the pants don't feel right with the yoke, which has gotten too small over the years. The Uniforms have some good ideas, but I'm not crazy about the execution. Lately, the uniforms are still a mess, but I have come around on the idea of flames for the Titans. I think that is something they can own and it really just works. I do not care for the T logo. Besides the comparison to a thumbtack as far as it's shape goes, it feels small contained within the shield or roundel or whatever the circle is. The Titans logo should be big, "titanic" and the T should be the focal point, IMO. I threw out the bathwater, but kept the baby. The colors remain the same, but the Flaming T is bigger and bolder. I don't think this is a finished product but I'm also not entirely sure what parts of the logo needs more work so, please feel free to offer and C&C. I would really appreciate it. Once the logo gets to a good place, I'll work on some new uniforms to go with the updated logo. Thanks for having a look.
  24. Okay. State your straight-up (without point spread) predicted winner of Super Bowl LII. Feel free to add whatever other game-related predictions you'd like. I don't have a dog in the fight, but I think the Patriots are going to win.
  25. Was wondering what you guys thought which jerseys certain teams will wear. Packers in yellow? Bears in orange? Raiders in Mono- Black? would love to hear what you guys speculate
