  1. It's Week 17 of the 2020-21 season, so it's about time to start up this thread. All that we know is coming in 2021 is the new Packers throwback (was gonna release 2020 but got delayed) and the new Rams alternate (unknown if a recolor or throwback as of now.) The Nike Vapor Fusion template, which was tested out in 2020, is set to debut full-time for the NFL in either 2021 or 2022. Anything else that I missed?
  2. With my 72 Project winding down, I thought to myself, "Maybe a break would be nice, get through the semester, and then start a new series." Well then the Reverse Retros were officially released. And then I said screw the break, let's jump into my next project, because honestly, I have no self control. Since the NBA style of doing jerseys is all the rage right now in the concept world, that was the genesis for this idea. 4 jerseys for every team, though there will be no "Association, Icon" style names. Home, Away, Alternate and a Legacy slot were the original four jerseys. Then it became 5 with the advent of the Reverse Retro jerseys. I'll be doing teams in order of how they finished the regular season, starting with the dregs of the league (Detroit *sheds tears*) and ending with Boston. Seattle will be featured, likely after Boston. Home - Away: If you were expecting sweeping changes for the home and away jerseys, then you're in the wrong thread. I tried that in the last NHL thread of mine, simply trying to match the home and away jerseys. So the away jersey is unchanged. The home jersey does change ever so slightly. The hem stripe, formerly running into the hem, moves up to match the away jersey as a stripe. Other than that, the pants, socks and helmets are all the same. Alternate - I always felt an affinity to the Stadium Series uniforms and felt that with some tweaks, they could be a good alternate that doesn't hurt the Red Wings brand. So I decreased the slant on the chest stripe from the original, and allowed it to continue on the back of the jersey. The sleeves now have stripes and don't run off the ends of the sleeves anymore. Winged Wheel moves to the shoulders. Modern D logo on the chest. Slightly larger stripes on the socks. No changes to the pants. Gloves change up the colors a little. Legacy - Revisited the '27/'28 and 75th anniversary jerseys. Kept it largely the same. Bevy of stripes on the chest, DETROIT in the middle of the big one. Stripes on the sleeves to almost match the chest. Socks match the chest stripes. Pants change the Winged Wheel logo to the Old English D. Helmet also uses the Old English D. Reverse Retro - Literally anything would have been better than what the Wings actually went with. White and Grey? I get it, how do you RR a team that has had 4 total uniform styles in their history? Maybe dig just a little deeper? I went with the '28/'29 Cougars uniforms, and Reversed Retro'd them! Red base, white elements. Rolled with the 2014 WC script and the shorter wing. Used the pants from the Legacy jerseys. Also the red helmet now has the Old English D instead of the wordmark C&C is welcome!
  3. Under Armour just told UCLA they want to end their deal. How would the bruins look in Nike digs? Nothing ground breaking here... New Colors inline with the rest of UCLA's teams New Helmet striping Updated gold helmet that takes on the new color and satin finish The current helmets are a disgusting shade Truncated Nike style UCLA Stripe Maybe not a popular opinion, but I think the bold truncated stripes look much better than what they wear today
  4. National League North: CHC | CIN | MIL | STL Pacific: COL | LAD | SD | SF Atlantic: MON | NYM | PHI | PIT South: ATL | CHA | MIA | WSH American League North: CWS | CLE | DET | MIN Pacific: ANA | OAK | POR | SEA Atlantic: BAL | BOS | NYY | TOR South: ARI | HOU | KC | TEX Two teams switch leagues (Arizona to AL; Tampa Bay to NL), two expansion teams are added (Portland in the AL; Charlotte in the NL), one team relocates (Tampa Bay subsequently relocates to Montreal as agreement to switch leagues) and MLB goes to a 4-team, 4-division format for each league... Just a preview of what lies ahead with this series:
  5. Hello everyone! Due to this quarantine, I have decided to start back up a Baseball Concept Uniform Tread! Each team will have at least one home alternate and road alternate uniform, and one spring training uniform. C&C is always appreciated, so please give your feedback! I will start with the American League then move to the National League. I hope you enjoy! BALTIMORE ORIOLES: The Orioles have some of the nicest uniforms in the league, in my opinion. The black and orange work really well together. I wanted to make the Orioles a primary orange team(which is what they should always be), so I added a orange hat to the road uniform, road alternate uniform 1, and the Spring Training uniform. I added another black uniform using the "O's" logo, maybe a jersey they wear on special occasions on the road. HOME: ROAD: HOME ALT: ROAD ALT 1: ROAD ALT 2: SPRING TRAINING:
  6. Hello everyone! I'm going to be sharing my NBA concepts: I started these two years ago, then in this time I redid everything like two or three times before having the almost final version. I’ll post with home/road/third/alternate jerseys for each team and then maybe I'll post some outtakes or other proposal. Before I get into it, major thanks to all the other designers on these boards who keep putting out inspiring stuff. All comments and criticisms are greatly appreciated! 1)Milwaukee Bucks 2)Indiana Pacers 3)Utah Jazz
  7. I rebranded the Colorado Rockies due to their current boring, branding. - Updated the color scheme to more vibrant purple. - New primary logo with mountain and Colorado "c." - Used the Denver Nuggets miner logo to create a secondary mascot logo for the Rockies. I slightly edited it and updated its aesthetic. - New wordmark using a script font. - All new jerseys.
  8. I decided to do a Nike MLB Uniform Refresh, some teams will get total rebrands, some will have altered colors, some will have new alternates, or get new throwbacks. Visit my Behance to see my other sports designs: https://www.behance.net/ianrasovsky For the diamondbacks, I updated the home and away uniforms by replacing the sand accents with teal, solidifying teal as their new tertiary color. I also added their purple alternate from 1998 on the new Nike MLB teamplate. I also created a new home cap, that replaced the sand in the diamonbacks's "A" logo.
  9. For the 2020 MLB season, I decided to create some Nike MLB jersey concepts for Players' Weekend using the new Nike Baseball Jersey template. I wanted to create something unique with these jerseys. I used a lot of alternate colors and alternate logos on the jerseys, and made fauxbacks for some teams as well. If you are wondering why the Mets are black and pink, it is because when they were formed they were supposed to be black and pink. I'm not entirely happy with the Rockies, Rays, and Astros. For the Rockies I didn't really have any ideas for, while the Astros and Rays jerseys didn't come out as well as I thought they would. Thanks for viewing.
  10. I joined just a few months ago after years of lurking here, so I thought I might as well get started on sharing my own concepts with the community. I am trying to make a Nike set for NBA teams (consisting of association, icon, statement, and either one or the other of a city or a classic). I started with my favorite, also slightly updated their primary and alternate logo. Philadelphia 76ers - White (Association); Red (Icon); Blue (Statement); White (Classic - 2001 Home Uniform)
  11. Now that the Padres and Brewers have unveiled new identity packages which have, for the most part, been very well received by most of us on these forums, which Major League Baseball team do you feel is now most due for an identity refresh? Personally, I would look out West to the AL. I feel the Mariners, Angels and Rangers identities are all beginning to look a bit stale and could use a freshening up. Frankly I'm a bit surprised the Rangers did not announce a uniform update this winter to coincide with their moving to Globe Life Field in 2020. This thread is meant to discuss which MLB teams you feel are most in need of an update, and to offer suggestions as to how you would go about changing their current look.
  12. Like most fans, I was really disappointed with the unveiling of the new orange Suns jersey. It just seemed like very little thought or effort went into the design, the orange looks off-color and the organization continues to be deaf to what the fans want. So, inspired by all the ruckus, I started pumping out designs I thought would be better. Here's a look: I started with what would be my take on the jersey they released. Not a design I would have done unless forced. I enlarged the burst and added a purple outline, then off-centered the numbers a bit. The trim is classic and gives it a pop that the real version lacks. Next I did what I think they should have done if truly trying to give a nod to the 7SOL era. My first completely original design came next. I actually don't love the circle in the center, but the concept itself feels strong and could be improved if I wanted to spend the time, but I came up with better. My next design is my favorite, so I did it in all colors to see what they'd look like. A nod to the 90s era without being too much like it. Something that would stand out in today's NBA and could be used for a long time without looking too dated. Next I did my update of the classic 90s burst jerseys, removing the ball and just retaining the burst trail lines. I gave it a more extreme angle to indicate more of a rise (the sun rises, a phoenix rises, etc.). The number is placed within the burst trail, rather than below. The font for the wordmark and number are the same, which was not the case with the 90s jerseys. Also, the font is an updated look, not the exact font from the original jerseys. I did many colorways for this design. I also did these mock-ups of a design from @KUNG_FU_KELLY_ on Twitter. I think these are awesome. He did a mock-up using MS Paint and I helped him bring it to life. I've always thought all the local teams should have one game each season where they wear the colors of another local team, so I thought I'd play with the concept. Would be cool to see this happen in lots of cities. Also took a stab at the old western style. Played with size, position and spacing of wordmark and numbers on these. Finally, here's some other ideas I played around with. The Haboob Edition: An orange version of the original (don't mind the quality of the graphic - I couldn't find a HQ version online and got tired of searching): Some City Edition ideas using the AZ state flag design: Using the concept of the sun as a cosmic entity, rather than the Arizona heat and/or sunset correlation: Would love to get feedback on these. I'm truly inspired by and fueled by fans who are loving these designs on Twitter/Instagram/Reddit. Many are tagging the Suns and Nike and telling them to hire me, LOL. I'm also working on designs for other teams and will do some NFL and MLB concepts, as well. Thanks for giving me a place to share and get feedback!
  13. Welcome to 1stRound DraftPick’s Super Jersey Collection! In this thread, we’ll find out what every MLB team would look like if they kept ALL of their jerseys, and simply updated them. As a result, each team would have a plethora of uniforms to choose from for their 162 game schedules. I have a few rules for deciding which jersey to use/update. - Each team is limited to TWELVE (12) main rotation jerseys. Yes. Twelve. - Really old jerseys must be updated in some capacity. However, there are a few exceptions. - Jerseys that look too similar to a previous incarnation must be considered updates. Therefore, they cannot co-exist. - Teams can use jerseys from a previous iteration of their franchise, or from another franchise with the same name. For example, the current Milwaukee Brewers can use updated versions of the uniforms worn by the old Milwaukee Brewers that existed from 1894-1901, despite them being separate franchises. - New jerseys can also be added. Alright, with that out of the way….let’s get this started! Here’s a quick link to each team’s jersey collection: AL EAST Baltimore Orioles Boston Red Sox New York Yankees Tampa Bay Rays Toronto Blue Jays AL CENTRAL Chicago White Sox Cleveland Indians Detroit Tigers Kansas City Royals Minnesota Twins AL WEST Houston Astros Los Angeles Angels Oakland Athletics Seattle Mariners Texas Rangers NL EAST Atlanta Braves Miami Marlins New York Mets Philadelphia Phillies Washington Nationals NL CENTRAL Chicago Cubs Cincinnati Reds Milwaukee Brewers Pittsburgh Pirates St. Louis Cardinals NL WEST Arizona Diamondbacks Colorado Rockies Los Angeles Dodgers San Diego Padres San Francisco Giants
  14. Hi everyone, I recently found a few new soccer templates so I wanted to try them out. I am a huge Man U fan and I've been disappointed in their recent kits especially last seasons (except the away kit.) Anyways here are a primary, clash and third kit. Any cc would be appreciated!
  15. In 49 states it's just basketball, but this is Indiana. This mashup jersey draws inspiration from the rich history of Indiana high school basketball which is woven into the fabric of the state's sporting culture.

I dont know where to start to be honest so I will keep it short. First of I must tell you that my concepts would not be possible without @Hoopladawg87! He has given me much thought and guidance throughout the creative processes which resulted into this. I can't thank you enough, Hoopla! One thing you guys will probably notice that my template is basically a cheap copy of his, which it really is, and imitation is the sincerest form of flattery after all! So with my limited skills and an eye to detail severely lacking, I tried to make my template like his with the hopes that it would give the concepts a heightened sense of realism. As this is my first post on this great forum it felt only natural to present my favourite team, arguably the greatest franschise in the NBA - the Boston Celtics. The Boston Celtics home and away uniforms, now named association and icon, are timeless. Clean, classic and one of the most recognizable in sports. Ever since I saw the St. Patricks uniform I could never shake the feeling that gold is such a beautiful complementary colour to the kelly green and white. I made several renditions but I felt the gold trim was too much, too invasive and bordering on sacrilege. The route, or solution, was to change the Nike logo and players name on the back to gold. A minor change, almost unrecognizable but I feel it is in tune with Nike's minimalistic direction. All comments and criticisms are greatly appreciated! 17. I am starting "another" MLB thread, but the catch here is the concepts are modeled after the college baseball nike designs. This means a ton of options, fauxbacks, and non-traditional designs. The first team is the Houston Astros, a team many college programs model uniforms after. I took a page out of the NCAA's book and brought back the rainbow guts with a modern twist. Additionally, the more traditional options have added a shooting star above the team names. C&C are appreciated, but any edits will be about 2 months out.
  18. Just for fun. May turn in to a series. First up - Sacramento Kings. The baby blue, white, and red uniforms originally worn back in the 80's. Throughout the years the Kings have worn them as hardwood classic jersey and more recently they've been the inspiration behind the Kings' city uniforms. collage by NBA Uniforms Project, on Flickr I wanted to keep this trend going for the Kings. However, I also wanted to change it up a bit considering that we will likely see a new city uniform every year. For 2019/20 I designed the Kings city uniform to be predominately white. I was also inspired by the retro Kings' (Royals) jersey with bold simple piping. A little more modern by not including a wordmark - idea was that the colors and design should be easily identifiable. Retro Kings wordmark on shorts and regal emblem on waist band. Thoughts? C&C always appreciated. SacKingsCity by NBA Uniforms Project, on Flickr
  19. So in the past I have come up with a huge baseball league consisting of an ongoing amount of teams. I have most of them drawn on paper, now I've decided to attempt to put them onto the computer. I have designed t-shirts, hats, hoodies, and of course the uniforms for each team and I figured I'd share them with everyone! I am open to suggestions on any teams the I could bring to life as well. C+C appreciated! Here is the first team, starting with a logo and a shirt. Here is the Reno Kings.
  20. Well, after like 3 years of not posting anything on here due to starting college back in the day and other factors of life, I'm glad to be back. Back in 2015, I attempted to make an MLB redesign topic that was pretty below-average. Now I believe I have a solid template and a better understanding of the history of the MLB, so I'm gonna get back at it again, and do it right. So first off, lets realign the MLB again: NL East: Atlanta Braves Miami Marlins New York Mets Washington Nationals NL North: Cincinnati Reds Montréal Expos Philadelphia Phillies Pittsburgh Pirates NL Central: Chicago Cubs Colorado Rockies Milwaukee Brewers St. Louis Cardinals NL West: Arizona Diamondbacks Los Angeles Dodgers San Diego Padres San Francisco Giants AL East: Baltimore Orioles Boston Red Sox New York Yankees Tampa Bay Rays AL North: Detroit Tigers Cleveland Indians Minnesota Twins Toronto Blue Jays AL Central: Chicago White Sox Houston Astros Kansas City Royals Texas Rangers AL West: Los Angeles Angels Oakland Athletics Seattle Mariners Portland Pioneers Sweet and simple 32 team realignment. I hope you guys like what I've got in store concept-wise.
  21. After the announcement of Nike taking over the MLB in 2020 I wanted to start a new series, but given the multiple series relating the topic (all of them with great designs), I wanted to do something different. This series will only feature full-colour alt uniforms, whose designs will be inspired by the style Nike is currently using for their soccer kits (that’s where the series title comes from). Every team will use a pullover template, which tries to combine classic baseball uniforms with Nike’s Aeroswift style: The team list and order will be the following: AMERICAN LEAGUE Baltimore Orioles Boston Red Sox Chicago White Sox Cleveland Indians Detroit Tigers Houston Astros Kansas City Royals Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim Minnesota Twins New York Yankees Oakland Athletics Seattle Mariners Tampa Bay Rays Texas Rangers Toronto Blue Jays NATIONAL LEAGUE Arizona Diamondbacks Atlanta Braves Chicago Cubs Cincinnati Reds Colorado Rockies Los Angeles Dodgers Miami Marlins Milwaukee Brewers New York Mets Philadelphia Phillies Pittsburgh Pirates San Diego Padres San Francisco Giants St. Louis Cardinals Washington Nationals I'll be posting new designs on a weekly basis, every Wednesday and Sunday. I hope you enjoy this series as much as I did designing the uniforms!
  22. This is the latest iteration of a project that I've been working on for quite some time. I've never completely finished it, for one reason or another. Anyway, this is my vision of what the league could look like if it was Nike that had the exclusive contract with the league rather than Reebok followed by Adidas. The jersey template is based on pre-2014 Nike designs, so no flywire collars. Those look stupid. Following the real-life example of Nike and the NBA, every team will have four jerseys. However, they won't follow the same pattern as the NBA, i.e., teams can wear whichever jerseys they want whenever they want. The Nike NHL teams have one dark home jersey, one light road jersey, one dark alternate jersey and one light alternate jersey. Teams still wear dark colors at home and light colors on the road. Anyway, on with the show. Western Conference Pacific Division (8/8 primaries done, 8/8 alternates done) Anaheim Ducks Arizona Coyotes - PRIMARY PRIMARY REVISED ALTERNATE Calgary Flames - VINTAGE Edmonton Oilers Los Angeles Kings - PRIMARY ALTERNATE VINTAGE San Jose Sharks Vancouver Canucks - PRIMARY/ALTERNATE REVISED VINTAGE Vegas Golden Knights - PRIMARY ALTERNATE Central Division (7/7 primaries done, 7/7 alternates done) Chicago Blackhawks Colorado Avalanche - PRIMARY ALTERNATE Dallas Stars - PRIMARY/ALTERNATE REVISED Minnesota Wild - PRIMARY ALTERNATE Nashville Predators - PRIMARY ALTERNATE St. Louis Blues - PRIMARY ALTERNATE Winnipeg Jets - PRIMARY ALTERNATE VINTAGE Eastern Conference Metropolitan Division (8/8 primaries done, 8/8 alternates done) Carolina Hurricanes - PRIMARY ALTERNATE Columbus Blue Jackets New Jersey Devils - PRIMARY ALTERNATE New York Islanders - PRIMARY ALTERNATE PRIMARY/ALTERNATE REVISED New York Rangers - PRIMARY ALTERNATE Philadelphia Flyers - PRIMARY ALTERNATE Pittsburgh Penguins Washington Capitals - VINTAGE Atlantic Division (8/8 primaries done, 8/8 alternates done) Boston Bruins Buffalo Sabres - PRIMARY PRIMARY REVISED/ALTERNATE Detroit Red Wings - PRIMARY ALTERNATE Florida Panthers - PRIMARY ALTERNATE Montreal Canadiens Ottawa Senators - PRIMARY PRIMARY REVISED/ALTERNATE VINTAGE Tampa Bay Lightning - PRIMARY PRIMARY REVISED/ALTERNATE Toronto Maple Leafs - PRIMARY ALTERNATE Defunct Teams Atlanta Thrashers - PRIMARY ALTERNATE Hartford Whalers - PRIMARY ALTERNATE Quebec Nordiques - PRIMARY ALTERNATE World Cup of Hockey Canada - PRELIMINARY FINAL Czech Republic Finland Russia Sweden - PRELIMINARY FINAL United States - PRELIMINARY FINAL
  23. I've never done NBA concept series like this before. I've only done court designs but never jerseys. Big shout out to Hoopladawg87 for sharing one of his templates with me, and to Daniel Ramone for creating it. This series is mostly a tweak of what teams were wearing during the 2017/2018 season. Home and roads only for now. I hope to finish it. Up first, the Philadelphia 76ers No major changes here. Just reverting the roads to red because blue looks a little boring them. Updating the wordmark to match the font on their 2017/18 City Jersey which I think makes the jersey looks less cluttered (thin wordmark makes more room for thick side panels). #2. Orlando Magic Inspired by the T-Mac era jerseys, as 90s as they are, I think the stars could work (if Atlanta's triangles are any indication of a watermark pattern would look like) and they're a more unique identifier than pinstripes (which I think are a little tired). I also switched the blue out for a darker shade which I think suits a Florida team more. Feedback welcome of course.
  24. I don’t get why people seem to hate anything Nike does because it’s too ‘complicated’. I don’t get the hate. I love that kind of stuff and don’t understand what is wrong with them. Sure sometimes they look bad but sometimes it feels like people hate them simply because Nike. Like I don’t get the hate for the jags old set. Besides the helmet I really loved the set. The biggest criticism is that it is ‘too complicated’ but they never clarify it. I just think they looked really sleek. And now they are saying the same about the Titans new look Like why? Because god forbid we get a set that isn’t generic and stands out from the crowd. The sword on the sleeeves look awesome. Worst of all people will outright ignore problems of ‘classic’ sets because they’re classic and through fore means they’re perfect. Like the 49ers pants are a disgusting cream yellow and inconsistent striping but everyone treats them like they’re perfect. With the jags new uniforms people are outright praising them for being as generic as possible. I don’t get. They’ll always be a place for simplistity but why can’t we get fun and crazy uniforms too? Why does every uniform have to look the same? Id like some real criticisms to why the titans and jags old uniforms were bad and not ‘owe of course they’re bad just look at those sword and :censored:’ I want legitimate criticisms and it has to be consistent (example if you hate the jags patch for looking too cluttered you have to hate the Steelers patch too)
